  • Control receipe and PI sheet

    Dear Experts
Can u guide me what is purpose of creating control receipe and PI sheet in system.
also plz tell me step by step config and creation of both with T code.

    Dear,
Master recipe will contain the Resources to be used and the duration of the process.
Process order will generate control recipe. Control contains process Instructions. While creating / Releasing the process order control recipe will be created.
PI Sheet: Process Instructions can be attached to the Master Recipe. Process Instructions assigned in master recipe will generate control recipe. PI Sheets in PP-PI offer a lot of functionality to streamline a manufacturing process
For details steps please refer this link,

  • Control Recipe and PI sheet

    Hi, All,
Can I know what's the difference between master recipe and PI sheet? And what's difference between master recipe and control recipe?
I know control recipe is generated from process order. What's the output of master receipe? But how to generate PI sheet? what's the PI sheet output?
    Thanks

    Hi,

  • Advantages of PI sheet and control recipe

can u pls let me know the advantages of using Process instruction sheet and control recipe,
and if it is not maintained , then what will be the reflection.

    Hi,
Control recipe is used to send a proper destination or to the operator who has to input the data and confirm this action performed.
control recipe will be sent back to the process order and instructions with data will be available. when creating a process order, control recipe will be created, which will contain the process instruction.
To specify the PI that are to be generated in the processorder when control recipe is created  for the control recipe destination.
There are 3 steps to be performed such as
    1) Define control recipe destinations
    2) Assign PI Categories
    3) Set process instructions to be gerated automatically
    Please let me know.

  • Control recipes for PI sheet and external system

    Dear All,
I need to create control recipe for PI sheet and for external system also. Can I use the characteristic based process instructions? Since I can assign only one control recipe destination for a phase, can i generate the data of a particular phase in both the control recipes.
    Thanks in advance

  • Process instruction sheet and control recipe

    dear,
can u let me know how the process instruction sheet is created or maintained and how the control recipe and destination works.
if I want to start with PI sheet and control recipe in my organisation , how do I go ahead with configuration as well as process.
    thnx-rgds

    Hi,
In control recipe destination the destination type must be browser based.Another is Abap based generally it is using.
So select that recipe destination, select phase & go in deatil u will find INSTR.READ1, READ2,SIGN which can used as a instruction.
There are two types 1:process sheet 2: remote fuction call (RFC)
Process sheet is used for giving instructions to line operator & also entering data during reaction etc per period.
For INSTR- select it give instruction for that particular phase.
READ1 - In which we are one column is available where we can enter 1 value by line opearator
READ2- Here 4 columns are available u can use it as date, time, temp, total etc. as per your requirement.
SIGN- Here u can use it as a to identify who entered the value.Systen will ask for pass word after entering ID
After creation & releasing  process order  create contriol recipe.
Thern go for T code- CO 53 - send control recipe(control recipe monitor)
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/f3/6ee4117aed11d2a5fe0060087d1a6b/content.htm
CO60 - Operator will enter the values
    CO54 - send process messages

    CO55- Check the report.
Check the above & reward if useful.

  • Assigning XSteps to control recipe destination

    Hello Experts,
I have a question related to XSteps. I have used XSteps in ECC5.0. One of the deficiency we faced compared to process instructions is, process instruction categories can be assigned to control recipe destinations and can be generated without directly assigning to phases of recipe. This immensely reduces the maintenance effort. This is not possible in XSteps.
Even if the XStep references should be defined to destination while its definition, it should be assigned to each phase of the recipe. Any change is there in this design in ECC6.0?
Also what is the use of context in XStep reference definition?. When I try to create new context, its asking me to select a node and not letting me create.
The last question is, is there any mass assignment tool developed by SAP to assign XStep references to recipes?
    Thanks
    Prathib

Even if the XStep references should be defined to destination while its definition, it should be assigned to each phase of the recipe. Any change is there in this design in ECC6.0?
    Ans: -
Nope. it is your chioce if you wiosh to assign it to individual phase of or single reference to all phase. It purely defpends on how efficient your design it.
We has 28 Phase (Ave) in each reciepe and we still have managed to keep Xsteps reference to minimum. Thanks to efficient XSTEPS master data designing.
Also what is the use of context in XStep reference definition?. When I try to create new context, its asking me to select a node and not letting me create.
    Ans: -
Reference can be used in Reciepe and it helps in easing your reciepe creation. Context can used in reciepe or process order. Context is used to assign individual operation or phase. This is used is general all phase in generation tab could not be used.
The last question is, is there any mass assignment tool developed by SAP to assign XStep references to recipes?
    Ans: -
There is one. I will find out and let you know. U can try yourself as well.

You can do this in XSTEPS as well. But of what use will it be if simulation does not show data and the way you wish to see the data.
Simulation can be done for each XSTPS tree you define in XSTEPS master data.

  • Control recipe cretaion if the process inst categories assigned in Order

Hi, As i understand you can assign the process instruction category either in o10c or in process order- opertion - phase, it self. my doubt is if it is assigned in phase of the order, there is no fileds like general scope, filter etc which is there in o10c. in case if we assign the proc inst cat in order, how system creats the control recipe without those fields? please advise.

Hi All, i think my question is not clear. my question is in o10c we have fields like general scope. if you enter here cons_1 (consumpltion), against this we need to enter general scope as "for all reservations", then only in pi sheet it will display cells to enter the values for all components. if we enter cons_1 in recipe, i could not find this general scope field where i need to specify that this process inst category is for all items in reservation. i hope this explanation will clear my doubt.
    Thanks.

  • How to avoide the control recipe creation step and control recipe complete

    Hi

    HGVD

    Dear HGVD,
Assuming there is only one order type(process order type) is used in both the manufacturing plants, then create plant specific
production scheduling profile in CORY,for the plant 2000,assign the prod.schd.profile with the default order type and
do not include the check box for generate control recipe and save the data, but in the same CORY,assign the same order
type, with including the check box for generate control recipe.
Check by this way and revert back.

  • Control recipe and process messages

    Hi experts,
When I create a control recipe and send to an external destination, is it going as an outbound IDoc from SAP to external system?.
I have the same doubt about the process messages also. ie whether the process messages are coming from external system to SAP as inbound IDocs?
    Thanks in advance
    pradeep

    Hi Prathib,
To realize data transfer between PP-PI and the control system, the SAP system provides the following alternative technologies:
    ·        Function modules
    ·        BAPIs (Business Application Programming Interfaces) that are defined as methods applied to SAP business objects and enable the standardized, object-oriented access to business functions in the SAP system. They are implemented as function modules, too.

  • Control recipe

    dear experts,
can anyone tell me about control recipe in process industry?
WHAT'S THE FUNCTION OF CONTROL RECIPE IN pp-pi

    Hi Ganesh,
Control Recipe is an element that, assigned to a Master Recipe, will take part of a PI Sheet. It is used in Production Planning for Process Industries models.
You create a control recipe by configuring process messages using general characteristics, under a cover of a process specification. The collection of process specification assigned to a destination generates a Controle Recipe, and could be sent to generate PI Sheet after a Process Order is released.
In addition to the above reply, i would also like to discuss one issue related to Process industries-
while doing TECO(technically complete), the system is showing an error message "System status CRCR is active (ORD 1000001)" and i am not able to do it successfully.
    Please come with valuable suggestions/advices.
    Immediate replies will be appreciated.

  • Process Message and PI sheet

    Dear All,
I have created one finished product and one raw material. In Master Recipe i created one Phase and assign two instruction category CONS_1 and PROD_1.
Now i generated PI sheet in COR2 and see CO53 that it is present and now i send it and in CO60 it is there.
Now when i see and enter quantity in PIsheet and double click on it to see the Process Message
    1) PI_PROD has material number of finished product - It is ok
    2) PI_CONS has also material number of finished product but it should have raw material number.
    So, my issues are
    1) How raw material will be there in PI_CONS Process Message.
    2) Should i create two phase and assign it one by one or what else.
    3) If i have Process Order of 500 quantity and through PI Sheet i do GR of 10 and GI of 10 then for next time how should i do GI and GR again. Should i send PI Sheet again from CO53 to CO60.
    4) Is there only one control Recipe is generated for one process order.

    Hi,
process instruction CONS_1 will not show raw material number it will show reservation number of the process order...instead of using CONS_1 use CONS_D and use this control recipe destination and make the settings as shown below...
your final PI sheet output will be like this....
    Hope this helps...
    Thanks
    Kumar

  • Regarding control recipe destination

    Dear all,
What is control recipe destination is it the end user or otherwise similarly for a person in shopfloor how does he view Pi sheet and how he will enter details of various parameters in it and how he will close the PI sheet.
What will happen in CO53 and what do we do in CO54 , please give in detail
    regards
    venkat

    Hi Venkat,
Control recipe destination is  the process control system or the line operator to whom the process instructions are transferred to be carried out. When processing the order, you can generate one control recipe with the process instructions for all phases, for each control recipe of a process order.
You then assign the control recipe destination to the phases of the master recipe, by maintaining the process control data in the process instruction overview. This section describes the assignment of a control recipe destination to a phase.
Please find detailed documentation on the SAP Help URL as below:

  • Control Recipe Status

    Hi Everyone...
    Need your help urgently.
When creating a process order; after i have only released the order and not saved it; a control recipe is created. Can anyone tell me what is the status of the control recipe at this juncture and how exactly is this getting this status.. technically any idea where this status is being assigned in the code? I checked with transaction CO53 for seeing this control recipe but it isn't here.. only once the process order is saved is it coming up here with Status displayed on the report as Created. So only after this does the status become created or when i release itself this control recipe gets created but since the process order is not saved it doesn't appear in CO53. Please help. Awaiting your replies on this.
    Thank you,Regards

You can set this in customization for process order type that during release the control recipe is to be created or during the creation of the process order.
Once the Control recipe is created until unless it is released it will not be visible in CO53, You have to go to the change mode of the process order and go to the list of control recipes and release it.
When a Control recipe is created it gets the status of CRTD as of a process order and when it is released it will be with status released, when Completed it will be with Completed, during processing with status of In process.
When you release the Control recipe it will be available in CO53 then you can process the PI sheet.
    Hope this may help you.
