Controlling which folders Reader searches

Hi:
I'm having an issue with my Adobe Reader for my Android tablet. I have the Zinio app installed on my divice, and as such, have downloaded many magazines. The magazines arrive on my divice as individual pdf files for each page which are password protected and named page101.pdf or page27.pdf as an example. Subsequently, I have HUNDREDS of pdf files on my divice, none of which are able to be viewed in Reader due to the password protection - they can only be viewed in Zinio.
As a result of the inundation of pdf files, it is now nearly impossible to find the pdf files I normally use for my job because they are lost in a sea of unreadable pdf files. To solve this issue, I would like to have Reader NOT search the folder(s) where Zino places the magazine pdfs.
So ...
Does Reader have the functionality to control which folders it searches and displays in the "Documents" section?
If not, can this functionality be added to Reader for Android? Otherwise, the inundation of pdf documents all but eliminates Reader as a viable product on my divice. I'm assuming that many people are now discovering this issue.

Go into the Gmail web portal and open Settings. Go to Labels tab and set it to not show those folders in IMAP.

I am not aware of any such fix. If you are concerned, apply a screen protector.

Controlling which email address is used for group members?

Howdy Folks,
Is there a way to control which email address is used for contacts that you have put into a group in Address Book?
For example, say John Smith is a member of an Address Book group I have created. John's Address Book entry contains two email addresses for him, one for work and one for home.
When I send an email to the group I want to have it sent to John's work email address.
I have experimented by editing the entry and making sure the desired address is the first one listed for the individual in question, but that doesn't do the trick.

Launch Address Book, choose Help > Address Book Help and type "group addresses" in the search box. Read the article titled "Selecting which addresses to use for members of a group". Does that solve your problem?

Is there a way to control which processes should run or not ?

I have a mac with Snow Leopard and was wondering if there was an app or some other way to control which processes run at startup and which dont etc ? I made a new user account and logged in and noticed that it ran like brand new. It loaded up faster and smoother than my normal account. I looked at the processes running and noticed that this new account loads up like a 4th of the processes my main account runs at startup . How can i make my main account run the same processes only so it will run as smooth and fast ? is there an app for this ? thanks (an app that also tells me what each process is for will help too so i can close the processes that i dont need and so that i dont have to close them every time i reboot, but that it will also stop them from automatically loading)

most of the apps that would run at login (which btw is different from startup) automatically are things in the login items. there may be a few items in homedirectory/library/lauchagents but that would be the only place. other than that what runs at login on one account will run on the other. note however, that if you remove any launchdaemons from homedirectory/library/lauchagents the apps that made them may not work properly depending on what those launch daemons do.
what 50 other processes are you referring to that you see on your main account? most of the stuff you see in the activity monitor are system processes that should not be removed. normally they hardly consume any CPU or RAM.

For this goto SE11 and create a ZFECOD Search help for that field. In Defination Tab enter table name
QMFE and Enter Z_F4_FECOD_EXIT in Search help Exit.
Then create a FM in SE37 as Z_F4_FECOD_EXIT under a FG. And then write code as follows for example:

How do I exclude a folder in the 'Root Folders for Search (csv)' field?

Problem:
I have a folder structure as shown below.
A

|-----d
|-----more folders may be added later.
I have three folders b,c and d under 'folder A'.More folders may be added later on.
How can I specify all folders under 'folder A' except 'folder b' in the field 'Folders for Search (Scope = FOLDER) (csv):' ?
Scenario:
I need this to create a search option set for 'folder A'.But this should not be applicable to 'folder b'.How can I specify this in the 'Root Folders for Search (Scope = FOLDER) (csv):' in the option set?

Adobe Reader Search function fails

@@I'm using Adobe Reader Version 11.0.10 under Windows 7 64-Bit SP1 with all actual updates. When i try to search any word or Phrase of contained in the text of a specific PDF File, then the search Fails. It does not come up with the search item i have keyed in. I did not misspell the search item and it is definitely contained in the text, but the search function does not find it. i am absolutely surethat the search item is in text Format and it is contained in the PDF file, because i can Access and search it when i open this PDF file on an iPad for instance. there it works, but not in my Windows envioenment.
I guess that this problem will not be completely new for you, because other users are discussing this Problem in the Internet as well.
Can you help me with an answer and hopefully with a recommendation on how to overcome this Problem.

So, in case i made no mistake (?), then you can access the PDF file we
are talking about when you follow this link here:

This PDF file contains a description of an olympus camera. When you open
this PDF file please go to page 6.
Directly under the picture on top of the page (which shows a dark blue
car driving from left to right) you can read the word "Mitziehmodus"
(without parantheses). This german word is one of those search items
which the PDF search function of my PDF reader installation does not
find. There are many other words the search function does not find as
well, but let us use this word (Mitziehmodus) as an example to
demonstrate the malfunction as i experience it on my pc.
Meanwhile i have installed a completely new windows-system 7 from
scratch. The PDF reader (11.0.10) is currently the only installed
software. I made this windows 7 installation only to assure that there
is no other software eventually influencing the search function. But the
search function fails again when searching for this word "Mitziehmodus".
One remark still to your statements concerning accented characters.
Character like ä, ö, ü or ß are quite normal characters in writing
german language text. But these characters can not be found also! In
general it does not make much sense to serach for a single character (at
least in my understanding). Searching for ä or ö or ü results in finding
something completely meaningless. But this behaviour shows additionally
that there is something wrong with the search function as it ist
implemented in Adobe Reader.
In general i am convinced that this PDF file will be correct ,
because i can search any search item and find correct search results
when i access this file on my iPad regardless in what so ever combination.
i hope that you can access the problem PDF file following the link i
sent you above.
And i would be happy wehen you could find thze reason for my search
problems.

I store my PSD files adjacent to the original RAW file from which it was derived.
If I open the file folder and double click on that PSD file, it opens in CS6. But,if I use Bridge (CS6) to navigate to and open the same file, it first opens Photoshop CS5 and then opens that PSD file in CS5.
How can I control which Photoshop will open a file I select when opening it through Bridge?.

Interesting, but it doesn't give a clue what I'm supposed to do. No Photoshop ducuments listed.
Look at the PSD file on the location Curt provided and search for Photoshop Document. Next to it ideally should show Adobe Photoshop CS6 if you have Bridge CS6 open. Click on it to provide the fly out menu and choose the correct Photoshop from the list.
But probably something went wrong with your install. By default Bridge chooses the latest version of PS to open its file in.
Maybe a reset of the preferences might also help you. Can you provide more details about OS version etc.
And do you have a good reason for keeping your Raw and finished files in the same location. Personally I keep them apart and use a proper file name convention (yyyymmdd and details) so I can easily search for the DNG files in my archive if I needed them but I don't make mistakes in opening the wrong one

The only way to prevent a device from showing your photo stream photos is to either go to Settings>iCloud and turn off photo stream on the device or to not share the same iCloud account with the device. If you want to turn off photo stream on your son's iPod you can then go to Settings>General>Restrictions, set a restrictions passcode, then go to Accounts (at the bottom) and set to Don't Allow Changes. This will prevent him from changing this setting without the passcode. (If you do this, be sure to write down the restrictions passcode. If you ever lose it, the only way to remove it from the device is to restore it as a new device, without using the backup, losing all data and start over.)

Screen with table control which works like SM30

Hello,
I have a screen with some parameters in order to obtain some records from
a custom table. In the same screen I must insert a table control which
shows the extracted records.
This table control has to work exactly like transaction SM30, that is the
user can modify, insert, delete or copy a record.
Does anybody know if exists a way (or method) to include this transaction
in the table control ? Or I have to use custom control to obtain this ?
N.B. the user wants a screen with parameter and table control (or custom control)
and not a call function to transaction sm30.

thanks for your interest; no it's not a reason of authorization, but simply
the user wants to modify a report that actually works with some parameters
at the top of the screen and a customer control which shows an Alv_grid
with the extracted record;
Now the user needs to modify this records (insert and delete) directly from
this list. So I don't know if there's a way to obtain this goal without replace
the custom control with a table control.
The screen look like this:

Custom Contr. with ALV_grid (for extracted record)

Accordion Menu - need to control which panel opens

I have an accordion menu that works fine but when I put it
into action
on the site, I realized that I needed the accordion to open
up a
different section on each new page.
Since I have the accordion menu in an SSI (server side
include) I don't
want to have a different spry asset for each page. However, I
think
setting a session variable would work to control which
section is opened.
Anyone done this? What would it look like?

Use *Media Manager* (under the File menu bar item) to consolidate your project to a single folder.
Choose to copy the media and save it onto an external drive.
It's pretty much self explanatorty how it works but if you need help, the User manual has a detailed section on the Media Manager.
