  • IDOC not to be converted to XML-IDOC

    Hi
there is a setting you can make in XI so that IDOCS sent to XI from R/3 are not converted to XML-IDOC.
    That parameter is XML_CONVERSION.
I found out from SAP today that this will only work if you are sending from R/3 to R/3 via XI.
But I want this to work for R/3 to ThirdParty via XI.
So SAP are saying this will not work.
OK - so does anybody have a simple XSLT I can use that will strip out the XML tags so I have a plain old IDOC ?

    Hi,
1.if, so then ask him to provide SAP at target (in this case its possible)...there is no other option.(as of now SAP does't provide these kind of functionality)
2.otherwise if he required the same structure at target then go with IDoc...PI...File scenario
Please explain to your end user clearly about IDoc functionality..hope he will understand..

  • Unable to convert partner to IDoc sender partner

In XI 2.0,we are facing a problem while trying to send idoc out of XI to SAP R3 system. We created Business Systems without specifying ALE logical system name, but later we corrected this.
Even then we are getting this error:
    <SAP:Code p1="I::000" p2="SRMSUS_BUSS_SYS" p3="" p4="">IDOC_ADAPTER.SENDER_BSI_INCORRECT</SAP:Code>
<SAP:Text language="EN">Unable to convert partner to IDoc sender partner</SAP:Text>
We have created port in IDX1 in XI for R3 system.
    Suggest us ?
    regards
    Vishal

    Vishal,
Add your agency and schema values in both party and receiver idoc channel (tab identifiers),
    it should be something like
BS_ (your R/3 system system), Schema ALE#KU# (KU if its customer)

  • Convert custom outbound idoc to CSV file

    Hi
I need to send generate a flat file that will be sent to a non SAP partner. A requirement is that the messages go via  the IDOC system. This makes it possible to resend them if necessary.
    So there are 2 stages
    1) create IDOC. I have done this
    2) read IDOC and convert to flat file
    stage 1
    =====
I have defined a custom IDOC, partner profile etc and developed a Function Module to create the outbound IDOCs The FM is triggered by a message in the NAST table. . This works OK.
So I now have custom outbound IDOCs in the DB with status 30 (ready for dispatch) (WE05).
    Stage 2
    ======
Now I want to convert these custom IDOCs into simple flat files (CSV like).
How do I go about making this happen? I guess I need to develop another Function Module. But I dont know how to tie this FM into the system. My questions are:
How will the FM be triggered
what is the interface of the FM
will I need to configure a 2nd partner profile for stage 2 (which is fine)
    Peter
Note1 - there is no EDI converter available so must solve this in ABAP
Note2 - I do not want to create the flat file at the same time as I create the IDOC. This would defeat the purpose of going via IDOCs

No, EDI is only one method of transferring data.  There's no need for an EDI subsystem in this case.
To the OP, since it seems the you have decided that you must use IDOC processing in this case, I would go ahead and use a file port (or an XML port).  You will drop an IDOC formatted flat file into the specified location (for each IDOC, based on your logical file definition).  For you, this will merely be a temporary holding location.  You can then use a simple program to read the file, re-format it, send it, then move the original file to a 'processed' location.  Of course, you could also just throw away the generated files and read the IDOCs directly with the standard functions available and (re)generate/send the files as required.
It's often done this way with 3rd party EDI providers, where the company in question is required to use EDI by their customers but do not have the required systems in place.

  • How to convert XML into idocs and post in ECC using PI

    Hello All,
I want to configure the scenario like this MDM->PI->ECC. Using FTP I am getting able to fetch the xml file from MDM Server Ready folder. Now, I need to convert this XML file into Idocs and post it in ECC. Can anyone provide me step by step configuration in PI to achieve this. I have configured communication channel with adapter type Idoc in Itegration Builder. But, I am not sure where it will do the conversion of XML into Idoc and how do post it to ECC. I am working first time on PI 7.1. I have worked on XI 3.0 in 2006-2007. Any help to configure this step by step shall be appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Hemal

In you have the XML from MDM you have to use the mapping provided by the funtionals in the Funtional specification documents. once you did it you must configure the Receiver IDoc Adapter. and later dont fonget to configure properly the ReceiverAgreement.
as you receive the docuement from MDM via FTP, thats not a SAP System that means that you have to define PI as the sender of the IDoc,otherwise you will have the Error "Unable to convert the sender service to an ALE logical system"
to do that in the receiver Agreement>Header Mapping>Sender System-->Select PI server.
Take in mind to send IDocs to any SAP System, the system that send it must be a SAP system too. thats why you configure it
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/5d/112d20f6ce6c46ba66afb98d278fbd/frameset.htm
Another thing is you have configure the ALE distribution Model.

  • Converting an existing iDoc to an XML file

    Hi experts
I want to create an xml file from an iDoc. Is there a program/function module in R/3 that can achieve this? I am running ECC 6.0
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Murthy,
Thanks for the quick response. I am new to iDocs, so the document is not very explanatory
I created the TCP/IP Connection in sm59, but the connection test fails. Is this expected?
Also, is that all that is required from the first four steps?
1 Creation of logical system for the sender system.
2 Assignment of logical system to the client.
3 Create a logical system for the recipient
4 Creation of RFC destination (Connection type:TCP/IP)
    Thanks in advance

  • Converting ISO20022 XML Payment file to PAYEXT iDoc using PI 7.1

    Hi All,
As per my requirement :  R/3 generates ISO20022 XML Payment file . PI will pick the file and converts into PAYEXT  Idoc and send back to the same R/3.
I have some doubts regarding this...
1)Is ISO20022 XML Payment file also like normal xml file in R/3  OR  different.
    2) Can we use file adapter to pick the file.
    3)Any modules required in CC.
4)Can I go with normal file to Idoc scenario.

  • How To Convert IDOC to FLAT File ?

    Dear Expert,
My requirement is to convert the IDOC to FLAT File using XI. How can i do this. I have gone thru the Guide How to convert IDOC to Flat file using ABAP mapping but it does not talk about what are all the stpes i need to do in IR & ID.
I am ready to use ABAP mapping since i am an ABAPER.
Is it recommended to use ABAP mapping since we expect daily 500 IDOCs to be converted to a flat file & transfer this flat file to some FTP location.
Can anybody tell me the stpes how to do this in XI. The steps i am expecting like how to define the Data Type / Message type / Mapping etc & how to configure the channel ?
The Flat file i want to convert should look like the way IDOC file gets created in FILE FTP port in SAP.
    Regards,
    Umesh

I think there is some confusion... Let me explian my problem once again.
I want to convert the Shipment IDOC as it is the moment the shipment documents gets created in R/3. I dont want to collect many IDOCs & make as single file. For each IDOC it should create a Flat File.
Secondly if i have to MAP the whole IDOC the graphical mapping is too difficult.
So instead of that can i use ABAP/XSLT/JAVA whichever is easy. ?
Since i am ABAPER i can use ABAP mapping.
The Output file should look like as below.
    EDI_DC40  9000000000011785526620 3012  OILSHI01                                                    OILSH1                                           SAPP01    LS  SAPCLNT900                                                                                A000000018LS  WBIMQSI                                                                                20071031161506                                                                                20071031161506

  • Receive XML with Business Connector, convert to IDoc

    Hi all,
I am trying to receive XML files with SAP Business Connector (4.7) and convert them to IDOC and then forward the IDoc file to SAP System.
At the moment, I have to do the testing for this.
I don't know how to send the XML file to the special port (5555) of the server. I read that there are serveral possibilities like http, mail, ftp. Can anybody give me an advice how this works?
Next problem is to get the created IDoc file to the SAP system. The SAP server is added in the SAP Business Connector and the connection works.
I would be very pleased if anybody could help me.
    Thanks in advance!

    hi,
What i understand from your scenario is XI> BC> SAP system.
    1)XI-->BC
U need to configure XI's-BCAdapeter(as receiver).
in URL specify teh follwoing :
    http://<hostname>:5555/invoke/folder1.folder2./<service-to-be invoked>
together with the username and password.
    2) BC--> SAP
To invoke an IDoc, go to Routing rules and specify the sender, receiver, and the Message Type(IDoc name). In the next page, specify the name of the flow service to be created. and the Flowservice to be invoked whenever a message comes in.
Hope this gives you some input.

  • Convertion of PO to SO (Inbound idoc/ALE)

    HI,
i have requirement to convert inbound PO idoc into SO at execution.
Can anybody guide me how this can be achieved?
    Thanks.
Moderator message: please search for available information/documentation/previous discussions before asking.
Edited by: Thomas Zloch on Nov 1, 2010 1:08 PM

    Hi Sanjay,
Do you want to create one SO along with PO in PO inbound FM ??? I think you are using the standard FM. So you can do the coding to create the SO from in the inbound FM exit or Badi. Better if can create one wrapper FM to create the SO and call that FM in background task, so that it will not hamper the inbound FM performance.
Also you can achieve the same functionality using output types. Just create one output types and attached with the EF in NACE and process it as special function.
    Thanks

  • File-to-Idoc error (using business sender service)

    Hello,
My scenario is Flat file to IDoc.  I am using a business service as my sender system.  I did put in a logical system name in the business service and I have added the logical system in SALE.
The error I am getting is <SAP:Code area="IDOC_ADAPTER">ATTRIBUTE_IDOC_METADATA</SAP:Code>
<SAP:P1>MSGGUID 526719BA7E874E3906EEF45B43806D5C: Tag CULL_GR_RECORD found instead of tag IDOC BEGIN=</SAP:P1>
This is confusing to me because the CULL_GR_RECORD is the name of my data record of the file that is converted into an idoc within XI.
Can someone please help me with this?  I would really appreciate it.  I need to solve this tonight.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    >><i> I am using a business service as my sender system.</i>
This is fine as ur sender is file.
I suggest deleting the matadata in IDX2 and then rerun the entire interface.
Make sure ur IDoc is imported properly to the IR. If yes, test ur mapping locally once.
    Regards,
    Divija.
