Convert 60 fps to 48 fps w/Twixtor, without slowing down?

Hi there!
I have footage that has been recorded at 59.94 fps in full HD which I NEED to convert to 47.94 fps, but I don't want to speed up or speed down the footage.
I tried AE+Twitxtor resulting in the same length but in slow camera.
Is there a way to convert it without loosing the quality?

The easiest way to change the frame rate is just to take your original footage and drop it in a comp with the new frame rate.
There will be some frame blending and there are 3rd party plug-ins like Twixtor that will help blend the frames. Depending on the shot it can take a lot to make blended frames look good. Look for Advancerd Twixtor tutorials. If Twixtor changed the speed of the playback then you did not set it up properly. You set it to re-time the footage not blend the frames.
If the new comp is an exacty divisible by the original frame rate then you don't end up with blended frames. For example, if the original footage is 60fps and the new comp is 30 you see every other frame. If the new comp is 15fps you see every 4th frame. If the new comp is 24fps then you are going to end up with blended frames. AE's frame blending option may work just fine, but with some footage this can get really ugly.
As long as you are rendering to a suitable DI (digital intermediate production codec) you should see no quality loss in the pixels but you may see some odd things going on with the frame blending. These motion artifacts depend entirely on the motion in the footage and the techniques used to overcome frame blending problems.
I hope this helps. 47.94 is a very odd frame rate for standard delivery. I'm wondering why you chose this frame rate.

I shot some multicam footage on 2 7d cameras one was unfortunatly 30 (23.97) fps and the other 25fps any advice as to what would be best way to convert the 30 fps to 25 fps ?
I need to multiclip it in pro res 1920 x 1080 progressive sequence.

It can't be real 23.976. It has to be 29.97 with advanced pulldown, so recorded at the higher frame rate. You couldn't tell a one frame speed up, not slow down, by listening to it.
I think Graeme's tool is worth it, both for quality and equally importantly for speed if you're doing a lot of material. Compressor can be painfully slow.

How to convert 32 fps footage to 24 fps for slowmotion effect in premiere pro cs3?

Can somebody give me any advice on this?
Is there something specific i need to adjust in the preset? or can i just richt-click on the footage in the timeline and convert it to 24fps?
Is it best to always shoot at a higher frame rate then 24fps..lets say for this particular clip and subject 32fps?
i'm doing this for a videoclip and we thought that such an effect would be nice during the choris of the song.
I hope somebody can give me some advice on this. Thanks in advance for the effort. much appreciated.

tnx for your reply: reason why shooting at 32fps is because the audio on the set has been speeded up with 133%. I thought it's best to stay in the same ratio in order to have the lips sync on the audio (this is in realtime)cuz when slowing down the footage to realtime speed the lips must be sync with the audio which is also in realtime speed
If I make sure that when slowingdown the footage in the project,it matches the realtime speed of the audio...,
does it matter at which frame rate I shoot?

Well..I just got word of the rental company and there is a big chance that they have the panasonic HVX200 ready for me when i need it, SO i think that will be the one
So it will be as follow: shooting on a hvx200 at 32fps or if it doesnt really matter at 60fps for a better slowmo effect
of course i will shoot on High Def ;) and will need the p2 cards, after shooting I will capture/import the footage from the cards as you guys adviced me to do...
my main issue was thinkin I needed extra software for downconverting the framerate in order to get the slowmo effect, e.g.: cineform aspecthd
I think that i'm full circle now..or am i missing something?

Camera slowing down to 4 FPS

I have a problem with the camera slowing down in my project.
I thought it could be because of the complexity and memory
consumtion of this work, so I created a completely new movie, typed
such code:

Despite there was nothing else done than just displaying the
captured video, the camera fps was still slowing donw (however it
was much lengthened in time than in the complex project), but
ultimately I also finished with 4fps. So I came up with an idea to
check if there is a connection between the memory usage and the

I'm pretty sure my iSight webcam supports 30 fps as I can record very smooth videos using youTube's webcam page, but even when my camera records at higher rate for example when there is more light in the room and fps goes up to 25 still netStream.currentFPS remains below 15, so the recorded video still has lots of dropped frames. I can't figure out why netStream.currentFPS never goes higher than 15. Perhaps I should decreae the number of keyframes in the video to reduce byte load...

This is cause by Nividia Geforce Experience which limits the fps to 30 when gaming with battery due to energy saving technique. If you want more performance for the cost of shorter battery life. Open NVidia GeForce Experience. Click Preference and go to Battery. Uncheck set frame rate target when on battery.

NO. If you let DVDSP make your encoding you'll get uncompressed audio (AIFF/PCM) what means most probably high bitrate issues during building/playback and a lot of the space of your disc.

You don't state what iMac it is or what you want to use it for an external display with so we cannot answer the question. But without a bootable drive, no you cannot. However you can get the internal HD replaced or you can connect an external HD and boot from it. Without some basics about the computer it's impossible question to answer. Thanks for your response. I am not an experienced user of FC or other video editing software but if its that hit and miss I think I will go to the trouble of finding some better software - I have a busy enough life as is, I don;t want to get into second guessing what a software problem might be!
I have just successfully exported my video to a master file using one of the Apple codec options so it looks like it could be to do with the H.264 codec. I am wondering if Apples Compressor software would solve this problem - the only way to try this it to buy it, there is not trial for the compressor app. Any ideas?

So that the data in the Text file gets populated into the columns of the Excel sheet using the java code.
I am working on a CRM based application and the application is generating a Text file(1042-1.txt) through PL/SQL Packages on the Servers particular directory and this file is getting Downloaded.
My requirment is that the Users of my application should be presented with an Excel file(1042-1.xls), so that they do not have to Open the Text file in Excel and then do the Importing...instead they should be provided with the Excel file itself...

The Apple supplied chargers are universal chargers, can be used anywhere. Just use an adapter to plug them in, but do not use a converter. If other iPhones on this set-up charge normally, then most likely, the battery is showing signs of age.

When I check the Document Properties on Acrobat I can see that the fonts used in the document (Cambria, Times and Windings) are listed as "Embedded Subset" in the Fonts panel. The machine it was created on did use an earlier version of OS X and an old version of Word, but it seems to have the proper fonts...

How can I convert 30 fps edited footage to 29.97 in prem 6?

I have 11 minutes of footage that I want to be able to send to my dv camcorder and then burn the dvd but the problem is I edited all of the footage in a 30 fps timebase and when I open the project up in 29.97 premiere tells me that it will add gliches, etc. and sure enough it does and the audio levels are different. How can i fix this without having to re-edit all of my footage?

According tp Paul Scrivener, you should up the bit rate to 25000kb/s and convert, and it will export 1920x1080 MPEG2.

Converting 30 FPS audio to 29.97 FPS audio in Audition or Premiere?

I recently shot a wedding using 7 video sources. Unfortunately the sound guy wasn't really the sound guy so after I set up my camera and checked the board audio he started playing around and surprise... my booth camera didn't get any soundboard audio. The only decent audio I got was from an iPhone I put in front of the speakers to get a specific shot.
Problem is the iPhone shoots at 30 FPS not 29.97. So when I try to edit, the sound doesn't sync correctly with the 29.97 footage.
I've tried playing with the speed in Premiere but continue to have sync issues later in the video. I started to manually go in and remove small clips from the audio timeline in Premiere to manually sync the audio but this is crazy for a 90 minute video.
Is there a way to convert the iPhone 30 fps audio to 29.97 audio in Audition or Premiere?

I had high hopes for Audition's Automatic Speech Alignment... but the audio is 48 minutes. Audition says I don't have enough memory even though I have 64GB of ram and over a 900 gb of free space on my cache drive. The only way it works is if I break into smaller clips less than 5 minutes each which is basically the same as me doing it manually in Premiere.
To other replies - yes I took the audio out separately to a .wav file and imported by itself. Still have the same sync issue. I thought for a brief minute that the sampling rate was the problem (41000 Hz vs 48000 Hz) or the bitrate (16 bit vs 32 bit) but when I corrected it so all were the same, it still has the same sync issue. I must be missing something really simple and on any other day would be obvious.
Guess I'll just go back and edit manually - there are enough silent moments to razor and shift the audio but it shouldn't be this difficult to fix what has to be a somewhat common issue.
