Converting a pdf to jpg

I scanned some pictures and for some reason they loaded as
pdf instead of jpg. Is there any way to convert the file to jpg format
? Does anyone know why the pictures would scan as pdf rather than jpg or bitmap?

Hello there,
I'm sorry you're having trouble. If you find that images are scanning as one format rather than another (preferred) format, you may want to use the software that came with your scanner to determine the format to which scanned images will be saved; that's something you should be able to control. Unfortunately, I can't offer much more assistance than that; if you need to convert the existing PDF files to JPEG files, you'll have to use software like Adobe Acrobat. Here is a link to the product page:

I hope this helps!
Best,
Rebecca

  • Converting a pdf to jpg or png

    Hi all
I need to convert pdf file page into an image of either jpg or png format.
Thought pdf-tools.com is offering some java API to do that (which i have tried with trial version, working fine).
is there any free API either from ADOBE itself or some other open source projects?
please do let let me know
    Take care

    Hi,
I've already used iText to produce nice PDF's via a WEb Application using Java Servlets.
You can import images (jpg, png) into the Pdf you are creating.
But I'm doubt that you can convert the PDF files created to image files ?
I would be interested about the functions to use within iText in order to achieve that.
    Thanks
    Philippe

  • Convert a PDF to JPG?

Is it possible to convert a PDF document that a user uploaded
to JPG format on the server using ColdFusion 8? If not, is there a
    product that can do so?

I second -==cfSearching==-. May I share my first experience
with the thumbnail functionality in cfpdf.
I copied the following code from the Adobe CF 8 documentation
and applied it to a 158 page document, db4o.pdf. Coldfusion duly
created the directory and 158 Jpegs (one per page) in 50 seconds.
    It was pleasing.

  • How do i convert pdf to jpg in automator?

How do I convert a pdf to jpg in Automator?

Automator has a "Render PDF Pages to Images" action.
There's a wizard that pops up when you run Automator asking you to choose a template. The second template is "Application":
Applications are self-running workflows. Any files or folders dropped onto an Application will be used as input to the workflow.
    So:
    Open Automator
    Choose "Application"
Drag the "Render PDF Pages to Images" action onto the workflow
This action produces random filenames, so follow it with "Rename Finder Items" (choose "Make sequential" from the dropdown list
Then add a "Move Finder Items" to have the output files moved to the Desktop
    Save your new application somewhere
    Drag files onto it

  • My .jpg's have ALL suddenly been converted to .pdf's and I am unable to open them

Using Windows 8.1, when I went to view some jpg's earlier today, I found they now show as "Adobe Acrobat Documents." When I try to open one, I get the error message that they are jpg's and Adobe is unable to open a jpg.???

And it was easy -- once I went to "Properties" in Windows Explorer. That was the tough part -- finding where to make the change.
    Thank you for your help.

Open it in Preview, Duplicate and Save as JPEG.  It's advisable to add the extension ".jpeg" to the filename when you save.

  • Converting PDF to JPG using Acrobat XI Standard

I know I can convert a PDF into a JPG using Acrobat Pro but I'm wondering if I can do the same using Acrobat XI Standard.  The only thing I've read online is that Standard can convert PDFs into Excel, Word or Power Point docs.

Yes, you can do this with Acrobat XI Standard. The only export feature that is not available in Std. is the ability to convert to PowerPoint.

  • How to batch convert pdf to jpgs, crop to trim and save?

I'm trying to figure out how to take a couple of hundred PDFs, Crop them to trim, then convert them all to JPGs using any of the adobe programs.
In bridge I was able to Batch convert all the PDFs to JPGs but it wouldn't crop them to the trim also...
I thought I could use the Photoshop Image Processor to batch action crop and save them again but I always get one of two errors... "There were no source files that could be opened by Photoshop." or "Please Specify a destination folder."
I don't know why this is coming up since I have it selecting the folders with the JPGs that I converted in Bridge and saving to another folder..
Does anyone know if I can do all of this at once? Or how I can somehow get this to work so that II don't have to open, crop and save for each individual file?

Corel's WP has not / does not use anything of Adobe's to create PDFs.
With Acrobat installed you can "file - print" WP files to the Adobe PDF virtual printer that is installed with Acrobat.
Perhaps an OS based "batch" printer job would be possible. Something for you to look into.
As well, if you have WP installed there may be something WP can do.
To learn of such you'd want to visit Corel's WP customer support.
    Be well...

  • Right Click jpg from Windows Explorer Convert to pdf page size issue

I'm running Acrobat 8 Standard and trying to figure out what controls the page size when you right click and select convert to pdf on a jpg file.  I've got several jpg files of all shapes and sizes and no matter what I try the pdf is always Letter Landscape.  If I use File - Create PDF - From File within Acrobat then the pdf retains the size of the original jpg and that is what I want the right click to do.

I wanted to add a little more detail.  Using the right click convert to pdf on any jpg results in a pdf that is landscape letter.  If the jpg is smaller than the page it is scaled up but if it bigger then it gets cropped.  I can open the same files from inside Acrobat and they convert without a problem.  Any thoughts on what controls the conversion process whenever using the right click feature on a jpg file?
