Converting All Files to Different Version

Is there a much quicker and happier way to convert my entire project to a different version of LabVIEW other than opening every single one of the 2000+ files? I've considered perhaps creating a VI to do this. Use VI Server to just open each .VI, save it, then close it. This would then hopefully include every single .ctl, yes? Thoughts, suggestions?

It is not entirely clear what you want. To convert to the current version, try masscompiling.
To convert to an earlier version, the "save for previous" menu entry is available in the project window. No need to open any VIs.

    System Specification :
    -XP with SP3
    -MS Office 2003
    -Flash V.10
    -Xcelsius Engage 2008 ( 5.3.0.0 )
    -Xcelsius Build number 12,3,0,670
   When I export output in swf format then xcelsius generating swf file of version 9. I want to export swf file in different versions of flash like (6,7,8,9) . I tried to install older versions of flash to do this but I am not able to open xcelsius in older version. I am getting error saying 'Install latest flash player'.
Is there any way to export swf files in different versions?
Is this build is compatible with only flash 10?

Xcelsius only support Flash version from 9 on. There is no way to export to 6,7 or 8.

Adobe After Effects CC not converting all files from templates

Hello, I recently purchased Adobe After Effects CC, and i've been using Videoblocks.com for some After Effects templates. I've used them before on a different computer running AE CS6, and they work perfectly fine. However on my computer, it does not convert the files in order to be compatible with the CC Version, like this:
And when the project is opened, it appears like this:
As if the files never fully converted over, however some do? Any explanation on how I could fix this from not happening? Would greatly appreciate it.

Hey Mylenium, I reinstalled Quicktime and the problem still seems to be there. I'm not really certain what other Third-Party CoDec I should install/reinstall. It doesn't seem to retrieve some JPEG and PSD files, which I have Photoshop installed as well, so I don't exactly know what I should do.
I'm kind of new with the Creative Cloud, so apologies in advance, haha.

Opening files over different versions

hi. i am currently working on CC but regualry travel to a partner company that use both CS5 and CS6. when i open my files in the different versions it does not open my drawings i need OUTSIDE of my artboards, is there any way of saving my files so that they are editable over all versions ?

save your files in CS5 format.

I find QuickTime Pro 7.6.6 plays .mkv files that QuickTime 10. has problems with. I have Perian http://perian.org/ and DivX http://www.divx.com/en/mac loaded to expand QT's capabilities.

Can't convert Lossless files to iPod version

I know this has been asked and answered for iTunes 9. I hope there is an easy solution for 10.5.3
I have imported hundreds of songs at Apple Lossless, I'm a stickler for sound quality. My iPod classic has plenty of room to load them.
My wife got a 16gb iPhone and wants tio use it as her only iPod.
I need to create lower quality versions of the songs I already have, say 128 or 160 versions. When I highlight songs and go to Advanced, the option to create an iPod or iPhone version is grayed out. I used to be able to convert and store two versions. Is this no longer doable?

I don't think the "convert to ipod" format is presented unless you are actually synching to a device at the time, but you can convert to 128k AAC at any time if you don't mind ending up with a lot of extra copies in naother format.

Different format of .class file in different versions

I found that the format of .class files(extracted from rt.jar) in jdk1.3.1 are different from those in jdk1.3.0._02.
Can anyone tell me what's the exact difference between them?
and Is there any format difference between jdk1.3.1, jdk1.2, and jdk1.02?

The format or the content? Those two are significantly different.
As far as I know there can't be any difference in format, not in 1.3.x versions. If there were then the class files wouldn't run in the different jvms, and a new spec would have to be issued.
I am rather certain that the isn't any format change between 1.1.x and 1.2.x/1.3.x. The spec is rather specific about what did change and the format was not one of those.

Adding manifests to Jar files using different versions

I have been using the following to add a manifest pointer to my main class called JTiming
C:\jdk1.1.8\bin\jar cmfv MyMainClass.txt JTiming.jar *
and it works a treat, when I unjar the jar and look at the manifest file it includes the pointer to JTiming and lists each file jarred. When I try it with JDK1.3.1 or JDK1.4.1 jar.exe's they both fail to create the correct manifest entries. I can't see any notice of a change to the command line ooptions for the jar.exe's for these newer versions what am I missing?

You seem to misunderstand - if you look at the command line I wrote in my original posting, I do exactly what you suggest!! I am able to include a reference to my starting class, my problem is that I appear to be able to get my own manifest inclusion using 1.1.8 jar.exe, but not using the jar.exe from 1.3.1 or 1.4.0

The built application should still work since it's relying on the LabVIEW Run-Time, not the development environment, and the Run-Time is a free download. However, the built executable should still show the "evaluation version" watermark right on the front panel. Not something I would show to prospective customers.

The new Premiere Pro 8.1 or 2014.1 will convert your Project files as soon as you open a Project created in Previous version of Premiere Pro including Premiere Pro 8.0.1 or 2014.0.1. So, if you have created a project in 8.0.1 and you open it in 8.1 it will give you a prompt to rename the file. Once you save it, you cannot open it in any Previous version of Premiere Pro including 8.0.1. This change is made in the 8.1 update, before this it was possible to open a Project created in the latter update into the former update and Vice Versa.

Writing the files in different server

I am using oracle8i. I am converting the data into XML files. My company wants to
keep the converted XML files in different server. I am planning to use UTL file to
create the files. So UTL FILE would not write in another server. What is the
best way to solve this issue ?.
My option is
1. Create the XML files in Oracle server(using UTL FILE).
2. Write the batch script to move the files to another server.(can you give me a sample script for writing the batch file ?)
Is there any other alternate way to solve this problem ?.
I would appreicate if you could give me any other simplest way.

How to convert rm files to ipod in windows

im trying to convert a rm file to a format that my ipod will recognize, im using cucuosft and other programs that seem not to be able to convert to the right format, it says i need to install some codec!!im using windows..can anybody help please.

Ctrl B to turn on top menu.
Select your video file to convert
then
File > Create New Version > Create iPad or iPod Version
or
File > Create New Version > Create iPad or Apple TV version

Converting Audio Files to AAC format

I have a mix of MPEG and AAC files in iTunes. Is there an advantage to converting all files to AAC?

YOGenereally, you shouldn't convert from a lossy format AAC or MP3) to another lossy fomrat.
It's called loss because you lose information when you convert it.
If you only use these files on the computer and the iPod, I'd recommend AAC. Better quality at same bit rate as MP3.
