The CommandLine tool is also shipped with JCAPS and which is very useful to tool.
We can do deploy, redeploy and undeploy with this tool. and the respective docs are available as said in the above location.

  • Mission control profiling templates

Is there a repository of mission control profiling templates? I have been doing profiling with jcmd JFR commands, and using provided templates either gives me to few information or too many information, that I can not work with it, so it would be ideal for me, if I just want to do a profiling session for memory garbage collection optimization there are a lot of events irrelevant for this on the profile template.
I know I can make one myself from Mission Control, but I don't know all the relevant events and timings for triggers to define this, as I'm not an expert on the topic. It would be perfect if there was a repository/wiki/whatever for such a thing.
    Thanks

    Hi Jorge,
That is a really good idea! For instance, I know that various groups within Oracle have custom templates for the old JRockit Flight Recorder. Let's use this thread to link to our favourite templates!
    Kind regards,

  • Does lightroom honor my incamera picture control profiles?

I've been struggling with this question while importing photos from a Nikon D700.
Sometimes  I switch to different picture control settings in Nikon depending on the shooting situation.  I use D2x  profiles for portraits frequently, but on import,  lightroom seems to discard everything and applies "Adobe Standard" to all pics (RAW).  Does lightroom care? Or is picture control profiles only  apply to jpeg?
Please let me know what is the smoothest way I  can import photos into lighroom without having to go through each photo  and adjust colors.  I'm sure there must be a way to import photos so  that they at least reflect what I'm doing in camera.
    Thanks in advance

The picture styles the manufactures provide are proprietary raw to JPEG processing in-camera. Only the manufacturers know that recipe.
a bit of a myth this. Manufacturers processes are not unknown. They are not secret in any way. The settings are applicable only to the manufacturers software (or the firmware for in camera production of jpgs). LR uses different (and superior) processing tools, so cannot apply them.
If you wish to use the in camera settings then you can
1 Shoot RAW plus jpg. The jpg will be processed according to the manufacturers settings.
2 Shoot RAW and use the propitiatory tools provided or sold by the manufacturer rather than LR.
Certain proprietary settings are actually shared and used by LR. The lens corrections built into m 4:3's cameras being an example. But the colour profiles, sharpening, noise reduction etc. in LR is different to that used by proprietary software such as DPP or Nikon Capture so these cannot be used directly. Adoe makes it's own camera specific profiles for every camera, these may not match the manufacturers. In the case of some Canon and Nikon cameras Adobe also produce alternative colour profiles which closly match (but are not exact replicas) the ones the camera manufacturer uses.
The "secret sauce" is not the information in the file, but the way each different RAW processing software uses that information. There is no right or wrong interpretation of the data and it is really down to individual preference between LR, Capture One etc. and the various manufacturers software. The biggest problem you have with using Canon or Nikon software is that it only works with Canon or Nikon cameras (which is of course the reason the manufacturers are keen on it). Whereas LR, Capture One etc. works with any camera.
    The choice is all yours.

  • In-Camera Vignette Control + Profile Vignette Correction = Double Correction?

    Hello,
I have a D700 with the in-camera setting for Vignette Control set to Normal (the default value).  When applying the profiles shipped with LR3, is vignette correction being applied twice (once in camera and once by LR)?  Or is LR smart enough to compensate for that?  It seems to me that LR would a specific amount of correction based on the settings used by the camera that created the profile (whether that person had Vignette Control on or off).  Can anyone please clarify this?
    Thanks
    Nate

    Correct, only to JPEGs.
Adobe's profiles are built assuming that the lens corrections are disabled by the camera. So if you try to apply a profile to a camera JPEG that already has vignette correction applied, it will double-correct.

  • HELP! - Lost CVS Version Control Profiles in JSC-2

Can anyone tell me how to restore the default JSC-2 Version Management CVS Profile?
Somehow I managed to delete the CVS AND the VSS Profiles, so I cannot set up ANY sort of Version Management.
What can I do to fix this??
    Many thanks in advance,

I think the easiest way would be to start with a fresh userdir. That's where the IDE stores all the per-user changed information.
Move $HOME/.Creator/2_? (0 or 1 depending on which update version you are) to something like $HOME/.Creator/2_?.myOld ;-)
Now the next time you start the IDE, everything should be back in order with the version control. But you will have to open you projects again etc!
    Thanks,

  • Bluetooth pairing controlling profile change?

Hi! I'm looking a solution to my carkit problem.. The idea is that when my 1st phone connects via Bluetooth to my other phone in car (which is always connected in the Mercedes carkit), the 1st phone should change to offline profile. I haven't seen this kind of functionality in any program. Thanks!

I'm glad the above user was able to figure out the problem with the S9.  However, the AD2P connectivity is broken with the 1.2 update with my stereo bluetooth headset (Voyager 855).  After connecting, the connection is being lost & reacquired much more frequently than before the update.  And after being lost only reaquires the phone channel it will no longer automatically reconnect with the AD2P channel.  If I want to listen to music or other audio I have to manually reconnect by disconnecting the headset in bluetooth preferences & then reconnecting.  This restores the AD2P channel along with the phone.  This was not necessary before & temporary disconnectivy was much less frequent.  Deleted the headset from the Pre & tried pairing it again.  But that didn't solve anything.  Tried deleting the headset, rebooting the phone, & pairing again & that didn't work either.Luckily, the disconnects are not happening during use, only when the channel is inactive (but connected).
As with the above poster this is a minor annoyance, but an irritating one nonetheless because one of the major features of the Pre is the music player & one of the major convienances of the listening is being able to use stereo bluetooth.I hope Palm is paying attention to these posts & will issue a patch soon.

  • Why does the Adobe Standard profile make a mess of old NEF files?

Recently I've been reprocessing some old NEF files taken with the Nikon D50 camera years ago, and I was startled to find that the Adobe Standard camera profile does a bad job on them: the photos come out muddy-looking, really unacceptable, with too much yellow and magenta. I can fix the problem by choosing the Camera Standard profile, which gives acceptable results. However, I believe that Adobe Standard is generally recommended by Adobe, and I wonder what the problem is here. Does anyone know?
I currently use a Nikon D7000, and Adobe Standard seems to work well enough with that camera.
Later: After checking and comparing more carefully, I think that perhaps I prefer Camera Standard with the D7000 too. Adobe Standard is certainly acceptable with the D7000, but Camera Standard gives blue skies of clearer blue, and less exaggerated reds. So the best fix for me is probably to make Camera Standard my default for all cameras.
Looking around the Web, I see various people complaining about too much magenta with Adobe Standard, although other people are happy with it.

Yammer P, thanks for the input.  I have been working with the DNG Profile Editor since the first version was available.  I also started using the Passport software when it was first available.  I first worked on a profile for the D200 and after many attempts I finally have one that works great.  The Camera profiles did not exist at that time and the D200 does not have Picture Control Profiles, I believe that was first available with the D300.  Adobe did generate Picture Control Profiles for the D200 and they are also available in Nikon Capture NX2.
I currently have a D700, and have spent a lot of time working on profiles for this camera.  I have used the DNG Profile Editor's Chart Tab to generate profiles for most of the Camera Profiles and Adobe Standard.  I find that Adobe Standard profile is brighter than the Camera profiles by about 0.25 stop.  After working on this for about 2 years I have decided to use the Camera Neutral with a modified tone curve and slight reduction in saturation as my starting point and no changes in hue.  I also generated a modified Picture Control profile for Neutral using the Nikon Picture Control software that has the same characteristics and loaded it into the camera.  I get good agreement between jpg's from the camera and the nef file that opens in ACR without adjustments.   The tone curve I used only has three points - the In/out values are 27/22, 127/127, 228/233 and saturation was set to -5.
I don't understand what Adobe changed when they genrated the Adobe Standard Profile instead of the ACR4.x versions, but I like the ACR4.x version better.

  • 290x Gaming 4G - NO FAN CONTROL AFTERBURNER

I am not the only person, why on earth does MSI PAY for Afterburner and not have proper control of their cards through it?
The stock fan control profiles SUCK and I'd be happy to have just plain ole, SIMPLE fan control. Afterburner doesnt work, MSI Gaming APP doesnt do  (horrible program BTW devs) and CCC doesnt work either... YAY!
Someone tell me I am moron for not finding some hidden checkbox, otherwise I am pretty disappointed with my two new 290x Gaming 4G's.

    Use the attached for both.
Create a bootable usb stick (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=165175.0).
Then unpack the previously provided archive (TV308MH_161.rar) and put the included file (TV308MH.161) on that stick.
Rename TV308MH.161 to 161.rom. Put the atiflash.exe also included in the archive on the USB stick too. Now boot from the stick.
Type atiflash -p -f -noaper 0 161.rom [ENTER] and let it flash the vbios if flashing both cards one after another with one card removed. If you want to flash both in one system the syntax listed before will just flash one card. You'd need to type then atiflash -p -f -noaper 0 161.rom [ENTER] and atiflash -p -f -noaper 1 161.rom [ENTER].

  • Selection profile sets for capacity planning

    Hi,
Could you please explain me in details about different sets in selection profiles configuration (work center set, order set, capacity category set, initial set) thorugh OPA2  and how they are related to sets in OPD1 configuration (Object, filter sets).
Does these sets will effect capacity availability check calculations or they only for different display options for user.
Please provide if there is any detailed document available since I have a problem where CM01 list is not matching with overall profile used for capacity availability check while creating orders.

  • Profiles in location master data

    Hi guys,
There are certain profiles in location master data FR view , could you tell me how to create all this profiles?
    Thanks and regards
    Thamizhchelvan G

Forecast and Replenishment (FR) relate profiles
Time Series Profile :   A time series profile contains a set of time series definitions. A time series definition describes the operational meaning and technical behavior of a time series instance.
For creation this profile goto SPRO --> Forecasting and Replenishment --> Time Series --> Maintain Time Series Profile
    Program Name is /FRE/SAPLUI_TSPR
Similarly you can create other profiles :
    Goto Transaction SPRO
Forecasting and Replenishment --> F&R Processor --> Maintain Base Profiles
    Maintain Exception Base Profiles
    Maintain Exception Base Profiles
    Maintain Requirement Calculation Profiles
    Maintain Service Level Profiles
    Maintain Exception Profiles
    Maintain Process Control Profiles
    Maintain Forecast Frequency Profiles
    Maintain Forecast Frequency Profiles
    Maintain FRP Start Profiles
Base Profile for F&R : The base profile contains all basic FRP settings for a single location, including selling class limits and forecast horizons.
The forecast horizons are only taken into account if no operational forecast horizon is defined on the location product level.
Profile for Requirement Quantity Optimization: The requirement quantity optimization profile contains settings for optimizing order proposals.
Exception Base Profile : Alert Profile
    Responsibility Profile for RWBS
    Consumption Profile:
    Temporary Replenishment Blocking:
Start Date for Temporary Replenishment Blocking
End Date for Temporary Replenishment Blocking
Hope above information will help you

  • Best way to control and read data from multiple instruments?

    Hello,
I'm building an application to test power supplies involving multiple pieces of equipment over a couple of different comm busses. The application will also send control instructions to some of the instruments, and read data from some of the instruments. The reading and control profiles will not run on the same schedule (variable length control steps, configurable read interval).
I was thinking of using a queued statemachine (producer/consumer) for the control profile and another to read the data, but I got concerned that there would be collisions between sending control commands and read commands to the same machine. Is there a suggested design pattern for implementing something like this?
Timing of the commands isn't critical down to the milisecond, but I need to collect reasonably accurate timestamps when the data is read. The same is true for the control commands.
Here are the instruments I'm going to use, if the are control, read, or both, and the communication method
    Instrument Funtions Comm Method
Power Supply Read data Communicates to PMBus Adapter
PMBus to USB Adapter Read data USB (Non-Visa)
    Switch control relays USB (VISA)
Power Dist. Unit read data/control outlets SNMP (Ethernet)
Electronic Load read data/control load GPIB (VISA)
Thermal Chamber read data/control temp Ethernet (VISA)
    Thanks,
    Simon

Hello, there is a template in LV called "Continuous measurement and Logging".
It can give you some idea how to properly decouple the "GUI Event handler" top loop (where your Event structure is) from the DAQ and other loops.
You do not need to totally replicate the above example, but you can find there nice tricks which can help you at certain points.
The second loop from the top is the "UI message loop". It handles the commands coming from the top loop, and regarding to the local state machine and other possible conditions and states, it can command the other loops below.
During normal run, the different instrument loops just do the data reading, but if you send a control command from the top loop to a certain instrument loop (use a separate Queue for every instrument loops), that loop will Dequeue the control command, execute it, and goes back to data reading mode (in data reading mode the loop Dequeu itself with a "data read" command automatically). In this way the control and data read modes happen in serial not in parallel which you want to avoid (but I think some instrument drivers can even handle parallel access, it will not happen in really parallel...).
In every instrument loop when you read a value, attach a TimeStamp to it, and send this timestamp/value couple to the DataLogging loop via a Queue. You can use a cluster including 3 items: Source(instrument)/timestamp/value. All the instrument loops can use the same "Data logging" Queue. In the Datalogging while loop, after Dequeue-ing, you can Unbundle the cluster and save the timestamp and data-value into the required channel (different channel for every instrument) of a TDMS file.
(Important: NEVER use 2 Event structures in the same top level "main" VI!)

  • DNG Profile Editor not working with new Profiles from LR 3.6?

I'm noticing that DNG Profile Editor is not really able to work with profiles from newly supported cameras, like the X10. Apparently the profile spec has been updated. Has DNG Profile Editor been abandoned or will it be updated to work with the new spec? I really hope it is!

Thanks.  I am looking forward to editing the v4 profiles for the D700 - I just want to change a few colors in the existing profiles.  I think the existing v4 profiles do an excellent job of matching the Nikon colors, but I don't like a few of the Nikon colors.  Some colors have too much Red, but Red is too Orange.
I have selected a number of images that have colors I want to change.  I selected the Camera Neutral (v0) and Camera Portrait (v0) and using the latest DNG Profile Editor I select the 18 colors from the Color Checker Chart.  I then use the images that have the colors I want to change and determine which of the 18 points I selected from the Color Checker are close.  I then edit those points - only 6 points.  I only need to change the Hue by 5 units or less.  I don't change any of the other selected points of the Color Checker, but feel that by selecting them I locked in the exisiting colors.  Hope this is a good aproach.
I wish Nikon would do something equivalent to the DNG Profile Editor for their Picture Control profiles so they could be edited and loaded into the camera.

  • T61 & Bluetooth missing AVRCP Profile

I'm running Windows 7 on a T61 (type 6459) & ThinkPad Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate.  Driver version 6.2.0.9000.
Problem is the driver seems to be missing AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile).  Basically I cannot control playback functionality of bluetooth devices from my computer.  If I take the same devices and put them on older ThinkPad R50 also running Windows 7, the profile is there.
I can only infer a few things:
    1)  This is a 64-bit edition of Windows 7, perhaps the 64-bit bluetooth driver/stack is missing features the 32-bit version has
    2)  This is a different ThinkPad Bluetooth chip than what is in the R50, perhaps the driver features are not bound correctly to the newer hardware
    3)  Another Dell computer with a Rocketfish Bluetooth 2.1+EDR USB adapter (also a broadcom Chip, like the thinkpad) has AVCRP in the 64-bit Windows 7 driver.
    Any thoughts?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I fixed the problem by installing the Bluetooth driver from the T400 series, v6.2.0.9600.
What doesn't make any sense to me is why isn't this driver released for the R/T series?  According to the release notes, v6.2.0.9600 is the first version that supports Windows 7:
    Version 6.2.0.9600
(New) Added support for Windows 7 32-bit, 64-bit.
    Version 6.2.0.7900
[Important] Ended support for the following models.
    ThinkPad R60, R60e, R61, R61e, R61i
    ThinkPad T60, T60p, T61, T61p
    ThinkPad X60, X60s, X60 Tablet, X61, X61s, X61 Tablet
    ThinkPad Z60m, Z60t, Z61e, Z61m, Z61p, Z61t
    ThinkPad Reserve Edition
    Note:
For those models, use the old version, 6.1.0.5100, of this package
Lenovo supports Windows 7 on most of those models.  Why does Lenovo kill "enhanced" bluetooth support for those models under Windows 7?  It makes no sense to fully support older ThinkPads with offical WIn7 drivers for every other component except Bluetooth (and the 4-in-1 Memory Card reader, which is another gripe).  It's also not optimal for Lenovo to recommend Win7 users to download a driver package that wasn't created with Win7 in mind; especially when the appropriate drivers exist.
