Conversion problem from 8.5 to 10.0

Hello,
    I have a report that was created in 8.5. We're upgrading our manufacturing software (SQL database) and the report needs to be converted to Crystal 10.0 to be compatible. I also have to change the datasource location. The 8.5 report has 16 parameter fields.
    When I open the report in 10.0 and change datasource location, the mapping seems to work ok. But when I go to refresh the data, only two of the parameter fields show up. If I look at the SHOW SQL QUERY in both versions, they look quite different.
   Any ideas on this will be greatly appreciated.

That sounds whacko. I've never worked with 10 - only 8.5, 9, and XI. I remember hearing lots that 10 had issues - maybe this was one? Right now I'm stuck with 9 because of compatibility issues in our company. You've probably already tried this, but can you recreate the params in 10? Better yet, drop them in the 8.5 version, THEN do the conversion, then recreate the params? Be sure you don't get stuck with the report needing to run without the params because you'll be liabel to sit there all day (or dump out) while the report runs without them.
I might be way off the track. I think I'll go back and review your original question. Too bad I can't from here!

It turns out this was an issue with the META-INF/weblogic-application.xml having duplicate entries for the "webapp.encoding.default" parameter.
This obviously got duplicated when my app was re-imported into the Eclipse OPEP environment for WLS 10.3.2

Loading EMF and Conversion Problem from EMF to SVG in Adobe illustrator CC

Hello,
I have downloaded trial version of adobe illustrator CC.
I am importing .emf file into adobe illustrator CC. it loads an emf file properly with its content but my emf file contains some lines(--------) also..imported emf file doesn't show any line.
My main motive is convert this emf file into svg file. but as because my emf file is not imported properly, so as with SVG.
Ask one more important thing, why converted svg file from emf appears to be having different fonts and margins.

The problem is once I finished with the art, I deleted the template, and there's a big art board there and it's in the way, I don't want it to affect the size and dimensions of the channel art. I just need it to be 2560px by 1440px wide, is there any way I can save it exactly like that?
Not sure what you mean by "it's in the way."
The size of the artboard doesn't necessarily affect the "size of the art." (There are some workflow scenarios where the artboard size is recognized and utilized, but for the most part it is simply a 'passive' boundary.)
If your art is 2560px X 1440px, and you want the artboard to match, double-click the artboard tool and choose "Fit to Artwork Bounds" at the top of the preset menu.

Conversion problem from AppleWorks document

I have a number of documents in Appleworks format that I have opened in Pages and then saved as a Pages document. I viewed and worked on them several times, but now when I open them, some of the images are thumbnail size and some have changed places with others. I went back to the original AW document to go through the process again and the same thing happens after saving and reopening.
Am I missing something about those images? I can't place them from a media file as they exist only in the original AW file, so what am I to do? I have tried closing the file and reopening it, but the same mistakes are there.
Any ideas?

Is this happening while exporting the reports or while viewing?
However, if it is while exporting then you can use this with Crystal Reports XI (version greater than 10) by manipulating the
ExcelFormatOptions.ExportPageHeadersAndFooters

Conversion problem from PM7 Win to InD CS3

My client sent 400 CAD images to a design company in India to have them converted into PM7 sheets to for printed here in the US!!!!
I just received the PM files-I do have a copy of PM 7 on an XP Win PC.
The printer also happens to have PM7 but is having difficulty converting the files to .PDF for printing. My solution, I think, is to open the .PMD (PM7) on my Mac using InD CS3, making page order changes, and converting to .PDF for printing. Seems there is distortion when I open in CS3. I understand there is a FREE Plug-in for Pagemaker 7 that is available. I have never configured a Plug in-only used native ones. Can anyone advise or does anyone have another fix?

OH YEAH! IDIOTIC from my point of view.
They brought the files into PM& (because this is what they have and
this company does not want to spend $ on upgrading-which if fine if
they were only working in house-a manufacturer) that's why they sent
it India-thought they could save $ NOT! I could have done it right
in the first place.) They needed borders and text and logos etc place
on the final pages. The India firm mis-placed certain pages-this is a
double side print and they neglected to take into consideration that T
of C and others are single sided print- and so on. So do you think I
have to stay in PM7 . I thought the reason the distortion was
happening was because they DID NOT embed the CAD images.

Digital Classroom Lesson Conversion Problem from Premiere Pro CS5 to CS5.5?

I have the book Premiere Pro CS5 and CS5.5 Digital Classroom. The project lessons on the dvd do not convert for use with my Premiere Pro CS5.5 program. Has anyone had this issue and found a resolve?

I did copy the lessons to drive and tried to open project then this comes up:
This project was saved from a previous version of Adobe Premiere Pro and must be converted. The original project file will not be modified. Continue?
It gives you a file to convert.... but it does not convert. That is there is a project in form but no videos or images.
Importing the project will skip the question above but end result the same.

This product conversion problem from a pdf file to a word file truly sucks ! what is the issue ?

Oracle to Mysql character set conversion problem!!! PLZ IGNORE

Hi Experts,
I have created a database link from Oracle 10g to Mysql 5.
I have installed Oracle Gateway 11g for this purpose.
When i retreive the data from sql plus the text is displayed as question marks.
Oracle 10g Database character set is WE8MSWIN1252
Mysql character set --->latin1
Character set of ODBC connector for mysql is latin7
Character set in the parameter file of HS folder is WE8MSWIN1252When i retrieve data from sql developer the text is fine(as i think it directly takes the character set of target) but
when i login from sqlplus i get question marks!

Regarding the problem itself, make sure that SQL*Plus has the right NLS_LANG setting in the environment. On Windows, in the Command Prompt:
C:\> set NLS_LANG=.WE8PC850
C:\> sqlplus ...On Unix:
$ setenv NLS_LANG .WE8ISO8859P1 (or NLS_LANG=.WE8ISO8859P1; export NLS_LANG)
$ sqlplus ...-- Sergiusz

Codepage conversion problem

Hello,
In a DB to DB scenario, I am getting this error "Error: Unexpected error converting database resultset to XML, codepage conversion problem?" on the side of the sender adapter. I am not able to see any messages or trace in IE-Monitoring. Is there any log wherein I can find out the problem as to where it is occuring?

The JDBC sender adapter returns the rows selected from the database in the follwoing format.

This error occurs , when the source datatype you have created for the JDBC adapter does not match with this format. I would suggest that you check the source format along with the occurence of your field.

Raw conversion problem

I have Photoshop Elements 6 (Camera Raw 4.2) and a Nikon D7000 (Camera Raw 6.3 minimum). I am using DNG converter 8.1 to create DNG files, but these still will not open in Elements. I am selecting compatibility of Camera Raw 4.1 in the conversion program. What else can I do?

Sorry it took me a long time to reply. If I send to dropbox (which I can), can I restrict the images to specific email addresses, or will it be accessible to anyone? Not that I care about the image particularly, as it was only a test.
Once I have an idea of this, I will do a final test & send the data to dropbox.

It seems like you're doing everything that you're supposed to be doing, and it is not working. I don't have an explanation why that is, but can you share an original NEF and its DNG via www.dropbox.com or similar and others can test with a newer version of ACR to make sure there isn't something corrupted wtih the files.

Dreamweaver cc html entity conversion problem in mac -NO utf-8 related answer please

I probably am fighting against a bug existing in DW for a while, and i'm really on the edge of bursting out!
Here are the specifications:
Dreamweaver CC from creative cloud (also tested w/ CS5.5 too) installed on mac, OS and DW user interfaces are english, and on mac turkish keyboard layout is also installed.
I have been using DW for maybe 15 years, since it was macromedia.. But was always on windows. This is the first time I use it on mac. Here is my problem step by step:
1- Dreamweaver > Pereferences > New Document > Default Encoding: Western (ISO Latin 1) (NOT UTF-8 PLEASE, IT KEEPS THE CHARS UNCHANGED, ISO LATIN1 IS IMPORTANT)
2- Go to Design View,
3- There are 6 special characters in Turkish (times 2 for the caps versions of course), type:
ĞÜŞİÖÇğüşıöç
4- Go back to code view, what i should have seen was:
ĞÜŞİÖÇğüşıöç
But I see:
ĞÜŞİÖÇğüşıöç
There are 3 chars (and capital versions) NOT converted to html entity at all. Which were: ĞŞİğşı
But I should have seen them as: ĞŞİğşı
Any help would be appreciated, I do not want to leave my old friend DW just because of a weird conversion problem...

Ok, when you look at the code view, what do you see exactly?

Here is one of my reasons:
I sometimes create newsletters in turkish for my customers, and the html files i prepare are sent to customers attached as inline through various versions of outlook or thunderbird, or through i completely different email sender company (none is sent by me, i only create the html file). And most of the time the headers and some coding are cut off from the code when used to send as newsletter, and i have no control at all on it. so i have to create absolute correct viewed/rendered html files since i have no control at all on which sending method will be used or which os or browser or mail system will be used to open it...

PDF Conversion problem

While sending smartform as a mail attachment(PDF Format) i am facing problem.
While opening the PDF attachment in SOST (T-code), It shows a error pop up.(I.e., Conversion Problem in PDF). Some pages are getting opened as a blank page and some are not getting opened.
What may be the prolem.
Please help Me out ............
But it works properly in IDES version.
In IDES i have ADOBE 5.0 Version, In Live server it is ADOBE 6.0 ,7.0.

Captivate 3 to 4 Conversion Problem - audio

First off, I love Captivate. Have since it was known as
Robodemo!!
Recently upgraded to Captivate 4.
When the conversion process from Captivate 3 to 4 completed,
the audio disappeared.
All I see is a black bar where there used to be audio - on
the layers.
I tried importing the mp3 audio back into the new file and
the error received states:
"Unable to decode and import the selected wav/mp3 file"
Please say there is a fix for this. Thanks!!!

FWIW, I'm testing C4 and text to speech on a 64 bit machine.
I didn't want to install it right onto my Vista installation
because I have C3 installed there so I installed it on a 64 bit XP
virtual machine. I encountered the same error and the 7 steps
aboved fixed the problem for me.

i am facing data from problem from dso to cube
i am getting daat into dso

dso i am uisng key fields

while loading data into cube
its showing only
p1 m1 1 2 20
item 1 is missing
there is no iten num filed in my target field?

Hi,
The problem is in your ODS/DSO.
In your ODS you have 'Doc_num' as key field.
For both Items 1 & 2, you have same key field ( Doc_Num) Value.
So, the first record will be over written by the second one. So from your ODS you will get only the latest record to the Cube.
If you want to send both doc_nums to cube, you need to bring doc_num to the data fields area of ODS.
