Controlling chart scale
I have created line chart. Where time is at x-axis and pressure is at y-axis. My actual pressure values are within range of 900 to 1000. I want to modify scale of y-axis so that instead of showing a scale from 0 to 1000, the scale range for y-axis should be 900 to 1000. How can i do this?
<mx:LineChart id="lcDisplay" dataProvider="{acResults}">
<mx:horizontalAxis>
<mx:CategoryAxis categoryField="time" title="Time" />
</mx:horizontalAxis>
<mx:series>
<mx:LineSeries id="lsPressure" displayName="Pressure" yField="airPressure" />
</mx:series>
</mx:LineChart>
At last i got my desired solution. here it is

Is it possible to develop the control charts in WAD.
Hi Gurus and Experts
We need your suggestions to go futhure with our requirement.
Right now KPI's are currently displayed in graphical form with the
ability to drill down into WO's( Work orders) from the graph page. our
new requirement is to get exactly the same set of information captured
and presented in control chart form. This is to be an adjunct. to, not
replace, the existing graphical set of data. Upper and lower control
limits will be set initially by the business, and the same drill down
functionality should be available from the control chart. The charts
can be displayed seperately from the exisiting set of charts if this
makes it easier.
Can you please suggest us whether is it possible to develop the control
charts and also have the functoinalities of the existing dashboards
(example drill down of WO's using the control charts) in WAD or through
viusal composer
Waiting for your responses..
Thanks
Ravi...Hello dj_page!
Thanks for the answer, but I know this already.
My problem is, that the small picture in the side panel and the histogram in LR5 are bigger than in LR4.
The two pictures are showing the difference between the versions.
On the left hand (LR4) you can see a smaller preview and histogram than on the right hand (LR5).
In each version you can change the size of the side panel only as small as the preview-window is.
The pictures are also showing the smallest size of the side panel in each version. -
Implementing SPC/Control charts in Reporting Services/BI Solution
Hello All
I'm one of the BI specialists in our company - currently looking after our BI solution which incorporates SQL Server 2005, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Performance Point, Pro Clarity and various other bits and bobs etc.
What I'm aiming to do, is establish a suite of SPC/Control charts for our portal, based on the suite of cubes we already have. At the moment, I'm thinking of producing these in the SSRS environment, but I'm open to suggestions!
As a starting point, I've created the necessary charts in Excel (calculating averages, standard deviation, upper/lower control limit) etc, but now I'm looking at implementing it in our DWH.
Third party software may be an option (such as Dundas, which keeps cropping up in my crusades!) but I'd like to perhaps generate these myself - if I'm not asking too much that is!
Any advice greatly appreciated...
Cheers
LeeHi Lee,
Based on your descriptions, you want to implement Statistical Process Control(SPC) chart in SQL Server Reporting Services. If I have misunderstood, please do not hesitate to let me know.
By default, we only have Column, Line, Shape, Bar, Area, Range, Scatter, Polar charts in SQL Server Reporting Services. As a workaround, we can anaylze the data using SQL Server Analysis Services, and then use these chart to display the data in SQL Server Reporting Services. We can use parameters to filter data.
Third party software may be an option. However, if you want to implement these charts by yourself, we can implement a custom report item in SQL Server Reporting Services. We can start it from here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms345231.aspx
If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.
Thanks,

How to generate control limits in control chart
I want to generate a X bar chart with control limits, sample size is Fix- 1.
SPC criterion I selected is 020 ie Task List characteristics/ Material.
1)Sampling Procedure I used- Fixed-1
2)Valuation mode I used- Attrib non conforming units/ manual.
3)Control chart I am using is 110- Shewart chart for X bar.
But when I click for control limits in chart it is saying control limits for track 1 could not be calculated.
Could anyone guide me, how to generate control limits for this graph. Sammple size will alwyas be 1.
Please let me know should I change control chart type in this case.Hi Jaison,
You should use valuation mode - SPC valuation in sampling procedure.
Also you have to use sampling procedure with inspection points.
as practically every hour or depending on the frequency decided we collect the measurements and calculate the SPC.
now after correction in the sampling procedure create new inspection lot and check SPC.
try out and revert.

Dear Experts
As part of SAP QM Implementation we are implementing control chart functionality to get graphical representation against measured values for pre-defined parameters. I am facing two issues mainly:
1. When I try to calculate control limits (clicking calculator button) getting message "Control limits for track 1 could not be calculated". MICs has the upper limit and lower limit maintained which I can see in QAMV table for the inspection lots.
2. In the attached control chart , I am getting Upper Limit, Lower Limit and the Valuated Result in graphical form, when I try to display the inspection date, for the characteristics against inspection lot, I get lost. System is showing some date 7/14/14 against all the characteristics which I am not sure how to achieve.
Settings I made:
Sampling type: Fixed sample
Valuation mode: SPC inspection
W/O inspection point
Sample size: 5
Chart type:115 Shewhart chart for X bar/USA
MIC Settings:
Quantitative / Lower / Upper Sp. Limit / Sampling Procedure / SPC Characteristics / Summerised Recording / Required Char.
Inspection plan setting is:
SPC criterion : 020 task list char/material
Base qty : 1KG
Control Chart Configurations:
1. Control Chart Type -115
a) Change Control Limit not checked
b) Characteristics Type- Fixed Scope, Record measured values
c) Reference Axis (x-axis) - Time of Creation ( Do I need to change here to "Object Number" or "Time Of Inspection" ?)
Any input will be highly appreciated.
Regards
SKHello,
For Control limits your chart needs to closed. and offcourse for calculation u need to have more than one inspection lot. then system will calculate the same. UD is also required against lots.

Oracle bi publisher PDF output changes chart scale
I have created report which has charts - bar charts
I able to run report in various formats including interactive, html, excel, powerpoint, pdf etc.
Now the chart scale on all other format reports showing perfect e.g. 3.0 height on y axis. So its basically adjusting as the max height (value) for y axis. But for PDF output no matter weather it has less than 3.0 for all values in that page, but it shows height 4.0 (instead of 3.0 max as other output formats are showing). So its not adjusting dynamically as other output formats.
How can I get PDF document display same as other output formats? Because if all values less than 0.5 height, still PDF output showing height as 4.0 , so graph is not visible or almost touching to the ground with straight line.
Please help and appreciate your help.
ThanksHas there been any update on this? I am running into the same problem, only it is only affecting one of my charts. The maximum keeps on dynamically setting to 4.0, though I have also seen it set its maximum to 5 and minimum to -5 given certain parameters.
I have three other charts on the same report: one with a dynamic maximum that sets correctly, and two that have a static maximum. The problem is only when I view it as a PDF. -
how can i take the print out of the control chart and also the necessary data like Cp Cpk values.
My exact requiremnt is, i want X-bar chart, R chart, all statistical values and also the results recorded of that characteristics on 1 page.
How is it possible?

How to see Control chart for a specific date range in QGC3
Hi
I am developing SPC for my client.I am facing one problem.
I am using one control chart for all inspection lot for a particular MIC.Free inspection point is used in inspection plan.
Control chart is used 516.(XMR chart)
Now when i am calling control chart for MIC executing QGC3,chart is showing results since creation chart date to todays date.
Now if i want to see chart for a particular period or date range, what is the procedure.
Thanks in advance
NilanjanHi,
1. Even though when i give the Created on, and to date the system is displaying the report which is prior to the created on date.
2. Similarly the report data is different when the field is maximum no of Hits is given. for example when i giving this field as 10, 20, 30, etc the report is showing only 10 line items. if i enter 50, 60 etc it is showing the list for half i given.
Note that system is having more than 1000 line items to display..

I'm having trouble with the X bar and S chart control limits. I am not able to get them to calculate as expected. Also, I'm not clear on what the number parameters (parameter 1, 2, 3, and 4) in the IMG do.
Has anyone out there successfully set-up SPC charting? If so, will you please give me some pointers? We are collecting the mean and standard deviation for each of our test parameters by inspection lot. The number inspected varies per inspection lot.
Thanks,
BobHi Shailendra,
After I change the SPC criteria to "070 MIC/Material" in insp. plan, the control chart shows multiple insp. lot result successfully.
But the system auto collect all the corresponding MIC/Material in one item (ex. 19th). Is there any way to separate the result by every month?
Thanks. -
Control Chart in Crystal Report
Hi
Is it possible to create control chart in crystal report XI (with upper level and lower level limit)
if it possible, can you please let me know how to do?
ThanksNot sure its possible in standard CR.
It is possible with an add-in product:

Change Diagram Type in Control Chart in QE51N
Hi
I'm using the QE51N to record the results.
I press the Control Chart Button and it's OK.
I change the Diagram Type from "Lines" to "XY" (Dispersion), but the change isn't keep it for the other characteristics, or if another day I execute the QE51N the Diagram type remains like "Lines"
Is it possible to change the diagram type and keep it forever? I have used the "Save Mode" button but doesn't work.
Thanks a lot for the answe.I will give the points.
Take care,
FranciscoDear Fransisco
Try to change the same in the configuration. It might help
SPRO > QM >Quality Control > Define Graphic Types for Evaluations of Original Documents > here choose 003 for control chart and change the chart type on the right hand side

I want to do my sample of the project following these steps.
I
1. Create the template for compare other objects.
2. Save the template and ready for compare realtime with other objects
II
1. Use the CCTV video camera Sony capture the picture of the object (lego toys).
2. Calculate the size of the objects and change to mm.
3. Compare with the template and plot graph(Control chart) by length
4. Export the data to Excel Files
Solved!

I sincerely hope you are not expecting us to do your homework.
What is your experience with LabVIEW ?
May be you should try to start to code something and then come back later with some more specific question ?

While we were reviewing requirments for our dashboard one element
that was requierd is show Delivery performance in a form of a control
chart. Currently we use minitab to produce this control charts. Minitab
is capable to produce this control chart calculating average,UCL,LSL and
show "error types" when a point is out of UCL LCL limits. Question is that
if oracle tools will be able to produce such control charts or something
similar and determine if we will have to reproduce calculations that
minitab does using custom processes that will be part of the Dashboard.Hi,
It is the date on which the SPC characteristic is first assigned to the lot. It gives the reference of the lot for which it was assigned first.
Hope this is helpful. -
Dear all
i have checked all the parameters required to maintain control charts. but when i enter data for in process insp. lot and display control chart an error message occur
"track 1 of the control chart does not contain any data"
so please guide me how can i see the control chart and explain me to rectify that fault.Hi Shoaib,
Check the following.
Condition 1:
In sampling valuation mode should be SPC Inspection and Control choose any control chart type.
Condition 2:
In result recording your MIC should be single result entry as well as you have to enter more than one result.
Check and revert.

Hello,
I would like to select control chart through QGC1 transaction, I only need to select one control chart by the control chart number, as there is no selection field in main selection screen, I used dynamic selections to enter control chart number as selection condition, but it seems system would not consider the restriction in dynamic selections, it selected more than one control charts finally.
Can anyone help me understanding why this happened? How can I select only one control chart by control chart number?
Thanks a lot.
BennyDear Benny
I think this functionality is not available for selecting the chart.
But i would suggest you to create variant for each chart and number it according to the chart number.
