Control icons on slide show

In photoshopCS3/web photo gallery, how can one add labels to the control icons on the bottom left of the slide show?

You will have to edit the HTML code or the linked source images/ Flash content thatz make up the buttons.

  • Control Bar in Slide Show

    7.1.3
Is there a way to get rid of the control bar which pops up anytime you move the mouse during the slide show? I am putting together an audio visual presentation with two laptops and a bunch of other stuff.
(video/audio mixer, stage lighting etc.) With a split screen I can run iPhoto/iMovie from either laptop on the "big" screen while controlling the sound from the laptop through the small screen....
Problem is, while the audience is watching the big screen, and I touch the mouse, the control bar shows up at the bottom of their screen......no good....
    Thanks.

You're rather far beyond the intended uses of iPhoto there my friend. No there's no way to stop that menu appearing. You might be best to consider using a different application or export the slideshow as a Quicktime Movie. Alternative apps which might help are PhotoToMovie or PhotoPresenter, both of which integrate with iPhoto.

  • Disabling the control  in a slide show

I am creating a flash slide presentation with my own buttons
to navigate through the slides. My question is how do I disable the
built in navigation so the user has to use my buttons instead of
the keyboard arrows or by clicking on the screen?

    1. Activate "thumbnails" in the configuration panel
    2. Select one Thumbnail.
    3. Rightclick and choose "Select same"
    4. Press "backspace"
    5. Open the configuration panel and load the new images.

  • Problem controlling Flash Slide Show

I would like to use a static image to control a flash slide
show; in which clicking the image would start the preloader and the
slide show at the same time. I have just inserted a flash slide
show which immediately preloads and starts the slide show when the
webpage is loaded. I have inserted a large play button image and
assigned the proper behavior attributes to try and control the
slide show without any success. Here is the webpage:
    http://www.ronusa.com/buick_grand_national.htm
Please see the attached code for the slide show. Any help
    would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Ned. When I say slide I mean instead of a scene.  There is a presentation and then the slide under it. If I click on the presentation it has one key frame and I think that  is what's playing when I try to import the swf into a video editing program or try to export to a quicktime movie. Its like it never plays the slide, just the presentation which has nothing but the one key frame.  When I play just the swf it does fine, but I can't export it to a quicktime movie.
The design of the slide is just text, jpgs and music transitioning in and out.
My intention is to import a movie into youtube. For some reason a swf does not import very well. So that is why I wanted to convert the swf to a movie. Thanks again for your help.

  • CUxAC 8.6 Call Control Icons not displayed

Anyone came across a new install of CUxAC 8.6, were the call control icons are not showing at all. If so, how can you get them to show? The icons im speaking about are the few icons between the F7 and F8 area.

It has been resolved for me. When looking around I noticed that I did not have the option to select toolbars under the view section. So I just did a uninstall/reinstall of the CUxAC software and it came back online properly with the toolbar>Call Control toolbar options available now.
Maybe a bad install or the senstivity of the software, not exactly sure.

  • How can I control the music that plays during Apple TV photo slide shows?

I don't want to make my parents listen to Breaking Benjamin music as they watch my photo slide shows on Apple TV. Need something more sedate. But if a B.B. song is in my iTunes music library, it is a candidate for random selection as background music for my slide shows. How do I control what music plays during Apple TV photo slide shows?

What I find is really silly, is the fact the music video's are listed under that artists albums in the Music menu. And when you go into the video 'album' (called 'Unknown' unless you change it) there is an option to shuffle the tracks. Clicking this just results in an error message. So, they should either remove that option if it is a video album, or, better yet, GET IT TO WORK. So silly of them to omit this.
    I have submitted feedback.

  • Where is the frame rate setting control when making a slide show?

I am trying to make a slide show using QuickTime Pro and cannot find the frame rate control.I put all my consectively-numbered jpegs in one folder. I then clicked on "File," the "Open Image Sequence," then a window opened up and I click on the first jpeg in the series of photos I want in my slide show. Then the first image appears in the QT Window. The instructions next say that I should be able to change the rate at which each slide/jpeg appears, but it doesn't tell you where to find the "frame rate" so I can change it. It doesn't appear at all on its own, so where is it? Anything else I'm missing? Thank you.

What version of Photoshop Elements and or Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system?
In addition, could you please clarify?
It sounds like you are creating your slideshow in the Elements Organizer. Where are you seeing these distortions and blurs, in the Elements Organizer Slideshow Editor Filmstrip or in the Premiere Elements workspace after you have transferred the slideshow from the Elements Organizer 9 Slideshow Editor to Premiere Elements workspace?
What are the pixel dimensions of the photos in this slideshow and how many of these photos are in the slideshow? What format are they in..jpg, psd, other?
With regard to what you wrote:
Also how do I transport them from Elements to Premier, it has a tab to do that but when I get to the elements file I don't know where to drag and drop into.
If you are in the Elements Organizer Slideshow Editor and use the Output option Edit with Premiere Elements, then you would expect the automatic transfer of the slideshow to Premiere Elements, with a copy in video format (.psess) in the project media as well as on the Timeline. Nothing for you to drag and drop.
For all those reasons, I am asking for clarification.
    Thanks.

Unfortunately not. Lion has made many adjustments to the previous system. Try opening your pdfs in keynote.

    Oroilore-
I do not see a way to disable the Picture Frame icon.  I looked at Settings-Picture Frame, but none of the options turns it off.  The only way I can thinik of, would be if all of your photos had been deleted.  If there were no photos, you couldn't have a slide show!
One thing to try is to reset (reboot) your iPad.  Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow.  The iPad will restart after a couple of minutes.  Resetting this way will not hurt anything, and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.

  • Manually controlled slide show?

I'm feeling like a bit of an idiot since it seems to me that I should be able to do this, and that it should be in an obvious place ... but I can't find it.
I would like to set up a slide show that advances on a mouse click. I can do what I want by selecting "edit photo using full screen." But then I lose things like transitions and music. I can also do it with the controls on the screen, but that is also less than desirable ... since the controls are on the screen.
I could load the photos into PowerPoint, but then I would have to redo everything if I edited a photo.
    Duncan

    Duncan:
That can be done by setting the slide timing to 600 seconds in the Setting pane. That will give you ten minutes for each slide and then you can move to the next one with a mouse click. You can use the Apple Remote if you're on a laptop with Photo Booth capability.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Slide Show Screen Saver Superimposed Images Flag or Ball -- Bug?

    Hi,
I have searched and found two other archived questions on this topic, but no real answers. Please help!
I have the screen saver set to do a slide show from the Pictures folder, where I have lots of family photos. This works fine, but about every 10th photo or so, it shows the picture, and the next image is the same photo, with a weird low-res ("jagged edges"), blown-up (full-screen), icon-like image in the middle, superimposed upon my image. It's usually circular, often has a national flag or comic scheme to it, sometimes has a face, and always has effects to make it look round like a ball, which it usually is in shape (though sometimes it's not circular). When I look, my images have not been altered recently and don't seem affected, so the problem seems to reside in the system, right?
I'm not a techie but I have used Mac since 1985 and remember reading several years back in one of the Mac mags about such a problem -- whether termed a trojan or whatever. I do have all my old Mac data and apps in a folder on my mini, so it's possible it could have been pulled over from my last Mac and a remnant of some prior vulnerability. But I've never seen this behavior before OSX, neither Norton nor ClamXav finds a problem, and I can't seem to find ref to that article by net searching or here. What causes this, and how can I solve it? It really bothers my mother-in-law to see pix of her grandkids with weird flags superimposed on them, and I'm wondering if this is some Mac problem with more serious consequences not yet discovered by Norton or ClamXav. Thanks.
P.S. Here's the text of one of the archived messages:
    Screen saver

Whenever the slide show runs from my pictures out of iphoto on my screen saver, other pictures appear occasionally on top of my pictures. They are usually other country flags or weird shapes with jagged edges. Any idea how to keep this from happening or where these other pictures are coming from? Thanks.
    Mini   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

The problem is not with the screensaver but rather that the Pictures folder insists on having the iChat flags alias inside it. Since the screensaver recognizes aliases I have moved all my photos out of the "Pictures" folder and into another folder called "Pictures not screensaver". This is because the screensaver will show ALL pictures in the Pictures folder regardless of how embarassing they are. That leaves the Pictures folder for just aliases to pictures or folders of pictures. This allows me to control exactly what pictures are shown on the screensaver. It is an area of OSX that needs some improvement.
Regarding the superimposed images, that is normal. Those iChat icons are transparent, while JPGs are not transparent. Screensaver piles newer pictures on top of older pictures. If it piles transparent images such an GIF or PNG on top of previous pictures they may be transparent and cause an alarming effect.
I have imagined this feature could be used in some cool way but have never seen anyone do it. For example, nice JPG backgrounds with semi-transparent PNGs on top with zooming animals. I suspect Apple will introduce such a screensaver in 10.5.

  • IDVD slide show autostart

    Hi,
I'm new to this so please have patience as I try to explain (thanks).
I made a slide show in iMovie and all I want to do is burn it to a DVD with no menu's. I need it to autostart when the DVD is placed in the DVD player. Is there a way to do that? When I transfer to iDVD it asks me to pick a theme and I don't want one, I just want it to be burned as is and play form a DVD player.
    thanks

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
    This is from iDVD Help:
+_Creating a DVD that plays automatically when it is inserted into a DVD player_+
+You can create a DVD that consists of a single movie or slideshow that begins to play automatically when the viewer inserts the DVD into a player. Such a movie or slideshow is called an “autoplay” movie or slideshow. You can also set the movie or slideshow to loop so that it plays continuously in what is called “kiosk mode.” This is great for creating presentations to be used in a kiosk or for making simple projects that require minimum viewer interaction.+
    +To create a looping autoplay DVD:+
+Open iDVD and choose “Create a New Project” in the dialog that appears.+
+Type a name for your project in the Save As field, and then click Create.+
+The iDVD window opens with a default theme selected. This theme will not appear in your final DVD because an autoplay DVD does not use a theme.+
+Click the Map button (shown below) to open the DVD map.+
+Click Media to open the Media pane, then click Photos or Movies.+
+Drag a movie or a photo album, or even a single image, from the Media pane to the project icon.+
+You can also drag images or movies stored elsewhere on your computer or a connected server.+
+You can use photos, movies, presentation slides (created in a program such as Keynote), or other image files in a slideshow created in iDVD. iDVD works with any image file that is supported by QuickTime (including PICT, JPEG, TIFF, and PDF.)+
+To turn on looping for the autoplay movie or slideshow (a single image is also considered a slideshow in this context), click the project icon and then choose Advanced > Loop Movie or Loop Slideshow.+
+If you added a movie with sound, the audio of the movie is retained, so the viewer hears it during autoplay.+
+If you added a slideshow, you can double-click the project icon to open the slideshow editor. There you can add a single audio file or a playlist as a soundtrack and set other slideshow features, such as transitions and slide duration.+
+Click the Preview button to see how your movie or slideshow looks.+
+The iDVD remote control opens, and your DVD begins to play immediately.+
+When you’re finished, click the Exit button on the DVD remote control to return to the iDVD window.+
+If you are sure your project is the way you want it, you can burn it to a DVD. When you put the final DVD into a DVD player, it begins to play immediately and will continue to play until you stop it.+
    Good luck with your project

  • Text with slide show

I saw a slide show that I think was made with iDVD that had text identifying the photo. Was this something done with software like Photoshop? I can find nothing in iDVD that would allow me to insert text with a photo.
Also during my first attempt of putting in photos from iphoto I got a notice that I could only put in 30 photos. Consequently I put in sub menus creating three sections for 90 photos. It know seems that I didn't need to do that as it appears that you can use 99 photos. I can't remember the sequence of events that prompted the notice of 30 photo maximum but it did happen.
    Doug

    Hi Douglas
To Your first question. Yes I would bet on that it was done with PhotoShop™
or any other photo editing program.
Your second: Dont know. I use iMovie to make my slideshows and here
there are no limit and a much higher controll over the presentation. You
could even put text on Your photos here but in a rather crude way.
BUT - there are lots of people saying that there is a resolution loss this
way. I think that it has to do with how You go from iMovie to iDVD (not
via the Share/Export to iDVD from within imovie - but - just drop the
project icon into an open iDVD theme window).
    Yours Bengt W

  • Moving Slide Show from iPhoto into iDVD does not capture music

I have created several slide shows in iPhoto. I recently photographed a wedding and created a slide show set to music from my iTunes playlist. When I sent the slideshow to iDVD it picked up the transitions, timing, etc., but did not pick up the music. I am at a loss, as I have tried to drag and drop the music and that won't work.

First double click where it say's slideshow (assuming you have already added your photos to iDvd). If you haven't then see the link and instructions below.
Now insert the audio cd, open it, and drag & drop the audio file directly to the slideshow audio well as in the above example.
    http://www.wonderhowto.com/software/apple-idvd-video/
    Adding sound to a slideshow
Adding a soundtrack to a slideshow can enhance the mood or tone of the slideshow, provide information, or tell a story. You can use a song or entire playlist from your iTunes library, music you composed in GarageBand, and even a voiceover you recorded in GarageBand or some other application. You can also use any audio files that QuickTime supports (including AIFF/AIFC, Audio CD, AAC, MP3, WAV, and MPEG-4).
If you add audio to your slideshow, you can’t set the slideshow to advance manually.
To add a soundtrack to a slideshow:
Double-click the button for your slideshow on the DVD menu to open the slideshow editor.
Click the Media button to open the Media pane, and then click Audio.
Click GarageBand to find songs in GarageBand, or iTunes to find music in your iTunes library.
Drag a playlist or a song from the Audio pane to the audio well (shown below) in the slideshow editor.
You can also drag audio files from another folder on your hard disk or from a connected server to the audio well. The audio well icon changes from a speaker to one that corresponds with the type of file you added.
The slide duration is automatically set to “Fit to Audio” to ensure that the slideshow and soundtrack finish at the same time. If you want to manually change how long each slide stays onscreen, choose the number of seconds from the Slide Duration pop-up menu.
When you do this, the slideshow and music may become out of sync, so it’s important to preview the slideshow to make sure you like it. Click the Preview button at the bottom of the iDVD window, which brings up the iDVD remote control. Click Exit in the remote control to return to the slideshow editor.
Click the Return button to exit the sideshow editor.
If the Slide Duration pop-up menu is set to “Fit to Audio,” and the music is too short for all the slides and transitions, iDVD sets the slide duration to the smallest duration above 1 second that allows it to play or repeat the song completely.
If you add a playlist to the audio well, the songs play in the slideshow in the same order they appear in the playlist. If you want to change the order of songs, do that in iTunes and then add the playlist to your DVD again.
If you add movies that have audio to your slideshow, you can hear this audio when a movie is playing in the slideshow. If your slideshow has a soundtrack, the soundtrack fades out while the movie is playing so that the movie audio can be heard. This is a default setting (”Duck audio while playing movies”) in the slideshow editor, controlled in the Settings dialog.
To delete the audio from a slideshow, simply drag the music icon out of the audio well. To replace the existing audio, drag a new song or playlist into the audio well.
