Converted to PPT and my text disappeared!! HELP!
I created a presentation in Keynote '09 and exported it to PowerPoint. When I open the presentation in PowerPoint, my text is gone! Can anybody help me fix this problem?
I need to convert the file because I will be presenting on a PC with a projector attached, and I also have to send the presentation to other people to review (not needing to edit though) so it needs to be in PowerPoint.

On number 1, do you mean backup rather than sync?
I have had times where backup completed but did not backup some databases. Running backup again was the solution. If this is what is happening, reboot the BlackBerry and reboot the computer and try again. If backup actually fails to complete and throws an error, what is the error?

Might corrupted dock and desktop preferences ...
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.dock.plist
Click Go then move the com.apple.dock.plist file to the Trash.
Do the same for: ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist
Then restart your Mac.
As you have discovered, third party dock and desktop customization apps can often cause problems. -
Adobe Reader X text disappears
I have a user that will have open 3 or 4 PDF's in Adobe Reader X. When the user starts flipping between the PDF's. the screen starts to go dark and the text disappears on one or more document until it's closed out and reopened. The PDF's are about 300 pages each of text. I did all updates to windows and to adobe and it still happening. The computer is running Windows 7 32bit. It's a Dell 980 with 4GB of RAM. Any advice would help.

I Made a Photo Book in Lightroom 5.5 converted to jpg and tried to upload to Shutterfly. The only page that had text added in will not show up in the online Book!!! Help, Scott

There's pretty much no diagnosing those -- they are the equivalent of the random errors in Windows for which tracing the root cause is fruitless. Basically, these are the last out in the programming code -- some event occurred for which there is no handler in the code. The fix is a code update that handles the event...but, again, knowing what the event is is pretty much impossible. So, there are a few things to try:
Sometimes, the code simply becomes corrupt and needs to be refreshed -- just like a reboot:
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
If it won't boot up cleanly, then you may need to try Safe Mode:

The toughest possible cause is a badly behaving app. To find it, there are a couple of options. One is to see if you can read the log file:
Go to the home screen. Hold down the "alt" key and type 'lglg'. (You will not see anything while you type).This will bring up the log file. Scroll down (probably many pages) untill you see a line that says 'uncaught execption'. Click on this line. The name of the app will be in the info. Alternative methods for bringing up the logs are in this KB:

The other method is to remove apps one at a time, waiting a while in between (I usually recommend a week), until the problem ceases...thereby discovering the offending app. Still another method is to reload the BB OS cleanly, leaving some time between adding other apps onto the BB so as to be able to determine exactly which one is the cause.

I am converting a .docx file to a pdf and the text is coming out blurry
I am trying to convert a .docx file to a pdf and the text keeps coming out blurry. Some sentences seem to be bolded in the pdf as well. All the colored text seems like there's a shadow behind it and all the text in bold seems extra blurry. I am saving the file as a pdf. I tried to print the file as a pdf but it kept crashing. I have adobe acrobat pro and distiller, but I'm not savy about which program does what.

To create PDF's there are hundreds of different combinations that can be used, but only a few will give you a good 'print ready' file, which is what I think you may be after.
You may have font issues that are stopping the text looking sharp.
If you have Distiller, you can try to print as .ps (save as postscript), load distiller up and choose one of the high quality settings in the pop down menu.
If you are working on a Mac you can drag and drop the .ps file direcetly on the dock icon for distiller, or if you are running Windows you will need to navigate to the file via the menu bar (you will need to know where you have saved your .ps file).
There may be other issues with the original file format that is causing problems with your PDF creation.

You don't convert, you create - in PowerPoint, using whatever graphics you designed in Photoshop and PP's native text tools.

TextArea and TextInput on mobile device the text disappears and works fine on desktop
I'm developing a mobile app with a view that contains 1 Text Area, 1 Text Input and a group of 3 buttons. The app runs well in Desktop mode ( Run & Debug ), but when run in an android device ( Sony Tablet S) when the view is loaded, the text (text property set at design or runtime) "flashes" and disappear, if I change the device orientation of the tablet (phisically) the text draws correctly and don't disappear, even if you return to the original orientation. Also, if I pop-up a message (SkinnablePopUpContainer) in the same view, the text appears, and when I close the pop-up the text disappears again.
Is this an identified bug ? ... is there a workaround ? ... I tried to set visible property to false and true and sometimes it works and sometimes not at random.
Thank you for you help.UPDATE : if I set Focus=true the text appears. I think that the text should be there even if I don't set focus.

Disappearing and Reappearing text Indesign
Having problems with text disappearing and the reappearing. This is not a text over flow or a layer problem. It looks more the a preview/refresh bug.
If I move the text box slightly even nudge it, the text will reappear. It will happen will different text boxes on the page and has been happening continuously with
several of my documents. This is very annoying, can anyone help.
I am using Indesign 9.2 on Mac 10.9.1.
This problem is isolated to Indesign.

CThe first thing to try is to restore your InDesign preferences. Here's how:
Trash, Replace, Reset, or Restore the application Preferences
If you use the method to remove InDesign Defaults and InDesign Saved Data files in Mavericks (10.9), you need to make the [Home] > Library file visible. To do so, in the Finder, hold down the Option key, then select Go > Library. -
I just backed up my 3gs iphone using itunes. All my photos and contacts have disappeared from my phone. I am unable to locate them on my computer. HELP!!!
OK, I understand. Try this ... it's much safer. It will simply restore your backup, but not do anything to your iOS:
While your iPhone is plugged in to iTunes, right click on the iPhone icon on the left side of the iTunes display.
Choose "Restore from backup ..." from the pop-up menu that appears.
Again, what this will do is place that backup back on your iPhone without changing iOS. So you should be very confident in the backup contents before doing this. -
Attachments dont download from Gmail in Safari, They disappear,I even tried re-downloading Safari and that download disappeared, it is not in my downloads folder, I actually searched in finder for the file and it is nowhere on my computer. Please help!
Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!
