Control where iCloud's iDrive folder is created on Windows 8

I recently bought an iPad Air 2 32 GB for mobile activities. Since large document exchanges with my Windows 8.1 Pro desktop - a job requirement -will be frequent, I installed iCloud and activated Drive on iPad and on Windows desktop. My problem is: During the installation there were no options as to where the iDrive folder can be located. The Windows system "C" drive was the default. Since the "C" drive is an SSD, it isn't used for data storage. Is there a way to select a spinning hard drive (2 TB) as the location for Drive folder during the iCloud installation or to move it there after? Thanks for your assistance.

ICloud photostream in folder on Mac ?

Hi,
I would like to have photo stream on my mac to import pictures in a specific folder instead of iPhoto.
Is there a way to do it ?
Reason is that iPhoto is not my library but Lightroom.

It's possible to enable the Photo Stream to Lightroom workflow just using the built in Automator application in OSX...
Since it uses native folder actions, there's no polling or plugins neccesary.

Step 1: Create an Automator folder action to copy all files added to your hidden Photo Stream folder to a folder elsewhere on your computer.
Start in Automator by creating a 'Folder Action' workflow. Click 'Choose folder', then press SHIFT-COMMAND-PERIOD while the Automator folder picker is open so that you can browse hidden folders. Choose the iCloud Photo Stream folder here: {USERNAME}/Library/Application Support/iLifeAssetManagement/assets/sub
Add a 'Get Folder Contents' action to your workflow, being sure to check the 'Repeat for each subfolder found' option.
Add a 'Copy Finder Items' action to your workflow, selecting a folder where you'd like Lightroom to import from. Something like "/Pictures/Lightroom Import" might be a good idea.
Save your workflow. You've just activated an Automator action that copies new Photo Stream images to a folder of your choosing.
Step 2: Tell Lightroom to automatically import images from this folder. In the Lightroom menu go to: File -> Auto Import -> Auto Import Settings... This will move the files out of the folder you just created and into Lightroom, leaving the hidden photostream directory un-modified so that we don't confuse iCloud or prevent you from viewing your Photo Stream on other iOS devices.
Step 3: There is no step 3. Just go out and take some awesome photos. Next time you launch Lightroom, they'll be there, and your images will continue to be imported on the fly when Lightroom is open.

HT204093 Where is my mail folder on my mac

Okay I hope to make sense here....
I had all my mail in the icloud. I then created a folder on my mac for mail older than 6 months. Then mail that was older than 6 months in cloud I moved to my mac.
In mail I had renamed the older than 6 month folder. I still see my old mail in mail. I can't find the corresponding folder on mac, or when I do it really is odd size. Mail in folder on mac is housing 10 years worth of email and coming in at 300MB when I think it would be way bigger, like 1 TB.
I created a new folder in mail, but I can't find the coorseponding folder in documents---> mail folder.
Where is the mail folder on the mac? Where does it naturally default too?

Thank you of the quick reply and I kind of now have more info.
Since posting my question I "exported" the mailbox and voila, 2.6GB of info. So I think I have some solution.
"Are you desiring to Archive mail older than six months and remove that from Mail?" Not from Mail, but the iCloud, but when I did remove from icloud, I want to make another back up, even though I have time machine. I want to basically burn a DVD or put old email on other storage media.

I have no other copy, these emails were removed from the iCloud, and put in a mail folder on my mac (which I can't find the mailbox (mbox) on the mac, user name--->documents---> mail folder---> there is no corresponding mbox that I just created, this folder/get info says circa 2012), so the mail on my mac is not copied from iCloud. Technically I do have the time machine backup.... but you never know if that gets corrupted.
So my thought prior to rebuild is to export, as a back up, then rebuild? As to mailbox naming, since I have no idea where the corresponding folders are on my mac, exporting first, might be best option. If I rebuild, will that break or possibly lose data?

The suggestion above is for MailBoxes on the Mac in the mail app and have nothing at all to do with the iPad. I think that you are asking about the iPad mail app.
You need to have an IMAP email account in order to create additional mailboxes on the iPad.
If you go to your email account in the Mail app and look at the window where your inbox, trash folder and sent folder are - if there is an Edit button at the top of the window - tap that and then tap Add Mailbox at the bottom.
If the Edit button is not there - you cannot create folders on the iPad. Your email account is not IMAP. Only IMAP email accounts can create folders on the iPad. Any folders that you would already have in an IMAP account would sync to the device as well.

Go to the open dialog in Pages and select iCloud.
Click on the folder that you created on iCloud to open the folder.
On the lower half of the window (the open folder) click on the name of the folder.
Once you click and select the folder's name it should be editable.

drop하고 create 시에 이와 같은 ORA-20001 이라고 하는 SYSMAN user가 이미 존재한다고

emca -deconfig dbcontrol db -repos drop 수행 중에 다음과 같이 failed가 발생하고,

오류가 발생하거나 hang 이 발생하는 경우에 나중에 다시 create 시에 나타나는 에러입니다.
11g emca 수행 시 에러 log는 $ORACLE_BASE\\cfgtoollogs\emca\orcl\ 아래에 생성된 log를 확인합니다.
Solution Description
다음과 같은 명령으로 EM Configuration file들과 repository를 정리할 수 있습니다.

A. Delete DB Control Objects 의 상세 설명은 Manual하게 DB Control을 DELETE하는 절차입니다.
이 부분을 보시면 아주 자세히 설명되어 있습니다.
The procedure is the same for 10g R1, R2 and 11g 11.1.0.6.0.
절차1) Configuration file 정리 작업
A) To delete the configurartion files:
- remove the following directories from your filesystem:
<ORACLE_HOME>/<hostname_sid>
예를 들어 D:\app\jeher\product\11.1.0\db_1\JEHER_ORCL 이라는 디렉토리를 제거합니다.

under certain circumstances (e.g. you want to recreate the repository later on)

내에서 old dbconsole 정보를 제거합니다.

위와 같이 Enterprise Manager 콘솔 HTTP 포트와 Enterprise Manager 에이전트 포트(orcl)
가 보이는데, 이 line들을 지웁니다.
아래의 절차4) 부터 절차8) 까지는 다시 create해주는 과정과 환경 셋업 작업입니다.
절차4) C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file에서 다음을 추가해 줍니다.
127.0.0.1 localhost
10.10.10.10 jeher
10.10.10.10 은 내 네트워크 환경 -> 로컬연결영역3(Microsoft Loopback Adapter)
-> 속성(인터넷 프로토콜 TCP/IP)
-> 속성(다음 ip 주소 사용의 IP 주소가 10.10.10.10)
위와 같이 확인하여 얻어질 수 있습니다.
절차5) 다시 emca -config dbcontrol db -repos create 를 수행합니다.
절차6) 레지스트리에 문자열값 oracle_hostname 이 jeher로 되어 있는 지 확인.
절차5 가 성공적으로 수행이 되면 관리도구 -> 서비스에 OracleDBConsoleORCL 이라는
서비스가 다시 생성됩니다.
- run regedit
- navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Oracle/Sysman/OracleDBConsoleORCL
- 문자열값 oracle_hostname : jeher 로 되어 있는지 확인합니다.
절차7) emd.properties 에서 timezone 수정
D:\app\jeher\product\11.1.0\db_1\jeher_orcl\sysman\config 아래에 있는
emd.properties file에서 agent timezone를 Asia/Seoul 로 대소문자를 구분하여 입력합니다.
For example)

agentTZRegion=Asia/Seoul
이와 같이 저장하고 나옵니다.
절차8) EM 11g LOGIN 접속 방법.
https://jeher.kr.oracle.com:1158/em 로 접속하면 됩니다.
username : sys
password : oracle
connect as SYSDBA
OC4J 에 설치 시 보안 설정이 되어 있으므로, http 가 아닌 https 로 접속해야 합니다.
11g의 경우, password file이 자동으로 $ORACLE_HOME/dbs (windows 의 경우, $ORACLE_HOME/database) 아래에
생성되므로, 따로 생성이 불필요합니다.
remote_login_passwordfile='EXCLUSIVE'로 자동 setting 되어 있습니다.

FCP X version 10.1.1. When Sharing to DVD I get the following alert " There was an error burning your discd. Not enough Disk Space in Target Folder" I have 700GB   free. Where is this target folder located? how can I fix this problem? not space prob

Since starting with FCP X, there has been tons of issues, now that the product actually works with the exception above, makes it impossible to share the production. Has Apple fixed this problem. is there a knowledge base article on this?
On another note, One reason I have not purchased support on FCP X is because you sold a product that never worked for almost an entire year or more.   Now I can finally finish my project, I cannot share it.....Really. This has to be fixed now, I am loosing money as I typed this.

Just curious, why would repairing permissions, rebooting ( rebooted 2 times already today) or creating a new user possibly fix this.
I cannot create a new user, that is way too much work. I will repair permissions again, I repaired permissions just a few days ago. Then I will reboot, login and turn off App Nap and rerun the Share DVD.
There must be something seriously wrong with the OS if your are suggesting creating another user.   WOW!

i have just bought the msi megastick 128 (version 2.04) and i use windows xp.
after installing the cd ,the windows found the msi and the i tried to format the msi.i searched for the msi folder (format) but i couldn`t find it.,so i format the msi with the windows xp using fat and not fat32(i rode the forum before i decided to buy it )
everything went well and i have now more than 30 songs of mp3 in my msi
i have three questions for all of you:
1-where is the format folder of the msi (i saw it on the anandtech review)?
2-how can i repeat between a to b(saw it on anandtech too)
3- is it possible to create a playlist and hear only the desired playlist??

When playing a song, push Fn (near the microphone) to set point A, push Fn again to set B (repeating will start) and push Fn again to stop the A-B function.

If you are looking for a way to edit the items that appear in the Services menu... there is not a specific directory that controls the list.
However there is a lovely (donationware) Application called Service Scrubber that enables editing of the menu. You can download it at: http://www.manytricks.com/servicescrubber/

Create a Smart Folder to bring this feature back. From the Finder, select File, then Find. You can create the smart folder here. Change the drop down that says "kind" and select "Last modified date". The next drop down you can select is "Today" or "Yesterday". Hit the save button. There is a checkbox in the save window to save it to the sidebar. Make sure it is selected and name the file "Today" or "Yesterday".
