Converting Email from Mac Entourage (.mbox) to Outlook (.pst)
Is there any possible solution available for importing entourage 2008 .mbox files to outlook pst (office 2010).
I have already tried the import function and other methods available online but have failed every time.
I dont want many but one solution that will be able to transfer over 5000 mails in one go or as few steps as possible.
What kind of email account? IMAP or POP?
Any IMAP email accounts should be easy as you will just need to add the email account to Apple Mail as any messages and folders should be on the email server.
For POP, then you will need to do some sort of export/import. You could try "drag and drop" from Outlook to Mail. I believe this will work, but I don't fully recall.
Bulk mail transfer can be done best with the help of applications.

Please help me Migrate all the Thunderbird data to Outlook 2013.You can add multiple accounts in Outlook and use them separately. But to transfer your emails from Mac Thunderbird you first need to convert the emails of Thunderbird to .PSt format in order to import into Outlook Windows.
There are multiple options available online as this is a common issue.

What's the best software that can be installed on a windows computer that will convert email from an outlook 2003 .pst file to an mbox file used in Microsoft Entourage 2008? I want one that is legitimate (genuine), free and can convert over 100 emails.

Posting this to the Exchange forum because I'm hoping there's a server-side solution.
SOME emails received from an external sender (gmail.com address, not sure the mail client) are causing Outlook 2010 to hang when trying to open the email. Outlook becomes non-responsive when viewing the email through the preview pane or by double-clicking
the email. If I open Task Manager I see that the outlook.exe process memory use starts increasing very quickly. As far as I know the only resolution is to end the task and re-open Outlook (and avoid that email).
I've found several excellent threads on these same symptoms, but there seems to be a variety of causes. I've tried a bunch of things so far:
- Tried opening from another system on our network running Outlook 2010, same issue.
- Tried opening from OWA, opens fine.
- Tried exporting the email to a PST, then opening from a completely different system outside of our network, but still running Outlook 2010, same issue.
- Tried exporting the email to a PST then opening from a completely different system outside of our network, running Outlook 2013, email opens fine.
- Tried setting Outlook to open all emails as PLAIN TEXT, opens fine.
Systems are running the latest Outlook 2010 SP and patches, and running a variety of OS's. Only common denominator seems to be Outlook 2010.
I was hoping to find a way to convert incoming emails from this sender to open as Plain Text using a Hub Transport rule, but cannot find a way to do it.
Unfortunately I have no control over the sender, so don't know what could be triggering the problem.
Can anyone advise on a possible solution? Any way to someone convert emails from a particular sender to Plain Text automatically?Either you inform the sender to configure in sender's outlook to send only to you in plain text please check this

The logo is an attachment. Anything in an email message that is not text must be sent as an attachment in order to be compliant with email protocols. But many modern email programs will automatically display the contents of some attachments. Apple Mail will display JPEGs and single-page PDFs. Presumably your correspondents are using an application that displays JPEGs but not PDFs.
Some email programs expect attachments to come at the end of the message, not intermixed with the other contents of the message. Such an app may treat everything after the first attachment as attachments. That might cause the different behavior when additional attachments are included before the attachment in your signature. -

When I send an email from Mac Mail, why does Mail go to the background and the Finder comes to the front? I want it to stay in Mail.
Did you check your user name and password in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...tap your email account, tap SMTP, then tap the primary server name. Make sure the settings there are correct.

If you mean using the .Mac mail web interface, the answer is no. The .Mac web interface address book does not support the groups defined in OS X's Address book.

This thread is getting unbelievably messy for what originally was such a simple question. Nowhere did I say that the procedure I suggested was meant for a particular type of account or mailbox. It allows any messages to be exported in standard mbox format. It’s Stanley who mentioned IMAP as an alternative procedure to transfer mail between mail clients, and what I said in the post you’re replying to is precisely that IMAP has nothing to do with what I was talking about...
What does “suitable for archiving” mean? If you have any questions that have nothing to do with the problem of transferring mail from Mail to Entourage, which is what we’re supposed to be talking about here, please either find a thread that discusses the same questions or start a new topic to properly discuss them in their own thread instead of hijacking someone else’s thread. Unable to send email from Mac using Outlook for Mac 2011
I have a single user that cannot send email from the Mac after migrating to Exchange 2013 on-prem. I myself am on the same Exchange server and am using a Mac with Office 2011 and am able to send/receive emails without any issues.
When the user sends an email it goes to the sent mail folder and syncs with the server and can be seen on a windows machine running any other version of Office (same in OWA). I've logged the user in on my Mac and blown away my profile and seeing the same issue.
Not sure if this narrows my issue down to the Exchange server receiving the send request from a Mac or if it's some setting in Outlook on the Mac?
I do not see anything in the logs on the server and have not seen any error son the Mac.
Any thoughts as to where my issues is?Hi,
According to your description, I find that there is a single user cannot send email.
I suggest using Outlook on Windows machine and sending emails via this single user to verify whether the emails can be sent.
If the single user can send email via Outlook on Windows machine, it seems an issue on the Mac side.
I suggest asking Outlook for Mac Forum for help so that we can get more professional suggestions.

If can't send emails in Outlook, it seems an issue on the single user side.
I suggest trying to access the single user's mailbox via OWA to verify whether the mailbox has been migrated completely.

I have recently bought a windows laptop as majority companions in my office have windows only. I also have mac book pro having apple mail as my e-mail client. I work in a small company in which e-mail is the life blood of our company. So now what I need to do is move all my emails from apple mail to outlook that is present in windows laptop. I haven't found any answers or discussions regarding this topic on this forum site. Can any one please help me get over with this problem or atleast guide me or direct me to the forum where solution for this query is posted.

Thank you.If both system are using the IMAP mail provider all you have to do is setup the connection to the mail server and all the emails and folders will be copied down to the windows computer. That is what IMAP is for. The mail stays on the server, and can be store on the local computer also, and when you connect to the server with another device, computer, phone or pad, all the mail with folders gets copied to the other device.
But I think some of your mail was gotten using POP so it is not longer on the server.
Or you have emails in local folder only and they would be on the server. But you can create folder on the server in one mail program, or on the mail web interface and then copy those emails into those folder on the server byt copying them in one of the email programs. Then when you logon with the other device all of them will be downloaded to the other device.
