I dropped a book and it pried off the #3 key. Just the silver key fell off, the white hinge is still there and all the plastic things on the back of the key are still there. Any suggestions on how to put it back on?

You should know, however, that it can be a little tricky, not complicated, just a little tricky to do it correctly. So, if you're near a friendly AASP or an Apple Store, you might try to bring it in there and see if you might prevail upon them to do it for you. Someone who knows how to do it from experience and has done it before, can make quick work of it for sure.

My Volume Up (F12) Key fell off of my keyboard and I don't know what to do.

I accidentally fell asleep while i was on my macbook pro and when i woke up my key fell off, I don't know how to fix it and i've tried forcing it back in but that doesn't work at all, Help?

if your keycap doesn’t reättach, then it might have lost a bit of the plastic tab that keeps it secured on the key mechanism. If that’s the case, then you’ll need to hunt around on online auction sites for a replacement F12 keycap, since Apple doesn’t sell replacement keycaps separately.

Left Shift Key fell off

Hi guys, I don't know if this is such a weird issue but about two weeks or so ago, my left shift key fell off. I knew I couldn't snap it back on since one of the mini white clips on the upper side (back portion) of the key is missing.
Right now, I can put it back on the keyboard but it wiggles as I know it doesn't fit securely as it used to be. I wish I could take a photo of it and post it on here.
This should be covered by the generic 1-yr battery, right?

1-yr battery or warranty? The falling apart of keys may or may not be covered. There are various things that can happen to keyboards which are controllable by Apple, and the user. I would call AppleCare if you believe you didn't do anything that might damage the computer. A list of things that could include:
1. Food
2. Water
3. Drink
4. Walking by door jams without making sure the machine is inside a well padded notebook bag.
5. Not paying attention to situations where the computer apparently overheats and shuts down on its own. Making sure that the machine has its display turn off when the lid is closed, and making sure that the battery is replaced if it is under the exchange program.

Macbook Pro Down Arrow key fell off.

Macbook Pro Down Arrow key fell off. Any DIY, or does it have to go to the store? I'm fairly certain the local MacAuthority has a fix, but i'd like to get it done now. I saw a 30 minute long youtube video about it, but he doesn't mention the arrow keys. The only thing similar is the small function keys. And I don't think it's the same mechanism.

I would be concerned too the up arrow key on my keyboard was not working. I found an article that can assist with further isolating and troubleshooting issues with the built in keyboard. The "?" key fell off...

so this is the dilemma. my "?" key fell off. which is incredibly annoying. I had it sent in and it came back missing. I mean, i have the key, but it isn't attached. does anyone have tips on putting it back on? because it is a real bugger...

The Shift key fell off...

Okay, so I got my MBP a couple of weeks ago. It's been awesome, but last night the Shift key just fell completely off. It still works fine etc, but the plastic cover is not there.
Is there a way to get a replacement key? Phone support is kind of lacking, so I'd much rather work it out online.

I just talked to the phone support people about my MBP ctrl key. The guy told me that I would have to go the an Apple store, an authorized service/support store, or send my whole computer away for a week to get the key and then it would be sent back to me.
....so I'm going to the Apple store. It's so far away.... google maps sez: 60.6 mi – about 1 hour 10 mins
Le sigh. It's a part that could fit in a standard envelope, but I have to journey to the farlands or send away my baby.

Qosmio X series - keybaord key come off, how to replace it?

I have problem with S button on my keyboard was not working properly after pressing (didnt bounce back) so I try to fix it. LOL I clean it but I am not able to put it back in the plastic rack under the black button is broke and I am not able to put button back in. Do you know how I can fix it and where to buy missing part in UK?
I have contacted with Toshiba and I can send my laptop for warranty repair but that will takes like 2 weeks. And it is just bloody one key from keyboard.

It's pretty easy to do, get something thin like a credit card and run it along the bottom and sides of the keyboard and there are several bracket things that will pop the keyboard up when you pressure them. There will be a couple of cables to clip out behind it so lift it up gently.
You should be able to find a video on youtube anyway!

A key on my key board fell off. What do I do?

I was cleaning my keyboard today and the H key fell off. I managed to get it back on but now it is really stiff and you have to use some serious force to get it to work. When I take it off again it works fine without the key attached.
I got my MBP in 2008 so my apple care is long gone and I live in a city without an apple store. Would I be able to take it to a computer repair shop to get it fixed? Is it even fixable?

Key fell of my Blackberry

Multiple selection with control key in ring, enum, or radio buttons on Speedy-33 ?

Hi all,
I want to create a list of entries via ring, enum, or radio buttons. I just want the user to be able to select more than one entry from the list.. This is normally doable with windows applications by using control key. However, how could I do the same thing or let the user choose more than one entry from the list? Any idea is greatly appreciated..

To answer your question, I'm not sure I've ever actually seen a ring, enum, or radio button control exhibit the "CTRL+click" behavior you're describing. (In fact, I think all of those user interface elements are designed specifically so that only one value can be selected at any one time.)
However, I have seen plenty of list boxes allow multiple selection, and LabVIEW's list boxes can do the same. A group of checkboxes can also end up looking like radio buttons if you group them with some "decoration" and would allow you to select multiple options (because you can check/uncheck each box independently).
I'm not quite sure, though, how your question relates to LEGO specifically. Did you accidentally post this question to the wrong discussion forum?
To address Eagles Coach's statements, the official Move block uses checkboxes in the "Port" section of the configuration pane in the MINDSTORMS software, not radio buttons. The Motor block uses mostly radio buttons, and I didn't see any sections that allow multiple selections.
