Conversion to 9.0 from 8.0 lost ability to append emails to file
We had everyone in the office on Acrobat 8.0 and Reader 8.0. I converted to Acrobat 9.0 and Reader 9.0. I have since converted Reader back to 8.0 due to printing issues. I still use Acrobat 9.0. The Outlook AdobePDF tab conversion setting is Acrobat 8.0.
I create and append email messages to files on the server from Outlook. Today we found that:
If I created the email thread archive, no one else can append to it but me (error message: PDFMaker cannot append to the selected Adobe PDF archive because it was not created by Outlook PDFMaker)
If someone else created the email thread archive, *I* cannot append to it since upgrade to 9.0 although it worked when I was using 8.0 (no error message, it just fails)
Also, if I attempt to append an archive someone else created, although it appears to work, no email actually appends and I get no error message telling me the append failed.
Appears to be a version conflict but I have no idea how to fix it. Needing advice. This has created a rather large pile of work for me.
If you created an email archive in an earlier version of Acrobat, you first need to migrate your old PDF email archives to PDF Portfolios in Acrobat 9. I've included the link on how to do this for your reference.

Try these in order testing your system after each to see if it's back to normal:
1. a. Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
b. Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
2. Restart the computer in Safe Mode, then restart again, normally. If this doesn't help, then:
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the
COMMAND and R keys until the Utilities menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the
computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager
screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
3. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
4. Reinstall Yosemite: Reboot from the Recovery HD. Select Reinstall OS X from the Utilities menu, and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

Lost ability to right click multiple files and choose 'open with'
In XP I can select a bunch of mp3 files, for example, right click and choose 'open with...' whatever application I want.
In windows 7 I only get 'open with' in the context menu on single files. How do I enable 'open with' for a selection of files? Please tell me Windows 7 hasn't disabled this useful behaviour.Hi,

You should change the bold text with the path of your player. After you’ve changed the key, you can right click the chosen MP3 files and choose “open with player” to play the music.

I had to get my hard drive replaced from Apple, I lost all of my music obviously. My question is, how can I get all my music off of my iPhone onto iTunes? Since it's a new hard drive, the iPhone isn't recognizing this as it's home computer.

I have an iPod Classic 5th Generation. I have not used it for about one month. When I turned it on, I had lost all my music and playlist files. The only thing left on the iPod was the music and audio books I have purchased from iTunes store. I tried to delete everything on the ipod by sliding the hold button and then pressing the center button and the menu and I saw the apple logo on the screen but the iPod wouldn't reboot. Any suggestions as to how I can delete everything on the iPod and then plug it into my computer to restore my music library? I am using a Windows 7 operating system.
Does both your Windows and Macbook iTunes have the same library of songs?
if it does then, much easier to proceed, else try to load the Macbook with the same library as Windows.
Note that only one of the Macbook USB port is good for iPod Classic, the other is too slow and may cause timeout, and I would suggest disconnect all other USB devices, while you Restore or Sync the iPod Classic.
Connect the iPod to the Mac, (if iTunes launch, please close it back.)
Use Disk Utility -> select the iPod Device->First Aid->Repair (use option FAT32)
After the Repair complete, eject the iPod.
Connect back to the Mac
When iTunes launch, Restore the iPod when Prompted, (use FAT32)
Sync your library.

ShelleyHow did you "try" to transfer this data? The only way to restore App data is by restoring from a backup that contains the App data, then syncing the Apps back to the phone. Emails are not included in any iPhone backup, only account settings.

wt_textes contains the a string with the character "u20AC".
This code dumps:

The running ABAP program 'ZREPRISE_TEXTES' had to be terminated as the
conversion
would have produced incorrect data.

be converted), is 1. If this number is 0, the second error case, as
mentioned above, has occurred.

the problem is that code page 1100 (ISO-8859-1) does not support the u20AC-symbol. However the NON-UNICODE mode usually takes this code page if you logon with EN or DE (or any other Western European language).
As alternative, you could use OPEN DATASET ... LEGACY TEXT MODE... CODE PAGE 1160 ...
Code Page 1160 is the SAP number for MS 1252, which includes the u20AC-symbol.
The other alternative would be to download the file in UTF8 mode and then use the tools described in SAP notes 747615 or 752859 to convert the file content from code page 4110 to 1160 (code page 4110 is the SAP number for UTF-8).

1100 is ISO 8859-1 charset.
The only char there looking like a double quote is U+0022 QUOTATION MARK, the normal ASCII dblquote. This is definitely contained in both codepages.
BUT: in Unicode (4103), there are tons of other, similar looking, variants of quotes or quotation marks which cannot be converted to 1100.
What you can do to find out what exact char you have:
In the Unicode system, copy the character from GUI display (e.g. in ABAP debugger) into Windows Wordpad, mark this char in Wordpad with the mouse and press ALX+x
This will convert the char to its Unicode codepoint (22 -> U+0022 for the ASCII dbl quote).

I upgrade my SAP version ECC 5.0 no Unicode to ECC 6.0 Unicode .
Now, when I execute some reports I get a dump because when I open my file with 'OPEN DATASET' and then READ and TRANSFER to another file the result is :

- or it was detected that this conversion is not supported.
This dump is got when the file contain special characters like 'Á,Ñ,...)
I have searched some information and the source error I think is about UTF-16 to UTF-8 conversion. I look for some SAP notes but I don't clear what I have to do.

please check the code page of the uploaded file. In your scenario the assumption is that it is based on UTF-8.
If it is based on Non-Unicode, you need to use OPEN DATASET .... ENCODING NON-UNICODE ...

Have you not backed up or transferred your movies to your computer at any point before you dropped your old iPad?

Check under Settings > iCloud to see if the Contacts switch is ON (green side showing). If it's already on, switch it off for 30-60 seconds, then back on again. Your contacts should start showing up shortly.
