CONTROL CODE/CHAPTER ID

HELLO EVERYONE,
CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN ME IN DETAIL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CONTROL CODE AND CHAPTER ID??????

its correct
when u create the chapter id the system have to updata table T604F
which is not happaning in ECC6 its a teble of control code
now after appling SAP note system will update T604F table and u will not get the error
u will have to delete all the entrienm in J1ID fopr chapter ID and creat once again
or u can directely upload those chapter ids in that table of control code
after appling that note system will do it for all new chapter id which u will create after appling this note

Suppose if you maintain the material and Chapter ID combination in J1ID then system will automaticaly copy that Chapter ID in Material master -Control code field in (fireign trade Import view).
Actualy the J1ID program is having so many includes, in that this perticular include is having the Material master -Control code (MARC-STEUC) link with material and chapter Id combination (J_1IMTCHID-J_1ICHID), that include is LJ1I5O02

Control Code from Material not picked in Sales Order after EHP4

Hi Gurus,
We have updated Enhancement Package 4 for one of our client.
It is observed that the system is not picking the values maintained in Control Code of Material master. We have some pricing condition types maintained using the combination of Control Code and other fields, which are not being determined automatically.
The data is maintained in J1ID for this material and plant combination and it is also filled in material master.
Please help.

Best way to send printer control codes?

What's the best way to send printer control codes in Netware 3.12? Should I
use a batch file that's run each time a particular queue is selected, or is
there something I should be doing with a pconsole option? I'm trying to get
rid of extra linefeeds and enable compressed printing. DOS environment, by
the way.
The printer in question is an Ithaca Pcos Series 50 ( #52 pn-06-0629), which
isn't one of the standard ones listed in Pconsole etc. It may emulate a
standard IBM though.

Never mind, I'm in a habit of answering my own posts these days. Just create
a job configuration in printcon that uses a device with the appropriate
device modes.
Is it just me, or is Netware queue-based printing a bit on the obtuse side?
Seems like it could have been made a whole lot easier (more linear?) to set
up.

I am trying to understand the purpose of Control Code(MARC-STEUC) field in Material master- Foreign Trade imports tab. I am also interested in knowing where does this field appear in our PO.

Normally control code specifies the norm to follow by the supply plant for a sale of exposrts. each contry will have a set of rules to get follow as a stuatory . this code specifies the rules or certificates.

Sending control codes to native program

Hello,
I execute a native application with Runtime.getRuntime().exec(), but the application does not return from proc.waitFor(). I feed the application from stdin. Other applications (e.g. cat) runs fine, so believe I have to terminate the input with a CTRL+D or something like this, but it does not work. How can I send a control code to the process?
I tried:

But why returns:

Does not help. I flush and close the stream. Same result.
The program which does not work is a C program and waits until feof() says it. So, I also thought closing the stream would help to get an EOF, but it doesn't.

What is a Budget Control Code?

On saving an ADI report I've created I'm getting the error message "You have entered a budget amount type without an associated control value assignment. Use control values to tie budgets to columns." Any idea what a Control Value is? Can't find it in the manuals anywhere. It seems to want a non zero integer value, which doesn't really narrow it down as much as I'd like...

I have figured out that the control code it refers to, it ties a column to a specific budget but do not know the values are. The General Ledger User guide comments (for FSG, page 4-18)
&BUDGET: Enter &BUDGET followed by a control value number
to print the budget name assigned to the control value number
when you define your report.
I suspect that the numbers live in GL_BUDGET_VERSION.CONTROL_BUDGET_VERSION_ID...but my access (ADI only) does not allow me to easily query this...

Control code means it is HSN number for the material . While craeting the material master we can put this is Sales view . It is given by govt department . Base on control code the duty calculate . For examplae 8888.00 the duty is 8% . so if the CIF value is 100 then accessable value will be CIF*1.01 . Base on accesseble value ths duty calculate . How much percentage to calculate is given by goverment department .

Printer control codes

Anyone know where to get printer control codes for an HP Laserjet printer? Back in the old days of dot matrix printers, the manuals always had tables for ASCII, HEX or IBM, etc control codes. I have some old "Basic" software that I want to imbed printer commands to do things like expanded print, bold print, etc.

Does trim replace some characters with control code versions in xml?

I am using trim to remove extra white space and linefeeds from xml files and it works fine except that occasionally it replaces xml close element symbols (>) with the control code > used to delineate a > symbol that is not to be interpreted as as the xml character. What gives here? I thought all trim did was eliminate leading and trailing characters whose code was greater than '\u0020'.
I am using Java 1.5 but this happened with 1.4 as well.

This does not happen consistently and can only be seen when loaded to IE. The Framework that I am working with in Websphere sees the error but neither XMLSpy or Eclipse has a problem with the file.

I just checked the Documentation and it is for Poland. This might not be useful. Try the T-code that I had given or the path is SPRO->SD->Foreign Trade/Customs--->Basic Data for Foreign trade and Define comodity codes/Import codes by country.

Using ASCII control codes with BI Publisher

When trying to print barcodes with BI publisher, I cannot convert the special ASCII control code "GS" (n° 29) with the barcode font I am using (IDAutomationC128S). I got this font some time ago, together with the xdocore.jar file containing the java class that implements the algorithm to encode in 128 barcode. I all works fine when it comes to encode strings containing normal or traditional chars, I get the start char, the stop char, and the checksum control char. However, the client asked us now to insert variable length fields in the barcode. This fields must start with the number "240" so that the barcode reader will know that there's a variable length field next, and they must have the ASCII control code "GS" (group separator, n° 29) to mark the end of the field.
I first tried to insert this char by doing ALT+29, and I got this: "↔". However, the font I am using does not recognize this char and it does not transform it into a barcode. I then went to the ID Automation website (http://www.idautomation.com/fonts/code128/faq.html) and I saw that, in order to code this char, I should use the symbol "}". I added that in my string, at the end of the field, but then the barcode reader shows the symbol itself and it does not interpret it as the "GS" control code.
Anybody knows how to deal with that? Anybody knows/has a font able to show this kind of chars?

In your report query you can use logic like the following to conditionally report on a single or multiple selected values.
For example you have a page (page 11) where you call the report from and on that page you place a shuttle or multi-select item named P11_PERSON_ID_LIST. When shuttle and multi-select items contain values they are separated by colons. Looks like 213:342:234:456:543
You can then reference the P11_PERSON_ID_LIST in your query like the following.
SELECT p.person_id
,p.person_name
FROM people p
WHERE (:P11_PERSON_ID_LIST IS NULL
OR instr(':'||:P11_PERSON_ID_LIST||':',':'||p.person_id||':') > 0)
You can also use logic like the following in your report queries when you have a single optional value in an item.
SELECT p.person_id
,p.person_name
FROM people p
WHERE p.person_id = nvl(:P11_PERSON_ID, p.person_id)

Release Controled code and the Cloud i.e LR 5.3rc

Lightroom 5.3rc has just been announced. What are the options for user contol over using Release Controled code if you are using a Cloud version of the LR code?
This something it would be nice to know, before making a commetment to use the Cloud.

I finally installed Adobe Lightroom CC app successfully, but Photoshop CC did not load due the 'download appears corrupted'. No other help is offered except to try again in a few minutes which I have several times to to no avail. Code U43M1D204 was provided.
