Converting a pdf to ppt

How can I convert a pdf file containing 2 slides per page to a powerpoint presentation with each slide on a single page? I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro XI. ( Selecting Save As ppt from file menu is not doing the job. )

You can't. 'Handouts' from PowerPoint with more than one slide per page cannot be dissected back into slides.

I'm wanting to convert a .pdf to a .ppt. In the file under tools it says I can do that but when I press convert it takes me to Adobe and there is no option to do so. I have an active subscription.

You will need PDF Pack to convert to Powerpoint; see https://new.acrobat.com/en_us/products/pdf-pack/benefits.html

Hey guys........ anyone knows how to convert Pdf to powerpoint files convert........... i would like to buy any genuine converter for pdf to ppt.
    thanks

I think you can try *pdf to ppt converter*
you can convert PDF to PowerPoint through using it. It preserves the original text content, images, layouts and hyperlinks after conversion. And you can edit the content in PowerPoint after conversion.
Just give that a try and hope it helps:)

Can I convert PDF to PPT using adobe acrobat x standard? If so, how?

    Hi meganl52100253,
With Acrobat X, you can save to Word and Excel format by choosing File > Save As. But saving to PowerPoint wasn't introduced until Acrobat XI.
You're welcome to try Acrobat if you'd like. You can download a free 30-day trial from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.

  • Can I convert a PDF to a PPT?

    Hi -
I need to justify the purchase of Acrobat 8 Professional (or whatever that latest version is) and I want to know if it possesses a certain capability.
I was recently asked to "convert" a PDF that was made from a PowerPoint back into a PPT. I poked around Acrobat 6 Pro (Mac) and the closest I came was to Save As a Word doc. It was messy but might do the job with a lot of extra work. If I could just save the PDF back into a PPT - that would be golden! And justify the purchase of a new toy...er...software tool.
BTW - if this is a feature on the Win version and not the Mac version - I'll be annoyed but that will still be good news.
    Thanks.
    Josh

Thanks to all for the feedback -
Keeping the original seems to be against the customer's "religion" and so he looks to us for "salvation".
Editing the PPT page is the reason for the effort so just plunking the old page as an image into PPT won't suffice.
When I convert to Word I get the background image but the jpeg quality is too low to use.
Maybe it'll be a feature next version.
We'll figure something out in the meantime.
    Thanks for your input.

    Hi,
To export your PDF files to PPTX files:
    Using Web UI:
Log into https://exportpdf.acrobat.com/signin.html with your Adobe ID and password
    Select “Export from PDF”
Click “Select Files” button then choose your PDF file
Select the format from the list below (PPTX)
Check ON “Recognized text in” if your PDF file is scanned images to recognize the image to text
    Click “Export” button
Click “Download” button in the progress bar after completion of exporting to download the file to your computer.
Note:The exported PPT files are stored at https://files.acrobat.com.  You will see the file in file list and clicking "FILES" at top of the screen will redirect you to https://files.acrobat.com site .

  • How do I export from PDF to PPT so that shapes created in Illustrator are editable

How do I export from PDF to PPT so that shapes created in Illustrator are editable, not just text on top of them? I used the Acrobat XL Pro technique described here (http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/pdf-to-powerpoint-pptx-converter.html), to export a graphic I had created in Illustrator and saved as an Adobe PDF file, but shapes are not editable and are fuzzy too. Is there a way to export a complete Illustrator graphic to PowerPoint?

Thanks Bill. Of course I realize I can insert an Illustrator drawing into a PPT without making it a PDF first. What I’m trying to do is insert a drawing from Illustrator that is still editable in PPT (a client request). Using the Acrobat XL Pro capability shown in this video <http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/pdf-to-powerpoint-pptx-converter.html> , only the text is editable in PPT, not shapes created in Illustrator.

  • Acrobat XI Pro crashes Office 2007 Powerpoint when converting to pdf

I have a Dell laptop with Windows 7 x64 and Office 2007.  I also have Acrobat XI Pro.  When I convert a .ppt powerpoint file to .pdf, powerpoint stops working.
When I click Convert to pdf, Acrobat prepares the slides and then begins publishing and about 1/4 of the way through I get a message that powerpoint has stopped working.
I have run the Office Diagnostics and it found nothing.
I have reinstalled Acrobat and it didn't help
Is there a compatibility issue?  Would an older version of Acrobat Pro work such as Acrobat 9 or 10?
Is there an Acrobat Preference that I could change that would solve the problem?
    Thanks
    Tracy

Thank you, it actually turned out to be the specific document, other
    powerpoints converted without error.
Thanks, and Have a Great Day,

  • How do I convert a pdf form into an app?

I am NOT a programmer but it seems to me that it shouldn't be that difficult to convert a pdf form into an app? There must be some kind of tool within adobe that I can use to do so? I am a member of Creative cloud.
    Jamie

    Hi Jamie1moon,
You are trying to convert the form into which format?
Adobe Acrobat can be used to convert a pdf into formats such as .doc,.docx,.ppt,.xls,.jpeg etc. but it will remove the existing formats and validations if any applied on the form fields.
    Please check: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/pdf-to-word-doc-converter.html

  • My goal: "convert into pdf" -- the file is instantly saved with the same name as pdf. feasible?

    Good evening dear experts,
i use Adobe Acrobat 9 pro extend to convert word, ppt, jepgs etc. into pdfs.
    No if i
    1) convert a ppt into a pdf: it asks --> "save as" --> converts --> opens the file
    2) convert a jpeg into a pdf: it instantly --> opens the file as pdf --> i need to save it manual under "save as"
In both cases i want to
my goal: "convert into pdf" --> the file is instantly saved with the same name as pdf
WITHOUT asking me "save as" + "opening of the file".
Is the possible, and if yes, HOW ?
A fast answer is very very much appreciated, for i have to convert hundreds of files tonight in order to get it into 1 pdf
    Thx and greetings from Germany,
    Julia

    We are nearly there!
A] - righclick "convert-to-method": @Bill: thx again, your approach worked for ppt, doc-files etc.
    2 problems:
    1) exception: for jpegs/bmps it doesn't work (the file is still opened after conversion, strange).
    2) the output-folder. it only accepts the standard "output-folder documents/*.pdf" (which is a step further but not my end-goal). If i choose another output-folder via "browse", this setting is NOT SAVED (even after clicking on "accept" + "ok").
my goal: the the file should be automatically saved in THE SAME folder the original file is in (seems that can't be achieved and the standard folder is the only thing where to convert in?).
Personal background for understanding: i have many folders with several ppts in it. Once i send it out to a customer, i always have to convert it into a pdf. thats why i want to save time (i know that i can convert it directly + send per mail, but i want an up-to-date copy of the pdf in the folder as well).
    B] - "the automated solution"- @Sandeep:
i just watched your link http://tv.adobe.com/watch/acrobat-tips-and-tricks/automating-tasks-in-acrobat/
about batch processing and i think its really helpful if i want to convert ALL of the files in one folder.
1 question regarding this: are the subfolders also affected?
As i understood from the video, i choose 1 "watched folder" and a "destination folder" (can be the same). E.g i have 1 big folder "designs" with many subfolders. I create a batch converting ppts to pdf to "the same folder" Once i run my batch, it converts ppts in the chosen folder "designs" + all subfolders into the same folder, right?
If this is the case, i get too many pdfs, for i only need the latest ppt-version to be converted (copies of old ppts are also in the files) ;(.
Do you have an idea how can i solve this?
Now we are very near to the end-solution of my goal:
i need this option "to the same folder" in my general settings when i convert a file via right-click. ATM it only works with the standard-folder documents/*.pdf
In A], my files are now instantly saved with the same name in 1 specific folder. I would be completely happy, if this folder would be alwys the same as the one with the original file (and not 1 specific folder)
2nd problem with a]: it does not apply to picture files (bmp, jpegs..)
So if we could solve this, i would be a completely happy girl
Guys, you are great, thx again for the whole struggle with my concerns!!

  • How to convert a PDF file into a full editable WORD file?

    Hi,
I tried to convert a pdf file into word but it is not fully editable. I can edit the title from the main page and that's it. The rest of the word document is saved as image. I tried editing teh pdf file but that one is not working either.
Please help on how to convert a PDF file into a full editable WORD file.
    Thank you

Not all PDF files are created equal.  When a PDF file is created with Adobe Tools it is usually "tagged" with information about the fonts the images, the layout etc...    This way when the PDF is saved to a new format like PPT or DOC then the results are usually usable.  However, if you have a PDF file that was not tagged for some reason then run the Accessibility tools on the PDF to acquire some basic tagging.  This may get you a better result.  Also if you have a PDF that is an image, then you may want to run OCR on it.

  • How to export a pdf to ppt

Trying to convert a pdf file to a powerpoint file.  When I open Adobe Reader, I see the option that says "convert to PPT" but when I click convert, it directs me to 'SIGN UP NOW' even though I just signed up 5 days ago and paid for a year subscription.  To get around this, I tried logging in online (yes, I'm logged in on Reader as well) to convert the pdf file online to a ppt but the 'convert to ppt' option disappears and I am left with only doc, docx, and rtf.  Any suggestions/help is greatly appreciated.

I suggest that you Contact Customer Care - click on the Still need help? button to chat with an agent.

  • Do you know how to convert form pdf to pages then to word doc?

Hello Everyone I use pages #Iwork #Mac so basically I have a pdf document with contains equations which I have to transcribe to a word document. But I don't know how to get started for adding these equations.. I will thank you so much http://img716.imageshack.us/img716/163/screenshot20130420at658.png
Please help me I am new with mac
I scanned this document frome of a page of papaer and I have to trascribe to a word document but actually I don't how to do that.

There’s a easy and free way, just go to docs.google.com, click the upload button to upload your pdf file. Remember to check the option "Convert text from PDF or image files to Google Docs documents " before you click the “start upload” button. After the upload is done you can find the converted file on your Google Docs, now copy the texts to an empty word file, done! With this method you can also convert pdf to ppt if you copy the converted tsts to your empty ppt file. Or you can simply use a PDF to word converter, Adobe has a professional software that can do that but I can't think of the name right now.

  • How to convert an pdf image into a jpeg

I just purchased export pdf and I'm trying to convert from pdf to word or ppt.  The pdf is an image / logo that I want to make a jpeg.  I used the export utility and keep getting random characters and not an image. I'm guessing it's looking for text.  Do I have the right utility?

I don't see converting to Word as the right way to go if you want a picture.
Instead, view in Adobe Reader as large as possible, take a screen shot, paste in PAINT.
