    Hi All,
    I have a requirement where I need to print the output from a spool request in SAP to a pdf page .
    The page has to be in landscape format.  Is it possible to create a pdf page which is always in landscape format?
    I am using FM convert abapspool 2pdf for conversion of spool to pdf.
    Does this require any setting from BASIS end?
    Any ideas/thoughts are welcome..

  • Problem in Asian language conversion in pdf format? Need Help!

                I have created an SAPscript form in Chinese, and Korean versions. The print preview of the form layout is coming properly when I am using corresponding output type options. But when I am trying to get a pdf format of the invoice layout, the Korean and Chinese fonts are not coming properly. What to do?
                        My second question is how to access Archieved database in SAP?

    IN the zreport import the itab and display the itab.
    It creates a spool.

    i want to use the standard program RSTXPDFT4 for converting into pdf format. but i want a way in which the spool number is automatically generated for the current script or smartform opened instead of the manual entry of the spool number by the user.

  • PDF format printing problem... (complex 6i reports conversion to 10g)

    Hi All,
    I hope somebody has solved this problem and could give me a hint. We have a lot of complex reports in 6i (client\server) and PDF format is the only option for us in 10g, I believe.
    The previews of the report in 6i and 10g (PDF format) are very similar. When we send the report to the printer from 6i preview, the printout also looks the same as in the preview (with about 3mm sides margin), but when we print a PDF version of
    the report with the default settings for Acrobat Reader, the printout gets huge
    margins and it is absolutely unacceptable for our company. When we change “Page Scaling:” to “None” in Acrobat Reader printing settings, some information of the report doesn’t get printed on the paper (being cut off). This report has a landscape orientation and a legal paper size and these settings are also setup in the printer driver as default (for Oracle PDF writer). The testing was done on the developer workstation with local OC4J and a local report server (10g iDS).
    I also tried to generate this report into PDF file by Oracle 6i Reports (client-server). Same problem. In Acrobat in looks fine, but in Acrobat preview, it only looks OK
    when "Page Scaling:” is set to “None”, however, when it gets printed the report
    data is being cut off (left and top parts). If "Page Scaling" is set to "Fit to
    Printable Area" (default), the report on paper gets resized with huge margins.
    I hope it is not an Acrobat Reader v8 problem.

    Was it a character mode report? While converting character mode reports to bitmap reports you have some layout problems. You might be facing similar issue it seems.
    And there are many other formats supported by Reports 10g, not only pdf.

  • How I can save report (graphics & text) in PDF format in LV6i?

    I am new to LabView. I tried to save the report as HTML document, it works well using vi's from report generation pallet. But the problem is HTML stores graphic images and text as multiple files. My requirement is to have one single file (like PDF format) to store the results/report of the process.
    Any help in this problem will be greatly appreciated.

    You could write a batch file that prints to a PS file using a PS
    Printer driver and then runs GhostScript to automate the PS -> PDF
    conversion. There is no need to buy a MS or Adobe product.
    A big of searchign and you'll probably find some ghostscript addon for
    HTLM->PS->PDF conversion

  • Error while downlaoding smartform into Application server in PDF format

    Hi friends,
    I am downlaoding Smartform to Application server in PDF format.  getting below dump while executing  
    OPEN DATASET p_filename FOR OUTPUT IN TEXT MODE ENCODING DEFAULT.

    if i add  " IGNORING CONVERSION ERRORS " after ENCODING DEAFULT then i am not getting dump and pdf file is creating but i am not able to see LOGO in SAP Application server ( downlaoded back from application server to my pc and checked it).

    here i am getting dump saying that : You cannot convert the character set
    Runtime Error          CONVT_CODEPAGE
    Exception              CX_SY_CONVERSION_CODEPAGE
    What happened?
    While a text was being converted from code page '4102' to '4110', one of
    the following occurred:
    - an character was discovered that could not be represented in one of
    the two code pages;
    - the system established that this conversion is not supported.
    2 characters could not be represented (and thus could not converted).
    If 2 = 0, a second or a different error has occurred.

    I think some basis related configuartions to be done
    Try like this and inform me
    A cyclic job runs, which processes the messages seen in the SOST queue.
    Are you sure it's not the frequency of the cyclic job, rather than the
    number of messages in the queue, that you are observing? In messages
    that are queued and before the cyclic job runs, "wait for comm. service"
    is the normal status.
    If you mean that there are always 4 items queued in SOST regardless of
    the cyclic send job, then I have no ideas. I would have thought there
    was no way to do that.
    when the send job runs it just never
    picks them up & sends them, while it picks up many others. The send job
    is somehow blind to these; no error message occurs. In this case, I
    'delete' them from the queue (in SOST) and then 'undelete' (drop down
    menu -> /Go to /Deleted Items) them and then re-queue them. THEN they
    actually get picked up & sent when the next cyclic send job executes.

  • How to get batch job o/p in PDF format and automatically saved to xyz loc

    Hi Experts,
    Our requirement is we want output of background job in PDF format and this PDF generated should be saved in some xyz path at OS level.
    Why doing this?: Business don't want hard copy o/p of some batch jobs but only want to save this output in pdf format to some OS location for future use.
    We could achieve above objective by archiving method (but for some reason we cant adopt it).
    So guys please propose solution in detail regarding above problem "how to get o/p in PDF format and automatically get saved to xyz location"

But I have another problem that o/p of batch job should come in japanese language but when i check spool or hard copy o/p its not coming in readable form (seems something like machine language) . I dont what is the reason there must be some basis setting to get the batch job o/p in japanese language.

  • To convert ALV Grid to PDF format

    Hi Experts,
    We have a requirement where in the output in ALV grid display should be downloaded to PDF format.
    We came across two processes.
    1. To download the output  to Smartform and then convert to PDF format
    2. To send the ALV output directly to spool and then convert it to PDF
    Please let me know which of the above two gives better performance and also please guide me through the process.

       Both the ways are feasible. For conversion of ALV to PDF,
    1. Display ALV output as usual using factory method .
    2. Create a Button 'Download to PDF' in the GUI status
    3. Set the Sy-batch as 'X'.
    4. Call the Factory method for list display
    5. Catch the sy-spono
    6. Use the FM CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF  to convert alv data to PDF.
    7. Use the FM GUI_DOWNLOAD  to dowload the above PDF file
