Converstion failed PDF to Excel

Trying to convert PDF to Excel and keeps saying conversion failed.

Hi paulw83685016,
I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble converting a PDF file to Excel format. Is the error specific to one file? If so, there may be a problem with the PDF file, which is causing the conversion to fail. Do you know how that PDF file was created? (You can tell my choosing File > Properties in Reader and looking for the PDF Producer on the Description tab.)
For starters, let's try these basic troubleshooting steps:
Try to convert a different PDF file.
Clear the browser cache and log back in. Make sure that you're using a supported web browser (see System Requirements | Adobe Acrobat Pro and Online Services for a list of supported browsers).
Make sure that the file is 100 MB or smaller, as that is the file-size limit for upload to ExportPDF.
If you're still having trouble, please tell us more about the file or files that you're trying to convert.
Best,
Sara

  • Converstion Issues (PDF to Excel)

    Hello,
I have been converting PDF documents to Excel using the Adobe Acrobat XI Standard.  I have noticed that not all of the PDF documents are being converted correctly, and many are showing foreign symbols and signs when they should actually be showing Numerical Values.....
Is there a setting that I can change? Has this happened to others before?

    Hello,
We have issue agents failing with following error when set up with attachment (pdf or excel only) either as Dashboard or Report. If the same agent is run as inline then the agent is working fine. OBIEE version is 11.1.1.6.0 unclustered.

We tried logging in as user/Administrator and running the report from catalog without any error. Also strangely this is evident in only a specific environment. Not sure what is causing the issue.
    Please advise.
    Thanks

What is the size of the attachments of reports you are trying to send thru Agents .? either PDF or EXCEL ?
What does you JavaHost log .?
I think this is a same Bug 14680611 : ERROR CODES: AGEGTYVF RUNNING AGENTS WITH LARGE REPORT AS EXCEL ATTACHMENT
If your are not able to download even smaller attachments/reports then, I would raise an SR with Oracle.

have a pdf auto created by app file it is an INVOICE
before app was created it was done in Excel - everything should be EASILY converted
after coversion got from Acrobat services a messed-up file
even subscription is paid - no way to get support /including chat/ during weekend
    any sugestion?
except do it pdf to excel failed conversionmanually in excel - 50 files - kill weekend and cancel subscription as useless?

You can try here: Cancel your membership or subscription | Acrobat, Acrobat.com online services.
And it's always easier to obtain help if you post your question in the right forum, giving from the start enough details to fully understan your problem.

  • Export from PDF to Excel continually times out and fails.

I went through the steps to convert a PDF to Excel turning off the OCR feature. Tried this several times today with or without OCR and I keep getting the error message "Adobe ExportPDF could not successfully export your PDF file (file name).pdf. The conversion of your uploaded PDF timed out."
I don't think I'm doing anything wrong as there are not too many steps to follow.
If I can't get this to do  what is expected (which is convert a .pdf to an Excel file) then I will have to cancel the subscription. I just did sign up for a paid subscription to Adobe ExportPDF. There are others in my department (45 total) who would benefit from having a .pdf to Excel file converter and I have volunteered to become the "beta tester" for this.
If anyone has any ideas as to why this is happening, I'd sure love to hear them.

You are not talking about Acrobat, but ExportPDF. Check for the separate forum on that by simply selecting the Adobe Community link near the top of this forum and in the drop down box select ExportPDF.

  • I am unable to save my form responses as a pdf or excel file.

I am unable to save my form responses as a pdf or excel file.  The error message states: Acrobat.com could not save this file. The file might be open in another application and cannot be overwritten.

Did saving ever work or did it fail the first time you tried?
Have you tried to save to multiple locations?  Maybe it has something to do with permissions on the directory you are trying to save to.
Have you tried saving something from another web site to the same location?  Try creating and saving a file in/from https://workspaces.acrobat.com/app.html#o and see if that has the same result.
    Thanks,

  • Cannot print pdf from Excel. Saving as log file

I am trying to print an Excel page to pdf and everytime I get an error.
I am using Adobe Acrobat 9 and Excel 2010

You printed to Adobe PDF from excel.
There was an error which prevented the pdf from being created.
That log file lists the errors and seeing it's content might enable us to determine why the job failed.
Open the log file with Notepad or any text editor (Word)
Copy that text to this forum

  • Converting PDF to excel using Adobe Acrobat Pro XI

I am trying to convert long but simple PDFs to excel but I keep getting an error message. I have tried disabling OCR, but nothing. Some of my files are rather large, but smaller than 100MB. Any suggestions?

    Hi Sara,
I'm working on an Imac 3.2GHz Intel Core i5 running OS X 10.9.5. Sometimes
Acrobat just shuts down, sometimes it stops responding and I have to force
quit, and other times I get this message: "Save as failed to process this
    document. No document was created".
I don't know exactly how the PDFs were created, as they come from another
institution. They look as if they were exported from excel though. The
thing is I have several files, all with the same structure, from the same
source, and the small ones were converted without a problem, but the large
ones simply won't. I'm attaching one of the files, perhaps you can see for
    yourself something useful.
    Thanks,
    Mariana

  • Converting PDF to Excel hung. Can not stop.

I attempted to convert a 3 page PDF to Excel. The converstion has hung with the message saying it is converting. I stopped Adobe Reader. Now it is trying to Upload a file. There is no progress bar with an X to cancel.
When I searched the ExportPDF form for "conversion hung" I got a similar question with two Replies. See: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5407460#5407460 . Both replies had no content.

    the file is http://enlinea.guadalajara.gob.mx/consultaNomina/2013/NominaSegundaQuincenaNoviembre13.pdf
It is a excel table 3.2MB

  • In PDF to Excel conversion dates like 03/12/15 convert to Dec 3rd 2015 not the correct date of Mar 12th 2015 whereas date 03/13/2015 converts correctly as March 13th 2015

In PDF to Excel conversion dates like 03/12/15 convert to Dec 3rd 2015 not the correct date of Mar 12th 2015 whereas date 03/13/2015 converts correctly as March 13th 2015

    Hi DirTech,
Are both of these dates in the same Excel file? If they're in different files, are you choosing the same language for OCR (optical character recognition)?
If they are in the same PDF file, how was that PDF file created? Was it created from a third-party application (rather than an Adobe application)? If it was created by a third-party application, it could be that it wasn't written to spec, and that's why you're seeing some oddities in the PDF > Excel conversion.  (See Will Adobe ExportPDF convert both text and form... | Adobe Community.)

  • New to PDF Portfolios - Need to Link between PDF, Word & Excel Docs

    Hello All,
Thanks in advance for your help.  I'm new to the Adobe X Pro & making portfolios.  I have figured out how to create a portfolio.  My portfolio has a main pdf document and several folders with pdf, word & excel files in them.  What I’m trying to do is link from my main document (pdf file) to the other files (word, excel & pdf) that I’ve added to the portfolio.  I’ve tried linking to a pdf file and a thumbnail of the word doc (because I did find that I can’t link to the actual word or excel doc).  When I create & test the link (for both the pdf file & the thumbnail of the word doc) it is there; I can click the link I created and it will go to the word doc.  If I close the portfolio & reopen it the link to the pdf file is there, but the link to the word doc isn’t there anymore.  That link now goes to the main pdf file and not the word thumbnail or even the folder where the word doc is saved.  Any ideas on what to do?  Thanks.

As Dave has noted you can not do this.
Acrobat/Reader would need to know what program to use to read the data in the document and since there can be many different programs that could read your document,  Acrobat/Reader would need to know exactly which program to use on one's system. You might only have MS Office but others might have both MS Office and OpenOffice.org and might prefer to use OpenOffice.org unless there is a feature that is only available to MS Office. Yes it is possible to create a program that can be configured to use specific helper programs, but it can have a real impact on system efficiency. It is easy enough to download or extract the non-PDF document and then use your program of choice. Just look to MS Outlook for a program that can not always open an attachment, especially PDF files.

    Hi Vinay,
As Visakh mentioned, the issue usually occurs because the package runs in 64-bit runtime, however, the Excel driver is 32-bit. According to your another thread, it seems that you use SSIS 2005, right? In SSIS 2005, there is no “use 32 bit runtime” option
for the package executions of a SSIS package job step. In this condition, you have two choices:
Install the 64-bit Microsoft ACE OLE DB 12.0 Provider on the production server. Here is the download link (AccessDatabaseEngine_x64.exe):
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=13255
Create a CmdExec type job step instead of SSIS Package job step, so that we can call 32-bit DTExec.exe to execute the package within command line. For more information, please see:
