Controlling the window of a projector

Is there a way for me to prevent the ability of a user
resizing a projector window the way JavaScript can, as well as
remove the empty scrollbar wells?

  • Controlling the Windows cursor?

    Hi,
    I have a motion capture system, which I can read coordinates of markers from using LabVIEW 2009. I'd like to use that to control the Windows cursor (for a bit of fun). I've had a quick play with ActiveX and .NET, but I am no expert. How should best proceed?
    Would LabVIEW need to provide coordinates to every application opened? For example Word, Excel etc., or would writing coordinates to the windows cursor be suficient?
    In the absence of a motion capture system, a test program that records and plays back the movements of a mouse would be great! .. anyone? :-)

  • How can I control the window size of my output?

    Hi,
    I'm drawing a blank... How do I control the size of the window that my project is viewed in? Right now, it's the entire browser window.
    Thanks,
    Janice

    Hi,
    From your post, I assume you are creating WebHelp output.
    You  need to create a window for the help in the Project Set-up pod. Then,  you need to make sure you call the output so that the window is used.  See http://www.grainge.org/pages/authoring/calling_webhelp/calling_webhelp.htm.  This article on Peter's site give you an overview over the  possibilities of calling context sensitivive webhelp and also tells you  how to specify the needed window. Also, the installation directory of  RoboHelp 8 contains a directory called CSH API. In there are example  API's your developer can use to call the help.

  • How to control the window size of default message error

    I have a form with many fields. (inputText)
    These fields are marked with tag required="true"
    When the user try to submit the form, the adf faces show a validation window displaying the label of the inputTexts and one message like this "This field are required".
    The problem is that i have an inputText that have a large label and the window is showing with scrollbars and the layout is not good.
    How can i control the layout of this default window ?
    Thanks

    At the moment I don't believe this to be fixable. From (maybe limited) investigation, we've been unable to discover a skin class to fix this.

  • How can I control the windows behavior when the user hits "Windows key +d"?

    Hi,
    I have an application with 2 top-level windows. Both windows may be open at the same time. One window is a win32 window, and the other is a wpf window. When both windows are open, the wpf window should always be before the win32 window. When the user hits
    "Windows key +d" twice (show desktop and restore all windows), the windows are occasionally restored in a different order.
    How can I force the wpf window to always be before the win32 window?
    Which Windows messages/events are sent when the desktop is restored?
    Yoel

    Hi,
    I tried set the Topmost property on the Wpf window. It didn't help - for some reason, the win32 window still get in front of the Wpf window.
    I was able to get some win32 messages that change the win32 window position. I tried then to bring the Wpf window to the front (using SetActiveWindow, SetForegroundWindow, SetWindowPos) but i does not work as expected.

  • Popup image works fine but how to control the window size

    Hello folks,
    I use
    <img title="Click to pop up large image" src="#OWNER#.view_my_file_form?p_file=#IMGID#" width="40" height="30" />
    to popup a image window. It works just fine. How can I set the popup image window size? The window is too big but the image is too samll.
    Many thanks.
    Mickey

    The popupURL function is defined as
    function popupURL(url)
    w = open(url,"winLov","Scrollbars=1,resizable=1,width=800,height=600");
    if (w.opener == null) w.opener = self;
    w.focus();
    If 800x600 is too big for you, write your own mypopupURL function with whatever size you want

  • How to post the data to a new window and control the new window's property?

    When we submit the form data to another page, we usually do the following:
    <form action="display.jsp" method="post"> will submit the form data and open
    display.jsp in the current browser
    <form action="display.jsp" method="post" target="_blank"> will submit the form data
    and open display.jsp in a new browser
    Now, what I want is to open display.jsp in a new browser, but control the window's size,
    and disable the status bar, title bar, and address bar of a new browser.
    If I do this, it can only open a html page, but not post the data to display.jsp.
    window.open('display.jsp', "newWin", "scrollbars=0,menubar=0,toolbar=0,location=0,status=0");
    any ideas? thanks!!

    <html>
    <head>
    </head>
    <script language="JavaScript">
        function doSubmit() {
           displayWindow = window.open('', "newWin", "scrollbars=0,menubar=0,toolbar=0,location=0,status=0");
           document.submitForm.submit();
    </script>
    <body>
    <form name="submitForm" action="display.jsp" method="post" target="newWin">
      <input type="text" name="param1"><br>
      <INPUT TYPE="button" NAME="button" Value="Click" onClick="doSubmit()">
    </form>
    </body>

  • Is it possible to controll the positioning of a new window when someone clicks  one of my links

    I was wondering if it was possible to control the positoning of a new window that pops up  when someone clicks one of my site document links on my dreamweaver site. When a link is clicked and the new window pops up, I'd like to control the window size and positioning of the new window. Is this possible without having to use a tooltip or other option?

    Some browsers will display pop-up windows in the parent window, some will open them in a new tab or new window.  I'm afraid there is nothing you can do about end user settings.

  • Where is the window border stored?

    If you open a finder or system prefs window, or even the top of an app like firefox,
    you have that ugly gray border where the search bar and window-resize buttons are.
    I just want to know where the resource for it is.
    I know it should be in disk Library or Core but I don't really know where to find it.
    I have 10.8 not that it matters.
    If it's just an image resource then I only want to darken it, that's all.
    I assume I'll get no help but I just want to try anyway.

    Hi,
    The header/title bar as you call it will be inside the app package for third party apps like Firefox.
    Mine in Firefox is actually themed and not grey.
    Similarly Apple Apps will have a NIB item that controls the windowing and title bars.
    I would expect as you suggest that these will be in Hard Drive Name/System/Library/Core Services somewhere.
    But it is just as likely they are stored in one of the invisible folders

  • A free way to control a windows PC from a Mac

    Hi all,
    My folks live a few hundred miles away, and I often need to help them with something on their Windows laptop. (Don't worry - their next machine will definitely be a Mac, now that they have played with my iMac!)
    I would like to be able to remotely control their machine from my Mac (similar to how this is achieved where I work using WinVNC)
    Ideally this software would be free, or a few dollars. Again, needs to be able to install on the Mac to control the windows PC. It will never need to operate in the other direction (i.e. they won't need to control my machine!)
    Can anyone help? I would be v grateful for the saved 'over the phone' support, and my parents would definitely appreciate it!!!
    Cheers, Chris

    The PC must be running Windows XP or Vista, and have Remote Assistance turned on. See:
    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/mobility/getstarted/remoteintro.mspx
    In their router (if any), port 3389 will need to be open and forwarded to the PC's internal IP address. See:

  • Can you control the OS Volume from Flash

    hi guys, Can you control the master windows OS volume from
    within flash.
    My understanding is that within the soundobject.volume, 100
    mean 100% of the current windows volume setting.
    Can control the windows setting seperatly as well (the same
    way you could/can in Director)?
    Rich

    Yes - the JavaScript that's in export.js was rolled into inline code in the Java jar files sometime during version 11.5.
    It's no longer customizable.
    An option is to use HTTP Filter on your Java Web App to modify the outgoing JavaScript instream, but that's never a pretty solution.
    Sincerely,

  • How does one use JavaScript with the Windows Media Player Plugin?

    Hi there.
    According to this old [http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd564570%28v=VS.85%29.aspx MSDN Article] it is possible to control the windows media player plugin using javascript.
    It provides a series of objects off the object that should perform certain funtions, such as play stop and seek.
    It states very clearly in the article that some are not supported; however, none of them seem to be working with the latest version(s?) of Firefox.
    I have Firefox 5 installed currently and have not tested in any other version, so I'm not sure when it stopped working.
    The video does load and will display properly -- the ability to control it through javascript however, does not work.
    i.e.:
    var mplay = document.getElementById('myplayer');
    mplay.controls.play(); // mplay.controls is undefined
    This same code works in Internet Explorer.

    You need to place the URL in a data attribute for Firefox.
    <pre><nowiki>document.write(' <OBJECT id="Player" data="http://87.117.197.189:16229" width="320" height="45" type="application/x-ms-wmp">');
    document.write(' <param name="AudioStream" value="true">');
    document.write(' <param name="Enabled" value="True">');
    document.write(' <param name="ClickToPlay" value="false">');
    document.write(' <param name="BufferingTime" value="5">');
    document.write(' <param name="ShowDisplay" value="False">');
    document.write(' <param name="Volume" value="70">');
    document.write(' <param name="autoStart" value="true">');
    document.write(' </OBJECT>');</nowiki></pre>

  • Can I connect an iPad in such a manner to a Windows based PC so that all that I write on the iPad, is immediately displayed on the Windows PC and on a screen by using a data projector?

    Can I connect an iPad in such a manner to a Windows based PC so that all that I write on the iPad, is immediately displayed on the Windows PC and on a screen by using a data projector?

    In technical support, sometimes you have to make educated guesses. I'm sorry that you were offended.
    iTunes does prompt when it is going to erase a device, and the message is clear.
    She said in her message that she was able to successfully sync the old ipad. This indicated to me that itunes wiping the data was not an issue, because either it had been setup at the apple store (in which case it doesn't actually wipe the ipad despite saying it will*) (*based on a single case I saw), or because the itunes media folder was migrated.
    Furthermore, my solution was to tell her how to backup her ipad (by either doing it manually, or as a last resort, by deleting the corrupt backup -- that she couldn't access anyway.)
    I got that last part of the instructions from the "Taking Control of your iphone" book which I found samples of when I did a google search for "corrupted backup itunes".
    She marked this as a solution, so it worked for her.

  • Remotely control the ITunes on Windows 7 64 bit PC with the new IPad

    With the latest version of ITunes for both Win7 and the new IPad, I'm only able to use the new IPad to remotely control the ITunes on Windows 7 64 bit PC through wired connection  ( ethernet cable ) to the wireless router. As soon as I connect my PC through wireless connection, the new IPad can not find my libraries.
    Is this a known issue or am I missing some settings?
    Thanks,

  • QuickTime 10.1 does not seem to be compatible with OSX Lion  - clicking on the displayed file window switches to another displayed app, doesn't play or control the video.

    If I open a movie file (appears to be any type - .mov, m4v, mv4) it displays on the desktop, but when clicked, the Mac reverts to another open application (immediately UNDER to point of the mouse click) and not the displayed movie file.  It appears the screen mapping is flawed...
    Anyone else have this problem? (does not appear to be a problem with QT7)  Running OSX Lion 10.7.3 and QT Player 10.1 (501.8) - all most current as far as I can tell...

      Yes, same problem. The active clickable area appears to be shifted down and to the right as if it is the shadow mask (to make it look like layers in the display) that is responding. Means you can't move the control palette to the top of the window (to not block security video with time track at bottom) or even close the window. The X in the bubble appears when moused over but the click goes through it.
      Most obvious if you open more than one movie at a time and they cascade. You can't get at the ones underneath until a few down the stack and it gets an upper wrong one.
      Who's testing these things?
      For comparison testing to recreate problem: Mac Pro (System Information has also been dumbed down from System Profiler, push System Report for the useful stuff) with an ATI Radeon HD 5770 driving two displays.
       Also viewing desktop of another computer on the network is slower and, for instance in World of Warcraft, the hand pointer flickers.
      And finder windows can't be narrowed as much any more to show only a list of file names for drag and drop sorting.
      Was hoping that by 10.7.3, it would be safe to jump, since several posts told me how to Terminal > networksetup -setv6off Ethernet to fix iTunes streaming to expresses and other dumb bugs.
