Control/Restriction of ECC SoS as per Source List in MM ?

Hi Experts,
We are configuring SRM7.0 with ECC6 ( Ehp4) having Classic Scenario .
We are going to use ECC Contract & info Record as a SoS in Shopping Cart in SRM.
Can we control / restrict the proposing of these SoS as set in Source List in ECC just like in MM Module?Thanks

Match different AAA Groups per source IP

Dear Colleagues,
The issue that Im facing right now is the following:
I have an external device that run auto-commissioning on my router and doesn't support "username" loggin, only "password" when attempt to loggin through telnet in order to access and run the script. In addition I have AAA TACACs running on the same router so this device is unable mow to access to the router as the first loggin request is the "username". I can not change the telnet command executed by the external device, its doing a single telnet to the destination IP of my router so I discard any option like adding a TCP port dedicated for this external device access.  To be clear, what is expecting to receive after execute the telnet is:

To fix this issue my idea is try to configure two different AAA groups, one AAA_GROUP that request normal authentication to TACACs for all telnet session and one EXCEPTION with authentication "none" and exec "local". The configuration should be something like this:

Then match in some way all telnet session with source IP of the external device with the group EXCEPTION and the rest with AAA_GROUP. Finally, configure only a "password" in the VTY lines so when the device attempt to loggin in the group EXCEPTION with no authentication and loggin local will be just requested to set the "password".
The main issue is do this AAA groups discrimination between AAA_GROUP and EXCEPTION lists per source IP of the host originating the telnet session to my router.  Is that possible?

problem is in you config, both class are pointing to same VIP and PORT, so first class will be only HIT.

Is B/E ECC SoS in Local SRM PO in Classic Scenario Possible ( SRM7.0) ?

We are configuring SRM7.0 with ECC6 ( Ehp4) having Classic Scenario .
Our Ultimate Aim is - To maintain SoS in ONE system only (i.e. ECC) & use the same SoS in both ECC & SRM system, for all documents ( ECC PR, ECC PO, RM S/C, Local SRM POu2026etc )
In Classic Scenario, B/E ECC SoS ( Supplier Contract & Pur. Info Record) are proposing in S/C ( Indirect Mat.) , but these B/E SoS NOT proposing while creating u201CLocal SRM POu201D which is by default Ext. Classic.
We are exploring new CCTR functionality ....but seems complicated and requiered PI...
1.By doing any enhancement , can we pull B/E ECC Contract and Pur. Info Record as a SoS while creating u201CLocal SRM POu201D ?, If it is possible , then we are ready to do any enhnacement and I'll be most happy
2. Which BADi is used while creating Local SRM PO ?
Can anyone suggest/confirm please.

Hello,
In classic scenario, only backend contracts can be used as SOS.
In extended classic, local contracts can be adopted as SOS.
If you are using classic scenario, you should distribute local contracts to ECC. Then, while creating a shopping cart in classic scenario, ECC contracts (which have been distributed) will be considered as SOS.

In order to figure out the source of the problematic IP, we need to collect the following logs:
Detail messages of the Error 1021 including the blocked IP address.
Protocol log. We can search the specific IP address in the log to find more information about the sender. Here is the reference of

I understand that I can up the limit - however, I'm wondering if there is a way to up the limit for ONE specific IP (our load balancer)

It does not look like you can up the limit for a specific IP but you might be able to create a separate receive connector for that IP address (and then change the limit).
That is just a thought. Others may have more input on why you may or may not want to do that in practice.
What SMTP traffic would not be coming from the load balancer?
Is the objective to *not* allow some other (possibly malicious) source from creating excessive connections to the server?

access to portal content is managed with help of portal roles. Basically, you assign portal content (worksets, portal pages, iViews) to a portal role (see SAP Library <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/4f/bceaffeb8c114ebef8255b63079c7c/frameset.htm">Roles and Worksets</a>). To make the content available to a certain set of users you have to assign the portal role to the users (see SAP Library <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/ed/845890b89711d5993900508b6b8b11/frameset.htm">Assigning Roles to Users and Groups.</a>).
If you would like to restrict access to a certain ESS portal page remove this page from the standard ESS role and create a new role. Assign the ESS portal page to this new role and assign the role to all users you would like to give access to the page.
Make sure you set the right Merge-Ids and Sort-Ids in order to display the ESS portal page at the right point in your portal navigation structure (see SAP Library <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/53/89503ede925441e10000000a114084/frameset.htm">Merging Navigation Nodes and Defining the Sequence</a>)

Source List - MRP Run

Hi all ,
In our production server Source List is maintained for a material .
The first line contains a vendor ( say Vendor1 ) with MRP relevant indicator 1
2nd line contains another vendor (say vendor 2 ) with fixed indicator checked and MRP relevant indicator as 1 .
1)For both vendor the date range is same
2)No quota arrangement exists .
But while MRP run for that material Vendor1 is automatically assigned instead of vendor 2 . (althoug vendor 2 is Fixed )
What may be the reasons ?Please suggest .

System doe not take care of "fixed" indicator in source list during MRP run as per OSS note 668764:
1. Question:
The fixed indicator is set for a source list record. Is this source list record preferred for a planning run?
Answer:
Only the source list records, for which the indicator 'Source list usage in materials planning and control' is set, are taken into account during a planning run; the fixed indicator is of no importance here. See Note 206684 for more information.
Please also check the mentioned OSS note (206684)

My iPod Touch is not showing up on the source list. I have tried to restore the ipod, i have uninstalled, reinstalled, and used the repair option in the control panel to no avail. I am currently useing the latest version of Windows 8 on an Asus VivoBook. What can i do to fix the problem?

ME05 How to schedule source list job with steps?

Can someone please give me instructions on how to create source list ME05 in background using "Steps"? I know how to create a background job in ME05 but need to have several jobs run back to back in the middle of the night. I am reluctant to shedule them at different times and would prefer to use the "Steps" function. Thanks for your input!

Steps:
First create variant for the report in normal execution mode (to provide input selection parameters in backgrpund)
1. Transaion code SM36
Give Job name you want created (Give some meaningful name) and Press enter
2. Give the ABAP program name
3. Select variant and save the selections
4. Come back to initial screen , select the Start condition button and provide the interval as per requirement to schedule the job and save.
5. Save the job.
Check the Job in SM37 and relase the Job.

How can I remove Facebook from the iPhoto source list?

Lately when I use iPhoto it will not let me quit and I have to force quit. I recently moved to college where there are several separate internet routers. I realized I still had iPhoto sharing turned on from using it at home and thought that might be messing it up, but even after I turn off sharing it will not let me quit. I think it is a problem with Facebook because it asks, "still syncing would you like to stop and quit?" whenever I try to quit the program. I would like to just remove Facebook from my source list, but I can't figure out how. It used to ask me to sign in to Facebook if I wanted to upload pictures but now it doesn't so I have no idea how to make it quit syncing.

I found the solution in the community
Solution 1
Mac OS: Run the uninstaller in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder to remove the program listed as up-to-date.
Windows: Use the Programs And Features Control Panel to remove the program listed as up-to-date.

Problem creating source list

Hi
We are on ECC 5.0 and in one of our ABAP programs create a PIR as a first step using ME11 BDC call and then go ahead to create a sourcelist for the material + plant and the vendor ( for which PIR was created in the first step ) .
To create source list we use the following function modules ( fms ) in sequence
ME_INITIALIZE_SOURCE_LIST
ME_DIRECT_INPUT_SOURCE_LIST
ME_POST_SOURCE_LIST_NEW
What we observe is that - the ME_DIRECT_INPUT_SOURCE_LIST fm always raises an abort message - ' No PIR exists for the material and vendor ' even though PIR is created in the first step and we check for its existence before we call the fms for the source list. However if we introduce a wait for upto 15 seconds after the PIR has been created the sourcelist creation goes through.
Any idea why the above is happening. Similar situations faced with source list creation - shared is appreciated. Correct answers helping me solve this problem will be promptly rewarded

System takes some time to COMMIT all the work thats why it's happening.
Keep the WAIT FOR UP TO <reasonale seconds value> SECONDS in your code.

-> Calling FM? If so how should I use the Result Data Object and Dispatcher field in BRFplus?

Hi,
Yes could call FM using BRF+ Procedure Call-Function Module. And map the exporting parameter (results of FM) to BRF+ ruleset parameter and do the further processing.
When you assign FM name then in below container UI you can add all required parameters using "Add Parameter" button.
