Convert smartforms to pdf and sending it as email

hi,
i am converting smart form into PDF and sending it as an attachment with the e-mail. the e-mail is getting delivered but i am unable to open the PDF. it shows error saying "unable to open as it is not a supported file type or  it has been damaged".
can any one please help me.

    I need to convert a smartform into PDF format and to send as attachement for SAP workplace
    of the user.
    I developed the next code.
    IT is to function and to send the mail for SAP workplace, but it happens that smartform
    contains images (logos) and tables, when the user tries to open the file pdf in inbox gives

  • Converting Smartform to PDF and send as email attachment

    I want to send the Smartform to mail as PDF attachment.
    I found the program in code gallery., it name was 'ZTEST_NREDDY_PDF_MAIL' .
    I used this program and it send the Smartform to mail as PDF attachment but when open the pdf file it gave me error.
    error : 'An unrecognized token Qq was found'.
    Please help me out.

    I created a Smartform. In that i used 'SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME'.
    It is working fine.
    I converted it into PDF format by using this function module 'CONVERT_OTF'.
    it is also converted fine.
    Now i want send that PDF Document to my gmail ID.
    How i will use ''SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1'' Function module i did not understand.
    So, The Problem is how i use this 'SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1' function module and how i know it is reached to my gmail id. How to check that one in the Sent mails.
    In SAP how to check the Sent Box.  Is it possible or not. If possible plz tell me with screen shorts.

    I need to design a pdf file with smartforms and want to send it after that by email. I have made a function, that is using so_object_send to send html emails. Can I also use that one to send emails with attachment?
    When I´m writing a report, that is calling the function of my smartform, how can I "print" this smartform as a pdf then? And where is the file stored, that I can send it by mail afterwards?

  • Convert spool to PDF and send as email attachment

    When i try to convert SAP spool to PDF and send it as email attachment,  size of PDF document becomes large as compared to size of the PDF cocument i download using the same spool.
    I am using following FMs.
    CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF to convert spool to PDF
    and
    SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 to send email with attchment.
    some times size of attchment exceeds 2MB and email results in error in SAP connect (SOST).
    Any idea on how to compress the PDF attchment??

  • Convert SMARTFORM report to PDF and send as an email attachment

    I am using the CONVERT_OTF function module to convert a SMARTFORM report in the "spool" to a PDF file. When I use the DOWNLOAD function module, the resulting file can be opened in acrobat.
    I would like to email the report in PDF format as an attachment. I am using the function module SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 to create an attachment however the attached file is not being created correctly and When try to open, it gives 'File is damaged and could not be repaired' error message. I believe that somehow I am not using the SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 function module correctly.
    Please help me to correct this

    We have a function module for converting spool data to pdf and send it through mail ie FM CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF,

  • CONVERTING SMARTFORM INTO PDF AND PRINTING DIRECTLY

    Hai guys,
       I got a problem.
    First the Smartform I created doesnt show all TABLE LINES(the rows coloumns)...
    so I have converted the SMART FORM to ADOBE FORM PROGRAMITICALY ...
    now in order to PRINT ..
    one has to first SAVE the FORM(adobe form) onto desktop(or whereever) and give it to PRINT...
    unfortunately my CLIENT doeasnt like the EXTRA STEP..
    so i best i can SAVE the file to a hardcoded location and
    OPEN it ..
    But then CAN I
    a)PRINT DIRECTLY without SAVING??
    b)ISSUE PRINT PROGRAMITICALY
    c)I learnt that a SMARTFORM can be GENERATED INTO PDF only at RUNNTIME(from SMARTFORMS>UTILITIES etc)..i briefly tried that..can I use that to GET THE PDF to PRINT when one gives PRINT from SPOOL REQUEST(sp01)

  • Convert spool to pdf and send in email sometimes attachment duplicated.

    Hi all, I have a process that creates a spool, converts it to a pdf and then attaches it to an email. My problem is that sometimes, the same attachment is duplicated.
    The process seems to work fine in debug mode (the attachment changes for each loop) but when I run it in the background, every few emails, it will duplicate an attachment.
    I have noticed that the size of the pdf seems to change properly but that the content of the pdf does not match.  So, it is like it gets the correct size of the pdf but not the body.
    This is code that a consultant wrote and I am pretty new to abap/sap. I have changed some of the code because it was trying to handle an endless loop (I figured it should not have to handle (be in) an endless loop). I changed that code and it is working but this previous issue still exists. Thanks for your help.

    Thank you for your response, this has allowed me to identify the problem. It is when I create the spool by using the code below. If I add a wait after this, the program works successfully. Is there another way to write the data to create a spool within my initial program rather than doing the submit? Could it be that it is putting data in memory?
