Image size changes when moving an image between Lightroom and CC.
I opened a .dng image in LR and then opened it in the Develop module. I clicked on Crop Overlay and then on the ‘As Shot’ drop down menu (the lock is closed) and cropped to 11 x 17 and clicked ‘Done’-.
I click Cntl-E and the image opens in CC. There I click on Image > Image Size and the Image Size is 13.288 inches by 20.533 inches.
Why does the image size change?
I believe there is a menu to control the size of the image and I've looked everywhere I can think of in LR and CC, I googled various descriptions and I checked two of Scott Kelby's books, but I just can't figure out how to keep the image a consistent size when moving between LR and CC.
Help!...Please?

In Lightroom all editing is undoable/nondestructive.
Hence a crop of 3x2 is not inches, centimetres, pixels or anything else. It is jst a ratio. When a file is exported, either to PS or disk, then the crop ratio has size determined in respect of pixels and inches or cms.
So my 6000x5000 pixel image I will crop to 3x2 that leaves (before exporting) a 6000x4000 file.
Now when exported it can be set to export at
100pixels per inch and will end up at 60x40" when printed.
200pixels per inch will end up at 30x20"
300ppi will end at 20x13.3"
You will notice in the Crop Tool there are no size denominations such as inches or centimetres as an image file only has pixels and the determination of size is done through exporting or printing.

I have images in PDF and when I try to convert it to Microsoft word, the "check marks (wingdings)" turn into the letter "D" and the rest have a lot of misspelled words.

Microsoft Forms and Microsoft Visual Basic while opening the Excel file

Hello,
I have issues with 2010 64 bit Office Pro Plus Excel. Whenever I open an Excel file (97-2003 worksheet) which has macros then I get below 2 errors in sequence.
Please note that all macro settings are enabled and below are my system configs.
Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit,
MS Office Pro Plus 2010 64 bit with SP2.
Googled all and tried but in vein and also note that I dont have any .exd files under ../forms to delete. Please help.
Please note that for others with same system config/office versions and same 97-2003 worksheet it works so issues is only in my system.

Your macro's will not run in a Office 64 environment only in a 32bit environment. The 64bit environment has a whole different setup and macro's created in an earlier 32 bit environment will stop working.
So if you want to use them in a 64 Office environment you have to rewrite the macro's.

I'm trying to convert a Image format(JPEG,bmp,tiff) to PDF and then to PDF/A. I could able to convert Image to PDF successfully.
I'm getting the below error while converting the PDF(that was generated) to PDF/A.

I've just read a footnote in the API documentation which indicates that the transformPDF function cannot be used for this purpose:

How can I better improve the color of images between Photoshop and Premiere?

I have trouble getting true colors between Photoshop and Premiere CS6.
What can I do to solve this situation?

Premiere Pro works internally with colors in an RGB (red, green, blue) color space. If you want to edit video clips you create in Photoshop in Premiere Pro, create the clips in RGB.
If you want to broadcast the final movie it is best to ensure, in Photoshop, that the colors in your image are broadcast-safe. Assign the appropriate destination color space—for example, SDTV (Rec. 601)—to the document in Photoshop.

Screen vibrates when booting up. It fluctuates very fast between Safari and Microsoft Messenger. Back and forth .... flicking away .... back and forth, very, very, quickly. And then when its completely finished booting, everything is OK.

I sign in and when Safari opens, whilst Microsoft Messenger is downloading, the monitor screen vibrates between Safari and Messenger at a very, very, fast pace. Back and forth, back and forth, alternating between the two. When the booting process is completed the computer is fine. Everything is OK. Anyone know what is causing this, and what to do about it?

YES .... but they have always been set to open at login. I must admit that if Messenger isn't set to open at login this doesn't happen. But even though Safari opens at login, the opening page in Safari doesn't open; I have to click on Safari again, (when I am reminded after the computer has booted-up), because the monitor screen is just blank! Then after a click on the Safari icon the screen fills up in a second. Gees, what have I unintentionally done?

Blank size between Sun and Microsoft

i use JTextPane to input and display data in gui,after save its data into database,i will output data into rtf file which will be opened by word. my problem is: i found Java's blank size is not equal to Microsoft's blank size,so cause the data which aligned as i request in JTextPane cannot align in word file. anyone can help guide what's difference between Java's blank size and Microsoft's blank size, what's their scale?

Analyser for Excel and Microsoft Visual J# Framework ???

In BIP, I open the report sample "Employee Salary Report" with "Advanced Page Totals" template and then I click "Analyzer for Excel"
After activate the macro and the report be opened in Excel, I choose the option "Oracle BI Publisher -> Connection" and a dialog box appears with a message to invite me to download (it give me an URL) the following file :
"Microsoft Visual J# Framework version 2.0".
I follow the instruction to install this package (I try the english and french version) but after reboot, in Excel, instead of having the windows connection to BIP, the message to install microsoft product, continues to appear.
I don't know why and where is the problem.
Plateforme
Laptop with :
- BIP standalone 10.1.3.3.2 (with preference "UI Language" and "Report Local" in french) and his desktop tool
- Bise1 Database (I launch only the bise1 database instance to use the OE and HR schema)
- Windows XP Pro SP3 in fr
- Excel 2003 SP3 in fr
If you have the same one or an explanation...

Now it work.
To be consistent with the Framework 3.0 uninstall, I also unistall "Module language support of Microsoft. NET Framework 3.0 FRA".
However, I did not uninstall "Microsoft Visual J# 2.0 Redistributable Package - SE"

How can i do this?
I've tried this connectionstring, but it only works on my local machine that runs on Windows XP:

Syncing images between iPhone and PS Elements/Organizer

I just installed PS Elements 13 and wanted to import my iPhone images. I set up Revel app but when I am in PS Elements/Organizer, it doesn't show the images that were uploaded to the cloud. Is there a step I am not completing?

Java and Microsoft Visual Source Safe

Hi,
We have content in text files stored checked in to Visual Source Safe.
I want to provide a web interface that allows users to update this content.
To do so I will need to programmatically check in/check out files from VSS.
Has anybody implemented a similar system in Java? ideas where to start?
Note: I am aware that Eclipse has a plugin for VSS so this must be possible

We will have an internal box that a user goes to and

thought that only that box requires any kind of VSS
plug in.
Assuming i am stuck with VSS, then I would have hoped
to be able to find an API that enables me to supply
details of the VSS ini to establish a connection and
then call simple methods like checkin() etc. Seems
like its going to be a lot more complicated than that.SourceAnyWhere by Dynamsoft offers a pure Java client for VSS (both GUI client version and command line client version provided ). Have a look at http://www.dynamsoft.com/products/saw_overview.aspx
It also provides a Java SDK for VSS ( I had not try this). I think the Java client would have solved the problem.

Discrepancies between iwork and microsoft office when viewing

i have saved a document created on iwork as a microsoft word document. However, when opened from microsoft office, the document appears differently - the layout has been changed. Specifically, the content from page one on the iwork file spreads onto page two of the work file, if that makes sense. Is there a way to prevent this? It isn't ideal as it messes up the flow of the document and makes it look messy. Thanks

Even if you maintained exactly the same version of all the fonts which is as close as you are going to get, the difference in rendering engines will mean things will move and some features will not transfer at all.

Interestingly, for the poor folks who have produced Microsoft OpenType fonts for OpenType line layout, the problem is that Microsoft Word customers expect to use Microsoft Word as appearance format. This means not only that the font must be enabled for editable embedding, but that as well the simple CMAP Character Map shaping as the supplementary GSUB Glyph Substitution shaping must be communicated so that the measure of the line does not change when one user enables ligation and passes that Word file to another user.
The future for fonts is that full embedding is enforced in appearance-oriented page description models such as PDFXML and XPS, just as tagging of source character strings in the universal character set using unique markers for writing systems is enforced in these models. This direction in development will only work if the direction of demand is changed by education of everyday endusers with regard to replacing the broken Bics on the market with Montblancs -:).

Ive seen some stuff on Oracle demos that simply mention Outlook integration. I use the office plug in but cant see its impact on Outlook. Does anyone know if it is possible to import email distribution lists into OBIEE?

It depends on why you want iWork or Office. If you work in a group where Office is the main collaboration app, you need it and it's worth it. If you work independently and don't plan to do much collaboration with Office users, but you still need a nice productivity suite, iWork might be a bargain for you.
There are many situations where buying both Office and iWork is the right choice. If you're not sure what you will do with either one, save your money and use TextEdit. If your needs are very specific, there are many third-party apps that may suit you better than either iWork or Office. If you describe your needs, there are many users here who will be eager to offer specific suggestions.
