Conversation id of the bpel process

I have bpel process which is started by some other web service. Question related to how to set/retrieve conversation_id for thsi process
1. If A is calling B, then how can we set conversation_id of B in B process. Is it possible to change this conversation_is once this is set?
2. If 1 is not possible then what would be the best way to set converstaion_id of process B. Is it possible for B to sets it conversation_id before starting itself based on some header/local variable
3. If above 2 is not possible, Can A pass conversation_id form process B to use?
Thanks
AL

Reply from Dev for others :
If B is an async process (B receives from A and then calls back A), B will define WS_Addressing headers in its WSDL. And A will pass to B the conversationId via WS-Addressing header.
If B is a sync process (B doens't callback A), then you can set convId from B using bpelx:exec. Like:
<bpelx:exec name="test-setConversationId" language="java" version="1.4">
<![CDATA[
setConversationId(str);
]]>
</bpelx:exec>
HTH.

    CH,
    The problem is with table space: "..unable to extend table ORABPEL.XML_DOCUMENT by 8192 in tablespace ORABPEL..."
    Increase the table space for ORABPEL

  • Issue in invoking the BPEL process from Oracle using a SOAP Request

    Hi,
    We are facing an issue while invoking a deployed Bpel Process from Oracle Applications 11.5.10..
    Using a concurrent program( Unix / Host program ) we are passing the input variables required for the Bpel process in the ProcessRequest tags and forming this as a SOAP message payload.
    Then trying to invoke the deployed bpel process using the end point location using HTTP POST..but nothing is happening..
    The bpel process is not getting invoked when i look at the Console and also checked for the Manual Recovery queue..it's not stuck there as well..
    Have set the Transfer Time Out to 25 minutes using UTL_HTTP.SET_TRANSFER_TIMEOUT(1500);
    Could someone please help us as soon as possible with this ..as this is critical and we are stuck at the moment.
    The logic is mentioned below :

  • Error in compiling the BPEL process

    Hi,
    I am getting the following error while compiling the BPEL process. Its a simple process with a Pick activity and have two onMessage activities. One of the activity is having the correlation set and another one is not. Is that the problem ? If yes what should I do to resolve this.
    Any thoughts ?

    Thank you.

    It looks to me that, you have manually changed something in the BPEL process code.
    A process designed via Jdev/designer can only have one variable in inputHeaderVariable syntax.
    While Bpel standard supports calling inputHeaderVariable with two variables, if the generated file was tinkered with to add an extra variable, then this is not Jdev bug and you need to use the latest JDev 10.1.3.4.
    If you are not manually modifying or tinkering the process, then let me know what are the errors you get out of compiling that new BPEL project in JDeveloper 10.1.3.4 ?
    Hope this helps!
    Cheers

  • Invoking the BPEL process automatically

    Hi All,
    I wanted to invoke the BPEL process automatically when ever it is deployed.
    Any thoughts...
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    if you deploy your bpel via ant you can do the following options:
    add a target and within this target call a script which calls the bpel (e.g. PERL http://dietrichschroff.blogspot.com/2008/10/lost-collaxa-bpel-tutorials.html)
    or
    create a test suite (http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/integrate.1013/b28981/testsuite.htm#CACDIFFJ) and include it within ant (http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/integrate.1013/b28981/testsuite.htm#CACGIHGA). You can use "Emulations" or the real partner webservices

  • What can Interconnect do better than the BPEL process manager

    I would like to know which integrations problems can be best done with Interconnect and which with the BPEL process manager. It seems to me that the BPEL process manager can do just the same.
    Is this true?

    Hi,
    In my opinion BPEL can do more than Interconnect.
    Yes they have overlap.
    From my opinion Interconnect is used as a data-interface tool. where Bpel has more functions to create and start processes, work easily with services. Sure a data interface can be build in BPEL (the Oracle one to be specific), and there should be nothing wrong with it.
    And from a support point of view you want to have 1 tool to maintain instead of 2.
    My guess is that Interconnect, and the solutions build with it, will eventually dissapear into the BPEL process manager.

  • Could not initiate the BPEL process :the input xml is not well formed err

    Hi
    I am calling a bpel process from the bpel console. It is a syncronous process and just fetches values from the database. I see that when ever i call this for some inputs i get the following error , in the response.
    Could not initiate the BPEL process because the input xml is not well formed, the reason is :
    Error parsing envelope: (1, 6168) Invalid char in text. Please correct the input xml.
    When i see the log i have the following message
    fault.collaxa.cube.ws> <AdapterFramework::Outbound> Returning outbound XMLRecord for OutputParameters
    Exception: Error parsing envelope: (1, 6168) Invalid char in text.

    rity.auth.Subject.doAsPrivileged(Subject.java:517)
    I understand that the error is coming with parsing the output from the database values. Further i see the process is completed successfully when i see the flow and log and the out is present in the output response. Has any body faced this issue. What is that character that it is nto able to parse as the error says.
    Thanks
    -Pradip

    hi
    I have tried it using both xml and the initiate tab. I get the same error every time i do it for a particular value. i further think that this is occuring for the out put response that is got from the data base as the log says. ( given in the initial post). I can surely paster the input xml for you

  • How to get the input payload passed to the BPEL Process using java.

    Hi all,
    I am working on an application in which, if some fault occurs in the flow I need to insert the input payload that is being sent to the BPEL process into a Queue using Java. I have gone through the FaultHandling framework and failed to find the method by which we can get the input payload. Can someone kindly help me in getting the input payload. using the java.
    Regards

    Hi,
    Use method getVariableData with your input variable.
    Object getVariableData(String name, String part, String query)
    For example: getVariableData("input", "payload", "/");

  • Aggregate statistics of the BPEL process

    Hi,
    I need to get aggregate statistics of the BPEL process, so that i can find out which activity is taking more time.
    Do we have any table which contains "start time" and "end time" of each activity.
    Can we get stage wise statistics of the process.
    My BPEL process can contain several activities(eg. invoke, receive, assign, transformation, if, callback).
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    If you want to calculate the time for each invoke just use the cube_instance table. Use the ecid to combine the trace flow for each service called from BPEL. In there you will find creation_date and modify_date.
    The instances logged in cube_instance depends on your logging settings. It might be that not every invoke is stored in the cube_instance table. This is the reason I suggest to combine the cube_instance with reference_instance using ecid and use an outer join on composite_name to show all composites there where no cube_instance record exists.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks
    Sander

  • "Could not initiate the BPEL process because the input xml is not well form

    hi all,
    i am new to BPEL and tring to create a BPEL WebServices. now i got struck up with one issue like below
    "Could not initiate the BPEL process because the input xml is not well formed, the reason is : Error parsing envelope Please correct the input xml."
    But according to BPEL compiler there are no errors in the design and deployment as well. when i tries to initiate the deployed WS i am facing the above issue.
    can anybody help me to fix this issue. Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Kalyan

    hi' Kalyan,
    The issue seems to be due to XSD file which you are importing while making the new BPEL process,
    the XSD file is very sensitive even a simple upper case will create error, XSD file are many times used when you want
    to pass some entries to be updated in the database.
    use this XSD file:"discountflow.xsd"
    <schema attributeFormDefault="qualified"
    elementFormDefault="qualified"
    targetNamespace="http://www.autoloan.com/ns/autoloan"
    xmlns:tns="http://www.autoloan.com/ns/autoloan"
    xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
    <!--<element name="Demo" type="tns:DemoType"/>-->
    <element name="Order" type="tns:OrderType"/>
    <complexType name="OrderType">
    <sequence>
    <element name="orderid" type="int"/>
    <element name="tenantid" type="int"/>
    <element name="orderstatusid" type="int"/>
    </sequence>
    </complexType>
    </schema>
    <complexType name="Discount">
    <sequence>
    <element name="approval" type="boolean"/>
    <element name="discount" type="int"/>
    <element name="quantity" type="int"/>
    </sequence>
    </complexType>
    </schema>
