    I am creating a PDF Form from a xsd scheme but when I have data that could require multiple entries the converted xml is a mess. I am curently trying to create a way to add fields for multiple children. I created an expanding table and the fields are automatically copied when I click on „+“ or are deleted when I click on „-“ . If I have multiple rows for children then the converted xml looks like this :
    The correct xml for multiple data entries should look like this (this is from a xml scheme not made in LiveCycle) :
    Even if I copy the fields without creating a table, the converted xml is still a mess just like on the first image. Is there a way to show the xml from the PDF from correctly.   • Need to have  'variable name' node in the converted XML data.

    i am converting the abap data to xml using cl_xml_document. in the converted xml data, i need to have one more node. in the below example, i want a node  <variable name="productionOrderDetails"> to come after the Data node.

    you can use class  IF_IXML_NODE, first you need to read (go thru ) XML then need to Insert a New Node.

  • Convert XML string into an abap format date and time

    Hi,
    Does anyone know of a method or a function module in ABAP which converts XML string into an abap format date and time.
    Here is a part of the xml that I want to convert.
    <ns2:EventDateTime>2009-07-02T10:13:45+10:00</ns2:EventDateTime>
    <ns2:EventMessageTransmissionDateTime>2009-07-02T10:13:45.987+10:00</ns2:EventMessageTransmissionDateTime>
    Currently EventDateTime and EventMessageTransmissionDateTime are type XSDDATETIME_Z and these are converted to proper dates and times. We will be changing these fields to a STRING instead of XSDDATETIME_Z. The reason for this is to make the field more versatile. The customer would be receiving dates with Zulu (2009-09-23T12:00:00Z), with offsets (2009-09-23T12:00:00+10:00/-10:00) and just local timestamp (2009-09-23T12:00:00). With this, we need to make the date fields as string
    to be able to accept the various date formats (esp. the local timestamp).
    I am looking for a standard function module or method that will convert the xml string to a proper date and time abap format.
    Would appreciate anyone's help!

  • Converting an XML file to a DAT pipe delimited file

    Hi 
    I'm trying to create an SSIS Package which converts an XML file into a dat file which is pipe delimited.
    I want the package to be generic so that once that minimal modification is needed when using for different files.
    I've so far had no luck with this and need some help/assistance.
    All help fully appreciated.

    The XML file can vary from fixed to variable.
    for Fixed, i've done the same thing as you've suggested and parametrized the flat file connection manager.
    For The XML source is there any way we can parametrize the location of the XML or XSD files?
    For Variable, unfortunately due to restrictions we can not create an intermediate table and then export.
    is there any other way?

    XSD path can be made dynamic as below

    For variable you can even add them to configurations and then pass them from a file using xml configuration option.

    Hi Johnney,
    It's actually not that difficult. For that little XML of yours, I would suggest a Simple Transformation, because it's ... simple. And fast.
    You should do some reading in the online documentation, and then it's trial-and-error. To accelerate your trialling, I've prepared a little example for you. Which you can use as follows.
    Call SE80, and go Workbench > Edit object... , and create a "Transformation" (you give it a suitable name, and click on the "Create" button; in the pop-up, you specify Transformation type = "Simple transformation").
    In the source code, you replace everything between "<tt:transform>" and "</tt:transform>" with the following bit of code:

    The variables starting with "l_" should be character fields of appropriate length, or character strings, while "lt_arguments" should be a standard table with a single field called "ARGUMENT" (otherwise you'd have to change the name in the transformation, in the line that says "<tt:value ref="$Arguments.ARGUMENT"/>").
    There's more pitfalls for you, like the encoding of the XML string, but you'll find examples of how to handle that if you look for class CL_ABAP_CONV_IN_CE, either here in the forum or in your system (or in the online help, of course).
    Oh, and you should definitely catch and handle CX_ST_ERROR - transformations dump easily if something is wrong with the data.

    Hi !!
    You can execute a Unix script running in the XI server from the File communication channel. Ie. if you want to do something which was not part of XI adapter configuation , then you can make use of external unix script and you can execute those from the XI.
    For this, write a unix script and place in the XI OS level provided that path is accessible from PI Channel.
    E.g
    So u can use this in either Sender Channel to modify the data before it reaches into the Integration Server or in Receiver channel it is generally used to transfer the files into different location via Secure FTP

  • Getting error while converting xml to xsd

    I am getting error"The table (citeinfo) cannot be the child table to itself in nested relations"
    at "http://www.flame-ware.com/products/xml-2-xsd/Default.aspx", while converting
    xml into xsd so i can register.
    Wherever citeinfo is there it is giving error.
    Please look at bold and suggest solution

  • Converting XML file to DTD or XSD file

    Hi everyone,
    We're currently doing an IDOC to File. The file should be in XML format. Right now, we have a sample XML file. We need to convert the file to DTD or XSD and then upload this in XI to be able to get it structure. We've tried different conversion tools to do this, however, the converted DTD/XSD file still has errors when we load it to XI. What we're thinking is to create a data type to achieve this. These are some of the fields in the file.

  • Generate XML - Special Character in data causing error

    Hello,
    I have a procedure written using DBMS_XMLGEN to create xml output. A problem that I am running into is some of my data has an eacute in it. How can I code the XML to account for this and any other weird characters that may exist?
    (ie - i need to be able to specify the encoding part of ?xml version=1.0 encoding=ISO-8859-1?)
    Here is an excerpt of what i have so far...the results are fine until I run to include the data with the eacute. Then nothing is generated at all. I tried .convert, but I don't know if that's what I need, or if I am calling it correctly.

    No. There are no XML components that will clean up malformed XML. Your options are to go to whoever sent you that document and tell them that their XML is malformed and that in future they should not do that, or to write your own component to clean up the malformed XML. Since that would involve more work than writing a full XML parser, I don't recommend the second option.

  • Convert  XML page into Internal Table

    Hi,
    I'm not sure if this post belongs here or not, but here goes.
    I have a requirement to read in data from a xml page and save the contents into a ABAP internal table.
    At the moment, I have extracted the contents of the XML page into a string using the IF_HTTP_CLIENT->RESPONSE->GET_CDATA method.
    Now I underatand that SAP has XSLT documents that can be used to transform XML documents into ABAP Data Structures.
    Can someone explain to me how this works? I have looked in SAP Help about the XSLT Editor, but it still looks like double dutch to me (no offence to the dutch people out there!).

    I have only tried it out with XML Spy, but anyway:
    there seems to be an error in your 2-1 XSl file in line 2:
    the correct stylesheet declaration is:
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
    You had an empty namespace and a wrong version attribute...

    I am using the following approach for converting XML string to DOM, but due to Special characters like "&", I am getting Exceptions:

    If the XML doesn't parse, then the XML must be invalid. Show a sample of such a special character in the XML data.
