Controlling the sequence of an iPod slideshow using Elements

I'm trying to control the order in which photos are shown in an iPod slideshow (that I'm displaying on a TV screen)
I've been asking how to do this in some iPod forums, and someone suggested (without many specifics) that I could somehow set it up in Elements and then export it to the iPod.
If you know how to do this or can point me to a post, article, etc that gives an explanation, I would really appreciate it! Otherwise, it's all trial and error.

Doesn't it just show files in filename order?

Hi Ramidi,
There is something called message split on adapter engine but it won't guarantee a sequence of adapter calls.

Values in a map are ordered randomly, you can't predict the order.

Controlling the sequence of Actions in PA 40?

dear experts,
can we control the sequence of actions executed thro PA 40?
for example , we have the following sequence actions in a client scenario
1. Hiring ( prioritised as 1)
2.probation( prioritised as 2)
3.confirmation( prioritised as 3)
4.change of salary( prioritised as 4)
5.transfer( prioritised as 5)
6.deputation( prioritised as 6)
7.separation (priotirises as 7)
Actually, SAP allows you to run change of salary after probation without confirmation
it allows you to run separation action after change of salary without transfer or deputation in between,
By prioritising actions customisation, system only throws a warning and allows the user to execute any actions after any other action except Hiring action ( sequence no 1)
can we prevent the system to prevent this ,by doing customistion , but without going for any development like hardcoding of sequence

as far as i know there is no such customization.
as such the sequence of actions depend on the clients.
hence they are left independent of each other.
there is no set standard or sequence of actions.
like a person can be hired today can be transferred tomorrow.
for some other person hired today for some reason terminated tomorrow.
one person hired to day next action can be cahnge in pay.
hence i dont beleive waht you are asking for is possible.

How can I control the order of iDVD menu items using the Arrow keys?

I have a submenu screen containing 10 selectable buttons plus the Return Arrow button. I have ordered all the slideshows in the correct order in the DVD map. However, when I run the program, the arrow keys jump the selection focus in an apparently random sequence. How can I control the order of the selection focus?
I'm using iDVD v 7.1.2

There is one thing You might miss in iDVD - So do I - the ability to re-arrange in the DVD map (block diagram)
The order things will be pplayed or addrssed is same as the order each item is introduced into iDVD.
To my knowledge ther is no way around this.

I just want to ask if how can i control the clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation of a stepper motor using NI PXI 7330 module. all i can do is the counter-clockwise rotation using the example vi (Simple one-axis move.vi) found in the examples of LabView 2009.

what type of limit switch sensor are you using and how did you wire itß What are your MAX settings regarding the limit switches?

I am using two reed switch for the reverse and forward limit. I wired the signal wire of the reed switch to the limit ports(forward and reverse Limit) and its ground to the digital ground of the UMI-7764.

Control the sequence of invocation of Partner Links in SOA11g

I have a BPEL11g process where i am invoking multiple partner links sequentially from my bpel.
Through invoking the partner links i am inserting records in oracle base tables.
The invocation sequence is: PartnerLink1 and then PartnerLink2.
First i invoke partner link1 (web service invoke to another deployed bpel process(db insert)) and inserted records in location table which has foreign key relationship with order_release table.
Then i invoke partner link2 (adapter service:db insert) and inserted records in order_release which has dependency on location table. The second insertion needs first insertion to be successful.
Issue:+ The second invocations takes place to insert record into order_release table before the first invocation of partner link gets completed.
So getting error that corresponding record is not present in location table as it is yet to commit the new record.
Plz Suggest:+ How to stop the invocation of partner link2 to take place before invocation of parnerlink1 gets completed.
a. Tweaking the threads or b. using some partner link property, how i can succeed in correcting the sequence of invocation?

How can I control the FAQ title with CSS when using the Ajax effect

I am calling the FAQ module with the Ajax effect.
I would like to set different states with CSS to the title;
I have tried to use :hover, :active and :focus on the div.
It would be nice with a different styling when the item is "open"
(I know there is a problem with the stacking, but I posted that in another thread)

How control the sequence in forms

hi all,
i have id column in the form which has to generate the sequence number automatically,i have created the sequence in the database and assigned it and is working fine.
But the problem is that either we save the record or not the sequence is generating.so the as soon as we get in to insert mode the number is generated.
i need the sequence to be generated only when i save the record.
can anyone could help out with the situation.

i have already tried it out ,but couldn't get the result.
our problem is that i'm are not able to restrict the sequence, if i'm not saving the record.i have done it in when-validate-item of the previous naviagtion item so that the column on which the sequence is generated can be skipped and sequence is generated automatically.

Control the activity flow in thread T1 using thread T2

Hi, im asking this question because i have two threads, one running at background, one at foreground directly interacting with users. the two should also intereact with each other, and perform correct actions depending on the command/request received from the other. for instance,

    }these are just sample code, may have errors, but the logic i suppose is clear. basically users interact with foreground thread, and they can control the running of background thread by typing command, r and s. 's' signal stop, 'r' signal continue.
at present i managed to stop the background thread - strictly not stopping it, but stop goin into the 'while' loop - once user key in 's'; but then if i key in 'r', the program does nothing. while what i want the system to do is to resume the execution of 'while'. i tried to replace the line A to
_bgThread.signalContinue();
_bgThread.run();and it does re-run, but then i cannot control the thread no more. ie, it doesnt stop upon command 's' anymore.
how can i fix this please, any hints? thanks very much in advance!

when the background thread exits the while loop, the thread stops and exits.
try this, it works, but obviously will need to be customized for what you want to do. It should give you an idea though.

I have two questions. How do I burn a DVD from a slideshow created in IPhoto without using IDVD which is no longer available?!! And is there any way to control the automatic zooming in my slideshow?

I know IMac messed up by no longer offering IDVD OR ILIFE on their new computers. Yes I too am mad I spent the money. But does anyone have a solution on how to work with the limited programs I did get? Or what programs do you suggest I purchase to be able to do something as simple as burn a slidewshow on a DVD!!!! I already purchases Xilisoft DVD which does not allow for photos only videos. I want to use both! I have had my new mac less than a year. Can I still return it?

HT4623 I changed my Apple ID email on my iPad and now whenever it asks me for the pass on my iPods it uses the wrong eMail. What do I do????

Ahhhh! I changed the Apple ID for my iTunes account because I don't really use that email anymore. When I did all was well until my iPod 5 started to ask for the password using a pop up which is normal. But when I typed in the password I realized that it didn't have the right email. What should I do to fix it?

Maybe:
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.

Monitoring and controlling the Tag values of Logix 5000 using Labview while using RSLogix 5000 to program the PLC

I want to know how to change the input bits or tags of a PLC which is programmed using RSlogix 5000. But I need to use Labview to monitor the input bits ( like in Digitial Input bits) and then be able to change the BITS while the PLC runs and the PLC should be able to detect the change in input bits and act accordingly. The programming is done using ladder logic and its done in RSLogix 5000 and dumped into PLC using RSLogix.

Once you have the OPC server up and running the best way to communicate with is is through the Datalogging and Supervisory Control module for LabVIEW. The DSC module allows you to bind shared variables to items on your OPC server. Then you could just read from or write to these shared variables to access the data on this OPC server. If you don't want to get this module you could also just use datasocket to read/write from an OPC server. The URL you would use in data socket would look something like "opc://localhost/{your opc item's address}".
