Convert SOAP XML message to invoke JMSTransportPortType method
I want to invoke a WS method in JMSTransportPortType. However, the request is a SOAP XML message. I wonder if there is a convenient way to convert a SOAP XML message to invoke JMSTransportPortType method.
Would really appreciate some help with this issue. Thanks!

Intercepting SOAP XML message in JAX-RPC Handler and calling a diff method
Is it possible to intercept the SOAP XML message in the JAX-RPC handler and avoid the serialization and deserialization (OR avoid XML data binding)
Here is a more detail question
My web service has two methods
1. One Method which accepts Java Object (this object is mapped with a Schema
Complex Type Element in my WSDL file)
2. Second method which accept simple String type.
I want my web service client to send java object (using the first method), so that the Input gets validate in the WSDL itself (before it hits the actual web service) but once the request gets validated i want to pass that converted SOAP XML String (on the Server side using JAX-RPC handler) to the Second method.The answer to this is that the WSDL had
elementFormDefault="qualified"
in the schema.
Changing to unqualified resulted in the desired output.
Note: The service was changed to handle both cases. -

Unable to Execute a Report to send PAN XML messages out of SNC
Hi All,
We are unable to Execute a Report /SCA/DM_TIMESERIES_OUT to send Product Activity Notifications in the form of XML messages out of SNC. We have manitained some Planned Reciepts data in SNC and would like to transfer it out to ECC.
Could anyone help in understanding if we have to maintain mandatory settings before executing this report.
Thanks & Regards,
SadiqHi Pravin,
As per the documentation(http://help.sap.com/saphelp_snc70/helpdata/EN/48/6bdb4767a431cbe10000000a42189d/frameset.htm), we have tried both the manual and automatic features to configure the output from SNC in the form of XML messages.
The manual method gave a message "Time series data for selection is empty" and the Automated method could trigger the XML messages on every incoming message from ECC but we are unable to see the Planned Receipts in that XML messages.
Was just wondering if we can see the Planned Receipt info by changing the settings of this report or by using any other simillar report as the PR info is very important for our development.
Thanks & Regards,
Sadiq -
Hi all, i already posted this in "performance" group also. I have 3
question.
1. What will be the stability or what will happen if thousands of Client
request hits the Soap-Servlet(that parses the client's soap xml message) at
one point of time in both RPC(Remote Procedure call) and Message-style
weblogic web-service structure? Is it going to create thousands of
Soap-servlets(One soap-servlet per call)? If one soap-servlet handles
everything, then what will be its scalability and performance?
2. How will be the response or what will be the response send back to the
client in Message-style webservices when the soap-servlet finds an error in
the XML message comming from a client? Because Message-style is one-way. If
we need response, then we have to create a seperate webservice call using
seperate client, soap-servlet, jms queue. So, how come the response client
waiting for the message get the response if any error happens on the
soap_servlet of the client request?
3. Should always the StatelessSessionBean be the entry point in RPC style?
Why not an entitybean directly? Why statelessSessionbean only?
4. Is there more details about this in the documentation other than this
"http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs61/index.html" site?
Thanks in Advance
ElangovanYes I think your app will perform better using remote objects, there's
a great app to test that named Census you can get it and do your own
tests or play with it on James Ward's blog.

We are developing a middle sized application using Flex and Axis
Webservices. On the client side we AS code generated using Flex
Builder 3.0 and the WSDL. On the server side we have Java code
generated with Axis 1.3 using the same WSDL. The problems occurs
when the server sends a 290Kb response to the Client. Flex spends 10
seconds (obtained from mx.rpc.* log facility) in deserialing this
SOAP message. My question is:

¿Could I improve the performance of the deserialization?

Due to the fact that this is an unaceptable delay and that we have a

How to create the alterable length XML message in WLI workflow?
When I do some development in WLI2.1 workflow, I meet a problem. I need a XML
message to invoke this workflow, and then tailor this XML message and create a
new XML message to send to a certain destination.
Now the question is: The XML message is alterable length, like following:
<ROOT>
<tag1>
<tag2>...</tag2>
<tag3>...</tag3>
</tag1>
<tag1>
<tag2>...</tag2>
<tag3>...</tag3>
</tag1>
<tag1>
<tag2>...</tag2>
<tag3>...</tag3>
</tag1>
</ROOT>
The number of <tag1> is alterable. But I don't know how to create the new XML
message, which also includes the same structure of input XML message, in workflow
"Post external XML Event" action?
I try to use XPath to get the value of each tag, but when I use the following
XPath expression:
XPath ("/ROOT/tag1/tag2/text()")
I can only get the reference of weblogic.apache.xpath.axes.LocPathIterator.
And I also don't know how to define the XML document structure to implement this
kind of alterable length XML message.
Your comments are highly appreciated!You will need to use substr to restrict the length of the strings returned by extract(). I assume that either the document in non schema based or the attributes referenced are not defined with maxLength restriction in the XML Schema

I'm new to consuming web services in JDeveloper. I'm using Oracle JDEV 10.1.3.3/OC4J. I'm using this version since it is compatible with Oracle EBS 12.1.3. My intent is to pull data from our third party recruitment app (Success Factors) and load that data into Oracle HRIS. I'm already doing this through a .NET application. I'm converting it to be a Java Concurrent Program in EBS. The code listed below is a stub call to verify I'm on the right track. I created a JDeveloper Web Services proxy project. I'm testing it locally on my windows desktop. When I'm able to consume the service successfully, then I'll think about moving it to the EBS server.
I'm getting the following error when I invoke the following service:
HTTP transport error: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Message send failed: String index out of range: -7
End point is: https://api4.successfactors.com/sfapi/v1/soap?wsdl
Any help/assistance would be much appreciated.

That might be because you are sending incorrect data and the other end fails to validate it.
You might be able to guess based on your C# code. But, since you are using soap one generic solution is available to you.
- Get an http proxy interceptor like wireshark.
- Run it while your C# app runs, collect the http requests from that.
- Run it while running your java code, collect the http requests from that.
Compare the two. -
Hi,

I have a WCF service I am trying to run on a new installation of 64-bit Windows Server 2008 IIS. Although it runs fine on Windows 2003 IIS, it is throwing the error in the thread title, which appears to be a server config issue, but I am not sure. Googling and searching the MSDN forums did not turn up a solution. I tried running WCF Logging, but that didn't help either.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this probelm?
Here is the error:

I have the same service hosted on my local machine and when I point to the local service I can execute the operation with no issues. The message encoding is Soap11. I tried changing to Soap12 but I get exact same error. Any ideas greatly appreciated.
I do have windows Activation Features installed and I am using .Net Framework 4.

Hi Experts,
I need a tool to convert XML message to EDI.Hi,
Conversion Agent
Purpose
SAP Conversion Agent by Informatica is a data conversion system that enables you to create interfaces between any data formats and XML-based systems. The Conversion Agent can convert unstructured, semi-structured, and structured formats to XML, and the other way around.
The Conversion Agent comprises the Conversion Agent Studio and the Conversion Agent Engine. In the Conversion Agent Studio you can develop and configure data conversions. The Conversion Agent Engine executes the data conversions.
Conversion Agent in Process Integration
figer here-
In Process Integration you call the Conversion Agent by using an adapter module. For this purpose, you must integrate this module in the module processor of your adapter. You can only use the Conversion Agent with the SAP adapters of the Adapter Engine.
The module in the sender adapter uses a data conversion statement to call the Conversion Agent Engine and it then receives the converted XML document. In a receiver adapter the source format is XML.
For current information and FAQs for the Conversion Agent, see SAP Note 894815.
Features
If you want to use data transformations in Process Integration, you must perform the following steps after you have installed the Conversion Agent:
For information about installing the Conversion Agent, see Deploying and Using Conversion Agent and Getting Started with Conversion Agent.
1. Define your data transformation in the Conversion Agent Studio.
For more information, please see: Getting Started with Conversion Agent.
2. Configure a communication channel within your integration scenario.
More information: Communication channel.
3. In the adapter configuration under Modules, integrate the adapter module CMTransformModule in the adapter type for your communication channel.
○ Under Parameter Name in the Module Configuration, enter the name TransformationName, and under Parameter Value, enter the name of the data transformation you defined.
○ The document to be converted must be in the main payload of the message.
○ If the document to be converted is in an attachment, you can use the PayloadSwapBean module to exchange the payloads.
○ The adapter module can be integrated in all adapters that can be enhanced with additional modules (for example, the SOAP adapter or mail adapter).
For more information about integrating the adapter module, see Deploying and Using Conversion Agent.
For more information about integrating modules in an adapter, see: Module Processor
For more information about enhancing the module processor, see Extending the Module Chain in the Module Processor.

Hi there,
Well, it is mysterious - not to say frightning !
When I first start my tomcat I get an Exception like:; Could not load com.sun.xml.messaging.saaj.soap.Envelope
The second time it runs well. No Exception about classloading. And the app is nice.
Hmm, why ? Cant find out.
I think that Exception has to have some relation to jars and where they are placed.
According to the JAXWS-page I placed:
jaxb-api.jar, jaxws-api.jar, jsr173_api.jar, saaj-api.jar
in my %JRE_HOME%\lib\endorsed\
so far so good !
The rest of the needed jars to run JAX-WS Webservices are in my WEB-INF/lib FOLDER
activation.jar and so on
Any Ideas ?
Here is the Exception I get when I invoke the Service

Anybody help, please !First, thanks for your reply jitu.
I dont get this exception anymore.
Well, your hint was quite right, so I think I may give you the duke stars.
I found out that putting the jars into the shared/lib dont work. Maybe it is because I am running 3 tomcat instances at the same time.
I put all the Jax-ws libs into the tomcat_home/common/lib directory.
And left the endorsed libs in the java endoresed directory.
putting the endorsed libs in the tomcat_home/common/lib/endorsed may also work.
regards and thanks,

Sending XML messages from server to client using POST method
Dear everyone,
I have a simple client server system - using Socket
class on the server side and URLConnection class on
the client side. The client sends requests to the
server in the form of an XML message using POST method.
The server processes the request and responds with
another XML message through the same connection.
That's the basic idea.
I have a few questions about headers and formats
especially with respect to POST.
1. In what format should the response messages from the
server be, for the client? Does the server need to
send the HTTP headers - for the POST type requests?
Is this correct?:
out.println("HTTP/1.1 200 My Server\r");
out.println("Content-type: text/xml\r");
out.println("Content-length: 1024\r");
out.println("\r");
out.println("My XML response goes here...");2. How do I read these headers and the actual message
in the client side? I figured my actual message was
immediately after the blank line. So I wrote
something like this:
String inMsg;
// loop until the blank line is through.
while (!"".equals(inMsg = reader.readLine()))
System.out.println(inMsg);
// get the actual message and process it.
inMsg = reader.readLine();
processMessage(inMsg);But the above did not work for me. Because I seem to
be receiving a blank line after each header! (I suppose
that was because of the "\r".) So what should I do?
3. What are the different headers I must pass from
server to the client to safeguard against every
possible problem?
4. What are the different exceptions I must be prepared
for this situation? How could I cope with them? For
example, time outs, IOExceptions, etc.
Thanks a lot! I appreciate all your help!
Georgehello,
1) if you want to develop a distributed application with XML messages, you can look in SOAP.
it's a solution to communicate objects distributed java (or COM or other) and it constructs XML flux to communicate between them.
2) if it can help you, I have developed a chat in TCP/IP and, to my mind, when you send datas it's only text, so the format isn't important, the important is your traitement behind.
examples :
a client method to send a message to the server :
public void send(String message)
fluxOut.println(message);
fluxOut.flush();
whith
connexionCourante = new Socket(lAdresServeur, noPort);
fluxOut= new PrintWriter( new OutputStreamWriter(connexionCourante.getOutputStream()) );
a server method in a thread to receive and print the message :
while(true)
if (laThread == null)
break;
texte = fluxIn.readLine();
System.out.println(texte);
that's all ! :)
If you want to use it for your XML communication, it could be a good idea to use a special message, for example "@end", to finish the server
ex :
while(true)
if (laThread == null)
break;
texte = fluxIn.readLine();
// to stop
if (texte.equals("@end"))
{break;}
processMessage(texte );
hope it will help you
David
