Control panel problem w/ mx440-t8x

hi.
i have purchased a mx440-t8x 64 Mb DDR 8X (support agp 4x) and installed it on MBB asus a7v (agp 2x/4x), 750 MHz, 256 Mb RAM, 40 Gb HDD, OS w98se. but when i install msi vga driver from original cd-rom, control panel don't work and say "explorer: program will be interrupted" and the control panel window close after. PLEASE, if someone knows how i can make this work, please say me.

Not all audio formats are supported by the MPEG-2 Playback Component.

QuickTime Pro doesn't edit "playback formats" (like MPEG 1 or 2) so you won't see any edit options on these files.
You'll need some third party software to convert your MPEG-2 files into QuickTime formats (DV Stream is best for preserving quality) if you wish to edit.

K7N2 audio control panel problems

Help! ive just recently bought this nforce2 motherboard, installed win98se fresh, and installed all of the drivers, however i want to enable 4 speaker mode, and the manual says to use the nvidia control panel, my panel wont open, it comes up with could not initialize audio drivers, the sound at the moment is stereo and seems ok, so whats going on here?
ive got the latest v2.00 drivers and here is my pc spec

Yes, this is what I thought also. But I don't think it does. It has the s-bracket JSP2 connector but it (s-bracket) doesnt work.
It really doesnt matter now though as you can see I listed it on ebay with my old cpu. I will likely buy me an EPoX 8RDA+. It outperforms the 6570 in performance and has all the bells and whistles.
MSI has some horrible customer service. However, I must admit you have been very responsive and helpful but, you are not live tech suport.

I called their support long distance number and was on hold for about 45 minutes, off and on, and the last time I was on hold I put my phone on speakerphone and went in the other room. The guy came back on said, "hello sir? Hel..Click!" I didn't have time to say anything! I was so pissed I wanted to take my motherboard back right then. He kept having to ask other people questions about my problem. It was just plain rediculous. That is just one of the reasons this motherbaord is on ebay. I about to put my MSI Geforce4 4600 vtd on ebay also because I dont want to have to deal with MSI CS.

ICloud control panel problem

Hi all,
I'm running iCloud control panel on Windows Vista Professional SP2 with only three sync options enabled (Contacts, Calendars & Tasks and Photo Stream), but I have the problem that every time I restart the PC I find the "Photo Stream" checkbox unchecked.
Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? Any idea how to fix it?

Well, I don't know if this will be a temporary or permanent fix, but I disinstalled and reinstalled iCloud control panel, and now, also after a PC reboot, it keeps the "Photo Stream" checkbox checked.
Let's hope for the future .

ICloud Control Panel Problems

Hi all,
I run a Windows 7 Home Premium laptop and two days ago my iCloud email disappeared from Outlook 2011. I opened the iCloud Contol Panel and this is what was shown:
Whereas this should be, by all accounts, the Panel that should be viewed:
As you can see, the option to configure with outlook is no longer available on my 'Panel'.
I've uninstalled the iCloud and reinstalled but I still have the same issue.
Anybody out there having the same problem or does anybody know of a 'Fix'.

If you would like to use iClouds Contact and Calendar modules you should download a copy of EMClient. It will setup an iCloud account automatically, and it is good, far better than Outlook is. Once more the iCloud Control panel is not a part of this.
It's a powerful program, read the directions and consult the documentation when you need to.

Control Panel problem updating to LR 2.7

Hi, this is probably not a LR problem per se, but I AM trying to update to 2.7 and thought someone else may have encountered this problem.
I'm on XP SP3, LR 2.6. I do all of my work by accessing one of my external HDs, where I have all of my LR files. This works great for me.
When I tried to update to 2.7 I get the message: "The files does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options Control Panel."
I don't recall having this message when I updated to 2.6 although the file situation was the same. I'll be grateful if someone can help this computer-challenged doofus with exact action to take so I don't screw everything up? Or perhaps tell me where to go (be nice!) - google was no help . . .

Well, the question was asked more in hope than anticipation. I don't believe I really would benefit from 2.7 anyway so I'm going to skip it. I'll wait for LR 3 and hope I have better luck with that.
If I could erase this I would . . .

Problems with MX440-T8X

Having problems running any 3D stuff with the video card - even the 3D flower screen saver doesn't run smooth. As for 3D games, a message comes up stating "Can not create direct 3D device". As for the system, latest drivers are loaded and the system consists of:

It does not sound like you have your Video Drivers Properly loaded. I would load either the MSI Drivers from the website or get the nVidia Detonator4 Drivers from the nVidia Website.

LYNC 2013 control panel error: this page cannot be displayed

Now i am suffering with the lync 2013 control panel problem, i cannot open it and got the error "This page can't be displayed" as below screenshot shows,
I've tried some ways, but still same problem
1. Reflush the dns, checked the A record and SRV record of the FE are normally.
2. checked the IIS and also cannot find any problem.
3, reboot the FE server/IIS, and AD.
4. i can open the console page normally via web :https://localhost/cscp
5. i can ping the FE server domain name and return the right IP info.

In addition, can you open the page via
https://admin.domain.com ?
Also please try to clear IE cache and treat the FQDNs for admin, pool or FE server name as trusted zone.

I used my key note to create a banner for the web. When I play it on my iphone or ipad the control panel shows and I have to operate it manually.Is tere anything to fix this problem?

I have used keynote to create a banner with transitions.
It plays OK on the web but doesn't play on the iphone or Ipad, unless i hit the control panel.
I configured it for loop and self playing and that works fine in Chrome and Safari with no control panel visible.
What can I do to resolve the problem and get it to work on iphone and ipad?

Problem increasing heap size using Java Control Panel

I am running a web-based bioinformatics package which uses a Java applet as the client application. It mostly works fine, but some large clustering processes don't complete, they just cycle endlessly. The user manual advises increasing heap space "by entering the following command in the Java Control Panel or Java Plug-in dialog: -Xms128M -Xmx256M." I can open the Java Control Panel OK and enter the necessary command in the Java Runtime Parameters box, but after clicking OK then Apply, the Runtime Parameters box is empty again and there is no increase in the heap size allocation. In other words, the change doesn't take effect.
I have already tried: adjusting one parameter at a time (max heap size first, then min); changing uppercase to lowercase M (-Xmx256m); restarting the browser after the change; rebooting my PC - none of these has helped.
Technical details: it's Java 6 standard edition, build 1.6.0_10-rc-b28; browser is Internet Explorer 7; operating system is Vista (Service Pack 1); PC is a 2.4 GHz processor with 2 GB RAM (so I have plenty available to allocate to Java). I have local admin privilege on my PC.
Help would be much appreciated, as I really need to complete these cluster analyses. I'm a biologist not a developer, so ideally I need a solution that doesn't involve major programming, though I'm OK with registry edits and use of the command line. Thanks in advance.

I am surprised that this issue was not discovered earlier. It was probably because the internal test binary use "1.6.0_10" as version string.

Ask and ye shall receive. This should be doable in Windows 7 and Windows 8 on another PC. I recommend using a USB Flash drive like in this tutorial, but I'm sure you could use something else.
If you want, you could also use Hiren's BootCD to make a bootable CD with many options and programs on it (I keep one, just for certain situations) that will allow you to do the same things.

Caching problem in Applets - Java Control Panel

I have a problem of applets being cached in Java Control Panel. Is there a way in Java to stop caching applets programatically in the Java Control Panel.
There is one way to stop caching files by unchecking "Keep Temporary Files on my Computer" under Java Control Panel --> General --> Settings page.
But I want to do this programatically using some Java programming/Java Scripting/some parameter in applet tag.
Some solutions like setting cache_option = No, cache_archive= jar file name in PARAM tag in applet and classloader_cache="false" have been already tried. But noting is seeming to be working out.
Can somebody please provide a solution.

Problem with control panel in vista on gx620

My friend and i who just recently both bought the MSi gx620 notebook have a very strange problem. After a short while some of the objects in the control panel have become not functional. Things that does not worl is:
Windows Update
Windows power control
the window where you change desktop resolution and background image
User control
and some others
the thing it does it that it seems to open an explorer window but then immidiately closes it again.
Some of the things in the control panel still works such as device manger and other things.
We suspect that it might have to do with some of the updates vista downloads and installs but we do not know which one, have anyone else had this problem or have any idea on how to solve it?

got exactly the same problem on my gx 720. I have tried to reinstalled c drive which helped until i tried either to update windows or install a new program.
Im considering sending the notebook to maintainance!

I would try completly removing all the itunes associated programs and reinstalling under a new user
