Convert a SAPScript spooled file to PDF

I have an urgent request to build a front-end interface to map the parameters to SAP Standard object RFOAVIS_FPAYM. This is the driver program for Remit (Payment) Advice Notes using SAPScript.   I need to create a way to submit RFOAVIS_FPAYM and Return back to the calling program after the Remit Note has been created in the SAP spooler. Then I need to read the spooled file and pass the parameters to the FM CONVERT_OTF_2_PDF to create a PDF version and email the PDF via SAPConnect.
Has anyone done something similar? I am looking for help in capturing the newly created SAPScript form in the spooler and passing the correct parameters to FM CONVERT_OTF_2_PDF so that I will convert the correct output..

Take a look at these two Process BTEs, Business Transaction Events.
00002040 Autom. pmnt transactns: Output of pmnt advice note
00002050 Autom. pmnt transactns: Output of pmnt advice note
Look at them from Tcode BF05 .  They can be created from the Customizing Tcode SPRO.
The help document for BTEs in Tcode SPRO is really quite good.

The documentation:
Business Transaction Events
This activity describes how you can connect additional components (such as in the form of function modules developed yourself or a product from an external software provider) to the standard R/3 System.
There are two types of interface available in the General Ledger Accounting (FI-GL), Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable (FI-AR/FI-AP), and Sales and Distribution (SD) components for this:
1. Publish & Subscribe interfaces (also called "informing interfaces" in the following)
These should inform you about particular events (such as a document being entered) in the SAP standard application and make the data generated as a result available to the external software. The external software does not return any data to the standard R/3 System. Examples of such events in the R/3 System are:
Master record was created, changed, or blocked
Document was entered, parked, changed, or reversed
Items were cleared or reset
Additional processing can be caused in the additional component on the basis of these events and data:
Starting a workflow
Generating or changing additional data
Requesting correspondence
2. Process interfaces (also referred to as "process" in the following)
Process interfaces are used to submit business processes to a different control which cannot be realized with the standard system, that is process interfaces replace standard processes.
Here you can structure determination of individual field contents or of specific reactions to process flows individually. It is possible to connect different external developments to the standard R/3 System. The additional developments are generally carried out using the ABAP/4 Development Workbench.
This way you can, for example, influence the control of payment transactions. Selection of payment method, house bank and partner bank can be made using the payment data (currency, amount, and payee) according to a selection logic which you have defined.
Standard settings
Sample modules are delivered in the standard R/3 System which you can copy into your name range and fill them with statements there.
Activities
1. Enter a product using "Settings -> Customer's products". There are generally a large number of function modules belonging to a product which can be called by different program events from within the standard R/3 System. A product can also be an external software component.
If the product is in an external system, enter an RFC destination here. If the product is in the same system, you do not have to enter anything.
Important: Do not forget to activate the product after making the following settings.
2. Establish the interfaces with which the R/3 System provides you.
To do this, choose Environment -> Info system (P/S) or Environment -> Info system (Processes).
Execute the program. You should enter "A" as the attribute type. You see the respective interfaces with which the R/3 System provides you. Note the key of the interface which you require.
You can also select:
By particular SAP application components
By particular events by entering intervals
Which interfaces are used in activated products
Which interfaces are used within a particular country version or within a particular industry
Which interfaces are used within a particular customer product
3. Enter the function module which you have developed yourself. To do this, choose either Goto -> Edit modules within the info system or Settings -> P/S modules or Process modules -> Customer's in the "SAP Business Framework" menu.
Make the following entries:
Key for the interface
The product that you want to use
Function module which belongs to this product.
You can also enter several function modules for a product.
Caution: The function module must be within your name range, that is must begin with the letter Z.
You leave the Ctr and Appl. fields blank unless you want a particular country version or a particular SAP industry-specific component to be enhanced or replaced instead of the standard process flow.
4. Fill the source text of your function module and activate it.
To do this, go again via Environment -> Info system (P/S) or Environment -> Info system (Processes) into the information system and execute the program. Then proceed as follows:
Click twice on the interface you have chosen. If you want, you can look at the interface at this point by choosing Goto -> Interface. Then choose the Back function again afterwards.
Place the cursor on the relevant line and choose Goto -> Function library. You see the sample function module delivered by SAP.
Copy the sample module delivered by SAP and call it the same as the function module entered in step 3.
Fill the source text of the empty function module.
Activate the function module.
Activate the product as described in step 1.
5. Run the R/3 program affected and test whether calling your function module works.
Further notes
The other menu paths are only used for information about additional components delivered by SAP or about software already installed by external software providers.

  • Converting a word 2000 file into pdf using Adobe Acrobat Standard X

    I reinstalled my Adobe Acrobat Standard X today, and tried to convert a *.doc word file into pdf, but the application could not open the word file and got stalled. I remembered that last time I installed the application the same probelm cropped up and I had to install a Microsoft patch that was required to do this, What is the patch file and how do I get it?

    I answer my question myself. I have solved it myself. The answer can be found by searching adobe website. But I give it here if it can be useful to others. Go to control panel. Go to Add or remove programs. Click on Modify in the listed Adobe program. Click Next in the box that appears. Select Modify. Click on + sign against pdF maker to expand. Click on X sign against 'this feature is not available' which shifts on to the little box on the left of Microsoft Office. Click on Apply. Quit. Once the Microsoft Office becomes disabled in Adobe, Word will open in all places.

  • How do I convert a Finale Notepad file to ".pdf?"

    I have created a music notation score and in the online "help" from Finale, they suggest if you want to save a file as .pdf you have to purchase Acrobat.
    I did.
    When I tried to follow the directions below I cannot find the "postscrip" (*.ps) file that I "Print to File" with.  Here is what Finale instructs. I am using WIndows 7 if that helps. (I've tried naming the document a unique name and doing a "search" but it will not locate anything.
    There’s more than one way to create a PDF, but this method will give you more control over the results. See your Adobe Acrobat manual for full details.
    Open the file in Finale.
    Choose File > Print. The Print dialog box appears.
    From the Destination popup menu, choose File.
    Click Save. The Save dialog box appears.
    Give the file a name (you may wish to save it to the Desktop for convenience) and click Save.
    Quit Finale and return to your Desktop.
    Drag the PostScript Listing (*.PS) file to your Acrobat Distiller or launch the Acrobat Distiller and open the file. The Acrobat Distiller creates a PDF of your file in the same location and the same name before the period as your PostScript file.

    Hi, gfrerichs.
    Reader X cannot create a PDF file - it can only view and print existing PDF files.
    In order to create a PDF file (for example, print a webpage as a PDF, as you mentioned), you can purchase our CreatePDF service. This service includes a CreatePDF Printer which can print web pages to PDF.
    Or you could purchase Acrobat, which can also convert webpages to PDF.

  • Why am I getting error messages and sometimes no Bookmarks when I convert some MS-Word files to PDF

    Our company produces educational products for business. Essentially they are e-books in PDF format with Bookmarks allowing for ease movement to various areas of the book. The original product is generated in MS-Word and then converted to PDF. These e-books vary from 40pages to 300 pages in length. Businesses use them as reference and problem solving tools. We are using Adobe Acrobat 7.0 and for what we do it serves our purposes very well.
    Recently, with some MS-Word files only, I have gotten error messages while converting the file to PDF. Sometimes, it will not complete the conversion. Sometimes, it will complete the conversion BUT-there are no Bookmarks in the PDF file.
    The main error message I get is:
    "Acrobat PDF maker has detected 'Highlight Changes in Printed Document' has been selected. To create a PDF file with tags, unselect this option from VIEW>MARKUP. Do you wish to continue and create PDF without tags."
    If I don't unselect VIEW>MARKUP  in the MS-Word file I can't complete the conversion to PDF. If I do unselect VIEW>MARKUP I can complete the conversion to PDF but the PDF file has no Bookmarks. Bookmarks are absolutely essential to the user facility with our products.
    Does anyone know my problem is and can offer a solution.
    Thanks in advance

    BizGuru,
    Somethings to consider.

  • How To: Convert *.mpp (MS Project) files into PDF in order to share with people who do not have MS Project but need to provide input on schedule?

    I was told that the MPP is unsupported, but I know for a fact that I have converted MPP to PDF.  My question is what is needed to make this happen?

    You can try printing to the Adobe PDF Printer.
    Another option would be to export the MS Project file as a graphic (JPG, PNG, EPS, etc...) and then just import it into Acrobat via File>Create PDF>Combine

  • CreatePDF to convert Framemaker binary (.fm) files to PDF

    A web search and the Adobe chat salesman says that CreatePDF can convert Framemaker binary files (.fm) to PDF and send the results back to me.  I'm told that this capability is not documented in the CreatePDF compatibility FAQ, but is provided.  My Framemaker was version 5.5, but is long since died (I'm on my 3rd or 4th Mac since Framemaker support on Macs went away).
    So I subscribed.  But the web interface refuses to upload a .fm file.
    How do a get this feature to work?

    Good day,
    FrameMaker files are not supported for conversion from within the CreatePDF interface.  To convert a FrameMaker file to PDF using CreatePDF, you would need to use the Print to PDF function.  This particular feature is Windows-only and requires that you be able to print from the native application to the virtual printer that communicates with our CreatePDF service.
    The best solution I can think of would be to coordinate with a colleague/friend/etc., who has a Windows computer (unless you're running a Windows VM on your Mac).  Download and install the FrameMaker 10 trial and convert your files to PDF using FrameMaker's export function.
    I don't think that CreatePDF is the solution for you in this particular case.
    Please let me know if you have any questions.
    Kind regards,
    David

  • Converting a large word file to pdf - very slow

    I have a 150 page word document that I'm trying to turn into a pdf and it is taking over an hour. What is normal time? Any way to speed it up?

    In SharePoint 2010 (not in Foundation) you can use word automation services application to convert doc files to pdf. It allows conversion from all word versions (starting from 97). There is a great article on this feature here:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff742315.aspx I'll just provide a short snippet of word to pdf conversion:
    using System;
    using System.Collections.Generic;
    using System.Linq;
    using System.Text;
    using Microsoft.SharePoint;
    using Microsoft.Office.Word.Server.Conversions;
    class Program
    static void Main(string[] args)
    string siteUrl = "http://localhost";
    // If you manually installed Word automation services, then replace the name
    // in the following line with the name that you assigned to the service when
    // you installed it.
    string wordAutomationServiceName = "Word Automation Services";
    using (SPSite spSite = new SPSite(siteUrl))
    ConversionJob job = new ConversionJob(wordAutomationServiceName);
    job.UserToken = spSite.UserToken;
    job.Settings.UpdateFields = true;
    job.Settings.OutputFormat = SaveFormat.PDF;
    job.AddFile(siteUrl + "/Shared%20Documents/Test.docx",
    siteUrl + "/Shared%20Documents/Test.pdf");
    job.Start();
    If you are using SharePoint Foundation 2010, you should consider using some 3rd part library like
    Aspose or
    SyncFusion
