Conv. based on the month - Need to display the output in quarterly basis.
Hi Gurus,
I need to display the output quarterly based on the month.
For example,
If the year is 2012 and month is between
01 to 03 i need to display it as 2012Q1
likewise 04 to 06 as 2012q2
and 07 to 09 as 2012q3
and 10 to 12 as 2012q4.
Please help me by providing sample codes. Please help yourself by writing the code and get back when you have a specific question.

To get the last 13 months in webi report .follow below approach
Assuming you have calendar Month object in the report.
convert your selected date into M/d/yy format . let's say you selected 12/18/13 , your variable should be 12/1/13
variable :
Selected Month =ToDate(FormatDate(useresponse("Date");"Mmm yyyy");"Mmm yyyy")
Flag for month =ToDate([CalMonth];"Mmm yyyy")<=[Selected Month]
Report filter =[Flag for month]+Previous(Self)
select the table you want to filter
add filter -> Report filter between 1 to 13.

Using the Portal Activity Report (PAR) will allow you to collect the following data: visited pages and iviews and who visited those pages and iviews.
the data will be collected and flushed to your Database.
The PAR has it's out of the box reports that you can use for your needs.
If you decided to use the Activity Data Collector (ADC) the data will be collected and saved to text based files on your operating system.
The ADC doesn't have an out of the box report system but it is able to collect more types of data and it is more configurable.

I have SSRS report with multi value parameter. I need to display the parameter selection values in a text box. I've more than 50 records in the multi value parameter list. I've included the code to display "All" if I choose "select
all" option otherwise it will show the selected values. But, I need to change the logic. I have to show only the 1st 5 records if I choose more than 5 records.
How can I implement this?
I have used the below code

Per my understanding that you want to always show the first values from the param country to a textbox when you have select more then five values from the dropdown list, if you checked "select all", textbox will display "All", if
you select <=5 amount of values. it will display the selected values, right?
I have tested on my local environment and that you can create an hide parameter(Param2) to display just the first five values from the Country and when you select more then five values from country you will get the Join(Parameters!Param2.Value,",")
to display.
Details information below for your reference:
Create an new DataSet2 which the Param2 will get the values from:
SELECT TOP (5) Country
FROM tablename
Create an new param2 and hide this parameter, Set the "Available values" and "Default values" by select the "Get the values from a query"(DataSet2)
You can also Specify first five value for the "Available values" and "Default values", thus you will not need to follow the step1 to create the dataset2
Modify the expression you have provided as below:
=iif(Parameters!Country.Count = Count(Fields!Country.Value, "DataSet1"),"All" ,iif(Parameters!Country.Count>5 ,Join(Parameters!Param2.Value,","),Join(Parameters!Country.Value,",")))

if u go throu debugging mode to the print program for the correponding script u will find this stucture will flow with values
pass the same to the script.
say for example.
RLVSDR40 is the standard print prog for this example
RLDRI is a struc where in we get TANUM ( transfer order no)
but when u go in debgg mode u will get the struc as XRLDRI in RLVSDR40.
so pass from the zprogram XRLDRI-TANUM to script.
u can able to print the values u require .
same logic try in urs.
try it it is possible.

A senior citizen needs some help.
ThanksSaving each image as different size - is it an option for you? I would save images with their name as: 20x30.png, 16x20.png etc etc.

I am running my report in background and displaying the confirm results on popup window and sending the results to printer,
but now i want to send the results page to printer then want to display the popup.
i have writen my popup perform after printer perform only but its not working...when i am clossing the popup or came back from that popup then only the results sending to printer...
How to report print to the printer immediately and display the popup?

Can I disable the LCD screen from displaying the Network Name or Password of my device? I feel that having this information readily available to any who can turn on my device is a security flaw.
I have change the network name and password and would like to secure that information .Worked with VZW tech support and finally found where you can disable or mask the display of the network name and password on the Jetpack LCD screen. You need to access the admin screen of your jetpack (http://my.jetpack/) . From there, navigate to Jetpack Settings --> Click on Wifi tab -- Click on the Wi-Fi Options link halfway down the page and it will show the two settings that control the display of network name and password.
As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words...here are screen shots showing how to get to these settings. ...
The LCD display will show ********* for the network name and password if the two checkboxes above are unchecked. I really think these settings should be disabled to be begin with.

Step 1, I created Answer-request, create .rtf file with Word and add the request name, Add bar chart and table, preview PDF is working fine with data, Upload this template to Answers, View Template from Answer is working fine with data.
Step 2, Answers – More Products > BI Publisher > My Folders > Create a new report > Edit > Data Model > New > Type: SQL Query > Data Source: Oracle BI EE > Query Builder > from SupplierSales assign Customer, Periods, Sales Facts (select Region, state, Year, Units Shipped) > Results > Save > Save
Click Layouts > New > enter Name ….. > Click Layouts > borrows .rtf file in Manage T file > Upload > Save > Click View
It is showing only the .rtf file without data. Why there is no data?
Please guide me to solve this issue.

Our scenario is this report is basically a dissconnected mode report... we are developing these reports for mobile clients.
We dint face this kind of issue while developing other reports.
