It sounds like you have a PDF that doesn't have cell borders that you'd like to convert to an Excel document. If that's correct, then the answer would be yes. You should be able to convert the file to an Excel document, however the quality of the formatting within Excel is really dependent upon how the file was originally setup when converted to PDF. PDF does not contain columns, rows, formats, styles, or other aspects of word processing or spreadsheet file formats.
This is because PDF is decidedly not a word processing or spreadsheet file format or something "like" one of those.
(see ISO 32000 for what PDF "is")
What can optimize the export of PDF page content is to start with a well-formed tagged PDF (ISO 14289-1, PDF/UA-1 compliant).
Without that export is what it is and one performs whatever content cleanup is needed using the native application for the export file (MS Word or Excel).

Is there any funct module to convert list to pdf without using memory, as I am using Convert_to_PDF func module which outputs last page only when its running in Background.
But my req is to output all the Pages in the PDF format.

Converting Word 2007 to PDF without Balloons

I converted a Word 2007 document with Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional.
The issue that I am having is the word documents has Track changes and balloons. I want to convert the word document to pdf without the balloons showing up..
I turned off the Balloons in Word and converted the word doc to pdf. But the balloons show up in the PDF document that I converted and they show up traucated. How do I convert the word 2007 document to pdf without the balloons.
Any help is appericated.

Convert ABAP list output to PDF without spool

We have used the FM 'CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF' to convert the list output to PDF. It creates the spool number in SP01 and PDF is getting generated.
But, in our SAP ECC 6.0 server all spools are redirected to printer by default and get printed because it configured like that. We requested BASIS people to reconfigure but they said no for a single report.
So we need to find the alternate solution to generate the PDF without spool. We have searched in sdn, but didnot get any alternate solution.
Please help us in this regard.

I'm sorry that you're having trouble converting a document. For starters, have you verified that your account is active? (You can check by logging in to www.adobe.com and checking under My Subscriptions and Services). Aside from that, I'll need a little more info to get to the bottom of your problem.
Are you trying to convert the file from within Reader, or directly via the ExportPDF website?
What operating system and browser are you using?
How large is the file that you're trying to convert? (There's a file-size limit of 100 MB.)
Is the computer that you're using networked?
Do other files convert without error?

Convert pdf to word doc-but don't have the export option.

I want to convert a pdf (that I got from an email) into a Word doc so I can edit it the way I want to. However, for some reason now I don't have the 'Export' option in my File drop down list.
Funny thing is, I've converted the document once already and have entirely forgotten how I did it obviously!
I've made so many changes in my first conversion I want to start over.
why don't I have the 'Export' option? Or ... when I do a 'save as' and chose 'word doc' it only does a copy - paste type save - where I can't make any changes. It's like it puts it into a text box or something.

This usually happens when you're dealing with a very poor quality scanned document that doesn't have enough data for the Acrobat OCR engine to actually process.

OCR is enabled by default when you convert a PDF to Word via the ExportPDF website. Just make sure that you're selecting the correct language for character recognition.
If you're converting to Word from within Reader, it is possible to disable OCR. If you're encountering issues where there are odd characters in the converted Word file, you may be running into font issues. A good troubleshooting technique is to disable OCR. Add/Remove a password to an individual PDF without navigating entire security process?

Is there a procedure/plug-in/script/utility that will allow me to add/remove a password to a single PDF without creating a batch script?
I create many (dozens) PDF's throughout the course of a a day, either as an export from InDeisgn CS5.5 or via printing to the Adobe Acrobat Converter. I would simply create watched folders on my desktop to add or remove a password but I haven't found a way to identify security-enabled PDF files without having to open the file.
I have only two scenarios for creating PDF files as it relates to security. The first includes Printing: HIGH RESOLUTION and Changes Allowed: NONE. The second includes Printing: LO-RESOLUTION and Changes Allowed: COMMENTING, ETC.
What would really be great is if there was a script that I could access as a Windows Explorer extension that would allow me to add/remove passwors to one or more selected files. It would even be better if, after enabling password security, I could some identify the security status of a file by it's icon or some other visual manner that didn't effect the name of the file.
I hope I have narrated my situation clearly enough. I look forward to comments or suggestions.

Not possible with Adobe software - Acrobat's context menu in Windows Explorer is not something you can customize or extend, nor can Acrobat or Adobe Reader change the system icon for a file based on the internal structure of the document.

Define a path to save my converted pdf word document

I would like to be able to define a specific place to save the pdf document I have converted from Word. The script I'm writing should normally able me to send to my customer a personalised mail with an attach pdf document. The mail and the pdf are personalised for each customer. I have put the script I wrote below. I will be really greatfull if you could help me ! Also if you see some improovement I can add to this script do not hesitate

You can convert PDF to Word using either the ExportPDF online service, or Acrobat. I checked your account, and it doesn't look like you've purchased an ExportPDF subscription. If you want to give Acrobat a try, you're welcome to download a 30-day trial from the link I reference above. In Acrobat, you choose File > Save as Other > Microsoft Word > Word Document.
