CONVERT TO PDF IN IE9 MOODY- GOOGLE CHROME? OR DOWNGRADE FROM IE9?

Since a few months IE 9 was working fine with Convert to pdf (ACROBAT 10.1-Pro) but now its
been a little moody and not working fine- some fonts don’t show up and I have re-installed the adobe printer, deselected the fonts options in the printing preferences but still it does not work………….i have read that ie9 is not supported- still true???
I do recognize that chrome is more stable but cannot seem to get the same options on chrome like in ie 9 with all the pdf converter buttons on the top-is there a way to get the same buttons on chrome?
If no chrome and if ie 9 is not stable as yet then is there a way to downgrade to ie 8- how would one do that?
Not sure what to do but this converting tool from the browser itself is so easier and ie is my option-so please suggest what would be the path of least resistance?
THANKS A TON ADOBE IS AWESOME! – it works fine if I convert from within pdf but have copy and paste the web address each time as it does not show the current address in the drop down menu , its more clicks and then the web address in some sites for pages can be very confusing to select and add………so if the convert works that would be the best-Thanks!

Google Chrome is not supported by the Acrobat PDFMaker plugin and never has been. As is made perfectly clear on the compatibility chart, the only browsers we have PDFMaker plugin support for are Internet Explorer and Firefox.
With the Acrobat X 10.1.2 update last week, PDFMaker works perfectly in the 32-bit variants of IE9 and Firefox 9.

I can understand your concern, however can you please let me know that are you able to open both the PDF files ( the one you converted form excel to pdf & the other pdf that was mailed to you ) individually without using any password?
As it asks for the password, it means that the postal mailed PDF is password protected. You can ask for the password from the sender of the postal mail & then try to combine the files.

This will probably resolve your issue.

How was that PDF file created? Please see Will Adobe ExportPDF convert both text and form... | Adobe Community
It could be that the PDF file you're converting was created using a third-party application, and it doesn't contain all the information necessary to ensure a clean conversion. Have you had similar troubles converting other PDF files?

Google Chrome prevents screensaver from starting (minimized or maximized)

After running Chrome successfully on my Mac Mini for a while, I recently noticed that after upgrading to the latest version (6.0.472.59) my screen saver will no longer kick in if Chrome is running. I have tried running several screen savers to see if the behavior would stop and it doesn't. As long as Chrome is up and running (it doesn't matter if its minimized or not, if there is an open window or not) the screen saver will not kick in. Now, for the sake of testing, everything is fine if Safari or Firefox are left open and running. HOWEVER, Opera also gets in the way of the screensaver kicking in, just like Chrome. Its annoying to have to shut down chrome if i want my computer to have screen saver capabilities and eventually sleep.
Software is up to date, permissions have been fixed and the PRAM has been zapped. I want to see if anyone has any ideas/takes on this before I re-apply the 10.6.4 combo update (http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1048). Any help is appreciated!

Google Chrome is third party software so perhaps you should query the developers about your issue. Try creating a new user account and see if it happens there. Your other option is to get rid of GC.

Why isn't flash player or PDF reader working on google chrome?

I have an iMac, and adobe add ons work just fine on firefox and safari, however, they don't work at all on chrome. When I pull up a website that has a PDF or requires flash, all I get is a black screen. I've tried reinstalling chrome and adobe with no results. any ideas?

Adobe Flash Player has to be downloaded, installed and allowed.
1. Install Adobe Flash Player.
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
    Follow the prompts.   Quit Safari.
    Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
2. Allow Plug-ins
    Safari > Preferences > Security
    Internet Plug-ins > "Allow plug-ins"
    Enable it.

Using Google Chrome - is there a way to convert multiple messages/folders into a pdf?

We are transitioning from Lotus Notes to Google Chrome. In Lotus, we had the option to select muliple messages or mulitple folders and convert them into PDFs. In Chrome, I only see the ability to convert a single message at a time through the "print" function. Is there another way? Thanks!

ich kann auf einer Website ein pdf. Formular mit Google Chrome nicht öffnen. Die Einstellungen unter chrome://plugins habe ich vorgenommen, jedoch bleibt das Browserfenster schwarz (nach dem Öffnen des Formulars).

Ich arbeite unter Windows 8.
Das Komische daran ist, dass ich den Link öffne, Bildschirm bleibt schwarz - pdf öffnet sich also nicht sofort. Dann switche ich kurz um auf den Desktop z.B. und anschließend wieder auf das sich bis dahin nicht geöffnete pdf. Und aufeinmal liegt das pdf in voller Form da... ich kann es nun ausfüllen und versenden. Warum jedoch klappt das nicht sofort beim ersten Öffnen?

I cannot get into my emails via firefox as onlt the first page will load. I can get in on google chrome. I have wirked through the troubleshooting sheets.

My emails are on Talktalk.net. I have used Firefox for several years with no trouble but at the end of 2013 only the first page would load from firefox. I contacted talktalk and they got me to reset firefox which worked for a short time. When i contacted them a second time they said the fault was on the browser. Based on comments on M support i updated from version 22 to 26 but with no change. I have today worked through the troubleshooting sheets as far as i am able with no success. I can get at the emails from my phone and via google chrome but not from firefox

I recently installed Java 6 update 33, and adobe flash player 11 plugin, and now can't play any videos from any website in Mozilla, but Google Chrome works.

Cannot play any video from any website in Mozilla after installing Java 6 update 33, and adobe flash player 11 plugin. However, I can play videos from Google Chrome and also from Internet Explorer. For example, when I'm trying to play a you tube video in Mozilla, a black screen comes up with following error message: "An error has occurred. Please try again later."
(This is like the Wizard of Oz -- when the man comes to the little window in the door and says to Dorothy, "Come back tomorrow." )

This may be caused by a recent Flash 11.3 update.

I have the same problem for a couple of months, and I had to use a plug-in in Firefox to print a web page. I really need the web page address in the footer for reference purposes which Chrome print (Ctrl+P) does not produce.
The error message is: A supported version of Acrobat could not be found. Please install or update Acrobat to 11.0.9 or higher."
After updating to Acrobat 11.0.10 and repairing the installation the problem did not go away.
Deleting and re-installing the extension did not help either.

Why can Google Chrome browser display PDF that Reader cannot?

I have a large PDF of a 2300-person family tree (400 pages if printed) that I am trying to share with family. The PDF is produced by MacFamilyTree on Mac OS X 10.8.4 It has the ability to simply "Save" the Graph as a PDF and I can also ask it to "Print" and inside the "Print Dialog" I can ask it to "Save as PDF". I have created the PDF both ways, and have the same problems with both.
Using Mac OS X 10.8 and Apple's Preview program, I can view the PDF and search inside the PDF just fine. If only all my relatives were on Macs my problems would be solved. But alas, they are predominantly on Windows (XP, Vista, 7, 8) with all the annoyances that are entailed in trying to help troubleshoot non-technical people who have no idea what software they have or have not installed or updated.
Using the Google Chrome browser on Windows 7 (64-bit) and on Mac OS X 10.8.4 I can view the PDF, but search fails. Being able to see the family tree will certainly be a bonus to family members, but the first thing they all want to do is "Find Myself" in the tree. So getting a solution that both displays and allows for search (like Preview does) is what I'm hoping for.
These other browers (Safari, IE, FireFox) all the latest and greatest, downloaded today with fresh installs, fail to display the PDF on both OSes (obivously, IE was only on Win7 - not 100% sure which version it was, probably 9).
Acrobat Reader, version 9.5, and the current latest version on both Win7 and Mac OS X fail to display the PDF at all.
If I reduce the scope of the family tree, down to say 300 people, then pretty much all of these programs are able to display it just fine. Search is still mostly broken, but display works. If I reduce it even futher to just a couple dozen people, then display and search works great everywhere.
The largest file itself is only a tad larger than 4MB.
The document is not very complex - just a bunch of lines connecting people to their spouses/children/parents and small boxes around each "person" with their name and a little bit of other text, like wedding/divorce and death information.
It's as if all the engineering teams (other than Chrome and Preview) decided to impose an artificial limit on the size of single PDF "page" and the family tree has simply gone past that limit.
Any suggestions? Any chance Reader can be tweaked to be at least as good as the Google Chrome browser or Apple's Preview programs?

I think you might be hitting a page size limit of 200 x 200 inches in Adobe software. Larger files typically appear blank.

PDF annotation with link, image doesn't show, only in print or Google Chrome, not Adobe Reader main

We are creating PDF files with annotations, we are using the O2 Solutions PDF Library for C#. We used to create PDFStampAnnotations, but now we want to make the images clickable, to navigate to the URL belonging to the image.
Therefore, we are now using PDFLinkAnnotations, with a PDFImageAppearance.
We set the flags of the annotation to Print.
However, the annotation won't show in the PDF in Adobe Reader. It does show in the Google Chrome inline PDF viewer.
It also shows in the print preview window in Adobe Reader.
But it does not show in the normal view in Adobe Reader. What we do see is, when hovering over the rectangle that should contain our image, our mouse cursor becomes a hand and a tooltip with the link is displayed. If we click, everything works as expected. But we don't see an image!
What can we do about this? This is really annoying, as I don't have a clue why it won't work. Actually, to me, this looks like a bug in Adobe Reader?

Indeed, I tried saving a PDF that had the "default appearance", it shows exactly the same. So it looks like it "can't" show the image.
However, of course, I do want the image to be shown. How can I achieve this? How can I tell Adobe Reader (and other PDF viewers) I really really realllyyyyy want to see that image there? I believe I'm not doing anything really exotic, right? There must have been tons of other people that wanted to do the same thing, I guess?
