Control Numbers generated in B2B

The control numbers in B2B are picked from the view "B2B_INSTANCEMESSAGE" which is based on the table B2B_EXT_BUSINESS_MESSAGE.
I want to know if there is any sequence for the generation of these numbers in the table. I need to reset the control numbers generated by B2B.

Hi Ravdeep,
B2B_INSTANCEMESSAGE gives you information reg a message thats already processed. you cant touch upon it for any design time information.
In 11g, Pl have a look at the B2B_CONTROL_NUMBER table. This is the table which is referenced at real time to identify the control numbers of the edi document, wrt the TP & Direction.
What is the precise requirement?

We are presently moving from an older EDI translator to B2B, and the requirement is to ensure that we start from the next number that the older translator has generated for the ISA and GS control numbers. This would ensure that the trading partners don't receive a duplicate control numbers (control number already generated by the previous translator) and may reject the file, marking it as duplicate. Most trading partners check for duplicates based on control numbers of the incoming file.

What is the best approach to generate control numbers from bpel?

Internally Oracle B2B uses DB sequence for generating the control numbers. It is the best approach but at the same time it is not very straight forward, specially in case of clustered database. So you may carefully implement same with BPEL.

We were thinking about using this to send out duplicate messages to two TPs but we decided to go with java callout as you suggested in another thread.

Add "Trailing Nullcolls" to sql loader control files generated by OWB

Hi gurus,
I've got a problem loading data with SQL Loader. I need to add the parameter "trailing nullcols" into the SQL Loader control file generated by OWB. I don't want to do this by saving the skript on my hard disk and run it manually, so any ideas where I can put this parameter? I am using OWB 10.1 on a windows 2000 machine.

I found the solution to problem.
1; Select the mapping where you map your source flat file to a table.
2; Right click on the mapping and select "configure"
3; Go Sources and Targets -> YOUR_TABLE_NAME -> SQL*Loader Parameters
4; Set Trailing Nullcols = true :-)

Control a generator with a control volage by serial port RS232

Hello everybody,
I would like to control a generator thanks to a control voltage. This last one would be sent to a switch wich turns on the generator.
To do that, I want to link the switch and the computer with a serial port RS232 by using NI-USN 232 cable.
I made some research on this subject and I am only a beginner on LabView but I would like to use one (or several) pin which will send 5V in voltage when I want.
Is that possible? Is there another way to make it?

Maybe, I didn't explain myself correctly.
For example, on the Raspberry Pi, you can control a card by sending 3,3V signal with RS232 port (I made it last year so it makes a sense).
What I want to do here is to control an electronic card that turns on my generator after. I don't have enough to buy a generator controlled unless you know one not very expensive.

I need to design a Labview problem as a Multi-channel Sequential Controlling Pulse Generator and output through DAQ card. The required digital pulses are showns in the attachment. Time scale values are shown on the top as an example. CLK's duty cycle is 0.5. x1 and x2's value need to be programable.
Could anyone give example codes? Or, give me any idea to program these pulses?

Controlling the Boolean Controls and generating Numeric Output correspondingly

Hello everyone,
I am working on a project of electrode activation, here I was thinking that how could I control one electrode at a time and generate a numeric output of it correspondingly. I want to substitute each electrode with a an LED on Front Panel and generate numeric value of each LED on Block Diagram.
So it can be divided into two parts
1- Control the Boolean outputs
Here, my target is that if I have 5 leds who are used as Boolean control, should be controlled in such a way that only one of them glows at a time and the remaining turns off.
I mean that for instance if #3 was glowing and the user pressed #2 then #3 should be turned off and only #2 glows.
2- Generating Numeric value correspondingly
Then according to the position of LEDs I want to generate a numeric value correspondingly, like previously output 3 was coming and the output 2 comes when second LED glows.
I request all the participants on this group to help me on it.

Thanks very much Dennis, Its really what i need.
But i have a bounding in the radio button to place all option together.
Since i am activating the appropiate electrode on the body, all the options could not come vertically or horizontally.
So can you pls guide me how can i make my 5 electrode behave like a radio control.

In the associated pageflow, it generated a Databaseform bean and for the dates, it used a timestamp type.
Which format should I use in the input of the form field ??
each time i submit, the value in the action form is null ...
what to do ? what should I modify in the rowset control, if I want to deal with string values til the real insert ?

Numbers generates recovered files on bootup

Does anyone else experience this?
Whenever I have used Numbers '09, the next time I do a cold bootup (power down, cold startup) in the trash I find recovered files, always the same one. Like this actual example:

Always the file "style-thumbail-Basic.tiff". Pages also always produces a similar error; I don't just now recall the file it generates.
Does anyone else experience this? Yes I've reported it to Apple. Yes I've repaired permissions. Yes I've checked for disk errors with Disk Utility.
It doesn't really seem to be a problem, other than the fact that there are recovered files means some kind of error has occurred.

I identified these 'recovered files' linked to Numbers.
They are the thumbnails of recents documents which are no longer available.
On my machine, I sat the number of recents documents to twenty.
On every morning, during the startup process, the preferences file is replace by a script which I wrote, by a clean one designed to get rid of possible corruption.
As the stored thumbnails are no longer matching the 'recent documents' described in the installed prefs file, they are dropped and I retrieve them in the trash.
So, don't worry.
The only surprising feature is that they appear as 'Recovered'

Dates change from Numbers generated xls file when copy/pasted

I've saved a Numbers '09 file as xls and sent it to an Excel 2003 for Windows user. The file looks great when they open it in Excel 2003. But, when they copy and paste data into a different Excel 2003 file, the date changes about 4 years, which seems to make this a 1900/1904 issue. But why? If Excel 2003 opened up the original xls file generated by Numbers ok, why can't the dates be copy and pasted into another Excel 2003 spreadsheet?

Apple uses a year pattern that starts with the first day of the first leap year in the 20th century.
Microsoft originally adopted a year pattern that began with the first day of the last year of the 19th century (1900) which, although it was a year divisible by 4, was not a leap year.
Later, MS added the 1904 start pattern, but kept the1900 start pattern as well.
What is likely happening in the case you describe is this:
When Numbers traslates the document into Excel format and saves it, Numbers apparenly includes the flag that tells Excl 'use the 1904 start for dates.' Excel open the file, reads the code, and sets the calendar accordingly.
When the Excel 2003 user then copies the data frm that document, the copy picks up only the date serial number(s), and does not get the coded flag identifying which date system is in use.
That data is then pasted into the new Excel document, and with no flag to tell it different, Excel uses its 'normal' setting—the calendar starts on January 1, 1900—and all dates are interpreted as being four years earlier than they were in the original Numbers table or in the first Excel sheet.
I'd assume there is a setting that can be changed in Excel. Where to find it/how to use it would be a good question for an Excel community discussion site. (Although it's possible an answer might arrive here as well.)

If the OP needs this for cryptographic purpose, then yes, SecureRandom is better. But if the OP needs it for his/her dice-game, then Random will suffice.
(SecureRandom is RNG, Random is PRNG).If you mean that SecureRandom is a true random generator and Random is a pseudo random generator, you are gravely mistaken. SecureRandom is a pseudo random generator as well!

You should also get both the programming manuals for the instruments. Remember that Labview drivers is not really drivers. They are more a program for controlling some instrument. The are seldom complete, regarding all instrument functions. Use them as a base for your own application
Steps:
1 download the driver
2 Unzip to a separate folder
3 Read the documentation
4 Test the "driver"
