Controlling multiple screens

Although this is on a Mac Pro I think it's more a leopard question.
The two display ports on my Mac Pro are connected to a Cinema display and a Panasonic TV (HDMI).
The Cinema display is my main display and the Panasonic used for occasional viewing of videos etc. via Plex. Everything works fine. But when I am not using the Panasonic it still appears as a display on the Mac. Consequently windows occasionally open on the Panasonic display, I forget and think I have lost them. Only way to retrieve them is to turn the TV on and drag them back. This happens even though the HDMI port on the TV isn't selected. In fact even when the TV is turned off. The only way I can seem to temporarily loose the extra display in Leopard is to unplug it's cable from the back of the Mac. Is there any way I can do this without unplugging. I have a feeling there is a simple answer and I will kick myself when I hear it.

A DMP connects to a single screen as it has a single HDMI output. Some monitors allow daisy chaining across multiple monitors but this a function of the monitor not the DMP. With this option you can get the image to fit across multiple monitors like a 2x2 monitor setup. The primary monitor connects to the DMP and then the rest of the monitors connect monitor to monitor using a HDMI cable. You then program the main monitor for how you want the screens to show the image.
The datasheet is referring to content can be placed in separate regions on a monitor. This way you could have a video in one region, text/image in another and an RSS feed in a third.

Moving apps in mission control over multiple screens

Hey all, is it at all possible to move applications through mission control between screens? In Spaces this was no problem, but with Mission Control they seem to have botched this up.
So, I open mission control, i see MC running on both screens, then I want to grab a window, and move it to a 'space' on my other screen. Pretty straightforward stuff. Not a problem in Spaces. Seemingly impossible in MC.
Am i overlooking something?

Yes, I completely agree. I can't see how to see minimized programs in MC either and it is extremely annoying.
Another annoyance is programs appear in different places from one use of Mission Control to another a few seconds later.

Multiple problems with control and screen sharing

First of all, I am having a weird problem while connected to a G5 Xserve that is running OS 10.4.5 and ARD version 3.2.1. When controlling the screen, I am unable to type. It only types the character "a" or "A" whenever I type any letter. Numbers are fine. The kicker here is if I use a different vpn server connection into the same machine (vine server), I can type fine. Has anyone experienced this problem?
My other issue is when attempting to connect to some clients using ARD, I cannot see thier screen. I receive an error message stating that Authentication failed. I can perform all other functions with ARD on those machines... but when trying to see thier screen... nothing. I can actually share my screen with them successfully though. They are not running any third-party vnc server which was my first thought.

I got all mine working without using root or going to the machines.
ssh into them and remove com.apple.RemoteManagement.plist with
rm /Library/Preferences/com.apple.RemoteManagement.plist

Using a single remote app to control multiple Apple TVs

Can you use the remote application which is loaded on my IPad 2 to control multiple ATVs independently? If so, how is this done.

Yes you can.
I have a mixture of AppleTV 1 and 2 and several itunes libraries.
The top level screen lists all devices/itunes libraries - when you choose one it enters the control mode for that and app tends to restart with that iTunes library or AppleTV device. Press icon that looks lie 2 overlapping squares with rounded edges on top left of display to get back to top level screen.

Multiple screens issue on App Server 10.1.2.3

Hi, I'm having an issue with having multiple screen open within the same session on App Server 10g.
The first screen opens and operates just fine.
When I open the 2nd screen, I have some poplists that get built when it opens, but it doesn't seem to populate them. If I close my first screen and this one, then open this screen, it works fine. I do have some "Global" variables that we're using that may be causing the issue. THey worked fine in the days of 6i but conflicting now in 10g when multiple screens are opened.
I was wondering if there was a solution to get around this, or there is a config file that I could change that would resolve this.
Any help is much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

We have just run it through with the same patchset for the installer. This is a clean install of Win OS and installed the 10g database first.
We receive the following error when installing the App Server (Forms & Reports)

When we type NET HELPMSG 3547 (as suggested), we receive the following error message:

Are you running Windows Server 2008 (first release) or Windows Server 2008 R2?
Any suggestions? I will try installing the App Server without installing the database now to see if that makes any difference.

Multiple screens in one frame

Hi all,
I'd like to know how to be able to display multiple screens within one frame. Depending on the choice made on the first screen, the second screen should be either "View Default" or "Modify Default." The modifying will involve a number of other screens.
One idea is to group by Panel and control panels. Any better idea?

Do you mean multiple displays in one frame? If so, you have several options. With JTabbedPane you could dynamically add new views to the frame, with the disadvantage of only being able to see one at a time. JSplitPane allows you to nest various views within one frame, though has the disadvantage of having extremely complex display logic when several split panes are displayed at the same time, and of displaying all displayed panes simultaneously.
Perhaps the best possibility is to use JDesktopPane, within which you can insert as many JInternalFrames as you want.

Multiple screens in infotype.

Hi, i've seen that exists infotype with multiple screens (for example screen 2001, 2002, 2003), how is established which screen must be displayed when a user would create the infotype? How is implemented the table t588m? Thanks for answers.

Passing data to multiple screens through SAP webgui;

Hello, I'm working on building an application that requires me to pass data to multiple screens of a SAP transaction (IW31) through SAP webgui. The requirement is to enter the required information in the initial screen, "Header data" screen and in the "Object Data" screen. I'm using the below URL to launch the webgui:

Thank you for your prompt response but I do not understand your answer or perhaps I am not makig myself clear.
Let me explain the current process:
1) Z program collects data and exports to Memory ID 'TEST01'.
2) Z program calls SAP program
3) SAP program calls User Exit '001' and data is read from Memory ID 'TEST01'.
4) SAP program collects some of the data and then executes SAP FM to continue processing.
5) SAP FM Executes User Exit for FM and data is read from Memory ID 'TEST01'.
6) SAP FM returns completed data back to SAP main program.
7) Z Program collects results from SAP program.
New process:
1) Z program collects data and exports to Memory ID 'TEST01'. Data now includes filter for CC.
2) Z program calls SAP program
3) SAP program calls User Exit '001' and data is read from Memory ID 'TEST01'.
4) SAP program collects some of the data and then executes SAP FM IN PARALLEL PROCESSING to continue processing.
5) SAP FM Executes User Exit for FM and an attempt to read data is read from Memory ID 'TEST01' fails.
6) SAP FM returns completed data back to SAP main program.
7) Z Program collects results from SAP program.
The dilemma is how to capture the proper CC filter in the FM exit when SAP is unable to read the data from memory ID 'TEST01'. I guess I can understand this since the tasks are executed in separate sessions and servers from the one that started the program since we are using a server group.
Perhaps I am missing something with respect to exporting to memory IDs?

Can flash handle multiple screens?

hi people,
need some advice please. I want to make an application that works on 2 screen.
on screen1 I need to make GUI with several buttons, sliders, radio buttons, field for dynamic text
on screen2 (big screen / LED / video projector) I want to output photos and simple vector animations that are controlled with GUI on screen1
I don't know if it is possible in Flash to have one output with GUI and other with content. Does Flash recognize multiple screen outputs? Is there an action script command to tell flash projector: this put on screen1 and this put on screen2

I have been using flash when it was version 3. I stopped with MX version and haven't opened it for last 5 years.I was great in as1, ok with as2 but never read/write any command in as3. This is a big challenge for me

I guess that the northcode link can be helpfull. I haven't looked at their products for quite a while, but I used to think, that they did excellent stuff. Without additional software, I think you could use the local.connection feature and two swfs - one for (remote)-control and one for display. I'm not sure about how to achive full full-screen and not loosing it when working on the controler, but there may be a solution with the help of a full-screen browser...

Controlling multiple Keynote presentation machines at once.

Does anyone know of a network based program that will allow me to control multiple machines running Keynote? I have a multiple screen application that needs to have 3 Keynote presentations going "in sync". I found mention of a 2006 program called Keyshowx from a website called keywebx.com. Unfortunately, it looks like this website no longer functions, so I am unable to purchase the program.
Does anyone have an idea of how this might be done?

Configure Access Control Owner screen

Hi All,
I am working on SAP GRC project and it's very new to me. I have one user and that user has Access control owners screen.
This role displaying all the Central Owner in the table. When I click one role than Open button gets activated. When i click open button it's navigating to Owner assignment screen in Central Owner Administration. In here i am having two doubts,
1. Is this possible to create duplicate screen of Owner assignment screen
2. If possible how to configure that in Access Control Owners screen.

its not possible for creating duplicate entries for one user with similar owner administration in Access Control Owners tab.
and it is possible, for one user we can able to assign multiple responsibilities.
Once we are in to Access control Owners screen
-> select the user id which you want assign additional responsibility like Risk Owner, MC owner and FF role owner etc.
-->Click on open button and select multiple responsibilities and save the data.
And make sure that user should have the required roles before assigning the responsibilities in access control owners.

Android Multiple Screens

Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible with Adobe air to allow for multiple screens in Android. I have a HTC Incredible and a Galaxy Nexus both of which support video out. Android currently only supports mirroring for Video out. I wanted to know if it would be possible for adobe air to recognize the video out of the device as an external display that use either a MHL HDMI Out (Galaxy Nexus) or Analog-Composite video out (HTC Incredible). To illustrate a scenario that would use this: let say the app is a gallery and has x amount of pictures. The user has a video out cable connected and is recognized as the second monitor. Once the user sees a picture they like they would click on the image. Once the image is clicked it is sent to the 2nd display (the video out of the Android device) so the picture is being displayed on the larger screen while the user is still free to browse the pictures. Is this in realm of Adobe Air capabilities? Or am I misinterpreting "Multiscreen Development"?

SRM 7.0 Multiple screen for singe document

Hi Experts,
In SRM 7.0 when I select an SC and click create confirmation button, a pop-up window gets open for the confirmation to be entered.
At this stage, If I click the create confirmation button again on the parent screen a new window get open for confirmation.
Now I am able to create 2 confirmation document for the same shopping cart with the same qty.
Can this be avoided? Is it possible to get the parent screen inactive while working on the pop-up/child screen?
Any better ideas/solution?

Please test with NetWeaver Portal Personalization - Work Protect Mode. Ther is an option Discard unsaved data (open page in same window). If it does not help I think ther is no easy way. BTW, my clients are very happy with multiple screen function and item copy&past function between screens.

Using airport utility to control multiple speakers at the same time

Can I use the aiport utility on my Ipod to control multiple speakers/airport express units at the same time? I am able to do this directly in ITunes but when I use my Ipod as the "remote" by using the airport utility it only seems to allow me to play music on one set of speakers at a time. If I stream music to one set of speakers and then select a different set it stops the music that was going to the first set in order to stream it to the second set. I hope that this is just user error and not a limitation of the airport utility because I just purchased a brand new Ipod in order to be able to do this (airport utility wasn't compatible with me 2nd Gen). Thanks in advance for any help!

If you have not already done so, now would be a good time to perform a complete power cycle of the entire network.
Power off all devices...modem, routers, computers, etc....in any order that you wish
Wait a few minutes
Power up the modem first, and let it run 2-3 minutes by itself
Power of the wireless router connected to the modem next the same way
Power of the other AirPort routers one at a time about a minute apart
Keep powering up devices one at a time about a minute apart until the entire network is back up
Check the network
