Convert executable (exe) to Script or action.

I Using the small program SNS Resizer (of Sebastian Snibisz). It is standalone but I want integrate it into Photoshop as an action, script or into Filter menu.
Is it possible to do this?

You could ask in the scripting forum, but have you really exhausted all the possibilities of Photoshop (such as the Image Processor)?

Jar Includes and executable .exe

Hey guys,
Here are a series of question I have for Jar files:
1. How can I reference in source code a jpg/xml that was included in the jar file?
2. How can I reference another jar file that was included in the jar file to do one of 2 things:
_____1. Execute it
_____2. Import it?
3. Is it possible to include an exe file <for Windows Environment> and running it? eg: Abc.jar include def.exe <which really is a jar file converted to exe>; Now can i execute def.exe from a sourcefile thru Abc.jar using Run class?
So tell me if these actions are possible and if they are how? If they are not, tell me so and possibly any work arounds you might know of.

To access resources from within your Jar you'll need to use methods on the class loader. Run a quick search on these forums (using: image jar) and you should find a few examples.
I've been using the Fat Jar eclipse plugin (which uses One-Jar) to wrap up my code and supporting jars into a single jar resource.
There is a thread (http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=588857&tstart=0) which will help if you use Fat/One-Jar.
Sorry to be brief but like I say there a quite a few examples in this forum. Have a quick search. If you can't find what you need I'll check back later.

Error while executing unix shell script from java program

Hi All,
I am trying to execute unix shell script from a java program using Runtime.execute() method by passing script name and additional arguments.
Code snippet :

exit.By running the above java class , i am getting exit Value: 139 and log file test.log of 0 bytes.
when i am running the same command (/usr/bin/ksh test.ksh satish) manually, it's calling abc.exe file successfully
and able generate the logs properly.
Pls let us know where exactly i am stuck..

Cannot execute an AE script from Python 2.7

I'm trying to execute an AE script from Python and it doesn't appear that the script argument is passing correctly, or the the script won't run for some reason. I'm using Windows 7 with Python 2.7.
If I use cmd.exe or powershell and try
afterfx -r D:\pipeline\tests\tactic_ae\hello.jsx
I get my "hello world" alert in the AE UI.
However, if I try executing in Python:
subprocess.call(["afterfx","-r","D:\pipeline\tests\tactic_ae\hello.jsx"])
The AE UI takes focus but no alert appears. The really strange part is if I try to do something invalid like remove the -r flag:
subprocess.call(["afterfx","D:\pipeline\tests\tactic_ae\hello.jsx"])
I get an AE error:
After Error Can't import file "hello.jsx": unsupported filetype or extension
It does seem like Python is passing the arguments or the error above wouldn't be generated, but why won't the script run and display the alert? Thanks!

I've personally been unsuccessful in trying to attempt this, but I am also not too command line savvy. There may be a creative workaround out there somewhere though.

The Essbase client is installed on the FDM application server so yes. You can create a batch file that calls a calc script via the Essbase Client and execute this from your Event script

Automator not executing shell (bash) scripts, behaving strangely

Hi everyone!
I was using some Automator "programs" successfully with OS X 10.8 which did nothing more than executing shell scripts. However, after upgrading to Mavericks those workflows ceased to work. I have tried several approaches, e.g. using the shell script action or using Apple Script as a wrapper for executing a shell script. Unfortunately, I can't get it to work.
Automator is behaving quite strangely, tough. Every approach that I tried works well as long as I'm hitting the "play" button in Automator itself. When I save the workflow as a program, either I can't execute it or or I will get strange errors (something like "Can't execute, error -1712" or so).
I can't wrap my head around the fact that everything works fine if I execute the workflow but saved as a program it won't work. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Okay, I think I found it. There were two "hanging" automator processes, an "automator runner" and another one which name I can't remember (started with "automator" tough).
I killed both. After that the workflows worked again.
I still use the "execute bash in an Apple Script" solution. As this worked, I didn't try anything else (e.g. using the shell script action itself).

Error while executing a uinx script in BODS job - exit code 127

I am executing a UNIX script using BODS job and it is giving an error message saying 'Program terminated because of exit code 127'. The same script i am able to execute in UNIX. I am not able to find the solution for this.

Using a print command with return code 8 should give more insight to the error.

    i think ur problem is resolved. Can u help for the below issue.
      Scenario:
       And i working on testing server which does not have any trasaction, i have to record the transaction using RFC connection to different machine.
       I did all the that process and able to connect remote machine.
      i started doing the recoding in SAPGUI after creation of sys. Data container by specifying RFC connection.
        I recorded the script, but when i try to execute the same this attached error r coming.
       But i recorded the same using TCD(Recorded) using remote connection and able to sucessfully execute.
       One more thing also, we used write the script for reading the test data from Excel and pass as parameters using TCD(Recording).
Below is the error

It's hard to help you but what you can do is listening to the outputs of your script, you should read the output stream and error stream and send them to the default console.

Hello Adobe AIR community,
Is there any way to package the installer for an Adobe AIR application using Adobe AIR 1.5 as an executable (.EXE) file?
I found that this is possible for Adobe AIR 2.0, but it requires an upgrade to Adobe AIR 2.0 runtime. Are there any other options using the Adobe AIR 1.5 runtime?
