Converting CS5 Web Gallery to CC Possible ?

The web gallery function in CS5 seems to be completely different in CC.
Original system was Windows XP 32 bit with CS5 PS, that crashed and setup a new system with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and Adobe CC.
The AOM was installed (Adobe Output Module), which apparently is the new web gallery function.
My question is, can the previous data from the CS5 Web Gallery be migrated to the AOM in CC ?

Not sure what you mean exactly. The output files are just HTML which you can edit/ modify anywhere. Modifying the underlying scripts and templates is anotehr story, but as should be obvious, there's a reason why Adobe didn't bother to drag it along... Would be quite a bit of work to polish it up and, which is probably the more critical part, bring it up to current web standards compliance...

Bridge CS5 web gallery plays locally but won't launch online

After creating a slide show in Bridge CS5.1, the preview within Bridge and in my browsers work fine after turning off popup supression. I then upload to my site, and the only thing that displays is a blank page.

I've tried with several of the default templates and the results are consistent.

nothing in bridge's preferences refer to the output controls. any help
appreciated.
In general you don't need to reinstall at first trouble. A restart holding
down option key and from the pop up menu resets all preferences to default
settings including the default workspaces.
But could you be a little more specific about your workflow, f.i. on what
output you are clicking for the module (the default workspace, the icon or
menu view-workspace-output) And does that window look as output containing
at least the content panel, preview panel and output panel with all its
settings (document-lay out-overlays-header etc).
Maybe you can provide a screenshot of what you are seeing when in output?

Bridge CS5 web gallery custom ......

Hoping someone can help as I'm a newbie.
I've tried using Bridge to create a web gallery but it doesn't allow me to customise the size. It only accepts 675px x 450 px, is there a way that I'm able to customise the size to fit within a current template I've already made in dreamweaver?

Your best bet is to download the legacy plug in for creating web galleries. The problem with the new design is that your are basally locked into flash except for a single HTML selection that has very few adjustable parameters. The film strip option, which I favor, is limited to flash for example.
If you like flash this the default is the choice for you but if you want to make changes such as adding detailed captions editing HTML files is the way to go.

How to add Web Gallery in Bridge CS5

Hi there,
I am creating a photo album with web gallery in Bridge CS5. I find out that Is it possible to enable vertical scroll in to the portrait pictures? Usually portrait pictures are too small when they are diminish to the screen. Here is an example of an portrait with vertical scroll, and I think they work better that way. Or what do you think?
Is it possible to find third party template to Bridge CS5 web gallery software that has scrollable slide area? Or is it possible to make couple of modifications to the basic templates?

How to Edit Web Gallery Output from CS5?

Hello! I just upgraded from Photoshop CS3 to CS5. (Got some scrambling to do to catch up!) I had been using the old File>Automate>Web Photo Gallery to create galleries for my Web site. Massaged a little in Dreamweaver MX (I know, I know...) they look something like this:

I found out how to add the old Web Photo Gallery back into Photoshop CS5, but was curious to find out what Bridge CS5 would do with Output>Web Gallery. I experimented with the Standard template and was mostly happy with the result. Here's what I got:

Trouble is I'd like to be able to customize the output a little more than allowed within the template itself. It looks like the output has Flash, JavaScript, XML, HTML and maybe other programming resources. I'm fairly familiar with HTML 3 and CSS, but am not a programmer. Can anybody recommend what high-level editing tools (example: Microsoft Word for fancy text editing) I could use to make some modest tweaks? The default modules are fine, but I'd at least like to be able to add a link back to my main gallery page like you see at the top right of my old Web Photo Gallery pages.
Also- are there 3rd party templates for Bridge CS5 Web Gallery?

Oh my, I missed that completely! Thanks very much for bringing that to my attention. In the meantime I found that ACDSee would do a Web gallery that works OK for me. However I will go back to Bridge Output Web Gallery this afternoon and five it a whirl. Again, many thanks for jumping in and pointing that out to me. I appreciate it a lot!

Possible to include keywords in Web Gallery?

I'm fairly new to LR, just been using it a couple weeks as a recent switcher from Aperture, I'm really liking it! One question I have concerns exporting to a web gallery: is it possible to include keywords? I'm using a PayPal template and have also checked some of the included templates but I don't see an option anywhere to add keywords to the caption area. Is this possible and I'm just missing it?

And call the appropriate things according to the parameter used. But if you can't make alterations to the other application, I'm not sure how you can do any changes at all.

The caption reads as the original file name, but the actual image has a new name. This is problematic, as my clients will right-click selected images from my galleries to save and forward for approval, but the file name is not the same as the original.
As an example: VLNK0321.jpg is renamed as _4856316150.jpg. (In Preferences/Output, the "Convert multi-byte file names to Full ASCII" is unchecked.)
Is there any way to fix this little (for me--BIG) problem?

In Windows, browse to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Bridge CS5 Extensions\Adobe Output Module\mediagallery\resources\scripts
In the file named "galleryCreator.jsxinc" replace the lines:
AOM.AmgGalleryCreator.createUniqueFileName = function(filePath, jpgFile, createMode)
    var alteredName;
    while (true)
         alteredName = "_";
        for (var i=0; i<10; i++)
             alteredName += Math.floor(Math.random() * 10);
         alteredName += ".jpg";

...with the following:

You can cut and paste the above. Just save a version of the original file somewhere in case of screwups...

I believe I've discovered the file/script that does the renaming. I've done some testing, and have been able to change the way Bridge does the changes, but not able to keep the original file name.
The file is "galleryCreator.jsxinc", found in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Bridge CS5 Extensions\Adobe Output Module\mediagallery\resources\scripts.
I'm not a code-guy, so I'm hoping that someone with more smarts than I can help. Below is the part of "galleryCreator.jsxinc" that does the re-naming. Simply deleting this entire part of the script renders Bridge unusable. So allowing the script to create the altername is important. If the alteration could consist of only adding the "underscore" prefix to the original file name, all would be well...
Here's the pertient portion of the script:
AOM.AmgGalleryCreator.createUniqueFileName = function(filePath, jpgFile, createMode)
    var alteredName;
    while (true)
        alteredName = "_";
        for (var i=0; i<10; i++)
            alteredName += Math.floor(Math.random() * 10);

How to add Web Gallery captions in Bridge CS5

I am creating a photo album (web gallery) in Bridge CS5 but there doesn't seem to be a way to add captions to the photos. I don't want the File Names to appear, I want to be able to choose several photos to have captions which I will type in. Is there a way to do this? The web gallery template I am using is Left Filmstrip.

Will the Airtight template let you put in a separate caption for EACH photo, or just one caption that goes on every single slide?

Web Gallery didn't work on CS4 and still Doesn't Work on CS5??? WTF

Can somebody please help us with this big issue.
Web Gallery didn't work on CS4 and we gave up, got Capture one, but now we upgrade it to CS5 and still DOESN'T WORK??? How this people never fixed that issue? can you please get real????

As Jocheim points out, this is not the place to get help. My guess is that you need Photoshop Just choose the appropriate sub-forum.
Also, this ARTICLE might be very useful at gathering the types of info, that will help others help you. Note: much relates to Adobe Premiere, so you can skip over those parts, but you should get the general idea.

Hello I created a web gallery in cs5 bridge. When I try to upload to dreamweaver I get an error message (access denied when creating directory). Is there any other way to to get my web gallery to dreamweaver? Thank you for your help in advance.

You can't rename the actual files from Web as they export. There's nothing in the SDK on it either.
Lightroom does change the naming to make it websage. For example, spaces are turned into underscores.
If you need sequential files, I'd suggest getting the files in order, then exporting the files as highest quality Jpeg with a sequential naming system.
Click the Add to Catalog checkbox, and perhaps use 'The same folder' and then use a subfolder for organistion.
Use these new images to create the web gallery.

No way to change it, it's a "feature." (Not!)
File a bug report. It makes web galleries useless for me.

Brigde CS5 in Windows 7 64bit - drops out photos in Web Gallery preview

Is there a limit to the number of photos that web gallery will display? I created a web gallery and then started over again as instructions I read stated that I should put the TITLE on each photo. Once I put the title in, out of 24 photos that use to display, only 20 now display.
Can someone explain why this is happening? I haven't even gotten to the point of trying to embed in my website yet. Perhaps Bridge isn't the best tool to use?

And right you are! After posting this message I started reading through all the help files and finally did find the same answer. Now my problem is the linking as I have a very strange hosting set up. Two sites, same directory. So all my images have broken links. Something new to work out!
