Conversion indicator in planned order

Hi,
I have one query with Conversion indicator in planned order.I maintained procurement type X(Both) in MRP2 for a assy say Y.
Since Y is maintained in header say X.Also Y has its own BOM with active status 1.
I took  MRP run for header X, I found that Y has generated planned order without conversion indicator.
Is there any setting missing.
Kindly suggest.
Tushar

Hello Masters,
I checked configuration as well as master data. During MRP run, system is creating planned order but Conversion Indicator in planned order is not checked. I am able to put conversion indicator in planned order and covert that planned order to production order using CO41. I checked BOM dates and status (it is set as 1) as well but could not find reason.
Tushar >> Did you find anything on this, even I am facing same problem.
Any input from all you PP masters will be great help.
Thanks and regards,
Devang

  • Indicator "delete planned order" is set during conversion

    Hello Guys,
While during Partial conversion of production error thru MD04, system shows the error message as indicator "delete planned order" is set. Whats the cause for this error How come we solve this issue . It's very most urgent Please PP gurus let me know the solution. Thanks in advance.
    Thanks...

    Dear Raja,
If I have understood your problem correctly, then i Guess in the partial conversion screen, directly you are able to set the delete
indicator and save the data. But remember that for the same planned order quantity the system generates a production
order ,along with the planned order number linked to it ,when you do this deletion activity and save.
You can check in MD04 with the available production orders and in the assignment tab page you can check the planned order
    number also.
    Check and revert back.

  • Automatic mass conversion of SNP planned orders to Process orders

    Hello,
we currently convert our process orders from APO by following steps:
    1. In RRP4 - select convert SNP orders.
    2. Click Save.
    3. Set conversion indicator.
    4. Click Save.
This is a very tedious tasks and we would like to automate this.
Reading previous posts - I know this can somehow be achieved in transaction RRP7. However, I haven't been able to convert SNP orders (steps 1. and 2.) in RRP7 yet. Does mass conversion only apply in setting the conversion indicator?
    Best Regards,
    Sam

    Hello,
    thanks for your reply.
We are currently processing orders in RRP4. We would like to automate this process  as much as possible that is why we are considering RRP7. However, I haven't found a way to automatically convert SNP planned orders to PP orders in APO.

  • Conversion of LTP Planned orders to Active planned orders

    Hi PP Guru's,
I want to convert LTP Planned orders of Multiple Materials to active planned orders. Using MD43 (Interactive planning), I am able to covert only one material LTP Planned orders to active planned orders.
Can any one advise me if there is any way (or) options to convert the Multiple Material's  LTP Planned orders to Active planned orders.
Please let me know if required any further information on the issue.

    Hi Anil,
    Thank you for quick reply.
COHV Transction is meant for mass execution of transactions for Normal Planned order or Process order. I did not find any option to convert LTP Planned order to Normal Planned order in COHV Transaction.
Please advise me the with further details.

  • Conversion of Planned order to PR and Dependent Requirements

    Hello Everyone,
I had two issues to be dealt with..
    1. When i run my MRP run for a specific plant i do not want the system to automatically convert planned orders to Purchase requisitions for specific material in specific plant. How do i Configure the same?
    2. I use planning strategy 40 for the header material. During MRP run dependent requirements are automatically  raised for lower level components. But how does the user know which planned order is generated for which higher level order?
Moreover, since the same raw material is used in multiple  finished  materials, a single planned order is raised for the same raw material. This makes it all the more complex.
I think Individual/ Collective requirement does not help in this case because i am using stategy group 40 which is a MTS strategy.
Any help in both these cases would be greatly appreciated..
    Sincerely,
    Aji

    1) Select the indicator "3"- Planned Orders in the MRP Screen or in a Variant you use to schedule the MRP
    2) Under a make to stock scenario, requirements are summarized in a planned order (or many, according to the lot size key). But in general as the stock is generic and not customer-specific, there is no assignment of planned order to a given customer.

  • Combining multiple planned orders into single purchase requisition

    Hi Gurus,
could anyone please tell me how to convert multiple planned orders generated during MRP run into a single purchase requisition? Also, is there any other way of getting single purchase requisition fcreated after MRP run for a procured item which is part of multiple BOMs?
    Thanks and regards,
    Abhik

    Hi,
Conversion of Multiple planned order to single Purchase requisition is not possible.
But you can have a single Pur.Req for Multiple requirements.
    You can do this by:
    1. Individual/collective indicator "2" collective requirements for the Header Material so that you will get your dependent requirements clubbed together.
    2. Period Lot sizing : Daily/weekly/monthly Lot size so that system will club the entire period requirements and propose a single lot.
    3. for low value materials you can have Reorder Point planning also.
    Hope this helps..

  • List of Unfixed planned orders

    Hi -
Is there a report in R/3 which lists all the existing unfixed planned orders in the system?
    Appreciate your help.
    Thanks
    Varun

    Varun,
Please confirm what do you mean by "Unfixed" Planned Orders?? Do you mean "Unfirmed" or NOT FIRMED planned order? If yes, then below information might help you.
I am not aware of any standard R/3 report that can do that. But you can definitely create a SAP Query for PLAF table and use fields AUFFX (Firming indicator for planned order data) and STLFX (Fixing indicator for BOM explosion).
    Try and revert back.

  • Set new Required Field for MD14 and MD15 for conver from Planned order to P

    Dear all,
I would like to set new required field (Purchasing Organization)  in T-CODE MD14 and MD15 for convert from Planned Order to PR. What's should I do?
Please help, I 'm new for MRP.
    Best Regards,
    Kate

    Hi Kate,
You are not on the right track; MD14 and 15 will choose the PLANNED ORDER population for the conversion. In planned orders there's NO PURCHASING ORGANIZATION DATA (normally)!
So even if you managed to put the field on the screen, it will not do anything that makes sense.

  • Information about Planned Order convert into Purchase Requisition Job work

    Hi Expert ,
Can U tell me If we generate the MRP of FG in which one component Procurement type is 'BOTH'
then can we convert that planned order partially into Purchase Req - Job work and Purchase Req - Normal
    SANDEEP

    Hi Sandeep,
From SAP 4.6C version onwards SAP support partial conversion of a Planned Order into Purchase reqt / production Order and the balance will be available with the same Planned Order number itself.
Later you have the option of converting teh balance planned order qty to either Production order / Pur reqt.
So I can say if your current SAP version is more than or equal to 4.6C then you can convert the partial planned order to Pur reqt now and later the balancce qty to either Pur Reqt itself OR Production Order.
    Hope this will help.

  • Conversion of planned order to production order resulting into Runtime error

    Hi Akshay,
Overflow during arithmetical operation type P COMPUTE_BCD_OVERFLOW comes when the maximum of the internal ABAP field that is 99,999,999,999.99 many be quantity, cost value UoM conversion etc.
Please check how this UOM (unit of measure) is defined in transaction CUNI. In this transaction, you may have set the Value-based commitment indicator. This indicator controls whether commitments for the chosen unit of measure are recorded on a quantity basis or a value basis.
Please search OSS note for this dump and also raise this to OSS.

  • Planned order to Manufacturing order conversion

    Hi Experts,
We are in SCM 5.0 & R/3 ECC 5.0.   I have developed one RFC function module in APO, for planned order to manufacturing order conversion, using BDC for transaction /sapapo/rrp2. This rfc function module, iam calling in r/3 program.
The issue is, using this enhancement, if i put the conversion indicator tick in APO, it is not converted into manufacturing order & subsequently not transferred to r/3 via CIF. But, if i do it directly in APO through normal transaction, it is getting converted into manufacturing order & the same is transferred to r/3.
What could be the reason ?   Any help is appreciated.
    regards,
    Nagarajan.J

First of all I think there is inconsistency in what you have reported as the problem.
"This rfc function module, iam calling in r/3 program"
    "using BDC for transaction /sapapo/rrp2"
Transaction /sapapo/rrp2 is to query Orders in APO and not for setting conversion indicator.
Use transaction /SAPAPO/RRP7 instead for mass conversion.
Also remember just setting the conversion indicator will not suffice. The Planned Order with the Conversion Flag needs to be saved that will trigger CIF transfer.

  • Planned order to production order conversion in APO

    Hi Gurus,
Can you please tell me how i can convert planned order into production order in APO? How that production order will be transfer to ECC?
    Regards
    Rajib Pathak

    Hello Rajib,
    The following are required -->
    1. Active Intergration Model for production orders in R/3 .
    2. Distribution definition  (T.Code /sapapo/cp1) in APO.
    3. Retransfer settings (optional, read the F1 help here, before setting one) (T.code /sapapo/cp3)
Also make right setting for transfer for inhouse production in /sapapo/rrpcust1 in APO.
Then create a planned order and check the "Conversion indicator" in the product view (/sapapo/rrp3). or use transaction /sapapo/rrp7 to convert orders in mass.
    Thanks,
    Mahesh

  • Error in Conversion of Planned Orders to AFS production Orders

    Dear Mam/Sir,
We are working in AFS Scenario. There are following observations during
AFS BOM/Planned order conversion/Material availabilty as follows:
    1) When Item category 'T'(Text Item) is used ,with 'witout fixed qty. indicator'in AFS BOM,then during the MRP Run BOM gets exploded & dependent requirements are created for AFS /non-AFS Components. But, when Bill of Material Tab is accessesd in the Planned Order system throws error'REQUIRED PARAMETER MISSING WHEN CALLIN UP MODULE MARC_SINGLE_READ'.When this planned order is converted to Production order, Order reservation is created only for NON-AFS(std. component).
    2) When a Planned order(with all BOM components item  category 'L') is converted ,then system gives error in material availability check : Message no.AG022'An error occurred during Remote Function call on the ATP Server'.
    3) When for a AFS material BOM components with item category'L' is used an order is created.during material availabilty check system shows missing part. The moment  a 'text' item is added in BOM the for the same order system commits all components.Though components are missing.
    Kindly advise.
    regards,
    Stuti

    Hi,
Good to know that your problem is resolved.
But the error you mentioned appears may be because of configuration problems.
You should check what is account assignment category mentioned in the corresponding requirement class for the strategy group you have used in the materials master.
Also you should check the settlement profile that you have used for your order types.
The account assignment category and settlement profile maintained, must be set properly so that allowed transactions are executed.
Also, there is problem with the message itself which appears for many reasons. More particularly when you are in MTO / ETO scenario or using WBS to create orders. This make it difficult to check the correct cause of the problem!!

  • Capacity check during Planned order to production order conversion

    Hello Gurus,
I have a strange situation during capacity check.
While Converting the planned order to Production order, I release the order and I don't get any warning. All work centers are available
But for the same material/quantity/dates, if I create the Production order manually, release it, system check the capacity and I got the message the Capacity Over loaded (which is correct also as there are overload on the work centers).
My question is why I am not getting this message while converting the planned order to production order.
There are overload on the work centers and manual creation of Production order is working fine, but problem is during planned order to production order conversion.
For information, I have maintained Finite scheduling indicator in OPKP, capacity availability indicator "NO CHECK" is also blank in OPJK.
It will be grateful if you can please help me here.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sandeep Kumar

    Hi KK,
    Thanks for your feedback.
I have checked all these settings but still no success.
I am surprised but it is not a customizing issue I believe, because capacity is checked in Dev client while converting planned order to production order. I am facing this issue only in Staging client.
Master Data is same. In CM01, in Quality(Staging) client, it is showing overload. while creating production order, it shows overload but only when convert from planned order to production order, it does not show overload .
Please suggest what else I need to check.
    thanks in advance.

  • Program PPBICO40 for conversion of planned orders to production order

    Hi,
The program PPBICO40 is for conversion of planned orders to production orders in the background job.But while set up of variant it is asking me for peson who created error folder and recipient.I want to know the significance of these two fields and how these are useful.
Please throw some light on this.
    Thanks in advance,
    Ravi

    Dear,
PPBICO40 the non-convertible planned orders are put together in one batch input session and can be postprocessed with batch input tools. It is possible to create a separate error session for each MRP controller.
Error folder for each MRP controller: creates a separate error folder for each MRP controller.
Receive folder according to view: If the indicator is set, the error folder is not deleted after processing in batch input.
Creator of the error folder: User who is entered as creator in the error folder .
Send mail: Sends a mail to the respective MRP controllers during the creation of a batch input session. If the indicator 'Error folder per MRP controller' is not set, the mail is sent to 'Recipient (alternative)'.
Express document: sends mail as an express document.
Recipient (alternative): Recipient of the mail, if no recipient is specified in the material requirements planning master record of the MRP controller responsible .
    Hope clear to you.
