Converted video (with NVM) plays only 40 % in rpla...

After converting video (WMV -> mp4) with Nokia video manager, it plays only the first 40% of the video in reaplayer om my nokia E71. Audio continues , but video freezes . Have tried it with 2 videos with different length (1hr:08 and 38 minutes) both stopped at 40% of the video length. ffwd beyond 40% wont work and skips back to a couple of seconds before 40%. Both movies are > 90 Mb
Anyone else having this issue and know a solution ?

This happens a lot with PC Suite's video manager, the best choice is to convert them separately then transfer to the phone. I have been using WINAVI (http://www.winavi.com/) for a couple of years to convert various formats to 3GP and MP4 without any problems. It's not free, but my copy has more than paid for itself over the time I've had it...

Sync problem converting videos with SU

Hi there. I have owned my Creative Zen Vision:m 30gig player for about 2 weeks now. So far I have really come to love this device. I have learned how to put album art on all my favourite albums with ?Album Art Downloader? and I am using Media Monkey to manage and sync my mp3 files from my pc to my Vision:m. I have even loaded all my photos onto the player and bought the accessories pack so that I can hook it up to my television ? it works perfectly.
My last challenge (so far) was to figure out how to make this video thing work as I have about 00 videos which I have downloaded from Google video via a plugin for Mozilla Firefox called ?Video Downloader ?. The videos from Google video are encoded into something called a .flv file. I have done A LOT of reading here and other places on how to convert the various formats into formats the player can understand. Apparently the program ?Super? is THE thing for converting almost anything into well anything. I tried it and found out I could select ALL of my videos and select a common setting for them all to be encoded into. My first reaction?. sweeeeeet! The videos did not seem to have lost much quality and when I loaded them to the player, it would play them nicely? or so I thought.
It did however slowly but inevitably become clear to me that despite my most fierce attempts of denial? there was a sync problem with the audio. Not a huge annoyance but still an annoyance, something which I knew I couldn?t li've with. I therefore rushed to the program and tried to shuffle the settings a bit, changed the codecs changed the containers but nothing would work. The sound sync problem would still be there, lurking. The problem was also present when converting high quality xvid movies.
This is where my creativity and patience has come to an end. This is where I give up and crawl to you begging for help. I in order for you to help me, I will try to help YOU recreate my scenario.

Ok if you manage to download the clip from google video (easy) AND convert with Super into a format fitting for the Zen Vision:m without the sync problem? well my joy will break any ?happy-meter? out there
Ps. I did actually find a way to fix the sync problem, I checked the ?Directshow? for the ffmpeg but the picture was sort of lagging and looking REALLY ugly so that actually created a problem much worse than the previous one.

I am not sure I can help you but I do have one pice of information. The sync problems arise from converting to the wrong frame rate. If you can choose the frame rate for the videos you convert to then you can test different rates and find the right rate. Keep in mind that there is currently no way to determine the approiate frome rate without teting it.

Simply loop a video with a play/stop button in the middle?

Hello, I am new to flash but I have CS4, so I have all the tools.
I have a .mov file and I want to simply encode the video (i assume with flash media encoder) to be a flash file which loops continuiously with a Play/stop button. I'll then have this movie playing on my html page...
How would i best achieve this? I cannot figure it out using the encoder!

Easiest way is to import the mov directly into Flash, follow the importing prompt, embed inside of a movie clip to loop. add your buttons on top and code to stop(), and play().

Today version 3.6.4 downloaded and installed. Since thne I can not longer download videos with real Play.

Converted video with no audio

i used the convert video to ipod file function on itunes and it worked except there is no audio. any suggestions to why that is?

Converting Videos with Videora/PSP Video 9

I am using Videora/PSP Video 9 to convert videos. I have some shows on my laptop that are in 16x9 format. I converted the video and do not remember the setting I picked, but it "squished" the video. When I view the video on my ipod, it is "squished" instead of having hte black bars on top and bottom. It's really annoying. How should I set the settings to prevent this?

Set them to use 16:9 mode:
Open Videora. Click Setup and then the Profiles tab. Click New Profile, and type in a name for it. Say.. 16:9 Mode.
Then, apply the following settings:
Mode: H.264 > CBR
Resolution: 320x240
Bitrate: Either 768 kbps or 1500 kbps. (Higher rate = better quality and bigger file)
Framerate: Input
Passes: One
Keyframe Interval: 250
Aspect Ratio: 16:9
Audio Bitrate: 128kbps or 160kbps
Channels: Stereo
Sample Rate: Input
Now, click Save Profile. Next time you convert, use your custom profile to convert it in Widescreen format.

CNN video clip news play only sound but no video

I downloaded the latest windows player and also Quick time Flip for windows. None seems to work. Only the sound of the streaming video came through but no picture. What's wrong with my Safari? Anybody got some input what I did went wrong. Apple computer is not very good with playing most web movies.

I have a MacBook with Quick Time 7.1.1 and I'm having the same trouble with .avi files; the sound plays, but no video just white screen. Also, when I try to use QT a screen comes that says I need some QT components and directs me to the QT website. I have tried to download some of the components and still no luck.
Is there anyone having this same problem, and if so does anyone know how to fix it.

HandBrake Converted videos do not play

I cant get these videos to play on my Mac nor my PC. But they play just fine on my Zire 72. I am using the latest QT on both machines. Any tips?

AVI Video and MP3 audio.
AVI is a file container. It can contain a combination of hundreds or thousands of audio/video format/setting combinations. What specific settings were used in HandBrake. If you are using QT/iTunes to view on a Mac, then you need to find out which specific codecs were used and install the appropriate QT components. Some of these codecs have never been ported to the Mac. Others may only work in OS 9. Of those compatible with OS X, some are not in a universal binanry format. Since the files also do not play on a PC, I would normally begin to suspect your conversions setting are very non-standard or invalid.

Converted video for iphone plays no sound

When I use itunes on my PC to convert regular mpeg4 videos to play them on my iphone, the video plays, but there is no sound. Of course the manual lacks instructions for that, and just about anything else that doesn't have to do with how to buy more music from the apple store... Any ideas on why that is?

his is because the video you converted is muxed which means the audio and video are on the same track, quicktime or iTune can not deal with this kind of videos, you may try to use videora or streamclip to convert them again.

Source window video won't play, only audio - can someone help?

First time on this forum. Using Pr CS4. After capturing DV clip and opening in the source window - if I click on the play button in the source window the video makes a movement like it is going to play but then freezes. The audio from the clip still plays. I can scrub the clip in the souce window just fine. Could it be that I don't have some of the playback settings selected correctly. I should note that I have already put the clip on the timeline.

Quarter rez is like built-in proxy editing, and works well here. Just follow the workflow guide for the latest version of the RED plug-in.
The new workflow guide says this:
Please note that the presets have been updated. For the new fractional resolution feature to be enabled, you must be using a preset from this release. Pre-existing timelines will need to be copy/pasted into a newly created sequence for the new decode options to become available.
Does that apply to you?
The latest version of the plug-in also has a "new" Source Settings dialog. Format/resolution are now done on-the-fly from the Program Monitor display settings. I include that info only on the off chance that you haven't noticed it yet.

We recorded a 1 minute video using Cyberlink Youcam (the one on the 8.1 apps page, as opposed to the one with shortcut on the main desktop page - Youcam5.) We can see te screenshot of the video, and hear the audio for entire duration of recording, but the video screen is only green. Help please!

I understand that when you tried to playback your recording from YouCam 5, you can hear the audio, but the screen remains green.
Have you done all your Windows updates?
Is you Direct X, Adobe flash player and or Direcrt X up to date?

Converting Video with multiple subtitle channels

Hi,
I am needing to convert one of our video files. It is currently in an mkv format.
It is easy enough for us to do (as we often have to convert files to various formats), except this one has a subtitle track attached that we wish to export with it so that the final video file has the video along with the subtitle track all in one image.
When others have tried to help, the track will be exported without the subtitle track.

At first, make sure what format you need to convert to. And then use MKV Converter Mac program to convert your MKV files, such as Pavtube MKV Converter for Mac.

How can I convert video with srt subtitles?

If I have an avi plus an .srt subtitles file, how can I convert this to play on the iPad?
If, on my iMac, I use Quicktime, I can save the avi as .mov with hard subs. But when I convert this .mov to mp4, the subtitles disappear.

Why go to all the trouble of converting? Why not just download an app that can play .avi files with subtitle support?
