You didn't enclude the sub.vis and these issues are usually addressed on the version conversion board (see the floating link at the top on the board) but here is your vi.  Broken since it is missing depanancies

  • LabView Run-Time Engine 2009 installation failure

    Hi,
I have problem to install Labview Run-Time Engine 2009.
    This error occur:
(The installation of NI is VC2008MSMs x86 failed due to the following error.
The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. That can occur when you run
Windows in Safe mode or Windows Installer is not installed correctly.
Contact your support personnel for assistance.)
I've tried to reinstall and reregistrate windows installer, I've even tried to upgrade windows installer to version 4.5
    I've installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable x86.
Im runing Windows XP Service Pack 3
(Microsoft Windows Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.100427-1636_ Service Pack 3))
I have no problem installing other programs, I can for example install labview runtime engine 7.1.1.
    So my question is:
How to solve this problem, how can I make an installation of Labview Run-Time Engine 2009 on this computer that gives me the error described at the begining?
    Best regards
    Simon

    Hi,
I have already looked at that forum issue.
So I have already tried to delete all keys in regedit.
The problem is, if I continue with my installation, about 10 other new issues will appear.
And my installation will not complete, it will fail.
The installer does not install, it will tell me that the installation failed, and it will only install a few things.
Not all the things that I need to run my program.
See attached pictures ibn zip file to see some errors I receive, I only picked a few of them out.
So when I then tries to start my program I will recive the error in picture program error. (Run-time engine error)
So it's not only that the installer tells me that the installation doesn't go through, it doesn't.
    Best regards Simon

Could anyone help me to convert the code to labview 6.1

You can try creating a 6.1 driver yourself. All the IVI drivers are simple wappers around a Call Library Node Function into the DLL created in LabWindows/CVI. The LabVIEW driver is created from the Tools>Instrumentation>Import CVI Instrument Driver selection. Download the CVI driver and install it. The converter will require some files installed in the \VXIpnp\WinNT (.fp) and \VXIpnpWinNT\bin (.dll) folders.

  • Uograding from labview 8.5 to 2009

I'm thinking about upgrading from LabVIEW 8.5 to 2009.  We currently call a large number of VIs from TestStand 4.01 - What risks do you see in making this move (i.e. drivers, breaking code)

The same risks one would see in updating, from, say 7 to 8, or 6.1 to 8.5. If you're using Toolkits then you should first check to make sure there are 2009-compatible versions of toolkits. As far as drivers are concerned, it's the same thing. What drivers are you using? If it's DAQ, then just make sure you get the latest DAQ software.
Some things will be different, but nobody can predict what problems you're going to have because we don't know what your code is doing. Your best bet is to look over the Release Notes for 2009 and see if you are using anything that has been drastically changed in 2009.

  • How can I calling LabView DLL within LabView and pass similar Data Types?

I am trying to use an Instrument Driver, which is created in LabView6.1 as a DLL. At this point I have only LabView to test this DLL. I was wondering, is there easy way to find out what sort of Parameter or Data Type I should be using.
How can I pass the following data with in LabView:
    LVRefnum as Type?
    LVBoolean as Type?
    TD1 (a structure) as Type?
It is funny to see that I am able to create a DLL in labview but having trouble calling it within LabView. I thought, it would be easier to test the DLL within the same environment.
Basically, I am more worried about the VISA calls that are used in the driver to communicate with instrument. Because, there is no link to VISA32.dll in
the header file, is that handled by the LV Run-time engine? I guess more details are needed on using the LabView DLL within LabView from National Instrument Technical Support.

A LVRefNum seems to be an unsigned long data type (32bit). You can cast it
in LV then use that as a parameter to call the DLL. (an Occurrence type
    seems to be a Ulong32)
When you created the DLL what was the resulting type for the LVRefNum?
