Convert MS Reporting Services Reports to WebI

Does any one know a tool to convert reports

Hi,
I've never heard of such tools.  Obviously those are 2 different vendors.
You can't even convert Crystal Reports to Web Intelligence or the other way around!  Even Deski to Webi is not always perfect...
Anyway, unfortunately you'll have to rebuilt those reports.  Webi supports SSAS as a source and SAP has other tools able to connect to OLAP sources.
Sorry!

  • SharePoint - Web Part - SQL Server Reporting Services Report Viewer Error.

    Hi,
I was just having a bit of a fiddle with the differen't web-parts available to add on our local SharePoint site, and as one of my tasks is to have a report automatically open when the page is opened i thought i would try to add the web-part 'SQL Server Reporting
Services Report Viewer' just to see the outcome.
Now, I don't much care about viewing the report at this time, but imediately after trying to add the web part i am being displayed with an error and no matter how much i navigate away from the page or close the browser the particular link to the page i was
trying to insert the web-part into now displays an error.
The error simply says 'An unexpsected error has occured' with various 'Correlation ID:' each time.
Now i have a link to other parts or subsites of that SharePoint site and they work just fine, it's just when i try to click on the page where i wanted to put the web-part in it
still comes up with an error. This page just so happens to be the home page so it really does need to be fixed.
    Please help!?
    Many Thanks,
    Plain_Clueless

    Hi again,
Sorry for the bother, We have now fixed the issue for the time being.. all that was needed was a simple '?contents=1' at the end of the url which takes you to a menu where you can delete the
necessary web-part that was causing the trouble.
As for actually implementing the report onto SharePoint.. in future i will make Dev pages instead.. and it seems i may need to contact the admin side of building so they configure 'SQL Reporting
    Services Report Viewer' properly.
    Thanks a lot though!

  • SharePoint 2013 SQL Server Reporting Services Report Viewer (Web Part) - IE Tab Title

    Hi,
We are using a wiki Library to create page with SQL Server Reporting Services Report Viewer Web Part.
Everything is working great except for the Internet Explorer tab, instead of giving me the name of the Report it is showing the name of the web application. All the other wiki pages is working fine.
    Regards,
    Social Technet Microsoft.

    Hi Brysk,
Is there any difference between the problemaitc page containing the webpart and other working wiki pages for showing the title name in IE tab?
The IE tab should show the information in tag<title> of the page, please check if it is correct for that page (using F12).
Also check if it is related to IE browser compatibility issue.

  • Unable to insert sql server reporting services report viewer webpart

    Hello,
We are trying to add a SQL Server Reporting Services Report Viewer and when we click add we get the following error message
The file you imported is not valid. Verify that the file is a Web Part description file (*.webpart or *.dwp) and that it contains well-formed XML.
Does anyone know what the fix to this is?

    Hi,
The Report Viewer Web Part is a custom Web Part that is installed by the Reporting Services Add-in for SharePoint Products and associated with report definition (.rdl) files that are processed by a Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services report
    server.
To install the Web Part, you must run Setup for the Reporting Services Add-in. You should not install or uninstall the Web Part independently. It is part of the add-in and can only be installed through the add-in setup package. The Report Viewer Web Part
file name is ReportViewer.dwp. It is located in the Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\15\template\features\reportserver folder and should not be moved to other folders.
To use the Web Part, you must have installed and configured the Reporting Services Add-in and configured the report server for SharePoint integration.

  • PS2013 / SQL 2012 - A SQL Reporting Services Report with more than one filter connection looses connection in a site template

    Hi,
I created in a sub site not linked to a project to become a site template. I inserted two SQL Reporting Services reports web part that require the same two dates for an interval and the name of the project in a page of the site and connected
to three filters, two for date and one for text and I got the page below (only one of the reports shown).
Look that all parameters needed by the report are linked to the filters above the report.
Then I save the site as template with all contentes and assign it to the EPTs and create a new project or replace the site of existing project site. What I got is:
Look that the filter connection of the dates are lost (in both reports) and the order of the filters changed.
I deleted and retried to connect the filters in diferent order and language, but I did not get any success.
The BI Central Data Connectivity resource is activated in the template site and in the site collection.
Is there any solution for this?

    Hi,
Correction: this happens only with "Date Filter" web part!

  • How to print pdf file in SQL Server Reporting services report using command prompt?

Is there a way to automatically print a SQL Server Reporting services report on command prompt? For eg: We can save a pdf file using rs.exe utility. I want to print a pdf using rs.exe utility. Is it possible? I don't want to install any 3rd party software.

Thanks Simon for replying to my question.
In oracle form, there is oracle command to print the report from command prompt with the help of rwrun.exe
    e.g: rwrun.exe   REPORT="D:\Test\REP_25\MLA.REP" DESNAME="testprinter" DESTYPE="PRINTER" P_FORMNAME="MLA.FMX" P_SPRACHE="E" P_SPRACHE_NR2="1" P_WHERE_BEDINGUNG="order by land_nr" USERID="test/test.world" PSV_NAME="PSV_DEMO" PSV_JOB_ID="PS$9583" RECURSIVE_LOAD="NO"
    BATCH="YES" NONBLOCKSQL="NO" ARRAYSIZE="1" PARAMFORM="NO" ERRFILE="c:\temp\psv16.tmp"<
and to save the report we just need to change DESNAME="c:\temp\OC_100001349.pdf" DESTYPE="FILE" in above command instead of DESNAME="testprinter" DESTYPE="PRINTER".
DESNAME and DESTYPE are the input parameters of the respective report.
In SSRS, we can run the file from the command prompt and save it.
    rs -i "C:\Users\pujarswa\Documents\reports\new\LoadReport.rss" -s ww2004760:80/ReportServer_MSSQL -v fileName="C:\Users\pujarswa\Desktop\TipsReportLoad.pdf"
    -v reportPath="/TipsReport/LoadListTabular" -t -v format="PDF" -v LandNr=4 -u ap\swati -p test@# -e Exec2005
But we cannot use same command for printing as you said we need to create another script for printing files.
I have gone through the links but I dont want to use Adobe Acrobat Reader exe for printing because client it may not have Adobe Acrobat Reader on their machine.
Also I want to pass a input parameter as type="Printer" to my report which will print directly for me and same I can acheive in command prompt passing type="Printer" fileName="C:\Users\pujarswa\Desktop\TipsReportLoad.pdf"

  • Reporting Services Report Subscription. Invalid path that has spaces within path

I am trying to have subscriptions for reports in this folder: servername\Admissions\REPORTS\End Of Month Reports\Reporting Services Report Subscriptions
It keeps coming back invalid path and its because of the spaces for the foldername. If I send it to the REPORTS folder, I have no problem. How can I fix this for a shared network folder?

    Hi jachopich56.
According to your description, you come across an issue when distributing a report to a file share.
In Reporting Services, when we distribute a report to a file share, we must specify an existing folder as a target folder. We should make sure the folder we specify is accessible over a network. When specifying the target folder, we should use UNC format.
In your scenario, please check if you can access the folder with UNC path you specified in the subscription. If issue persists, please check the Reporting Service error log (default location: %programfiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\<SQL Server Instance>\Reporting
Services\LogFiles) around the time that the issue occurs. Please post the detail error log for our analysis if possible.

  • Can't access Reporting Services Manager through web browser.

    Hello,
I want to start using SQL Server Reporting Services. I'm trying to get access to Report Manager through Internet Explorer so I can set up System-level permissions. I'm running SQL Server 2008 R2 on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1.
I didn't set up this instance of SQL Server so I don't know a lot about it's configuration. I browsed the "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.<SQL Instance>\Reporting Services" folder and found the following items:
LogFiles folder, ReportManager folder, ReportServer folder, RSTempFiles folder, sql_rs_keyfile.dll.
Given the ReportManager folder I found inside the Reporting Services directory, I assumed the url for Report Manager would be http://<server name>/ReportManager but I get a 404 error when I try that. Then, I found on some MSDN article that the default
URL for Report Manager is http://<server name>/Reports. When I tried that I got an error that said:
"The underlying connection was closed: Could not established trust relationship for the SSL\TLS secure channel".
I should mention I'm not very knowledgeable with SQL Server so I may be approaching this in the wrong way.
I appreciate any help that you can provide. Thanks!

    Hello,
Based on your description, you configure Report Manager access through an SSL-encrypted channel by binding a certificate.
Please verify that the certificate is installed in the Console Root\Certificates\Trusted Root Certification Authority of the local machine.
For more details, please refer to the follwoing blog about similar issue:

  • QSUF (Query string url filter) and SQL Server reporting services report viewer parameters

    Hi,
    this is my issue:
I have a SQL Server reporting services web part on a page with a report with 1 parameter, lets say it's a client list
Then i have a QSUF that will be used to filter the clients list through the URL
However, once i connect the filter and the report viewer web part, the parameter goes away and is no longer accessible
I'd like to somehow keep the parameter visible, in case there is no parameter sent through the URL, i would like the user to be able to choose a client from the parameter drop down list
I saw that there is a "send empty if no values are passed" option, but i can't seem to get this working properly and i don't know if this option will make the parameter visible again
    Any help would be appreciated
    Thanks.

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that the query string url filter web part not worked well with SQL server reproting services web part.
Did you use the Wiki page layout in your environment?
You can change the page to a web part page, then check whether it work.
There is a similar thread for your reference.

  • How to get the project name in a Reporting Services Report in a Project Site?

    Hi,
I developed a report using Reporting Services where I need to choose a project to see the report. I want to include it in a Project Site template using a SSRS Web part. As the report will be in a project web site, I would like the report appears automatically
showing the project of the site without the need of choose of the project.
Can it be done without developing a complex code?

Unfortunately there are a number of ways to navigate to a project site. (From Project Center is another) - Covering them all is not an option.
Like I said before there are two options, using a server-side web part - or using client-side code like the following: (just put this in a content editor on the page of your report and it will ensure there is a ProjUid on the query string)
    <script
    type="text/javascript">

  • PS 2013 - Autofilter in SQL Reporting Services Reports

    Hi,
Is it possible to have an autofilter option on the columns of a Reporting Services table in BI?
I am using Project Server 2013 and Reporting Services 2013.
    Thank you.
Best regards, Ricardo Segawa - Segawas Projetos / Microsoft Partner

    Hi Paul,
The report is actually a dashboard and some of the tables cannot be made in Excel due to its layout. But this particular table where I need autofilter can be done by Excel Service.
I think one possible solution is to combine both reports in SRSS and in Excel in one PerformancePoint report. I think there is a master filter option to syncronize these tables in both reports, isn`t it?
    Thank you.

  • How to show or publish the TFS - SQL Server Reporting Services reports in SharePoint dashboard?

    Hello,
We have configured SharePoint site and SSRS for a team project.
Foll. is the SharePoint site for the team project. When we click on the REPORTS link, it redirects us to the SQL Server Reporting Services website.
My question is: How can I show or publish the reports from  SQL Server Reporting Services into SharePoint so that I can view the reports on SharePoint dashboard rather than having to go to the SSRS URL?

    Hi Nachiket,
If you configure Reporting service for your TFS, then you can view the reports in report manger site when you click click report on Team Explorer. And SharePoint is a collaboration website product that offers deep integration with Office products like Word,
Outlook, and Excel. You can save your team project related files in your SharePoint site. Check this
    page for more details.
If you want to view reports that generated by reporting service on your SharePoint site, you might need to save the report in Excel and upload it to SharePoint site.

  • SQL Reporting Services report hyperlink error

I have an issue were experiencing with SQL SCCM Reporting Services
When we run reports in SQL RS and the reports have are able to be drilled into detail by selecting the eg. computer name we find that we get the following issue.
"The item '/ConfigMgr_CEN/Hardware - General/Computer information for a specific computer' cannot be found. (rsItemNotFound) " by default all of the other reports are fine its just some of the reports that have the option to drill into detail by selcting an item on the report I get the mentioned error.
    Many thanksMomo

    Hi,
Please follow Kent's instructions below. Basically we host reports under a root folder and then group them under specific categories. For instance in the above case, the report "Computer Information for a specific computer" should be located under /ConfigMgr_CEN/Hardware - General/ - basically if you open http://servername/reports then you should see a root folder called ConfigMgr_CEN. Click on that folder and you should find a folder called Hardware - General and if you click on that folder you should see the report. The parent report expects this precise path as the location for the drilldown report. So if you have somehow moved/copied the SQL RS report to a different folder the drilldown from the parent report will not work.
Also can you tell me from which report is the drilldown not working for you? I will take a look at it on my end as well just to  be doubly sure.
    Thanks,
    bhaskar
