Converting a whole project from 96khz to 44.1khz

I've recently switched from recording at 24bit / 44.1khz to 24/96. Unfortunately this has brought me swiftly to the limits of my G5's CPU capabilities. What is the best way to convert an entire arrangement from 96khz to 44.1khz? I am not looking forward to going through each audio file one by one in Sample editor. There surely is an easy way to convert them all at once leaving the arranged regions uneffected.
My arrangements are typically quite big and I use a few power hungry plug-ins such as BFD, Stylus RMX and Atmosphere. I have easily enough RAM and I have 4 fast hard disks with critical streaming things like BFD on separate disks. The main audio files are on the really fast RAID 0 equipped Miglia DualDisk 320. The only thing holding me back is the actual CPU. Things have got a bit unusable lately with Core Audio error messages stopping playback etc.
What sort of plug in / track counts are people getting who have faster processors and who record at 24/96?

Go to the Audio Window. Select all of the files. Pull down "Audio File" menu to "Copy/Convert File(s)". Choose what rates, etc. you wish.
All done at once.

You should be able to copy the apps (and any other iTunes purchases) over to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases. And as long as apps remain available in the store, and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to purchase them, you should be able to re-download them in the future : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
If you are already on iOS 5+ on your iPad then you should be able to update the iPad directly on the iPad via Settings > General > Software Update .

Export a whole project from a computer to another

I believe that I have the same question. The thing on these forums is that there are so many people doing so many different things with so many different setups for just as many different reasons. Gotta be really specific. That being said, I hope that I'm clear enough. My wife has a Windows 7 PC running Premiere Pro CS6. I have a Mac running Premiere CC 2014 on Yosemite 10.10. She started a project with all of the media on her D: drive. She opens her project and goes to export it as an MP4 and the whole computer freezes up about 1/3 into it. We've tried a few things but I wanted to try and find out, is there any way to package up the project, maybe like After Effects does, so that I can easily move the project to my computer and try rendering it there. The folder where she saves all of her media is shared, but when her computer freezes up, the shares are not accessible. We both want to try separately to solve the issue, so, any way to easily package up everything the project needs and copy it to my Mac so that we can work independently on being successful?

VS2012: Retrieve my Project from application files?

What I do have is the published files with the application files : .application , . manifest and .deploy.

In my opinion, you can't get your whole project from those application files. I don't know about 'retrieve the project'. I suggest consulting your issue on the development

How to migrate CAF project from 7.0 to 7.2 ?

Hi, All.
     I have developed some caf projects with NW7.0. Now I have to migrate those projects to NW7.2.
     NWDS 7.2 seems be able to convert the caf project from NW7.0 to NW7.2, but not all of the project.
     After conversion I lost my application services and only reserved entity services.
     Dose there anyone know how to migrate the caf project completely?

Only bo part of caf project can be migrated, but I still need to recode the as.
It means nothing, because most codes were written in as part.
I decide to recode it. >.<

Yes, but slightly longwinded:
You need to convert the VOB files in the TS-Folder of the DVD back to DV which iMovie is designed to handle. For that you need mpegStreamclip:

which is a mere $20.
Once it is iMovie you can export from there as a Quicktime movie.

Obviously the foregoing only applies to DVDs you have made yourself, or other home-made DVDs that have been given to you. It will NOT work on copy-protected commercial DVDs, which in any case would be illegal.

In most cases you can just select the text and copy/paste. You can do that unless the file is a picture/scan.

I doubt you are going to be able to find all those previous versions and the time it would take to install, open the project, verify it, and everything in between (and without license keys, they would only be saved from trial versions which would be an issue), it seems it would be better just to start with Cp7 and put the effort into that.
Completely off topic, one of the things I like about Authorware is that Macromedia provided previous versions that would allow you to open up and save the projects to get to version 7. It was a nice little touch they provided for developers. I don't believe that Adobe does this for Captivate though.

After Effects, Layers change position when converting project from CC to CC 2014

When we convert some projects from CC to CC 2014 some of the layers are shifting position (both x & y).
Anyone else seeing this kind of problems?

Photoshop changed how layer bounds are calculated in some cases, which causes the Photoshop library that we include with After Effects to also have this change. We are currently working to determine how to fix this for the next update. It's tricky, because the new way that Photoshop is doing things is more correct... but it also means that projects created in previous versions look different when opened in the new version. We'll probably end up with a "legacy" option that will prevent this conversion from happening when opening old projects.

Premiere Pro CC scrambles media in-outs when converting CS5.5 Project

Bit of a strange situation here. Created a project in CS5.5, edited some WAV files on the timeline. WAV files had non-zero starting time codes (they were coming from ProTools).
Opened the project in CC, said yes to conversion.
About 20% of the clips are showing the 'media missing' diagonal bars (5 clips are totally slashed out, and 2 clips have some portion of the beginning of them slashed out). No audio plays during the diagonal bar sections.
One footage item (Part 2.wav) starts at 22;29 and runs to 50;03
An instance of this clip on the timeline has in=33;10, out=40;14, which seems right.
This is all the same in both CS5.5 and CC, but CC shows the slashy bars while 5.5 works fine.
Tried offlining/relinking, etc. With and without "align timecode" checked. No dice.
I can replicate this messed up timeline in a variety of ways:
1) Converting the project from 5.5 to CC by opening it in CC
2) Create a blank project in CC and import the whole 5.5 project, and reconnect media when asked
3) Create a blank project in CC and import just the single sequence, and reconnect media when asked
4) Convert the project from 5.5 to CC by opening it in CC; and then import the whole 5.5 project into the new one again
HOWEVER. Two ways do work:
1) If I convert the project from 5.5 to CC by opening it in CC, and then import just the single sequence from the 5.5 project, the imported sequence works perfectly. It doesn't even bring in its own WAV files - it realizes they're already in the project and draws from them instead. (The converted sequence is still broken, even though the identical imported one is working).
2) Opening the sequence in 5.5, copying the contents of the sequence, and pasting them into a CC project, works too.
I'm stumped - anyone have ideas of experiments to run or things to try?

I think you've got two solutions right there. General wisdom is to only work on new projects in the new version. Finish old projects in the version they were started in.

How to delete projects from Vault

Ok, here is the issue.
I work remotely on a laptop and my main library and vault are on my home computer.
I only keep the last couple of projects on the laptop and use the vault to backup those projects. I used managed files.
When I get home from the road, I export/import the projects to the home machine and master library to do further work and use vault on an external for backup.
So, on the laptop, I will delete projects to make more space on the hdd and I dont need them on the laptop any longer (they are already in the master library and vault at home).
However, the problem is that when I delete those projects and then update the vault, it does not seem to delete those projects in the vault. So the vault just keeps growing in size until it fills up and I cant seem to delete those projects from the vault. Again, both the laptop library and the laptop vault are simply for backup while on the road so I'd like to have the vault on the portable be able to stay synced with the library on the laptop. When I delete a project, it does the same in the vault to keep the external space consistent as well.
Is there any way to do this? Shouldnt the vault basically just back up the library and when something is deleted from the library it should be deleted from the vault as well?
As it is, I need to delete the entire vault when it fills the external and create a whole new one after deleting the projects from the library.
Is there an easier way?

I have not contacted AppleCare, but will if this is how its working for others.
Have you tried this and are sure it is working that way? After all, last week after deleting three projects from the laptop and main library and then updating the vault, I had a vault that was over 80 gigs in size while the library was now less than 20 gigs in size.
After deleting the vault and starting a new one, the new vault was approximately the same size as the library, actually slightly smaller like it is with the master vaults at home with the main library.
I have twice now had my external fill up with the vault while I had been constantly deleting old projects on the laptop. So it just seemed to keep adding new stuff to the vault, but not get rid of the old that I was deleting.

New Project From MS Powerpoint

Hi,
I've just installed and licensed Captivate 7. I am having problems using the New Project from MSPowerpoint or the Insert / Powerpoint Slide option for a Blank Project. I have tried this with both .ppt and .pptx files which I can open and save in Powerpoint 2007.
When I try to create a New Project from MSPowerpoint Captivate tells me it is parsing the file, then it converts the slides (only 2 slides in the presentation), and then it freezes, and does nothing and I have to close the application down from Task Manager. Creating a new project and then using the Insert / Powerpoint Slide option also freezes. I have tried this with more than one Powerpoint presentation. I have also tried this with 'Run the program as an Administrator' set.
I have also installed the 7.01 update, and uninstalled and reinstalled Captivate to check my installation.
Has anyone got any ideas as to how to get Captivate to import slides from Powerpoint?

Refreshing/deleting the Preferences folder is not mentioned, but that recommendation can be found in a lot of threads in this forum. Clearing cache regularly is another good practice, not with the files you are actively working on (they provide means to recover a file, besides backup that is by default not checked in Preferences).
When importing PPT did you check High Fidelity option?

Robo HTML 9 will not open our project from Source Control after initial start.

We have a project in version control that we have been using forever, since 2003 or so and many versions of RH. Now that we have upgraded to 9, this project will open the first time in version control and work normally. Once you close the project and attempt to reopen from the starter screen, it opens just great, just not in version control. The files are still set to read only. I have done this several times and the only way i can work on my project in version control is to act like i am opening a project from scratch, then it needs to overwrite all of my local files with the server files. It would not be so bad but I am 3000 miles away from the server and 13 hops plus a slow firewall on the other end. While this has never been a problem in the past it is a big problem because it takes hours for all the files to download and overwrite my local files.
This only happens with RH9 and Version Control 3.1. RH8 works no problem. So, I don't know if this is a RH9 starter problem or a Source Control Problem. Maybe I will make a similar thread in the RH area. I'll wait to see if I get any useful hits from this one first.
It is very strange, I had RH9 open for several days because I was afraid to close the project for this reason and yesterday I published for the month so the heat is less right now but today, it opened with no source control. If I go to Source Control the only thing i can select is put project in source control. That is how it got into source control after converting to RH9.
We have another project that seems to open from version control normally but we can only save topics in HTML view. No useful answers to that topic after a week.
Got any ideas???

Ok, here is a wierd one, I used the add to version control icon in the menu bar, It already knew the path so I figured I'm the only one who has been editing these files for the past few days so I clicked add to version control. It added it. I closed and reopeded and still had the same files checked out. Closed, checked in all, then reopened and it is working in SourceControl. Strange that after opening from source control and closing that you need to reopen and tell it to put the project into source control. Obviously some flag is not getting set somewhere. This might help others having problems reopening source control files.
