Controller Issue CS4

I’m using CS4 and encountered an issue that I can’t resolve when using the controller. When an audio file (MP3) is on the timeline, I hit play on the controller to listen to audio but when I hit stop, the play head stops while the audio continues to play. I also noticed that when scrubbing the timeline you can’t hear the audio.
Has anyone encountered this? This issue doesn’t happen in CS3 and since a lot of my work deals with syncing graphics to narration I have to go back to CS3, which I don’t want to do.

MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR Questions & RAID Promise FastTrak Controller Issue

I have recently rebuilt my system replacing the MSI KT3 with an MSI K7N2 Delta. I have been impressed with the features and stability of the system, however, I have some questions that I hope some of you that have more experience of this board can answer:
1. I am using the AMD Athlon XP 2200 (and all the other components including the Lian Li case) which I was using on the KT3 board. The CPU temperature is around 45 degrees C but on the KT3 it was only 35 degrees C when idle. Any ideas ? The heatsink is definetly mounted properly. The temperature did drop by 10 degrees C when I flashed the
BIOS to fix the known CPU temperature issue but I think its still high.
2. I do not have any serial ATA devices or anything connected to IDE3 channel and during the BIOS boot up I get the message:
"No drives attached to FastTrak Controller. Bios Not installed."
Is this correct ? Should I be getting this message ?
I would like to disable the onboard Promise Controller since it is taking up resources and it slows down the boot speed (although only slightly). The MSI website says that the onboard RAID controller can't be disabled. I think this is poor design. Does anyone know if this is going to be addressed in future BIOS releases ?
3. Which of the USB ports are USB 2.0 and USB 1.1. I thought it was rather strange that only 2 of the 4 ports on the header actually active.

First off your temp is ok on that board. If you have not loaded the onboard raid driver do so and it is something you have to suffer with on the MSI board. All of your USB ports should run at USB 2.0 and you also should be able enable all of them in the bios.

Flvplayback issue CS4

Hi, I'm having an issue with the flvplayback controls.
The problem I'm having is when your watching a flv movie and you hit tab on your keyboard each item (play, sound, time slider,etc.) will get highlighted however any of the scrollbar type functions such as sound and step looses the highlight and to my understanding also causes an issue for someone using a screen reader.
Is this something that can be controlled or is it a bug within CS4?
I cannot find anyway of manipulating the highlight.

Interface Controller Issue

Hi,
Hope you can help me on this one. We're trying to use an interface controller to use an external Web Dynpro app in our current Web Dynpro project. Whenever we try to do some context mapping in our Wed Dynpro project, it seems that our Web Dynpro project (during build time) fails to identify context of our component controller (it gives an <insert context node name / context objects here> cannot be resolved errors).
Did anyone experience this error or would anyone know how to resolve this?

Suppose there are two DC1 and DC2.
DC1 having context node XYZ/attrubute available in DC1 component Controller and interface controller and mapped it properly.
- then build and deploy DC1.
- Now sync sources and sync used DC for DC2
- then click on component name of the DC2 and bind interface controller to component controller and drag n drop context node XYZ to component controller.
- once done then try to re-build and use the contect node XYZ

Wireless Lan Controller Issue

Hi All,
We have a Wireless Lan Controller 4402 with software version 4.0.155.5. On Friday we experience a problem where our clients wouldn't get redirected to the internal webpage for authentication. It would just come up with page not found. We know the page was working fine becasue we could manually type in the
https://1.1.1.1/login.html and the
page would come up and you could login successfully. The users who were already connected to the controller were not affected and continued to operate. We have 2 other WLC's at the same software revision and they were not affected so I don't think it has anything to to with software level. Its like the webserver in the wlc failed to work. We failed over the AP's to the 3rd WLC and rebooted WLC1. After the WLC1 restarted we failed one of the previous non-working AP's back to it and it works again.
I know "now" there is debug commands to run at the time when the WLC wasn't working, but unfortunately I didn't know at the time. The WLC is running again fine and I was wondering if anybody has seen this issue before.
Any ideas on a fix or reason would be greatly appreciated.

We are running WiSM 4.1.185.0 and we just had the similar problem with one controller. The other three controllers were fine when it happened. The exactly issue was the nslookup failed(timed out) from the client, so the web login page won't show when people lunch the browser. A reboot of the controller fixed the problem. We have been running Cisco LWAPP for more than a year (from 4.0.155.5 to 4.1.185.0) and it is the first time we see this problem. TAC is still investigating the cause.

Audio Controller Issue

I've got an sound issue with my HP Pavillion DV6904ca, it shows that there is no audio output device, orginally when i installed windows vista it had the same issue then it found it one time and then restarted comupter later and then when started up it didnt exist again. i believe the issue is the audio controller but dont know how to rectify the situation

If the yellow exclamation mark occurs in the Device Manager so you need to install the driver. On the Toshiba driver page you can find may necessary drivers.

Controller Issue? or Journaling issue?

I've been having this weird problem with an Xserve RAID and a couple of servers. I've been narrowing down the problem but i want to get some outside input on the matter.
I have 3 Xserves, 2 connected to the Xserve RAID (DAS). The problem seems to happen at random, but always starts with the same xserve. The problem seems to be a hardware issue, form what i can see in the logs, the tricky part is identifying the piece of hardware responsible. Here are all the clues i've been gathering:
Problem starts with
kernel[0]: jnl: disk0s3: flushing fs disk buffer returned 0x5
Sometimes followed by
kernel[0]: ASP_TCP CancelOneRequest: cancelling slot 0 error 89 reqID 1 flags 0x9 afpCmd 15 so 0x1006ecc0
And then the horrible
kernel[0]: disk0s3: I/O error.
kernel[0]: jnl: disk0s3: dojnlio: strategy err 0x5
kernel[0]: jnl: disk0s3: writejournalheader: error writing the journal header!
kernel[0]: disk0s3: I/O error.
The inevitable screams from the services that depend on that volume follow
imap[3899]: IOERROR: opening /Volumes/Userdata/spool/imap/user/jcarrillo/cyrus.header: Input/output error
This causes AFP to stop and also imapd, both of which have their working directories within that volume. These are disks 8-13 in one hfs+ journaled volume in the raid.
At first we thought the HBA's were the ones misbehaving, but after swapping slots and swapping servers, the same server is the one failing us.
This error doesn't make the server unresponsive, only processes or actions that involve reading the volume, hang, that includes a simple ls in /Volumes or diskutil.
We've already fsck both disks with no red flags. Here's the diskutil list

I will be performing the Apple Xserve Diagnostics later tomorrow to discard server side hardware, but i am inclining towards a raid controller malfunction. Anyone seen something similar?
AFAIK there is no xserve raid diagnostics from apple, is there a third party tool? Or is it just a replace component thing and hope for the best?
Anything to help me be sure to blame the controller will be greatly appreciated.

You're only reporting logs from the host system. What about the logs on the RAID itself?
This sounds to me like a problematic array - possibly caused by a faulty disk. RAID Admin should give you some insight as to whether that's the case or not.

C# Parsing JSON data within Mobile project OR via Controller Issue

When I invoke the following to a custom controller to return data to my client (Windows Phone 8.1 app):

I received the following Exception:-
FileNotFoundException was caught
Could not load file or assembly 'System.Runtime.Serialization,

However, I successfully parse the JSON data via the controller [I did have an image here displaying the data, but not enough rep to post!] and I also have no references to the above dll in my Windows Phone application.
Any ideas?
Note: Occurs using either local parsing within the mobile app or via controllers in a service app; also running VS Ultimate 2013 with Update 4

The data is deserializing using System.Runtime.Serialization 4.0.0.0 on the client side (which is targeting .NET 4.5). I am using a third party DLL found here (api.tfl.gov.uk) which contains all of the data transfer objects required to map the data from
the JSON into an object structure.
I have tested this DLL also within a console application and runs as expected, deserializing and mapping data etc; could the issue be that the DLL I'm using containing DataContract and DataMember annotations cannot be used as a reference within the Windows
Phone 8.1 app?
I say this because I have a solution whereby I 'copy' the DTO modes in the DLL into plain models using the same code (minus Serialization annotations) and the JSON then is able to deserialize and map to those in the phone.
So the solution are present is to create my own models, however if you've any other ideas/workarounds that would be great to know in the future where I can just reference the third party DLL.

Multimedia Audio Controller issues "The data is Invalid"

can someone please explain to me what that meens and how to resolve the issue?
Uninstalling and reinstalling has done nothing, roll back drivers has done nothing and also defeats the purpose of updating drivers. This issue began when i was prompted to update drivers, so i did and BANG no more sound.
All files on the DVD install ACCEPT the WDM drivers which im guessing are pretty important. Everytime they try and install i get a Data invalid message and the typical yellow exclamation mark in the device manager over 2 options. High definition audio and Multimedia Audio Controller.
This has hppened to me anytime ive ever tried to update drivers, only way i fixed it was to reinstall OS, really not keen to do that anymore, just to install a sound driver.
Also, they really should not be telling us to update sound drivers, because they never ever update properly,without hassle.

You might want to attempt the following registry fix. It is strongly recommended to back up the current registry settings and create a restore point before proceeding.
1. Select Start - Run and type regedit to open the Registry Editor.
2. Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\ENUM\P CI and you see a number of keys in the form VEN_xxxx, where xxxx are strings such as VEN_1102&DEV_0004&SUBSYS_00511102&REV_03.
3. Under each of these folders you will find another folder with a long numerical name. Open each folder and look for the DeviceDesc which matches the hardware you want to install.
4. Right Click on the VEN_xxxx for that device and select Permissions and then tick Allow for Full Control.
5. Close Regedit and then continue with the installation of your device.
You might also want to download the file PNPREG.EXE from www.microsoft.com, and run the pnpreg tool from a command prompt. After downloading the file, select Start - Run and type COMMAND. At the Command prompt, type Pnpreg -l.

SSD in old MacBook Pro (MacBookPro5,3) - worry about NVIDIA controller issue?

I have the old MacbookPro5,3 - (Core2Duo 2,66 GHz with 8GB RAM), so a SSD would really make it go for another year og two. I do realize that I will not benefit of the full speed of the SSD because the machines max speed is SATA2/3GB/s: That's no problem - but I really can't be bothered with any problems like not be able to use it properly or the "slow" 1,5 GB/s-problem that some people have reported..
As fas as I can read this problem orginated from the NVIDIA controller (AHCI).
So my questions are:
- Have this problem been fixed, e.g. by driver upgrades from Apple or something else?
- Do all never SSDs have this problem fixed, or is it still an issue?
- Should I look at some specific drives or brands to avoid this spefic problem with compability with the NVIDIA controller..?
I'm looking at Samsung 840 256GB or Intel 530 180GB.. If the problem is specific to some drives and you would mind giving me some advice in that case..?

I have the same machine and installed a TOSHIBA THNSNC512GBSJ (from system report) and was amazed at the improvement in speed. Added a good two years of life to my MBP. Apparently this wasn't the fastest drive, but I valued the improvement in booting times and application start up. I got it from OWC on sale at the time so it was an excellent price too.

Any printing issues CS4/PIXMA Pro9000/MAC OS 10.5?

I just installed CS-4 on my new MAC and encountered the dark print problems (on my HP printer) that I have read about here. I was planning on getting a Canon PIXMA Pro9000. Anyone have any experience with CS4 / MAC and this printer?

You can download the driver, install it and add printer to check the features. Make sure you can turn off CM etc.
The latest driver has a 12/18/2008 date so I would guess it works correctly.

Controller issues

My Controller is not working properly please help. When I connect the PS4 with controller with the cord, it will only stay connected for 10 seconds before disconnecting and showing the orange charge light. After I remove the controller none of the buttons work and the light doesnt even flash when pressing the PS button on the controller. I have already tried resetting the controller with a paperclip on the reset button on the back of the controller this has not solved any of the issues.

MSI 890 GXM-G65 LAN Controller Issue

I have had this motherboard for the past few years, loved it, and then the LAN controller suddenly decided to "stop working." What I mean by that is that when I boot up, Windows loads, and then I have no network connection. I have updated the Realtek drivers, flashed the latest BIOS, disabled/reenabled drivers, renewed IP address, statically assigned an IP address, flushed DNS, installed BC Edit. The *one* thing that "solves" the problem is hitting F8 upon bootup and selecting "Disable Microsoft Driver Signature Enforcement." I'll have network connection again after that, but then it goes away upon the next boot up, so I have to do this *every* time I want to use the computer. This gets kinda annoying, especially when I do leave it on during a download from Steam or something overnight, it needs to reboot for updates or part of the install process, then it boots back up and connection is lost, so download doesn't complete until the next day when I reboot it *again* and do the F8 routine. Because I have a beast-sized graphics card and an audio card, I have no room for a separate NIC card.

I run Windows 7 x64. I have a desktop and a laptop, both of which have had reinstalls done on them in the past (long before the LAN issue on the desktop happened), both had problems with reinstalling because it wouldn't let me re-use my product key. I then had to buy all new copies of Windows (I *really* try to stay away from torrenting). This is not a hassle or expense that I wish to go through again unless I *know* it will fix the problem.
Three things that I neglected to mention that I've tried are:
- System Restore
- Set to Last Known Good Configuration
- Installing a USB wireless adapter - that doesn't work either without the whole F8 routine.

Pausing Issue (CS4)

I am using Adobe Premiere CS4 trial (4.0.0), and i am having the issue of when editing a vid. In the preview you see in the upper right. The video doesn't preview as it should. But the picture of the video pause's while the audio is fine and keeps playing.
I can load a video file fine in a video player, but it doesn't play in the preview in Premiere
I checked the System Requirement and i my computer meets the right requirements.

The specs they list is way off.
Also not all video is equal.
Some are much harder to edit than others.

Borderlands and ps3 controller issues

hi i play borderlands on my imac, i use my ps3 controller as a gamepad and i have one issues. When playing the game when trying to bring up such things as vendor screen to buy items it will not stay. I played it without the controller and it works fine, so it something to do with the controller being used. Is anyone else who plays like this have this problem? How can i fix it

My wife and I have the same problem with our respective iMacs when we play Borderlands. There is obviously a bug somewhere either on Feral's end or Apple's Bluetooth end. There is one solution that I discovered, if you don't mind keeping your controller tethered to your computer via USB.
Step 1: Make sure your PS3 controller is not currently paired with your Mac (I am not certain if this step is critical or not, but this how I do it to get it to work).
Step 2: Startup Borderlands and begin your game.
Step 3: Plug your PS3 controller into your Mac via USB (your charaters perspective will begin to spin around on your screen).
Step 4: Press the clear circular button in the middle of your PS3 controller and keep your controller plugged into your Mac. Do not unplug your controller from the USB port until you are done playing your game (you should now be able to use your controller in the game without that annoying glitch).
