How to convert an autocad dwg or dxf file to txt file containing co-ordinates, using labview.

Hello,
I think you have a couple options – neither of which is
likely to be easy.  One option is to find
some other program which does that for you (you mention needing to use LabVIEW,
but you might be able to call a third party program to do it for you).  Another option is to see if autocad has an
automation server and make calls to autocad to extract each object’s coordinates
and write those to file (you’ll have to check up on the documentation of
autocad about this).  The other option is
to convert the files to some sort of image file using non-NI software (such as
autocad or a conversion program) and use the image VIs
to discover where various objects are and convert those.  This will likely not be easy either though….  I think your best bet is going to be finding
some way to make calls to autocad to get the coordinates of all the objects in
the file using ActiveX (if it is capable of that).
Sorry I don’t have more info for you – best of luck though!

  • Convert PDF's to AutoCAD Files

Does anyone know of any software that will convert pdf files to
    AutoCAD files?
    Thanks

PDF to DWG converter from AutoDWG.com works for this issue. However, if the PDF was created by scanning a drawing it will not work. Only if the PDF was created directly from an AutoCAD drawing

  • Lines Not Converting From Autocad to Pdf

I am using Windows 7 Pro, Autocad 2011 (full version), Acroplot Pro 2013 and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Using Acroplot Pro, we convert Autocad files to pdf. We are having issues with some lines, or entire sections of a drawing, not converting to pdf file. As if someone erased random lines from the drawing.
I've walked through this process with Acroplots help line and they say it's not on their end. I know the issues has nothing to do with Autocad because I can re-do this process and the pdf will come out fine the 2nd time. It's rare and random, maybe one file per 100, but causes a problem when you're converting hundreds of files and don't know which one may be wrong.
    Thanks in advance.

Sorry if I was unclear, we load our cad files into Acroplot which then utilizes Adobe Acrobat Pro claims it's an issue with Acrobat Pro to create the pdf. After walking through the process with Acroplot, they say it's an issue with Acrobat Pro.

  • How do you convert an Autocad drawing into a pdf with Acrobat X Standard?

How do you convert an Autocad drawing into a pdf with Acrobat X Standard?

    Something to try -
Having installed Acrobat Standard you have the Adobe PDF virtual printer installed.
From your authoring application do a "file-print" and select the Adobe PDF printer rather than the attached local or network printer / plotter.
    Be well...

  • Opening an AutoCAD file (.dwg)

I am new at using Adobe Illustrator and I am having a problem when I try and open an AutoCAD file (.dwg).
The file does not open to the right size, full scale.  And some of the radius do not open as radius but as angles.
    What am I doing wrong?

You created an intersection/ boolean on the right, which is a different thing than a parametric blend/ fillet/ chamfer. Your size issues would depend on setting up your units in ACAD and on import. If set properly, AI should convert it 1:1, but you have to keep in mind that it operates internally on inches and points, so DPI settings may affect precision and interpretation of your file.

  • Convertir fichero Autocad a PDF

    Muchas Gracias.

Si te manejas en inglés, lee esto:
Simon ATS, "11.4-- How do I convert a PDF file to a Word, WordPerfect, or any other type of file format?"

I can return my laptop to normal operation by un installing my Adobe Reader 11 app, but the problem returns when I re Download Adobe Reader

Is it wise to keep the Nikon camera files "DSC's"  after downloading them and converting to DNG files via Adobe converter for lightroom use. In other words do the DNG files have all the raw data I would ever need in processing or should I save the camera's DSC files?

DNG files do not contain some metadata supplied by the camera, which can be used by the manufacturer's software. Thus, if you don't keep the original Raw photo, you will lose this information.
If your 1000% sure you're never going to use the manufacturer's software, then this isn't a problem. But who can be sure what software you will be using 10 years from now?

  • Looking for help with converting a ppsx file to a video format such as .mov or mp4

Hi All,  I am looking for conversion software that will allow me to convert a ppsx file to a video file on OS10.5.8.

Hi Klaus1, Thanks for your response.  I can open and view the file without difficulty.  My issue is getting into a video format that I can upload to a Website for client viewing.  All the conersion products I can find are for a newer OS then 10.5.8.  I am working on a deadline of midnight tonight-and cannot upgrade that quickly.  So What I need is a conversion program that will still run on my OS

  • Which is the best software to convert the video files for itouch?

I got a 3rd gen itouch. Is there any software that helps to convert the video files. so I can sync those files to my itouch. " Handbrake " used to work pretty good. but now i still can convert the video files to m4v format but itunes doesn't allow me to put those files in. Please Help!

You may have different menu options than Half bit Bit Ah. The support page on how to do it is at https://support.apple.com/kb/TS1497. In part it says:
If you did not purchase videos from the iTunes Store, they are may not be in a format that you can play on your iPhone/iPod. In many cases, you can convert them to the correct format using iTunes or QuickTime.
    * Using iTunes: Select a video and choose Advanced > Create iPod or iPhone Version
    * Using Mac OS X v10.6: Open the video in QuickTime Player and choose Share > iTunes and then select the iPhone & iPod option.
    Hope that helps!

  • After I connected my hard disk to a friend's windows system all my files have been converted to .ink files and do not open....what do i do? They had important content

after connecting my hard disk to a windows laptop all my files have somehow converted to .ink files and are not accessible.....what do i do?

What do you mean by "all files", surely only one category of files got their default open program changed.
Choose the affected files, right click on an individual file, and "open with",...change to default program.
For a group, right click > show info > open with > change ALL
If more than one group of files has had its default opening program changed, a time machine roll-back would be the easy option. Do you have a TM backup?

  • All files are converted to Word files in my email program

after siging in to change my pdf files into word files now all my files inserted on e-mails are transformed into word files...how can I change this please ?

    Hi Ulrsfch,
When you convert a PDF file to Word, the PDF file remains on your system. So, files should not be automatically converted to a different format because you've signed on to ExportPDF. What may be happening is that the filename association has changed on your system, and your operating system has associated different file types with the .doc or .docx filename extension.  Are you on Mac OS or Windows?
I look forward to hearing back from you.
    Best,
    Sara
