Controlling area setting

Hi,
We have a customer which is a corporate including 2 companies separately in two different countries. it means these two companies have different company currency. My question is whether I need to set one controlling area or two. Please give some clues to consider it. If you have any suggest please tell me. Thanks.

You can assign two comapnies to a single Controlling area, if:
1. Both have same operating COA.
2. Same fiscal year variant.
You need to decide on what should be your Controlling area currency.
Some of the factors:
1. You need to consider, if Cross-company controlling is required or not.
2. All postings in CO are stored in 3 currencies viz., Co.Area Ccy, Object Ccy & Transaction Ccy. In the case of cross-company code controlling, the currency of the company code is always stored as the object currency. One disadvantage is that all CO reports predelivered by SAP system by default show controlling area currency. This is not a major disadvantage however, as you can use user settings (RCP0 etc.,) to change reporting currency.
3. CO-PA: With Cross-company controlling, you can use only one Operating concern, which means two company codes use same set Characteristics/value fields for margin reporting.
However, the most important factor in your decision should be the processes you require in logistics.

I think it means "the sliders are all 0 so painting adjustments with this brush won't change anything." In other words, move one of the sliders to a non-zero position, for example Exposure from 0 to 1.0, and then see what happens. You can edit the brush and change it to do something other than Exposure +1.

I contacted Netflix and they had me install a newer version of their software Silverlight... this did nothing to resolve the issue. They were not familiar with the issue.

Well if your on 10.6.2, you need to software update to 10.6.8
Perhaps you need to adjust the Silverlight (Microsoft DRM video plug-in) sound level itself too
Run a check here to see if your current on your Silverlight (works for all browsers)

Use another browser like Firefox and see if it continues.
Try another video file. They all have their own sound levels too.

Please let me know the use and implication of a tick " Purely iterative price" coming in Version setting of controlling area fiscal year wise (Txn Code OKEQ).

I want to clarify some more doubts as follow:
1) How this iterative price is calculated means by which transaction code, Is it calculated at the time of automatic plan price calculation means thru KSS4 & KSPI..
2) What is formula system uses to calculate this price, like plan price may be calculated based on Planned Cost /Planned Activity.
3) Where we can see this price means in which Txn Code.
4) As you have said that this cannot be used for revaluation, then what is the use, Is it only for Analysis purpose.
5) Is there any other settings we have to do in activity master or any other, to calculate the same.

Hi Venkataswamy,
First you should set your controlling area to your controlling area with the help of TCode OKKS.
Once you have set the controlling area, Goto the TCode KE59 where you can create the dummy profit center master record.
After you create it you can go and see in TCode 0KE5 controlling area settings that your dummy profit center field is filled with the one you created in KE59.

Changing company code - controlling area assignment

For one of our company code controlling area set up is "Controlling area same as company code"_ and the currency type 10 i.e. company code currency. We are unable to assign another company code to contolling area because of the current set.
I would like to know whether there will be any impact if I change the set up to "Cross company-code cost accounting" and currency type to 30.

Credit control area issue.

hello Experts,
I recently join a support team.
Schenario -
- assigned cocd to credit contrl area checked for "Overwrite CC", no value in "crd contrl area" Field.
- 9 credit contrl areas are permitted to one company code.
- Particular customer has different credit limits in different credti contrl area in FD32.
User raise issue-
While any FI Posting related to customer, there should be a mendetory field to enter Credit control area for both debit and credit item, even when document is reversed.
I m confused.
Can any one give me idea to resolve.

Hi,
the credit control area relates to customers, not to individual documents. It may help to think of this organization:
- credit control area is linked to company code
- customer is assigned to risk category in a credit control area
Now when you post in AR/FI the system uses the link between company code and credit control area set up in customizing.
There is no need to make an entry in the posting document.

Basic point to use same controlling area ... u should use same chart of accounts, fiscal year variant.
Any of the above coditions are not satisfied, in that case u r not allowed to use same controlling area for different company codes

I am getting Popup Window to Set Controlling Area when I click on Add to Shopping Cart in Shopping Cart Creation Process.
Problem Explanation: I went to Shopping Cart Creation from SRM (4.0) Web Browser -> Describe Requirement -> entered the details description, quantiy, unit-> clicked on Add to Shopping -> here I am getting Popup Window - Set Controlling Area.

Setting up or defining of Cost centers and Controlling Areas are the functions of a FICO consultant and not HR. Ask the FICO consultant to create what you need and they will sit with you for a final conclusion and decide on what to do and what to create according to the business scenario.
If you have the authorisation for defining goto SPRO - enterprise structure - Definition and there you define controling araes. (Look at the implecations on creation as they are linked in many places)

My problem is that after printing the first photo or picture, when I come to print a second, both the Colour Management and Epson Colour Controls are greyed out and showing No Colour Management

I have recently purchased a Mac computer (updated to Maverick) to go with my Epson Stylus Photo RX500 printer which has given excellent service with my old Windows computer. However, when trying to print pictures or photos via Photoshop Elements 11, the best results I can get are using the Colour Management and Epson Colour controls in the printing options box.
My problem is that after printing the first photo or picture, when I come to print a second, both the Colour Management and Epson Colour Controls are greyed out and showing No Colour Management, The only way I can reset the controls is to shut down the printer and computer and restart.
Could there may be a setting somewhere that I need to adjust please? I have been in touch with Epson and they say that the Epson Colour controls are part of the Photoshop Elements software but a post on the Adobe forum brought no results and I am unable to contact Adobe.

Hello Garry. Thanks for the reply. I guess I should have used a different title from "How do I post a question?" That should come after trying to resolved the colour settings first. However, to answer your question, after experimenting with all the different settings in Photoshop Elements and Epson software, I now start with PSE11 Colour settings then click "no colour management" then after clicking Print, I choose "More Options/Colour Management/Colour Handling/Printer Manages Colour" then I choose "Page Setup/Layout/Colour Matching" which then shows Epson Colour Controls but I also choose "Layout/Colour Management" which then shows "Colour Controls/Mode" I then of course choose an Epson printer profile depending on the paper I am using. I get good results but as I said, the Colour Matching and Colour Controls are then greyed out. Hope that makes sense.

This problem has occurred AGAIN! I am at a loss of how to resolve.
E.g.
Hours posted = 168 (@ 50 Eur/hr)
Eur = 8,517.60
GBP = 75,396.72
The object currency is Eur however the controlling area currency is GBP. When converting back to GBP it is completely incorrect. Any help would be much appreciated!

Please provide user exit for the merging the credit limit in different credit control area as well as logic for the same.
I have to merge the overall credit limit of the customer for some divisions. At this time in one company code we have created 9 credit control area as per product line. While creating customer master data and Credit management (FD32) user has assigned the different limit with respective to credit control area e. g Customeru2019s total limit assigned is 10 laks. For credit control 1100 Limit is Rs. 3 laks and for credit control area 2200 limit is 7 laks. Now the user wants to merge the credit limit for only above two credit control area. The sales orders should get created in any credit control area up to 10 laks.

Creation of a new controlling area

I'm trying to create a new controlling area (trans. OKKP).
In folder "activate components/control indicators", I wanted to activate Profitability Analysis but the field was in grey and was not possible to change from "component not active" to one of the other activation possibilities.
I need to know what to do to change this field.
The client is working with COPA and this set-up was done before to assign the controlling area to the FI company.
The SAP version is 4.7
