Convert SnapMirror XDP to DP

Hello Community. I want to convert a XDP extended data protection relationship into DP, because I will shorten the update frequency and XDP doe not finish within timeframe. Waht I tried was:1. Snapmirror break2. Snapmirror delete3. snapmirror create with type DP and DPdefault4. Snapmirror resync --> But at step four I got "Error: command failed: No common Snapshot copy found between..." When I looked into the volume I could found lot of snapshots that were available on both volumes. Is it possible?Why I can't resync? greetings Frank

Convention from XDP to DP is not supported.
Each volume seems to have common snapshot, but it is just common for SnapVault. Not common for DP as data have transferred in file basis and block image do both side is completely different. DP tracks and updates data in block basis, so XDP snapshots does not work for resyncing.

Is it possible to access interactive PDF through windows logon( windows may have multiple user accounts). On one particular account , if the user enter login credentials--(if valid)--then he should access the paricular pdf( fill & submit vice versa.).

Problem in converting an xdp file to xsd

Hi,
I designed one form and i saved that form as both xdp and pdf.I also created an xfaform variable in the workbench to hold that form.But in the variable dialogue box,in the schema settings ,the form schema is not displaying as no schema is available.But am unable to create an schema or an xsd file for the same form which i have designed..Can anyone suggest one solution for how to covert an xdp or pdf file to xsd file....I am unable to procedd my process due to this issue.....

Summary:
An employee fills up (online or offline whichever is suitable for him/her) and sends an Expense Reimbursement Form to his/her Head of Department (HOD) for approval. Employee can also use Adobe Livecycle Workspace to fill up the said form. HOD has rights to approve or reject the said form. In case of rejection, employee will be notified through email. If HOD approves the form, it then redirects to Accounts Department for reimbursement. After the operations of Accounts Department like valuation of expense etc., the form then redirects to Administration Department for further processing like cheque no. entry etc. Finally, employee will be notified through email to collect his/her cheque from concerned department.

How convert date/time from xml in xdp(Designer)?

Hi, i want to convert date/time format from xml in Designer, date/time value in xml is NOT in common format YYYY-MM-DD (if is in a common format i can do this with pattern)
I have a "DateTime" Field in Xdp can get from Xml date and time:
In XML <DateTime>DD-MM-YYYY</DateTime> i want to convert in XDP in DateTime Field in "DD-April-YYYY"

You can do this way..
Bind the date field to your XML tag.
Set the display pattern for the date field.
In the initialize event of the date field place the following code.
Set JavaScript as language.

Convert PDF to XDP

Can anyone tell me the best possible way to convert PDF files to XDP? I have 500 PDF forms that needs to be converted to XDP. Not sure if this really works out well but would like to give it a try otherwise we need to re-design the forms from scratch.
I am aware that there is a PDFUtility that I can use but does that requrie any specific module to be bought?

If your PDF documents are "XFA-based forms", you can convert them into XDP files using "PDF Utility" service.
Otherwise, you have no other choice other than creating new templates from scratch.

Xhow XDP file in AIR application

Does anyone knows how to load an XDP file in a HTML component
in an AIR application? Loading PDF files is no problem.
The XDP comes from a JAVA webserver. So, another possibility
would be to convert the XDP to PDF on the server, before sending it
to the AIR application. Does anyone knows if this is possible?

Rendering XDP as HTML field Patterns num{(zzzzzzzzzzz9.99)}

Hi, I am rendering a XDP document as XHTML with renderHTMLForm 'transformTo' => 'XHTML' . The field Type="Numeric Field" and the patterns num{(zzzzzzzzzzz9.99)}. These settings works fine on a PDF but it does not work when render as HTML. The PDF version prevents the users from inputing numbers only. The XDP version rendered as HTML form is allowing the users to input anything on the field.
Any idea will be helpful on how to prevent this?

The renderHTMLForm service returned a HTML object, that we can open in a browser, the new HTML render service available in ES4 in the Process Management (System) application takes taskContext object that has FormURL as input and returns a url string like this lc/content/xfaforms/profile/default.html?contentRoot=.....&template=......
now my question is in my case,
We have several fragments built on a common Schema and based on user selection the fragments are stitched using assembler services and a resultant XDP is produced on the fly (but not stored anywhere in the CRX), now that the Resultant XDP is to be rendered as HTML, how is it possible to use the Livecycle Forms service to produce the HTML,
we know that Livecycle Forms uses cq 5 profiles to render a XDP that is available in the repository with the following URL,
http://localhost:port/lc/content/xfaforms/profiles/default.html?contentRoot=repository///p ath_of_the_xdp&template=templateName.xdp&dataRef=http://xmlPaTH
Now that the XDP produced earlier in the use case on the fly is not stored anywhere and does not have a contentRoot parameter, how is it possible to convert the XDP to HTML 5 with the Livecycle Forms module.

Conversion of IFD to XDP Format

I have got a IFD file which I want to convert into XDP format.I know there is a utility called ConverIFD.exe provided in Adobe Livecycle Designer.But its not working, it is prompting with an error that Adobe Output Designer need to be installed.Is there any other way to convert the IFD to XDP format.
Any one who can help me in this. Thanks

You must have Adobe Output Designer installed (5.5 version at a minimum). The ConvertIFD.exe actually uses the Adobe Output Designer program to do the conversion.
You should also be aware that there is a known issue with older versions of Adobe LiveCycle Designer when you have Output Designer 5.6 installed. You will need to install Output Designer 5.5 if you are using a version of LC Designer that predates LiveCycle Output ES (i.e. 8.1.x).

XDP to html

Is there a way to convert a XDP file to a html. This dynamic form was created in Livecycle 8.2 saved as a XDP

How to populate Adobe LiveCycle Designer generated PDF Forms with data from Database in Windows app

I have a PDF template designed in Adobe LiveCycle Designer. This template has form fields which needs to be filled with data programmatically. I am using windows application in C#.Net 2005 in which I want to retrieve data from database and merge this data into PDF form in respective fields.
How this can be achieved?
I searched a lot & I found that we can process the XDP file generated from PDF to acheive this. I created the XDP file out of the PDF template created in designer. But I don't know how to merge data from database into that XDP file in respective fields and again convert this XDP file back to PDF programmatically. Can anybody help me ? This is urgent.

Can I write XML PDF without Adobe LiveCycle ?

My firm have product to create blank /form/, which we save into our XML format. We want to "save as" forms into XML PDF format.
But only use XML not PDF into XDP format.

Is there other resources and samples?

I'm not sure that I understand your question. Are you asking whether Adobe Reader can open an XDP file and display it as a PDF even if there's no PDF packet in it? The short answer is no. You can convert an XDP to a PDF using Adobe LiveCycle Designer. If you want to convert to PDF at run time you need a server product - Adobe LiveCycle Forms.

Flowable Tables in LiveCycle Designer as Dynamic PDFs

Hi just wondering if in a table under Row 1 I can add an additional field and it will still be flowable (see attached)
If there are multiple items that need to be added I want the user to be able to add additional notes that is also expandable but I want it to remain as a list format like the attached - is this possible?

DocOrigin will not replace LC Forms but can be a nice addition for generation of the output for print, email or web.
Here is a sample of the output The table has a detail line item followed by 1 to X descriptive comments. Another nice feature is the ability to alter the background color of every other line item, this is done by checking a box. Support for Widows and Orphans is also supported across pages and pagination is automatic. You can also include images in the detail line, however we had to keep the image small in this case because we do not know in advance how may comments are going to be included with any given line item.

Dynamic Tables in LiveCycle

I have a form that I am creating that is using dynamic tables with an Add Row button as well as a Delete Row Button. The form looks normal when it is opened in LiveCycle Designer and Acrobat. The issue is when the form is saved using the Save As function. When the Save As function is used, the table adds a blank row. And every subsequent Save As adds another blank row. I am using the following JavaScript functions for my Add/Delete buttons. Thank you in advance for your help!

Adobe Interactive Forms & CRM2007

Hi guys,
we have to integrate CRM2007 and adobe interactive forms. Let's say when clicking a button in a CRM view it launch the adobe interactive form and then, if it gets changed, it should update some fields in CRM.
we have looked at some post but couldn't understand clearly. Can anyone help us with the steps requireds?
1) can we create our own WS that updates the fields when pressing a button from the form? If you can refer information would be great.
2) or should we create a form in Tx:sfp and then use FM to access this form inside the BSP to read the data and update the fields that were changed?

the scenario is the following.. we have a pdf document, that is saved in the local machine, if I open it, fill some fields, and then press submit button, a ws is called. This WS creates a BP in CRM with the correponding data inserted into the form. Inside the form there are some fields that gets populated with the response from CRM systems (WS).
We have to build the same funcionality, we have a WS working in CRM (we tested it with another tool and it's responing well), then create the adobe form with adobe livecycle designer and create the data connection with the WSDL of the WS. Then we use the function IFDEMO01_DRIVER01 to convert the .xdp files to .pdf, but when we executed the pdf file that the function creates it doesn't work. It attemps to connect but we never get the response.
Do you know if this steps are the corrects ones?
please, if you can send me the code for the scenario you describe (inbound mail), that would be a huge help.

Assembler Service : query

Hi,
I need to convert xdps into a single pdf. I have used Assembler service to convert the xdps to single xdp and then rendered the merged xdp into a pdf using renderPDFForm.
This two way process is time consuming and after observation I figured out that renderPDFForm is taking more time than stitching the xdps. I want to know which is the better and efficient approach:
Stitching many xdps (say 5 to 20) into one xdp and then rendering it into a PDF using renderPDFForm
Stitching xdps into a pdf in the Assembler Service itself.
Please let me know the pros and cons of the both the approaches.
