Convert 48000 to 44100 without change in pitch?

I am trying to import a WAV into Logic that is 48000. Logic converts the sample rate to 44100, what I normally use, but the pitch changes which is impossible to work with. Is there a way to change this 48000 to 44100 while maintaining the same pitch? Some way to do it with iTunes?
The situation is that I have some files that I have recorded at the lower sample rate and some recorded at another studio at the higher sample rate. I need to import the higher sample rate file into Logic so I can create some stem files for a mastering session this weekend.

Here's the double-check.
You can turn off automatic conversion; perhaps this is what you have done.
An unconverted 48kHz file will be played at the wrong pitch if automatic conversion is switched off. Perhaps you are then not converting it but just copying it. Or perhaps the files are not correctly tagged with the right sample rate information, leading to faulty or no conversion of rate.
The project’s sample rate determines the number of samples Logic Pro uses for audio playback. When you add or record audio files to your project, the sample rate of these files is automatically matched to the project sample rate. Important: The +“Convert audio file sample rate when importing”+ project setting must be active for automatic sample rate matching. You can turn on this setting in the +File > Projects Settings > Assets+ pane.

I think, this is a two-(many?)-step process, because 'speeding up' is allways pitching audio...
so... my workflow would be:
* extract audio from clip
* speed up video
* export audio (Quicktime/Expert/aiff
* use any audio app which allows pitching (Amazing Slowdowner, Audacity...), change speed/pich
* import back into iM....
probably a little tricky to find the right, sync settings... but you asked for a very .. 'advanced' effect ...

I don't think that's possible.
Think about it: when you slow down sound you are also slowing down the frequency of sound, making it sound lower and slower. The only way to slow it down and not change the pitch would be to take little sections of it and keep them apart from each other over a long period of time. However, this would not sound like your original audio file.
I don't know what you are looking for. Can you imagine a way in your head to slow down the audio, but not make it change pitch?
The only thing I can think of would be to slow it down normally, then try to correct the pitch using one of FCE's audio filters.

PrPro may have that but I've always just gone over to Audition ... you change speed there, you're given a choice of keeping the pitch the same or allow it to change. Note ... if there's much cha ge in speed the result can be odd.

Either make the clip a subclip or convert it to a new master clip. Both can be done in the Modify menu.

Create an mp4 from mov without changing the dimensions

I am working on a project in InDesign that needs to output to DPS.
I take screen capture movies which are saved in the default mov format. These movies are 700 px x 400 px. That can't change.
I need to convert the mov to an mp4 to add to ID for DPS.
I open Adobe Media Encoder but I am confused as to how to set the output controls.
I don't want to change the dimensions.
What setting will convert the mov to mp4 without changing the dimensions?

Hi all, how can I change the pitch (make it sound like its gone up a key). I can see that I can seem to select the audio and go into the sample editor and do factory > time and pitch editor and change it but since its destructive I don't know whether to do it as I'm still using the sample elsewhere in the track. Will it alter the others too?

if it's only going up a tone, why not try the pitch shift plug in?
OK, if its vocals it'll sound cack, but for most other things in a mix it works.
Or buy melodyne uno.
Convert it into a new region b4 you do anything to though if you use time machine.

I don't know where else to go and it is iTunes-mp3 related.
I play keyboards and sometimes
the tune I wish to accompany playing in iTunes is just a bit

Oh boy, there's a freeware beats per minute analyzer that is really part of a DJ package for Macs that includes this. I don't have a link to it but maybe that would give you a lead on a web search.

My Motorola S9-HD bluetooth headphones sound choppy and sometimes change the pitch of the song that I play on my MacBook Pro, how can I solve this?

I have been using this on my iPod touch and my iPod Classic and they have worked fine without any of these problems. MPEG4 is one of the formats that has relationships among various settings called constraints. More specifically, frame dimensions and frame rate are constrained by Profile and Level. Here are the steps to set the dimensions as desired:
Open the Export Settings dialog for a job
Set Format to MPEG4
Click the Video tab
Set Profile to Advanced Simple
Set Level to Level 5
To the right of Frame Width and Frame Height, click the chain link icon to decouple width and height
Set Width to 700
Set Height to 400
(optional) Change any other settings such as Frame Rate and Bitrate as desired.
(optional, but highly recommended for future convenience) click the Save Preset button to the right of the Preset control in the upper right corner [in CS5.5 and before, the button icon is a floppy disc; in CS6, it's an arrow pointing down toward a rectangle, which I presume represents a disc drive.] Enter a name for the custom preset in the dialog that pops up, then click OK.
Back in the Export Settings dialog, click OK (if you opened this dialog from AME) or Queue (if you started from PPRO).
The preset that you saved in Step 10 will be shown in the list of presets for MPEG4, so you can use it for future encoding jobs. If you have AME CS6, custom presets are also displayed in the section at the top of the new Preset Browser.

Yes,open nokia music manager>ctrl F>browse for the song/s you want to convert>go to options>settings>in the conversions tab make sure u have the AAC format u can also change the bit rate> under general tab 'location of my collection' select the folder where u want to save it>click the check mark to exit> now just click the icon 'copy to my collection' at the bottom right... enjoy converting

Timestretching ESX chops without affecting the pitch

Say I had a sample of a beat at 110 BPM. I changed my mind and wanted it to be drum & bass in stead, 160 BPM. I had already chopped the sample in to ESX 24 and deleted the original sample + track from the arrange window (to get some order in my project.) That means, I don’t have a chance to simply stretch the loop on the timeline by using the ⌥ button.
How do I now stretch the time to 160 BPM without affecting the pitch? First of all I’d need the whole loop in the sample editor, and not just the chops. Any ideas?

Logic's Time and Pitch machine, found within the sample edit window, will do this.
Select the audio region, open the sample edit window, and under the factory sub-menu, you'll see "Time and Pitch Machine"
When it opens, you have some options to play with, such as the algorithm, etc... FYI... 100 cents is equal to one half step.
Many here (myself included) will tell you that you can probably get better results using third party software, but sometimes the Time and Pitch machine can come through very well, depending on the source material, of course

How can i add an already existing iphone to a different itunes account without changing anything on the actual phone...just updating it?

I have an iphone synced to my iTunes account. But I need to add another used/existing iphone to my account to update it. I do not want to sync my emails/contacts/apps, etc. from my computer/iTunes to this new iPhone. This 2nd iPhone already has existing apps and is in use.
Is there any way that I can do this without changing anything on the existing iPhone? All I need to do is update it to the iOS 5.0.1.

It wasn't my phone, hence the reason we didn't want to share/take each other's content (apps, contacts, music, photos, etc.). But the owner's phone hadn't been able to update because of a computer crash/no access to a stable computer. So, I just wasn't sure if we could do an update without sharing content.
