Is it possible to open a pdf file and copy or convert the contents of that pdf file into a ms access memo field without loosing the formating of the original pdf file? If anyone has a solution it would be much appreciated.

That all depends on how the document was created. If it has the tagging that PDF Maker adds to the file, then you may be successful. In that case, simply save to a DOC file and see if it retained it's form. If that does not work, you can sometimes get partial success by saving to an HTML file instead and then importing the HTML into WORD.
The better solution is to try to find the original file to copy from, not the PDF.

Hi Peter Breis, you have suggested soemthing that works which is the first line and left paragraph indents but this still does not work with tabs. The .rtf is not a solution becaue of the need for headers and footers (with pages numbers). In the .rtf file they just appear at the end of the text rather than a header and footer.
Anyway, in summary, thank you Peter, you have given me a solution that works which is to indent using first line and left paragraph indents and to export into a .doc document. The headers and footers export without a problem using this method. I will nominate all the extra marks that I will get from following the University's protocol to you!, Thanks!

Converting Word 2007 to PDF without Balloons

I converted a Word 2007 document with Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional.
The issue that I am having is the word documents has Track changes and balloons. I want to convert the word document to pdf without the balloons showing up..
I turned off the Balloons in Word and converted the word doc to pdf. But the balloons show up in the PDF document that I converted and they show up traucated. How do I convert the word 2007 document to pdf without the balloons.
Any help is appericated.

For built-in tool, either using Windows interface or command line, back up or move the data on the basic master boot record (MBR) disk you want to convert into a GUID partition table (GPT) disk. It cannot remain your data.

I just downloaded Adobe Reader X, I'm running Windows 7, When I try to convert a file to PDF I'm required to subscribe? I thought this was free? Any ideas?

You previously had Adobe Acrobat installed, which is not free.
Adobe do not have any free products or services for making PDF.
You need to go back through the disks and licenses you got with your old computer. Though in some cases (e.g. some Dell computers) there is a bundled Acrobat which cannot be transferred.

Copy paste from pdf without the formatting

I've never understood how to copy and paste from pdf to word without getting the line return characters which mess up the formatting. Why doesn't text flow from line to line as it does in a normal word processor? Why does adobe insist on copying the newline character when you paste from pdf to another application?
This must be the dumbest feature in the world.

I don't know a way to do it right out of Adobe, but you can use this tool to do what you're asking: http://www.textfixer.com/tools/remove-line-breaks.php. I routinely have to copy and paste pdf material for the web for a non-profit I work for, and I use that tool every time because it works so well. Plus it's free. If you find out how to do it without using a third-party tool let me know!

Opening new window on button click from pdf without loosing session

In my Java web applicaion on click of a link, we are opening a new window in which we are displaying a pdf. There are 5 buttons on this pdf.
On clicking of this button again we are opening a application link in new window. But in this window we are not gettting our session, which is there in first two window.
For opening new window from pdf button click we are using

Now i got another requirement. When user select some items and press a button in the new popup window, the window must close on button click and the parent window must refresh. This must also be done without using JavaScript.

Trying to convert a .psd to .pdf without changing dimensions

I have a whole bunch of label sheets that I've created in CS4. I would like to convert them to PDF so I'm not the only one who is able to print these label sheets. When I "save as" .pdf, what prints on the page is about 20% smaller than the original image. For instance, printing from .psd gives me 1" padding from the top of the page, and .25" padding from the right side of the page. Printing from .pdf gives me 1" padding from the top of the page, and 5/8" padding from the right side. This means the ink isn't lining up with the labels on the sheet. I have no idea why this is happening or how to fix it.

I checked my image size, in PS and that's fine.
Changed page scaling in Reader to "None" and that bumped the product even farther to the left on the page.

As a workaround, you can hide a particular column and then convert the response to pdf.

If you shoot in one of the following modes you should be able to Log & Transfer directly into FCE:
HD: 1920x1080/60i (FX or FH mode)
HD: 1440x1080/60i (HQ or LP mode)
SD: 720x480/60i
1080/60p (PS mode) seems to be the default mode in your camcorder. FCE only supports progressive video in 720p50 or 720p60. That's probably why you have had to import via iMovie.
It would be better to upgrade to Final Cut Pro X, the version currently supported. FCE was discontinued over 18 months ago and is not supported on Lion or Mountain Lion.

Not sure about using Seagate GoFlex as I seem to recall a number of threads reporting problems.
Windows can do a convert -fs to NTFS just never tried the reverse from NTFS to FAT32 but I would not use FAT. I'd either erase and reload and use as Mac HFS Extended; or if you actually do need to use it with a PC user running Windows, the driver would be handy and better.
Or your PC w/ Windows there are HFS drivers for Windows to mount and WRITE to a Mac formatted drive under Windows. There MacDrive has more and better support feature set.

Converting Smartform spool to PDF results in loss of formatting

A smart form contains texts which is printed in bold.
This is clearly visible in both the preveiw and the prionout.
When we convert the output of a smartform into a PDF form the bold text is converted into a normal text for that font.
We are using a custom ZARIAL font in the smartstyle, and cannot tell if it is this Z font which the PDF conversion cannot support or if there is some setting which needs to be tweaked.
Kindly advice.
