Convert Firework layers to individual powerpoint graphics

Hi,
Is there a quick way to convert a fireworks png document that has multiple layers into individual graphic files in powerpoint?
I'm looking to make the powerpoint interactive by linking each graphic with a separate slide when you click on the graphic.
Thanks.

Interesting idea. I'm not very familiar with PowerPoint but I suspect it's like Word in that it mixes vector-based type with bitmap graphics, whereas Fireworks' output is purely bitmap (unless you're converting to HTML output). Therefore, any text elements might appear more smoothly rendered if created directly within PowerPoint rather than Fireworks. (This is just a guess.)
Fireworks' output options are available under File > Export and File > Save As. This is what you have to choose from:
Based on your description, it sounds like "Layers to Files" (in the Export command menu) may be the best option. Before you export, you might want to select an appropriate image file format using the File > Image Preview command. PNG32 is a good all-purpose choice. (Click "OK" to save your settings without actually exporting.)

    Hi Sara!
    Yes this sounds interesting. Can I update to that from the PDF Export I have just renewed? How much would that cost?
    Thanks for your quick answer.

  • Powerpoint graphic export filters

    Hi guys;
    I'm using Java to Com bridge technology for ppt automation to export a ppt presentation's slides as GIF images.
    the issue here is wether PowerPoint graphic export filters are always
    Installed with ppt.
    what if my program can't find GIF graphic export filter ?
    is there a way to check if gif graphic export filter is installed
    on user machine before trying to export ?
    I would appreciate a lot some source code .
    Please help !
    thanks.

    Hello,
    To export layouts with filters, go to the View menu > Layout > Open. Then choose the layout that you want to export, and open that layout. Then go to the Filters dialog box, select the filters that are active, and click on the 'Copy as Layout' button at the bottom right of the Filters dialog box. A copy of the filter will be made to the Layout Filters section within the Filters dialog box.
    Next, save the layout (View menu > Layout > Save). Then, go to the View menu > Layout > Open. Choose the layout and click on 'Export'. The layout will be saved as a Primavera Layout File (.plf). The filters will be included in the layout file.

  • How do I export Layers to individual Files?

    In Photoshop CS, there is a script that exports Layers to individual Files.
    Go to File>Scripts>Export Layers to Files.

    Hi Arien,
    If your animation program supports paste open it and select each layer,
    Select>All, Edit>Copy and paste that layer into that program.
    If your animation program doesn't support paste you can paste each layer
    into a New file and save it as a *.png image.

  • Photoshop Converted My Layers into a Smart Object. Now I can't edit.

    I created a multi-layered psd in Photoshop CC that had a combo of vectors and images. When I went back into the psd, all it has is one smart object. I don't ever remember converting the layers to a smart object. And now, when I try to edit the smart object, it brings me into Illustrator...and I can't even edit it from there. Is there a way to get my layers back in Photoshop?

    Thx, Trevor. When I double click the Smart Object, it opens in Illustrator. Can't get it back to Photoshop (when I choose duplicate in Illustrator, it just duplicates it there)...and it's all clipping groups.

  • Batch convert illustrator layers to movieclips

    Hello all,
    Ik was wandering if it it possible to batch convert ai-layers to movieclips.Also I would like that the layer name will be the movieclip name and the instancename. Hopefully you can help me!
    kind regards!
    Arjan

    First of all ... yes ... it is possible to save illustrator files as movie clips(which to me are .swf).
    Since i suppose you`re making a reference to .fla files(because u need instance name to be the same name as the layer and so the .fla layer it is in), that should also be possible but you`ll have to play a bit with the flash scripting. Here's a start:
    this will save every layer as a swf in the same location as the .ai file ...
    exportToFlashFile(app.activeDocument.path.fsName + "/export.swf");
    function exportToFlashFile(destFile) {
              if ( app.documents.length > 0 ) {
                   var exportOptions = new ExportOptionsFlash();
                   var type = ExportType.FLASH;
                   var fileSpec = new File(destFile);
                   exportOptions.resolution = 150;
                   exportOptions.exportStyle = FlashExportStyle.LAYERSASFILES;
                   exportOptions.jpegQuality = 10;
                   app.activeDocument.exportFile( fileSpec, type, exportOptions );

  • Converting several layers to a symbol

    Hi
    I have a problem  with making symbol
    when I try to convert several layers to a symbol  the regularity of layers will chages.
    Here is the movie that I captured:

    Thanks

    Hi,
    I am sorry that you are experiencing this problem. Just to make my understanding clearer did you by any chance painted on top of layers(because after you create the symbol it appears that the hair was somewhat different from the one before conversion) the new nose, hair etc?

  • Photoshop Layers to Fireworks Layers

    So I just downloaded Fireworks CS6. I have not used Fireworks in a few years, but I was hoping integration with Photoshop was much smoother by now.
    I have a PSD with a background and about 50 text layers that I want to open in Fireworks so that I can export each layer individually along with the background and use save for web compression. Sadly, Photoshop does not allow either of those things in its export layers to files script.
    However, when I open my PSD in Fireworks, the layers do not come in as layers, they come in as SUBlayers. This is quite baffling to me. Why on earth would Adobe program such nonsense? If I open a PSD in Fireworks why would I want Photoshop layer to EVER be brought in as sublayers unless I actually put them in a layer group in Photoshop?
    So then I looked for an option in Fireworks to make all sublayers into individual layers, but I could see no way of doing this. Can anyone please help me figure this out.

    I can understand your missing ImageReady; that seems to be a thread that pops up with some regularity.
    But I've got a tip for you: Be sure that everything in your original Photoshop file is grouped. Period. If anything is not in a group, then assign it to one. If you do this, the file will open in Fireworks as a series of layers instead of as a series of sublayers.
    Keep in mind a few key differences between Photoshop and Fireworks. Photoshop uses a "layer" model where "groups" (i.e., folders) are optional; Fireworks uses an "object" model where "layers" (i.e., folders) are required. If you have no groups in your Photoshop document, it'll import into a single default layer in Fireworks. Add a few groups to your Photoshop document, but leave a few things ungrouped, and Fireworks will still require a layer to contain those ungrouped items, hence the introduction of sublayers to accomodate the existing groups.

  • Bulk convert to png and resize (pixelmator, graphic converter or other)?

    hi all.
    i have been looking at pixelmator and graphic converter as i have a need to both CONVERT IMAGES to png as well as to RESIZE and "RE-PIXELATE" them to some fixed pixel width. i have been finding Preview to be fantastic with the bulk resizing (you simply open all the images and then pulldown to resize, set the new size and then save). this requires that i move the resized images to a new folder so as to not over-write the original but it is extremely nice and /quick/.
    unfortunately, converting these to png in Preview appears to require me to export each individually (and then i have to go back and delete the other file types with the same names as the new png's which i don't need).
    i have been using Name Mangler which is super fantastic for bulk renaming and i am wondering if there is a methodology in either of these tools (or if there is a better tool for this) or if this would be better accomplished in something like Aperture. i /tend/ to keep information such as this residing in a FOLDER on my desktop because it is about to be uploaded to the web via ftp but if there was a great benefit to doing this in something like an Aperture database i could certainly move in that direction.
    anyone have any specific explanation of specific steps i could take in aperture for this or in other software?
    this seems like a reasonably common need (size to width, dpi and file type)...
    TIA

    Jon,
    I think the export presets in Aperture can do what you want.
    You just would have to define a custom export preset.
    Assuming the images you want to convert have been imported to Aperture, select them in the Browser and select to export the versions (File > Export > Versions).
    In the Export panel select a png export preset, then switch to "Edit"
    In the "Edit" panel duplicate the png preset, then set the pixel size you want to use and export your images.

  • Converting a Keynote document to Powerpoint file doesn't work

    I tried to convert Keynote documents to PowerPoint files that can be viewed and edited by PowerPoint users on Windows or Mac OS computers. All I got was a error. Can any one tell me how to make this work.I did every thing that was in the instructions.
    To create a PowerPoint slideshow:
    Choose File > Export and then click PowerPoint.
    Click Next.
    Type a name and choose a location for the file, and then click Export.

    Hy Kyn, thank you for answering.
    Every slide on my presentation has animated objekts. And every slide is linked (by hyperlink) to every slide on the presentation. So I want to give the user the chance to interrupt and to go to next slide. Therefore is an arrow to klick on, which has a hyperlink to next side (or do go to start, or to go back) - during the slide-animation is working.
    That works fine in keynote, but it doesn't work after the export in QT. In QT it is not possible to interrupt the sequence of the animation. When the sequence is (performed) finalized, the klick on the arrow works, and I can go to next slide.
    But interruption is not pssible.
    Tanks in advance for your answer!
    Best regards - Renate

  • Batch saving layers as individual jpegs

    I have searched the forums and haven't quite found what I was looking for.  I have assembled a wholel lot of scanned pages from my sketch pad into one psd file.  That file has guides which I use to register and align every page (each page is therefore its own layer).  Is there a way I can make an action and save off each individual layer as its own jpeg?  I set up an action but I don't know how to get photoshop to save it with a distinct namespace.  The first action I set up basically prompted me to re-name each layer as I saved it, which isn't really saving time.  What I want is for the action to start at the bottom layer and turn off the visiblity of all the layers above it, save the visible layer as a jpeg with a name based on  the layer and then turn on the next layer's visibitlity and repeat, until all layers have been saved.  Is that doable?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    I gave this a shot and it did create multiple files for each layer but there is a problem.
    If I manually "Save for web" as jpeg at 80, my jpeg weighs about 8KB.
    If I use the script to export the jpegs at "Quality" of 8, I end up with the same image at 55KB.
    Thats a big difference, is there something I am not doing in order to get the same compression?
    When you save for web at 80% are you saving at 100% size or are you also reducing the images pixel size?

  • Convert multiple layers into separate smart objects

    I have multiple layers in a document that I want to make into separate smart objects.
    If I select them and choose "convert to smart object" in the Layers Panel fly out, it flattens the layers into 1 smart object.
    Can it be done, or do I need to make each layer a smart object one at a time.
    OR... let me back up
    I have several files in Bridge, I want to "load into Photoshop layers" using the TOOLS > Batch Command BUT have each file load as a smart object.
    Either way would be great!

    While these don't use the batch command, take a look at
    from within photoshop, File>Scripts>Load Files into Stack.
    For bridge try Dr. Browns Services:
    http://www.russellbrown.com/scripts.html
    If you have cs5, you can drag files from mini bridge into an existing
    photoshop document, for smart object layers, provided you have
    your preferences under general to place or drag raster images as smart objects.

    You have ro do standalone testing of the XSLT mapping.....Interface Mapping or Interface Determination will give you output message which will be that of message mapping (the last mapping)
    What is the issue in testing the XSLT mapping alone?...may be in Stylus Studio.
    Just ensure that XSLT mapping produces proper output and then this output message of XSLT is the input to your Message Mapping.....once the entire Interface mapping gets executed then it would mean that all the included mapping programs work fine.

  • Convert Indesign file to editable Powerpoint presentation?

    I know I can save an indesign file to a pdf and convert to powerpoint from there, but not everything translates. Drop shadows, some dingbats, and some text formatting do not translate, so I have to edit within powerpoint.
    I read about a plugin called ID2Office v2.0. Has anyone heard of it or used it?
    Thanks!

    Hello
    I represent Recosoft. We make ID2Office (http://www.recosoft.com/products/id2office). This exports/converts InDesign CS5-CC 2014 files to PowerPoint, Word and Keynote formats. You can view the Youtube video I've posted below how it converts the file:

  • Saving layers as individual files all at once

    Since I am creating files to use in PrEl I need multiple layers to become multiple tracks. Is there any way to simply save all the layers of my files as individual files without unhiding each layer and then saving each file one by one.

    Have you also asked on the PremEl forum? I do not believe that PSE has any means of doing this - except in this special context, I cannot imagine why anyone would want to. I was wondering if PremEl has an import facility to deal with it for you.
