Convert .band file to Flash? Any workarounds?

I'm a podcaster, and typically upload my podcasts to iWeb and iTunes. Periodically I send out mass mailings to my listeners letting them know a new podcast is up.
Currently I am enjoying a new service where I can embed video or audio files into an attractive template/announcement that's sent via email. But it has to be a FLASH file. I have many conversion programs... I can even get Quicktime into Flash. But I can't figure out how to convert a .band file into anything....Through iTunes I can get a .wav or .aiff file, but the corresponding "enhanced podcast" images never seem to appear...just the audio file.
I have Final Cut Pro, but have never managed to get a .band file into a format that FCP would accept.
Anyone have a workaround/workflow idea? I don't mind exporting, converting, importing, re-exporting between Garageband, iTunes, FCP, etc., then out to my media converter into Flash. I just can't figure out how get a. band file into a format where the visuals stay with it.
Can you?????

.band is not a file format it is a package folder that contains media and data instruction files. If your podcast has both audio and video or images I would try doing the project a movie project that will export as a quicktime movie for converting to flash.
Also make sure it is short, flash can become very big and many people don't like media playing in there email. And most windows users will have antivirus software that will filter media files.

I created a small movie on IDVD and i need to convert it to flash so it can go on the web.... any Ideas?

I created a small movie on IDVD
    Perhaps you mean iMovie.
You don't create movies in iDVD.
Flash is no longer the preferred format for many social media sites. iMovie will give you the opportunity to create a file to share on the web.

    HI
    GOOD
I NEVER FACED SUCH KIND OF ISSUES, BUT HERE I AM GIVING SOME DETAILS ABOUT SAP RDI FORMAT,I HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU TO SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM.
    Description
Using the SAPscript Raw Data Interface (RDI), you can connect external text management systems to control individual requests, for example, optimizing postage expense. The interface contains all form data from the R/3 System, but no layout information such as font or page size. The external system alone is responsible for the layout and administration of the document data. The RDI is of special importance for mail processing. The external system sorts the document data from the interface and forwards the documents accordingly.
The Raw Data Interface is a certified interface and allows easy connection to external systems. However, you pay the price for this extra function, as you lose tight integration with the R/3 System. For example, you cannot find out from within an R/3 application whether the external system successfully printed and sent the documents. In addition, extra expense is incurred each time you adapt a standard form, since the system has to adapt both an internal and external form. The external tool is not an integral part of the ABAP Development Workbench, so that field information (field type, output length and so on) from the ABAP Dictionary is not available.

  • I can't convert emailed files to PDF any more.

    Hi, all !
I have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat (XI) and have been using Adobe for years.  It has worked flawlessly.  Up to now.  Of late, when I receive a file, and double-click on it to convert it to PDF, the following MS pop up appears:  "Security Alert:  Your current security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded."
I've gone through my Norton settings, and it clearly has nothing to do with Norton.  It it Microsoft?  I have 64 bit Windows 7, MS Office.

    Hi wiegs,
Where are you downloading the PDF files from? Are they opening in a browser, and you're trying to download from there? Or are you downloading directly from your mail client? Please see this article from Microsoft for starters: http://bit.ly/1rhHHjA
If that doesn't do the trick, please tell us more about where you are downloading the PDFs files from.
    Best,
    Sara

  • Converting CS3 Files to CS2 - Any Ideas?

    Hi folks,
I know CS3 doesn't save down to CS2. Has anyone found a work-around for this. I have a customer who is still on CS2, she is getting files from another vendor in CS3 and is looking to have them saved as CS2. We have both CS3 and CS2.
    Thx,
    Sandy

    > but you loose new features from ID CS3
Or worse...those features are badly mangled. Additionally, it's very
likely that text will reflow. Not recommended for anything but the most
    basic layouts.

  • Need help converting quicktime movies into Flash files

I need to convert a QT, PhotoJPEG compressed, movie file into a .flv format. I have AE 6.5 Standard and it keeps quitting on exporting a SWV file which would could probably get me by with my client. But, again, it errors out saying something like a JPG is busy, or a file is busy.
I have FlipforMac,a purchased version. But I'm not sure if converting it into a .wmv and then a Flash file is the best route or is even possible.
Any suggestions or ideas of software that I could purchase??

i don't think you have read up on the use of flash video
(FLV). there's nothing you need that you do
not already have (except maybe quicktime pro or some other
video editing program). the FLV exporter
comes FREE with flash 8. You should be able to open your
quicktime movie in QT PRO and export to FLV
format - then use any of the flash playback components for
FLV files - best bet is to read the help
docs on this subject and go to the devnet section of
adobe.com where there are several in-depth
articles about implementing flash video into your site.

  • Color shift when converting .mov file exported from Macromedia Flash

I'm trying to convert quicktime file exported from Flash into any other format using Quicktime Pro 7.0.4 and I get substantial color shift. Here's the picture:
    http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/1518/screen3ov.jpg
On the the left is the initial file, and on the right is what I get. I've tried all codecs setting (targa, jpeg2000, animation) but no luck. Please help!

I am in the midst of trying to figure out the opposite : Flash to After Effects.  I am betting that this is an issue of 'color profile' attached to the images and the gamma settings in that profile.  RGBA is only part of the story - color profile is all the rest of it.  Eye Dropper doesn't tell you the color profile attached to the image.

  • I converted aif files to mp3 files in I tunes so I could put them on a flash drive.  Now when I transfer an album to the flash drive I get both the aif files and the mp3 files in the flash drive.  How do I get the iTunes to only copy the smaller file?

My suggestion to use the smart playlist was more along the lines of making one list with rules to show everything in your library as long as it was kind "mpeg" (= mp3).
Smart playlists cannot be edited manually, only by changing the rules.  You can use them as the basis for another smart playlist though.
There is added overhead to using smart playlists, so don't go overboard.

  • Is there any way to convert video files and keep my project in Final Cut Pro 7?

I am currently editing a project, and have been having multiple issues with freezing while editing. Upon doing some quick research, I learned it is bcause my clips are in the h.264 format, which is not a good editing codec. Is there any way to change the codec of the videos and keep the project I have?

You might need to relink the timeline to the new media. Just take the H.264 files offline, and reconnect to the new media. If you media managed the sequence, it'd relink. But then you are only converting the files used in the sequence, not all your media.

    Hi Jorg ,
Are you trying to reduce the file size with the "Reduced size PDF" in the save as other option.
Give it a try if you haven't done it prior.
Open that PDF>File>Save as Other>Reduced size PDF.
If possible ,please share the snapshot of the error message with us so that we can have a look in order to assist you further.

  • When I converted a file from PDF to WORD.DOC it opened as Read Only and I'm unable to alter any of the text.  How can I solve this problem?

When I tried to convert a file from PDF to WORD.DOC it opened as Read Only and I'm unable to alter any of the text.  How do I solve this problem?  I don't know how to change it from Read Only.

    Dear Sara
Thank you very much for sending the converted file.  Yes, I am able to edit it - that will be very useful to me and I appreciate your help.
Referring to your previous message when you said you'd converted via Acrobat and not Acrobat.com, I'm converting via Acrobat.com because that's the only option that is shown (how do I convert via Acrobat? - perhaps that would be more successful).  I'm using the Export PDF website, and the OCR is enabled to "Recognize text in English UK".  However, I've just tried converting a different LPA pdf form, this time for Health & Welfare https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/245571/LPA114_He alth_welfare_LPA.pdf and again I have the same problem as before.  I've altered it from "Read only" and thought I'd then be able to enter text, but "Drawing Tools" is shown in the pane and I'm unable to enter anything onto the form - everything appears to be in images.  Also, the lettering on the heading of' page 1 has become jumbled, with the word "Public" overlaying the word "Guardian."  Any suggestions as to what it is I'm doing wrong would be welcome - I don't like to be beaten!
    Regards,
    Judith.

  • I have an old file with an .A4P video from 1999. I don't own any Adobe products (and don't really want to buy any). I just want to be able to convert the file to something that I can actually view. Any help?

I have an old file with an .A4P video from 1999. I don't own any Adobe products (and don't really want to buy any). I just want to be able to convert the file to something that I can actually view. Any help?
I was a kid when I made a documentary for a school project. I've been trying to figure out how to retrieve the file. 4 years ago, I was able to get the files off the Iomega Zip drive (finally), but I now see the file is saved as a .A4P. There is also a file saved as a .PKG as well, but I don't know how to open this with my Windows 8 COmputer.

.a4p is an Authorware v.4 (Windows) project.
Interesting you have it as a .pkg...usually that's a published-on-a- Mac extension, if I recall.
At any rate, can you put the file up on a Box, Dropbox, FTP, etc...and send me a URL?
I should be able to published it so you can view the project (it would be an .exe).
It can't be converted to anything though - not without manual effort.

  • I can't Convert midi files into any other format

A few months ago, I was able to convert midi files into mp3 when one day, I updated iTunes using software update. Ever since the updates I had for my Mac it still hasn't work.
It has this error that won't allow me to convert. I talked to my friend wrldwzrd89 who is one of my friends and he said that it is because Apple had a piece of data missing allowing midis to be converted to mp3, or any other format.
Is this true or do you know the solution?

I can't tell you the exact reason why it doesn't work, but there is an article about this problem and a solution if you have QuickTime Pro:
iTunes: MIDI files cannot be converted in iTunes 6.0.3 and 6.0.4
Not the last sentence in the article. That usually means they're working on a fix.
No guarantee that it will be fixed in the next version however. We'll have to wait and see.
    Hope this helps.
