Controlling zoom with scroll effect

I really like the scrolling zoom effect on this site (first scroll effect): http://www.discovershadow.com
I would love to see something similar included in muse.
That is all.

Okay...did that too.  We'll see.  I appreciate your help.
Having a major printing problem though.  Looks like I am going to be doing a lot of testing soon because the presents for my Canon iP6700D don't work like they did two days ago.  Canon has a new driver which I believe is the problem.  Maybe I can get back to the other one that worked like a charm.  -- Sandy

As I can't pin it, I keep it on top of the page with scroll effect 0.
It collapse, shows the menu buttons but doesn't close back once it reaches the anchorpoint.

Muse won't let you, at least not that I know of. You could find the class in the code that muse gives it position: fixed…I think. You could paste it into the head area of your page properties to override the class. I believe something like this would give you persistent nav bar, pinned at the very top, on mobile:
    #youmuseclass {position: fixed;}
I wouldn't use any parallax on mobile either, the performance is terrible.

  • Need help with scroll effects for horizontally + vertically scrolling website

    Hi,
I recently came across a website that uses both horizontal and vertical scrolling where 1 scroll = full browser length move to the next section (as opposed to several rotations in a continuous motion of the mouse ball like the majority of websites). Please see the example here because I'm probably not explaining this very well : A Chocolate Bar, Restaurant and Shop for Chocolates, Fondue, Gift Boxes, and More | Max Brenner (http://maxbrenner.com).
I'm wondering if this effect is something that can be done in Muse and if so, how to do it. It's something I'm seeing more and more and almost behaves like a slideshow that can be controlled by scrolling.
    Thank you!
    Michele

    Hi Michele,
I am afraid that this is not possible out of the box at this stage, I will recommend that you post this on the ideas section over here, Ideas for features in Adobe Muse
You can, in the mean time, use some CSS to disable the scroll bar, preventing the partial scrolling of the page and disabling the mouse wheel scrolling as well, leaving behind only your navigation to scroll through the page.

  • Photoshop 5 choppy during zoom with scroll wheel

So after a agonizing weekend of talking to Adobe suport to get photoshop installed because they sent me the wrong version and horrible customer service (thanks adobe), I finally get to start using photoshop and it's just buggy as heck. Wierd jerky motions and a lot of spinning wheels. I have a macbook pro early 2010 3.06 processor with 6gb of ram on os x 10.6.8.
Well the photoshop is choppy and horrible when using the scroll wheel to zoom. I opened the same document in CS4 and it was fine smoothly scrolling in and out as slow or fast as I wanted. CS5 is jerky zooming 20% every time I move my finger on the mouse.  It is driving me crazy!@!
I adjusted all of the openGL setting, memory, etc, etc and nothing helps. I can't imagine that photoshop would be worse when it is supposidly an "upgrade", but I'm so pissed off that I might just go back ot CS4 until I get this figured out.
Another Adobe product that is buggy as heck, but this has been around for almost a year, so please tell me how to fix it. Is there an update i don't kow about or SOMETHING?!?!
I did a search, but when i foudn someone with the same issue, it was not answered...
Adobe, you need to make better products.

It's not performance, it's a missing feature and adjustments (if I can get it to work right) I need to have the selection tool active and be able to zoom wiht the scroll wheel! (even if the srolling is choppy) I need it to zoom in and out, with the scroll wheel, while the select tool is active!
The scrubby zoom is smooth and it's nice, but the choppy scroll wheel zoom and no zoom when the select tool is active are deal breakers for this software! You guys try to cram as much stuff in the program as possible, but if you take things away, it pissed people off. If there is a way to to scroll zoom on while i have the select tool down, then tell me.

  • Control music with scroll

Im trying to control the play and pause of an HTML embedded music player to the scroll of the browser. I have a one page website with a continual scroll, I want a certain song to play with a certain Rectangle as it comes onto screen. Each rectangle has its own unique song without having to press any buttons.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to go about this? Or if it is even possible?

  • Help with image scrolling effect muse

Hi, I am trying to recreate this effect used on the pencil website (link is below).
I was wondering if this possible with the use of muse scrolling effects in addition with maybe edge animate?
I can create a similar animation and export it either as a movie or a sequence of of PNG's, but I am still unsure as to how it was actually put together.
Is it a movie wich runs at different pay head markers by way of java script or is a slideshow / edge animate placed in a muse file which runs via key point markers in scroll effects menu in muse? The later would be my ideal way of doing it as I am not a coder so don't know too much javascript.
If anyone has any tips as to how to recreate this effect it would be very fuch appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance

  • Zoom with wheel

Is there any way to change the default scroll to zoom when using the mouse wheel? I couldn't find any options in prefs. Yes, I know I can use the ALT key to accomplish this with the wheel but I would prefer it if AI worked like every other Adobe program I use in this respect.
    Thanks!

    BUMP!!!
I thought these suites were supposed to be highly integrated... How can they be deemed so integrated when performing the same exact functions are performed using ever-so-different methods??  I am an avid Photoshop and Illustrator user and it is down right irritating when I go from one ap to the other and have to change up my shortcut methods.  It is like a mental kick in the brain everytime you want to do the SAME EXACT FUNCTION between applications.  It is like walking face first into a very clean sliding glass door... It is like dunking your donut into the ashtray that was too close to your coffee... ok I think you get the picture, it sucks.
You already give us the option to turn on or off the "Zoom with Scroll Wheel" in PS, why not in AI?  As in Photoshop, I personally would rather zoom than scroll vertically or horizontally with the wheel in Illustrator without the alt button thank you very much.  I can do the other with other shortcuts or just by panning with the space bar.
Give the user control of how they use the software please!  I mean come on... you have plenty of completely useless options to give us, like for instance we can turn off the blue color of the PS icon in the Photoshop toolbar and turn it into a gray icon (whoo hoo... now there's a useful tool).  It is like the engineers would rather spend any extra time hiding Easter eggs in the aps for us to find than spend more time giving us more useful options to better completely customize our aps.  I guess that I am asking too much.
What the heck is that option for the icon color mode for anyway?

  • Magic mouse zoom with ctrl

    Good day,
I am new with mac and I am trying to use the zoom with the magic mouse and the ctrl button, really not easy...
on excel/word: alt + cmd + scrolling up & down executes zooming in and out of the excel table (only).
but on the picture viewer/safari: ctrl + scrolling up & down executes zooming in and out of the complete screen (and not only the picture) without possibility to move the view (and this is possible only if the option is selected in preferences/accessibility/zoom: allow zoom with scrolling and selected button).
Would someone know how to activate the zooming with ctrl and mouse scrolling but only of the content of a window and not of the complete screen?
    Thank you in advance.
    Rodolphe

    Hello:
According to the guidance in system preferences>mouse double tapping with one finger does it.  I just tried it and it works here.
I also note the right clicking opens a menu.

  • Muse shifting scroll effect objects 20 px right when using anchors

I am using anchor navigation in a single page website.  My objects with scroll effects applied to them are aligned correctly within muse but shift 20 pixels right when i view the site in the browser.  any one else having this issue and how do you fix it.
    site rabobio.businesscatalyst.com

To somewhat deal with this problem i have taken the object with scroll effects on it and moved it 20 px left in muse to center it in browser.  i don't know why the shift is only occurring to abjects with scroll effects on them on pages where i use anchor navigation

  • Screenshots with Control-Zoom

I'm trying to take screenshots with control-zoom but everytime I try 'command-shift-3' it takes a picture of the whole desktop (zoomed out) or 'command-shift-4' it limits how small of a screen shot I can take. Basically I want to be able to zoom really close on whatever part of the screen then capture exactly what I'm seeing on the screen. I.E. zoom really close on someone's face and take a screen cap of it, pixels and all. Anyone get what I'm saying? Anyone know how I can do this?
    Thank you.

Thanks for the information about USB Overdrive. I hadn't heard of that one but will check it out.
I will include what I know from the manufacturer's websites in case anyone else is having similar problems. Kensington claims that Mouse Works, their driver software is fully supported in SL but, they have stopped development for it and they did not provide an answer to my question as to whether they were working on new driver software. I will say that all the functionality of Mouse Works is intact with the one exception of scroll-zooming.
Wacom informed me that they are aware of this problem and currently are working on a solution but did not provide a time frame as to when they may be releasing an update or a new software piece. So it would seem that while Wacom is concerned and working to resolve the issue, Kensington has chosen to abandon its customers which is a shame considering the quality and workmanship of their products.
For anyone following this thread I will keep it updated as I learn new information but as it stands now, it seems that scroll-zooming with Kensington's Expert Mouse trackball is vapor and won't return. I'm pinning my hopes on Wacom and while this would still be cumbersome it will be less so than having a fourth input device on my desk (trackball, tablet, 3Dconnexion and Mighty Mouse being the fourth).

Hi, i am having an issue with a basic motion scroll effect.
I already watched and read every tutorial out there regarding this topic and even tried the adobe chat support, but the guy on the other end of the line disconnected me…, probably he didn't understand what i wanted from him because english is not my native language, so a will try to be very, very clear about this one..
please note, that i am new to muse, this is my first project ever.
    my idea is as following:
when the customer comes to our companies site, he just sees our logo on a white Background. the logo consists of, say, four elements. when the customer scrolls down, the logo starts to disassamble: first the first part of the logo flies out the left side of the site, then the second part of the logo vanishes down, then the third part of the logo flies to the right, then the fourth part of the logo flies to the top and out of the customers view. given what i have seen, it is possible to do that….
    so…..
now i have the four parts of my logo imported as png files into muse and assembled them in design view to build our companies logo. I select every one of the four parts and go into the scroll effects tab left beside the layers tab. first i enter the same values for every one of the four parts: initial motion: 0x and 0x again for the left and right motion; key position ( t-handle) : 0px; final motion: 0x and 0x again for the left and right value.
now i hit "preview".: the logo is "pinned" at the correct position, i can scroll but the logo stays where it is. so far so good….
now i select all the four elements again and go to the scroll effecs tab. at "final motion", i click the down arrows and enter 1x. I hit Preview…
when i am scrolling down the WHOLE logo goes down…. so far so good.
NOW i want the first part of the logo to go down, THEN the second part to go left, THEN the third part to go up, THEN the fourth part to go right.
so i select ONLY the first part, go to the scroll motion tab, at "final motion" i click the left arrows, then i enter 1x.( the up-down value, i set to 0 again).. i hit Preview…
the first part of the logo goes left as soon as i start scrolling, the other three parts still go down at the same time…
NOW i want the second part of the logo to start moving, when the first part has left the scene, not at the same time as the first part.
SO I SELECT THE SECOND PART AND DRAG ITS T-HANDLE (KEY POSITION) DOWN TO, LETS SAY, 200PX. SO IT STARTS MOVING ONLY AFTER THE CUSTOMER HAS REACHED THAT POINT, RIGHT?
BUT WHEN I PREVIEW THAT ****, THE LOGO IS NOT TOGETHER ANYMORE, THE SECOND PART IS FLOATING ANYWHERE ELSE BUT WHERE IT SHOULD BE…..WTFF????
short: when i move the t handle, the initial position of the object changes. thats what i said to the adobe employee, but he said, that thats the expected behavior….
but if thats so, how can i have my four parts correctly together, so they form my logo, but with different t handles, so that they all start to move at different times??
Pleeease help me, i am dying of frustration here…..:( that behavior cant be right, right?
Thanks so much to everyone who actually reads this post and tries to help…….
    All the best,
    Niki Lapan

Thank you so much for helping,
But i really wonder how you did that. did you always switch between design view and preview view, then change the key position for 2px then switch back, to align the four letters? because i imagine that can get really frustrating, if you have a logo consisting of 58 parts instead of 4!:)
Anyway thank you very much for your time and effort!!!!

  • One more nugget: Chart zoom with the "Mouse Over" effect

    Hello all.
Just read my signature first, it might explain a lot. I do not intend to compete with Darren and I don't think this "nugget" (at least it supposed to be one) will amaze any of the LV veterans and this forum is rich of them. But maybe it will bring some new ideas to some of you or maybe it will be useful for some LV beginners (like me). It is very likely, my code will have some lapses, but please be gentle pointing that out to me. If you feel a need, you can always optimize the code and develope it further. Just don't forget to share!
    So back to the point.
I am developing a project using LV. In my program there is a waveform chart which has to show 4 plots. Depending on the length of the X Scale, it sometimes gets hard to see the plots clearly because of their density. So I decided that I need a tool, which would zoom the chart in. And this is what I have came up with after a few "Google" searches to check which part of the bike is already invented and also a bit of programming by myself.
Maybe you guys (at least the veterans) know the BetterVIEW Consulting LV example where they have implemented the Mouse Over effect. So a part of their example has been used in this tool and part of the credit must go to them. I thank them a lot
This tool uses a cluster and its property of visibility to show/hide the cluster depending on if the current position of the mouse cursor is in the desired range or not. The program also gets the image of the chart and returns the subset of the image. The subset is taken for the area arounf the mouse cursor. So if you move the mouse, the zoomed in area will also chage in response. After that, the subset of the image is zoomed in for better view.
The user might chage the zoom factor during the execution. Also it is possible to turn the zoom option On or Off if you don't wish to see it for the moment.
This is how the front panel looks like:
And this is the image of the block diagram (see the attached files for the vi, the VI Snippet tool distorts the code too much, so I haven't added it):
I haven't found anything the same in the forum. Yet I'm a newbie here and I don't have that much experience surfing it. If it wouldn't be something new (in the forum, not necessarily to some of you personally), just ignore the thread. I hope this was worth your time and your attention.
    Good coding

    Very nice Giedrius.
It takes guts to "step up to the chalk board" so I will do what i can to give you some ideas to think about. This is similar to the type of feedback I offer durring our in-house code reviews.
    1) The floating property nodes outside the loop are not sequenced by wires so they could execute after the loop starts. Sometimes this could cause weird errors. Seq with the error cluster.
    2) Property nodes can be re-sized so you can apply more than one property setting in the same call. Property node have to execute in the UI thread (which is single threaded) so using a single nodes will force a single context switch rather than one for each.
    3) Setting the same property repeatedly in a loop just burns CPU. THe Scale min for both X an Y can be moved outside the loop ?
    4) THe Wait Until Next ms" function does not get used in any of my code. It is not a way to get a fixed wait but rather a random wait. If you code completes 1 ms after the next multiple, the delay is double less 1 ms. If you have multiple loops using them and it f the delay for each are not unique prime numbers, then the "Wait until next ms multiple" is a good (cough cough) way of getting them all to wake up at the same time and fight for the CPU.
5)An Event Struture to monitor mouse enter/leave and mouse move (this would have to be a sepearte loop) is easier on the CPU than polling.
    6) Is that math in the case to handle the Chart position on the FP? If so then using the property nodes for the chart to find its postion will let you code adapt to GUI changes.
    7) Right to left wires are not well recieved.
    8) A Bundle by Name is prefered over a "Bundle" since it is self documenting. I know the Picture function so I can see that is the rectangle you are specifying but reader not famliar with that function would not be able to "READ" the code without poking at it.
    9) THe event structure would also help with setting the Zoom factor. Only poke it when you have to.
That is all that comes to mind at the moment.
    Again thank you!

I would be glad for the opportunity to customize a Premiere Elements 12 answer to your Premiere Elements 12 issue.
But, I want to make sure that we are together on the details. This is my understanding of what you have written. Please review and let me
know if I am misinterpreting anything that you have written.
You have a video created in Windows Movie Maker.
How did you output the video from Windows Movie Maker...wmv or mp4, what was the frame size and frame rate of that export?
Next you import that video into Premiere Elements 12 (can we assume that this is on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit?)
From what you wrote, you have applied a pan and zoom effect to your video in Premiere Elements.
Now you go to export the Premiere Elements 12 Timeline content with your video with the pan and zoom applied.
But, the pan and zoom effect is not seen in playback of the export.
Is all of the above correct so far?
If so....we are going to need some more details from you...
    a. What is the project preset that you or the project are setting to match the properties of the video coming from Movie maker? See Edit Menu/Project Settings/General and the readings for Editing Mode, Timebase, Frame Rate, and Pixel Aspect Ratio even if the fields look grayed out.
    b. Are you applying the pan and zoom effect with the Pan and Zoom Tool, fx Effects Presets, or keyframing the Scale (for Zoom) and
Position (for Pan) in the Motion Panel expanded?
    c. What are you selecting as your export in Publish+Share/. Please give details...are you using default settings or customizing the export
setting under the Advanced Button/Video Tab and Audio Tab of the preset selected?
I am suspecting some sort of mismatch of your project settings or some problems with working with the Pan and Zoom tool. I need
your answers to help me help you. If I have written anything that you do not understand, please let me know. I will re-write if necessary
so that we are in sync to resolve the issue.
    Thanks.
